Christian Dior au Printemps

2012-11-11T23:06:00.002+01:00

This year Printemps Haussmann is celebrating the Holidays with eleven windows dedicated to the City of Lights, created by none other than legendary Parisian fashion house Christian Dior. In all 74 dolls were hand-crafted by the French fashion house's artisans for the windows, which will also showcase the latest DIOR haute couture, timepiece and fragrance collections. They are also launching a selection of worthy original items, including a snow globe, an advent calender and a pop-up Christmas storybook.

Hopefully I'll be updating this post after my visit in Paris next week!

Trollied Dolly

2012-07-31T14:22:00.002+02:00

Yesterday as I was on the bus, I couldn't ignore a lovely boutique called 'Allure' which had the most beautiful frocks on display...As soon as I noticed a gorgeous floral dress, which I knew I've seen before I just had to stop by but unfortunately being late for a meeting at work, I had to change my plan.. As I got home it struck me that the dress I saw was by the brand Trollied Dolly..an English brand specializing in vintage-inspired frocks.

As planned, today I went to the boutique and bought these lovely dresses :))

I highly recommend you to check out Allure Clothing page here

Strawberry Sweetness

2012-06-24T01:39:00.001+02:00

Hey Darlings! So today I've been to the pharmacist, and yes every time I'm there I just have to buy something..mostly useful stuff like for example this body scrub...

I hate having clogged pores in any part of my body so to prevent it, I use a body buffer daily, but when I saw this sugar scrub collection at my pharmacist I knew I had to buy one. As you might know I LOVE strawberries, anything with strawberries and I'm sold.

It's smells so sweet that it makes you want to eat the whole thing : p

Also, it leaves your skin soft and silky, I'm definitely buying it again!

Happy Weekend

Summer Lovin'

2012-06-15T20:42:00.003+02:00

Since we're having really lovely weather, I've decided to write this post on 'What's in my beach bag'...It might sound pretty random, but I'm so looking forward for Summer holidays to finally begin along with my lack of interest in tomorrow's exam that pretty much makes up the reason why I'm writing this...

Before I'd like to share one of my beach bags which I've purchased recently..

A classic straw bag by Cath Kidston..love how everything magically fits in this bag
10/10 : )

What's in my Beach Bag:

1.Sunglasses- They're always in my bag during summer, but at the beach it's a must have!

My sunglasses choice usually depends on which outfit I'm wearing.

2. Beach towel-Quite obvious no? : p

3.Mobile + headphones- I carry these everywhere, I just love sunbathing while listening to some good music and drinking beer :)

4. Hair Products + Accessories- It's essential to have a hair product handy to protect your hair from the sun, a beach hat is a great option too :)

5. Face Moisturiser and Lip protection- I do get really dry lips, especially in summer, and so a lip balm is always a must!

6. Sun protection lotions- If you hate getting sun burnt like I do, then you have to opt for these lotions!

Clarins sun wrinkle control cream- I love how this gives you a nice tan colour without over-doing it and, also without getting your face dry and sunburnt as it works as a moisturiser itself.

Cyclax sun protection lotion SPF45- The main reason why I really like this lotion is because it smells so heavenly (green tea & aloe vera) that it actually seems as you're wearing a normal body lotion. Also it's non-greasy which I love as I can't stand sticky lotions more than 2 minutes.

A wide toothed comb is essential when brushing wet hair, as it damages less.

Lisap Milano sun protection oil-This is one of my favourites, protects your hair against the sun leaving it shiny without looking oily. Just spray all over your hair especially at the ends were it tends to be more dry!

Clarins Natural lip Perfector- As I mentioned previously, I do get really dry lips in summer, but since I've started using this Clarins lip lotion, my lips got a lot better : )

Happy Weekend

Kérastase

2012-05-24T14:49:00.003+02:00

In the last few months I've been using a lot of different shampoos and treatments, as I like to change my hair products regularly...2 weeks ago, I went to a new hairdresser and recommended me to try Kérastase Resistance for dry damaged hair which is a new product from this line.

I've read a lot of reviews about Kérastase products and the majority of them said the same thing basically.

In my opinion I found that the treatment does it all! It's not that the shampoo has no effect, but the treatment really does make your hair look healthier in so many ways. After only 2 weeks I can already see a big difference in my hair, it looks hydrated and it doesn't break as much as it used to, and even the dead ends vanished! For someone who uses the hair straightener very often like I do, I would recommend this product, even though it's a bit pricey for the actual content, but in my opinion it's worth every penny as it's my favourite product so far!

Another thing that I would suggest when using the treatment is to use it for the ends and mid part of your hair only, as I first tried a bit on my fringe and scalp, and It got oily after 2 days, and as I usually have oily roots and dry ends, it's the best to use it only for the ends were the damage is more visible.

Heathcote & Ivory

2012-05-21T13:34:00.001+02:00

Today I've finally got a lovely Hands and Nails set from the Heathcote & Ivory Vintage Collection...This Brand consists of an endless variety of lovely English toiletries and gifts, which smells so heavenly, that I'm actually thinking about whether I should use them or leave them there to decorate my bathroom ; P

Here's the one I bought and it consists of:

-Mimosa & Pomegranate Hand Wash 50ml

-Mimosa & Pomegranate Hand Cream 50ml

-Mimosa & Pomegranate 2x Emery Boards

Now to be honest with you all the main reason of buying this kit, except for the over-adorable case, is that lately I've been having dry hands and nails due to over usage of Hand rubs..and one of the main ingredients in these products is Vitamin E which helps for healthier skin :)

Floral trousers

2012-05-14T12:00:00.000+02:00

It seems that this season we're having an overdose of floral prints, especially when it comes to trousers. For those who aren't really confident with this trend, one can pick up a colour from the trousers and style it up with a one-coloured top for a more subtle look..But for the adventurous ones you can theme up your floral trousers with another floral blouse to create a double printed outfit, although in my opinion this look can go either really great or really bad, it actually depends on how much the person wearing it can pull it off.

Here are some Street Style Outfits and some which I came up with :)

Style Icon: Ulyana Sergeenko

2012-04-28T00:16:00.000+02:00

I didn't know it was possible to love a designer as much as I love Ulyana Sergeenko..After seeing her collections, I instantly wanted everything in my closet, sadly I can't seem to find her peices online. Her retro and feminine style is perfect for the vintage enthusiast in all of us. Her floral designs are just gorgeous, I mean it's that perfect floral pattern I always look for.

Here are some of my favourite peices from her S/S 2012 collection:
