When I clicked on the SD icon on the desktop, it showed the images had transferred. However, when I inserted the SD card back into my Nikon AW100 camera, the images were not indicated on the card... Do I need to use a card reader inserted in to a USB drive? If so, that seems unnecessarily redundant for such a sophisticated computer such as this. I've found out that's because my OS is 10.5.8 and the newest Skype won't run on this. I've downloaded the older version of Skype from several different sources but still no good. I finally gave up on Skype and went to gmail where you can download a plugin called Hangout and video chat that way. Hangout tells me in system requirements that it should work but I get a message saying Hangouts doesn't support video calls on this version of Mac OS. Is there any way to video chat with my friend who has a newer Mac besides Skype? I don't have an iPhone because can't afford the extra monthly billing for internet connec. Just getting along with my iMac. I can see that I am not the only one with this problem when I google, but so far, none of what others have tried has helped me.

my wife was trying to share a photo on her Facebook with her MBP when she selected facebook share in iPhoto my account info came up for facebook and she wasn't able to share, She downloaded the pics directly from her camera to her MBP. she is running OS x 10.8.3 and iPhoto 11, everything was installed on her MBP with her account info.

I then import the photos to iPhoto. Once in iPhoto, I delete the desktop folder with all the images.

Here's the rub: once I delete the folder on my desktop, the images I just imported show in iPhoto, but will not open "cannot find file". The only way I can do anything with these photos in iPhoto is if Ieave the images in the folder.
