My sister and I went to The Russian Tea Room this weekend for High Tea. It was quite the treat! The restaurant is amazing! Really really beautifully decorated.

Our tea came with little tea sandwiches, caviar (swanky, I know!), scones, truffles and mini cupcakes. We felt really regal.

Hello dear readers. Happy Wednesday! I bought this skirt recently from Ann Taylor LOFT but UH it was SUCH a to-do. I first saw it in the store, but they didn't have my size. So that night I went home and tried to buy it online when I realized that it was sold out! And the second I saw that, I HAD to have it. I don't know why but every time this happens I go to extraordinary measures to find the item. So I searched online and found that a few stores in New Jersey had the skirt. I called around to a few stores and found one! YAY! It was a lot of effort. And it was a lot of effort to type out this whole story for you. So I hope you enjoyed it.

apple picking!

So last weekend, my bestie Ava and I decided it was necessary to get out of the city. So we dragged her boyfriend Luis out to Yorktown Heights in New York to go apple picking! Coming from Florida where there is NO fall, we though it necessary in becoming native New Yorkers. So we drove out to an apple farm and joined the other 5-year-olds for some apple picking.

It was pretty great, but after the first apple, I felt like I had gained enough apple picking experience for one lifetime. It was nice to just get out of the city, eat some apple cider donuts and see the changing leaves.

P.S. isn't Ava's hat fab? Ha. If only it were June! That's why I love her.

So the only time I have these days to take outfit photos are at the end of the day AFTER I've been running around like a mad woman. Hence why I've been looking.. hm shall we say... rugged?

Anyway... my mom flew up to stay with my grandparents in New Jersey this weekend. She came into the city on Saturday so my mom, my sister and I lunched and shopped at Bloomies where I picked up a new winter coat and this new bag. I'm so in love with the style and shape. It's perfect for work to carry a computer or folders. I really am not a Burberry fan AT ALL, so I was SHOCKED when I saw this style. It doesn't look like their normal style to me. Both my mom and sister bought the same one! My mom also bought me these booties from Steve Madden that I am now in love with. Quite the successful weekend!

Welcome back to me! -- Again. Yea, sorry. Anyway! To be honest, I haven't felt much like taking outfit photos recently. There has just been too much going on, and, honestly, I've been running so many errands that I haven't worn anything blog-worthy. Now that I'm about half settled, I was feeling the itch to start taking outfit photos.

Life in the big cit-ay has been WAY too much fun. I've loved every second of it. I'm lucky to know so many people who are living here so adjusting hasn't been too hard! I recently started an internship at a really exciting company. I don't want to get too much into it on my blog because I believe in the separation between work and play :) But I've been working for about a week and I love it! It's very glamorous... are you curious???

In a previous post, I posted the photo of the lit dresses hanging from the tree. I didn't know the artist until the lovely Kelsea from Let's Be Threads e-mailed me. THANKS GIRL! Because without Kelsea I would never have known that this AMAZING artist Rune Guneriussen exists.

I think Guneriussen's photos are inspiring and eerily creepy. I'm completely in love with the one with the globes. I don't know what it is about globes, but I think seeing the whole world so small is one of the coolest things. What do you think?

Things I am craving this month:

1. Spine Duster ring from www.verameat.com. Does this give anyone else the creeps? I LOVE it! It's just the perfect amount of creepy, weirdness and glam-rock. NEED.

2. I'm on the prowl for a black wooden wedge. These are fitting the bill perfectly. I love the detail on the back of the heel, and the leather looks buttery. Get them at http://www.shophallelu.com/shop/index.php.

3. I pretty much need every, single thing that JCrew has to offer right now, but in specific, I'm looking for some light jackets that aren't really jackets. Lighter than a jacket but heavier than a cardigan. If you've come across anything good lately- send me a link!

4. These Aldo wedges are ahhhmazing. I Love the lace-up detail and the light traction on the bottom. They look so comfortable and stylish. I might have to buy these tomorrow soon. Le sigh.

5. I have no idea if a cape is actually useful, but I need one. I need this one from Zara in specific. Isn't it so chic and '50s? BUY.

I know you all are dying to see my New York photos, and the are coming, but I really want to upload photos from my trip over the summer to London and Montpellier. The trip was a semi-disaster because our flight from Montpellier back to London was cancelled due to a strike (yea what's new) in France. So unfortunately our time in London was cute short, and we were only there for a day. I guess that means I'll have to go back.

On our one day there, we made it to Windsor Castle, which was exciting, and Eton. I felt so regal walking around the Queen's grounds. We did get to eat a lot in London. We went to traditional Indian, amazing, and got cupcakes from Hummingbird Bakery, delish. I really loved our trip, I just wish we had had more time because I love London!

These streets will make you feel brand new.

