The device has a solar panel that helps charge a 1320mAH battery inside the case and the thing sells for $79.95.

The iPhone is still in second place for smartphones in the US according to the latest data from comScore. The iPhone is still far behind RIM who holds the top spot.

Jailbreaking the iPhone typically requires software and some free time. A new hardware jailbreak dongle called the iDongle has surfaced that can jailbreak any iPhone 3G or 3GS running OS 3.1.2 by just plugging it in.

Guitarists that would like to be able to record their jam session on the iPhone have a new cable that allows just that. The cable is called the Guitarbud and lets an electric guitar be connected to the iPhone along with a set of headphones.

Games are the favorite items on the App Store for many of us. A new report from Mobclix has shown that the App Store now has more eBooks than it has games with 26,500 eBooks on the store.

Apple recently killed off about 5,000 apps on the App Store that were adult in nature. A rumor was circulating that a new category for explicit apps might be coming. That rumor has now been quashed according to an Apple spokesperson who stated, "It's not going to happen anytime soon."

Apple has enhanced MobileMe when accessed on Mobile Safari browser by iPhone users. The app will offer direct links to things like calendars, contacts, and more. You can also access the Find My iPhone feature from any iPhone or iPod touch when your phone is lost. There are several other features as well.
