								<title>Torn Through Time Audition Notice</title>

Manitoba Theatre for Young People is in search of adult actors for:
TORN THROUGH TIME&amp;nbsp;By Carrie Costello, Frances Koncan &amp;amp; Cherissa Richards&amp;nbsp;Directed by Ann Hodges
Part of our 2018/2019 Season&amp;nbsp;Rehearsal Begins: December 31, 2018&amp;nbsp;Opens on the Mainstage:	January 24, 2019&amp;nbsp;Tour Begins: February 4, 2019	Tour Closes: March 24, 2019

As this is a new play, selections of the script will be available to read at MTYP after Monday, March 26.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS&amp;nbsp;Jess is a 10 year old girl who loves Lego and who decides to present Alice Fitch (of Lego Hogwarts fame) as her hero for a school assignment. Faced with the mockery of her peers, she goes searching for alternatives in an ancient piece of research technology: a library book.&amp;nbsp;Thana is a 10 year old Chipewyan girl from the Manitoban Subarctic, early 1700&amp;rsquo;s. After the play, Thanadelthur became a guide and interpreter for the Hudson&amp;rsquo;s Bay Company and was instrumental in forging a peace agreement between the Chipewyan and the Cree people.&amp;nbsp;Rose is a 10 year old girl from the east coast of Canada, 1784. Even though Rose was born into slavery in the States, after the play, Rose Fortune became a successful business woman and the first female police officer in Canada.&amp;nbsp;Helen is a 10 year old girl from the west coast of Canada, 1920. After the play, Helen Harrison became a civil aviation instructor and she was the first Canadian Air Transport Auxiliary ferry pilot during the Second World War.

Auditions will be by appointment only. Successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an audition time. Applicants will be asked to prepare sides selected from the show.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONSAlexander, A. A. Milne is Christopher Robin&amp;rsquo;s father. He is the most prominent narrator and also plays the role of Pooh Bear. Alice is nanny to Christopher Robin, his care giver. Alice plays the roles of Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Owl. Tasker is the gardener. Tasker also plays the role of Tigger and Piglet.

								<title>MTYP General Auditions</title>
								<description>Pablo Felices-Luna, Artistic Director, will be holding General Auditions in Winnipeg for  Manitoba Theatre for Young People&amp;rsquo;s 2018/2019 Season on:
Tuesday, April 3rd &amp;amp; Wednesday, April 4th, 2018.
Actors are invited to submit a headshot and resume.&amp;nbsp;Auditions will be by appointment only. Actors are asked to prepare two contrasting monologues of their choice, no longer than two minutes in length each. Alternatively, actors may prepare one monologue and a contrasting song to be sung with an instrumental CD or acapella.

Actors who wish to be considered for the 2018/2019 season are encouraged to participate in general auditions. Actors who were seen at 2017/2018 general auditions will be considered for show specific auditions and need not resubmit.&amp;nbsp;
Manitoba Theatre for Young People is a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres and engages professional artists who are members of Canadian Actors&amp;rsquo; Equity Association under the terms of the Canadian Theatre Agreement.
