Hope you can help me with this one.

I installed the update from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2 and since then on startup it does not initialise the bluetooth mouse as before and I have to connect might mouse to manually do it, each time I shut down the machine.

Its an iMac 24" early 2008 edition, and mouse is Logitech v470 bluetooth.

I have run software update and there are no further updates, plus bluetooth firmware is up2date as well.

When I opened it with VLC it said, "VLC does not support the audio or video format "LAGS". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this." And it won't work in Quicktime either.
I can't seem to find anyway to play this on my Mac?

I own a white Mac Book and I use it for editing in FCP. Now I bought a WD Scorpio Black drive and I want to replace the stock drive, then I'll add more RAM.

Well, how Can I back up my system? I tried using Time Machine with my 1T external drive and it didn't work. I can't make a fresh install because I can't loose my FCP install, I have an Academic license (I'm a film student)
