Supported by the European Commission, the conference will bring together world's leading researchers, ELSI experts, health economists, payers, patients and industry representatives, regulatory authorities and HTA experts and ICPerMed members including ministries representatives, research funding and policy organisations.
Within the last years, ICPerMed gathered and analysed needs from relevant stakeholders, defining challenges and actionable levers. In this context, ICPerMed developed a Vision Paper focusing on five challenges or perspectives in personalised medicine:

•	Citizen engagement,
•	Involvement of health providers,
•	Implementation within healthcare systems,
•	Health-related information,
•	Economic value of implementation.

In the Vision Paper, ICPerMed provides keys on how to cross personalised medicine barriers through essential and transversal pillars that will allow improved therapy, diagnostic and preventive approaches, as well as new healthcare concepts for the benefit of citizens and patients.

During the conference, ICPerMed will be committed to demonstrate the importance and the need to address personalised medicine challenges through the prism of these critical pillars focusing on data & technology, intersectoral synergies and education & literacy necessary to initiate the translation into healthcare systems. To this end, the conference will comprise keynote lectures focusing on the implementation of personalised medicine approaches into healthcare systems for the benefit of patients, citizens and the society as a whole. In addition, in a specific dedicated session, ICPerMed will feature and honour best practices in personalised medicine research through the ICPerMed Recognition 2020, that aims to recognise, encourage, promote and disseminate outstanding examples.

Our team is multidisciplinary with 3 PU-PH, 2 MCU, 2 PH, 4 CNRS or INSERM researchers, 1 postdoc, 5 thesis students, 4 masters, 3 Engineers and technicians to make a direct link between biology and the clinic. Our laboratory is part of IRCAN INSERM U1081 / CNRS 7284 hosted by the Antoine Lacassagne Center for Cancer Research located in Nice, France.

Aging is usually perceived as a process that results from the combined influence of constitutional or so-called « genetic » factors, life-style associated factors and external events. Understanding these multiple interconnections requires synergy between many areas of molecular, cellular or biomedical experimental biology or biology, more dedicated to the study of aging and age-related diseases such as cancer. To this goal, the Institute for Research on Cancer and Aging Nice (IRCAN UMR7284, U1081) was created on January 1st, 2012, by the University of Cote d'Azur (UCA), the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (Inserm), and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). The IRCAN was established to develop a strong research center focusing on cancer and aging, in the Medical School of Nice and in partnership with the cancer “Center Antoine Lacassagne” (CAL) and the Nice University Hospital (CHUN).

The research carried out at the IRCAN involves major areas of biology, from basic research to medical applications, with the objectives of improving our understanding of the common foundation between aging and cancer, and developing innovative strategies to prevent and cure cancer and chronic age-related pathologies.

Our laboratory is made up of about fifteen people and we work in a dynamic and international environment. The candidate will also benefit from the scientific environment (14 teams and around 200 people dedicated to research on cancer and aging) and the technical platforms made available by IRCAN.

The Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology (IPBS) and the Centre for Integrative Biology (CBI) in Toulouse have launched a joint call for the recruitment of new group leaders.

IPBS and CBI are leading research institutes of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Toulouse, respectively founded in 1996 and 2016. They are located in Toulouse, southwest France, on the main Campus of the Université Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier, offering multidisciplinary education in the fields of Science, Health, Engineering and Technology, and developing one of the most important scientific research clusters in France.

The CBI-Toulouse conducts internationally recognized research in in fundamental aspects of the structure and function of complex biological systems. Research at CBI covers all scales from individual molecules to the whole organism, groups and animal societies. It is multidisciplinary, combining a wide range of research fields from genetics, epigenetics and RNA biology to microbiology, cell biology, chromatin / chromosome dynamics, developmental biology, neurobiology, collective animal behavior, as well as computational and systems biology.

The IPBS-Toulouse is a world leader in the discovery, characterization and validation of novel pathways and pharmacological targets in the fields of cancer, infection and inflammation, through the use of molecular and cellular biology approaches, together with in vivo experiments. It conducts state-of-the-art research in cancerology, immunology, microbiology, structural biology, proteomics, and biophysics.

The two institutes bring together more than 650 scientists and supporting staffs, including more than 100 national and international postdoctoral fellows and PhD students, in 57 research groups.

The Department of Bioengineering offers courses for engineering students at the bachelor's, master's and PhD levels. It hosts the Biomechanics and Bioengineering (UMR CNRS 7338) and Enzyme and Cell Engineering (UMR CNRS 7025) research laboratories. There are modules (part of the UTC Common Core) for entry-level
undergraduates, as well as specialized majors within the Engineering curriculum and at the master's level. The Department maintains strong connections with industry in teaching as well as in research, and has built close links with academic institutions and partners internationally. Over the course of three years, Engineering students enrolled at the Department of Bioengineering acquire knowledge and skills in both engineering and life sciences to prepare them for a career in agrifood,
biotechnology, or in the biomedical area.

The French Government has recently reinforced its commitment to pediatric cancer research through an additional annual 5M € plan coordinated by INCa, in conjunction with French research organizations (AVIESAN), public and private operators in oncology, healthcare professionals, health service users and voluntary bodies, including parents' associations. This new funding, repeated in 2020, reinforces the efforts of the French government, which has made research in paediatric oncology a priority. In this context, a call for proposals has been opened to enhance the attractiveness of pediatric oncology research for young talents and facilitate their career in pediatric oncology research.
