Entrance to the church will be via The Parks / Organ Door only. This is to help us arrange youth activities as well as to facilitate track and trace.

You will no longer need to book before coming to a service. However, we will be asking for your name and contacts for test and trace.

You will not need to wear a face covering whilst sitting in your seat or whilst singing. However, you are still welcome to wear a face covering if you would like to. We also ask that people wear a face covering when moving around the Church.

Hand Sanitiser will be available on entry and exit, but please bring your own if you wish to use it during the Service.

The windows and doors will be open in the Church to allow as much ventilation as possible.

We understand that some will want to continue social distancing. So we encourage people NOT to hug/handshake unless you know that people are happy to do so.

Please do not come for worship or enter the building if you are showing any Covid symptoms in any way.

There will be no refreshments following the services. However, we will be having Church Picnics in Blenheim Gardens at 12 noon following Sunday Services – weather permitting!

Where our services include communion this will be shared in a safe way using pre-prepared bread and individual glasses of non-alcoholic wine.

We will no longer be holding a Service on Thursdays, but we will continue our 10am times of prayer on Facebook.

This also applies to the weekly prayer meetings held at The Hub.

Please remember we are still worshipping together as a church albeit online only for a while.

The Hope Centre will continue to function at this time, carrying out the vital work of supporting rough sleepers and the most vulnerable in our community.

We will, of course, prayerfully review this decision as a team on a regular basis, to ensure that we can open the church again for socially distanced worship as soon as it is safe to do so.

The ways in which we are able to provide pastoral care remain unaffected. If you have a pastoral need of any description please do not hesitate to contact Paul, Richard, Mark or the church office in the first instance.

We have an amazing God who knows the plans he has for us and therefore we can declare, He is still God, He is still in control, and the church that bears his Son’s name will worship him Sunday by Sunday no matter what. We need therefore to trust in his timing, rely on his promise, wait on his answers, believe in his miracles, rejoice in his goodness, and relax in his presence.

Breakfast

Pray for those in the caring and emergency services, often tired, discouraged and weary.
Those in hospital, and those in intensive care.

Mid-morning

Pray for the bereaved, anxious and fearful.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
In Jesus’ name, amen

Lunchtime

If possible, go out and move around and pray for your community, streets and local businesses. Those shielding or in isolation.

Early afternoon

Pray for the church in the UK, that we would carry the gospel, be salt and light.

Mid-afternoon

Pray for the poor, unemployed, homeless.
Those with addictions.
Those struggling with mental health issues.

Late afternoon

Pray for the vulnerable, children, those with disability and their carers.
Those who are lonely.
Those who are fearful in their home situation.

Evening

Pray for those in positions of power and leadership and decision makers.

Nighttime

Pray:

Lord of grace,
may your goodness fall in our nations.
Father of love,
pour out your love on, in and through us.
Spirit of fellowship,
build and strengthen communities across the UK.

After much consideration, The Hub will be used for socially distanced Prayer Meetings and a Coffee Bar.

Starting on Monday 3rd August, on Monday mornings there will be a Prayer Meeting starting at 9.30am.  This will also include the live-streaming of prayers on Facebook at 10.00am for anyone who wishes to join this way, rather than coming to the Hub.  Following the prayer meeting there will be a socially distanced coffee morning from 10.30am until 12.30pm. So even if you cannot get there to pray, please come and catch up with each other.

On Thursday mornings at 10.30am there will be a Coffee Morning at The Hub, as well as on Zoom.  People are welcome to come along for a socially distanced cup of coffee or tea.

The Hub will also be trialing opening as a coffee bar while the soft play area cannot open.  This gives the opportunity of offering a space for house groups to use as a meeting place. If you would like to learn more, or book a time slot, contact Luke on thehub@minehead-baptist.com.

This UNITED Prayer Gathering will have three sections:

PART 1 – worship on Facebook or YouTube livestreams.

PART 2 – praying together in small groups in Zoom Rooms. There’ll be Zoom rooms for different areas. Our area host will be Mig Partridge (Youth Pastor, Creech St Michael BC). Please contact Paul or Richard for the Zoom info.

PART 3 – gathering together on Facebook or YouTube to hear back from the Zoom hosts about what God has been saying to us as we prayed together.
