GoldLine Free Ride Zone on Bluemound & Wisconsin Avenue - July 21 (Until Late Spring 2017)

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 21

EFFECTED AREA: 92nd and Wisconsin to the main Zoo entrance on Bluemound Rd

Milwaukee County Transit is working with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to provide free rides during the Wisconsin Avenue Bridge construction project in the Zoo Interchange. This is being done to provide a safe route for pedestrians to travel in the area during the construction of the new interchange.

• Starting May 18, 2015 with the closing of the Wisconsin Avenue Bridge, operators should allow passengers to board westbound and eastbound buses at and between the main Zoo entrance on Bluemound Road and at 92nd/ Wisconsin, without paying a fare.

• NO TRANSFERS ARE TO BE ISSUED in this free ride zone. If you are boarding in this area and need a transfer, you can pay on the bus you are transferring to.

Route 63 - Ozaukee County Shared Ride Taxi Service

The Glencoe Place & Port Washington Road stop on the Route 63 provides a connection to the Ozaukee County Shared Ride Taxi. The Ozaukee County Transit System's Shared Ride Taxi provides service to the general public, and door to door transportation for the elderly and disabled within Ozaukee County. The Green Bay Road & Cherrywood Lane stop on Routes 12, 49 & 276 provides a connection to the Ozaukee County Shared Ride Taxi. Wisconsin & Cass stop #764 - Feb 8

The westbound stops at Wisconsin & Cass will return to regular service, effective Wednesday, February 8, 2017, due to the construction ending at Northwestern Mutual.

Routes 40, 43, 44, 46, 48, 79, 137, 143: will return to regular service at stop #764 farside at Wisconsin & Cass.

Routes 14, 49, Goldline: will temporarily stop at stop #764 stop located farside at Wisconsin & Cass.

Detour Routes 49 & 143 - Wells Street Closed - February 21-23, March 6

Effective February 21st-23rd and March 6, 2017, due to the Greater Milwaukee Auto Show at the Wisconsin Center, Routes 49 & 143 will detour off of Wells Street between 6th & 4th Streets. Use stops outside of the affected area.

Detour Route 63 - 76th Street Bridge Reconstruction - February 22 (through late October 2017)

Effective February 22, 2017, through late October 2017, due to the 76th Street Bridge reconstruction, Route 63 will detour off of Silver Spring between 68th Street & Fond du Lac. Use stops outside of the affected area.