This is my favorite photo at the moment. I love that the model is sitting in le jardin with normal people living their lives. I wish people walked around wearing amazing dresses like this without getting harassed. Such a beautiful photos that makes me crave Paris.

Earlier this summer, before heading over to London and Montpeillier (photos coming soon I promise!), my parents and I stopped in New York and New Jersey for the day. We were only there for a day so we made the rounds to all of my grandparent's houses. It was a LONG day- if you're wondering why I look so crazy and flustered.

I really love older people in general. They're crazy people with fascinating stories. And that includes my grandparents. I feel like there's so much to learn from people who have lived longer than yourself. And as crazy as they are, you can't do a thing about it. You just have to accept them for who they are, who they've always been, laugh and think how lucky you are to have them.

Recently, my dad bought a scanner and started to scan pictures of my being adorable (oh and my other sisters...). So I copied the files from his computer and decided to post some cute baby photos of yours truly :) I know, I know... I was so so adorable as a child. I love the photo of my mom cutting my bangs. I feel this is the story of my life as I am always cutting my own bangs.

Sooooo obviously it took me a while to get these last few photos up of the Wizarding World. But- I have a good excuse! Within the past few weeks I finished up my internship that I had been at since January, I moved out of my college apartment and town and brought everything back home for the moment while I found an apartment in New York City where I will be moving in the near future aka the next week. Yea. So blogging has been slightly neglected. I have tons of fun photos to post soon though so don't stop reading lovely followers!

The shops of the Wizarding World. Islands of Adventure must be making BANK off of the Harry fans. They have hundreds of things to buy. I mean endless amounts of stuff. And while you're there, you feel like you need it all. It's quite tempting. But while you know you're being ripped off, it's SO worth it. They have everything from the movie and it makes the whole experience seem so real.

So here I am with Hedwig, I think I really need an owl to send things for me and, ya know, run errands in general. And I was so tempted to buy Voldemort's ward just so I can run around and say "Aveda Kadvra!" to my sister Rebecca.

duh. duh-duh-duh DUH DUH duhhhh. Could you tell that was the music from the movies? Yes dear readers, the time has come. I finally have photos (thanks to the lovely Lauren) from my adventures in the Wizarding World. It was amazing, mystical and above all, magical. I loved every second I spent there and if you live in Florida- GO! It's worth it.

They had EVERYTHING from the movie. Zonko's, Honeydukes, Butterbeer, chocolate frogs, Olivanders. Everythingggg. Lauren and I spent the whole time we were in Islands of Adventure just in the Wizarding World. There really is that much to see. And there's a new ride that is AHmazing. Even though I did get kind of sick from the 3D.

Yea.... I have no words for this. It was ridiculous and ridiculously good. And this is why I love America.

Voila!!! My first self-taken photos. Yea so they're kind of a disaster but I'm getting there. Now I just need some real equipment to make things a little easier. Anyone have any tips about taking self photos? It's harder then it looks! I bought this dress recently and fell in love with it in the store. The only thing is that I feel like I'm in Little House on the Prairie. What do you think? I wore the dress to dinner at Tapas and Tinis with my friend Lauren and her friend from home Claire. Some more photos from our weekend in Sarasota. Lauren, Liz and I went to St. Armands to walk around, window shop and eat macaroons. We had a mini photo shoot in the middle of the sidewalk- I loved it, and so did everyone watching us wondering what these three losers were doing. Ah yes well- such is the life of a blogger. It was SO hot. I can still remember what it felt when the sweat was running down my legs (oh right. because that STILL happens EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE! darn you Florida...)

Recently, the oh-so-lovely Kayla from Ramblings of a Small Town Girl left me this award for my blog! I'm so honored- thanks Kayla! Be sure to check out her blog- it's awesome! So I guess the idea is to leave 7 interesting facts about myself...

1. I love my cat Kitty. She was a stray on the verge of death and now she's the sweetest cat ever.

2. I'm dying to go to Asia and am obsessed with all things Asian. Weird I know. I would love to go to Japan, Thailand, India and South Korea.

3. I'm moving to New York City in the fall and I'm going to live with my sister Meghan. I'm so sooo excited!

4. My favorite book is Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk

5. I've been studying French since the 6th grade. I studied abroad last spring and I LOVE everything French (um DUH). I would love to live in Paris for a few years.

6. I've considered going to therapy for my shopping addiction. I have WAY too much stuff but I can't stop! I'm also a semi-hoarder (not the kind that hoards trash- I just hoard shoes).

7. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are my style icons and I would die to raid their closets and jewelry boxes.

While I was home, I made a trip to the beach. Siesta Key beach is the most beautiful beach in the world. It's so pretty and has the best and whitest sand I've ever seen. I don't go to the beach too often because its SO HOT. But whenever I do go, I always say I'm going to go more. Isn't it so nice?
