I am using my 3TB Time Capsule to host all of my video files, most of which are MKV files. I also have an external hard drive connected to the USB port on Time Capsule and there are few video files on it as well.

I am using Time Capsule as a router sitting between the cable modem (WAN) and my locan network (LAN). I have an Argosy HV355T digital media player hooked up to my home theater and TV via HDMI. It is connected to Time Capsule via Ethernet.

On Argosy media player, I am able to connect to Time Capsule (login is successful) but I can neither see the hard drives nor their contents.

When I connect the external hard drive to the USB port on Argosy, the hard drive is recognized and files from it can be read and played. Thus I have ruled out the possibility of Argosy not being able to read Mac formatted hard drives.

I tried to use uPnP on Argosy to connect as uPnP client to Time Capsule, but nothing happens. I thought uPnP is turned ON by default on Time Capsule.

Why am I not able to see the Time Capsule hard drive from my media player?
What am I missing in my setup?
Do I need to install a media server device to read files from hard drives and storage, and stream to media player (Argosy)?
How are you folks using Time Capsule to play video from its hard drive on to your TV?

So on Fathers day I worked on it for the entire afternoon, 4 hours I had an ATT tech working along side. My Dad CoreDuo 20" only stays connected for 5-10 seconds and then stops. If I unplug the network cable and reinsert it, I get another 5-10 seconds of the internet. This is via ATT uverse, and a wifi signal is present and allows seemless internet connections, as checked with an ipad. it is repeatable...just unplug and replug the cat5 cable and I always get a few seconds of internet traffic, usually just enough for 1 or 2 pages to load.

It has WPA2 encryption (password) that works ok on OSX but the problem is Windows XP in wifi mode, what's happening??
I tried to change to WPA, WPA2, OPEN, etc on network preferences (windows side) but I got the same problem. How can I get ride of the red cross over the wifi network icon?? The strangest is that I can see the Atheros network icon OK in "DEVICE MANAGER" windows. So there seems to be problem with the wireless device in my macbook pro, or some configurations that needs to be done.

Both seem to be working fine with their green lights on and the MB I'm using AU on is connecting to the internet fine through the TC wi-fi and can access the HDs connected to my TC no problem.

First time I've seen this happen but I did just update the TC software prior to trying AU.

Any ideas?

At the present I am using TeamViewer but the problem is that if I by mistake turn off TeamViewer on the local machine, there is no way I can launch it again from remote.

Soooooo, since a lot of that is stuff we will both want to access, ideally I would have a hard drive accessible at all times to both comps via wifi, but not only that, we would want the files in both our libraries simultaneously.

Does anyone have a setup like this? The only way I know how to set this up right now is to use a 3rd comp and share the library over the wifi.

However, the way the engineer has connected it up means that the BT modem is connected to their Home Hub which in turn connects to my AEBS.

I've turned the Home Hub wireless off so the only signal is from my AEBS. However, when I open Airport Utility, my AEBS cannot be found as it is says it's not configured.

I've connected the AEBS direct to the modem and then wired it to my iMac, but still can't access it via AU. It'll only work when wired through the Home Hub.

Has anyone set up their AEBS with the BT Infinity modem and could point me in the right direction to get it to work? I just received an email from iCloud telling me that I have exceeded my iCloud storage, including "an additional amount provided to allow you to continue receiving email".

It tells me to free up storage in my account by using settings on my iOS device.

I hopped over to my iPad, where I found the following:

My photostream is empty because I only use it to make sure I have a copy to import to my Mac, but I remove everything from my photo stream daily.

So as far as I can see, I'm using at most 200 MB of the 5 GB allowance. Anyone have any idea why I've received this email? Is there a separate limit on mail that I'm not aware of?

I just want to see what people's thoughts are before I even consider contacting Apple about this.

I have an issue with how my Mac is showing up on my router. My mac is showing up as Ake I & II in my router. At first I thought maybe my mac got compromised so I reloaded my system last night including erasing the drive. It is still showing up as the same thing. I have gone into network>advanced>wins and the netbios name is showing something else and I even tried to change that and save it. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
