The only constant in this world is changed. True! High school and college life well I don't have any interest in makeups.. Pressed powder with tint and I'm ok with it... Kapag may special occassions I have to ask pa who know how to do the makeup thing. Now i don't know pero im super fond and inlove na and I'm starting to learn how to put makeup on by reading blogs and watching vlogs which I find it interesting and useful! I'm not a pro pero I can do it na on my own kahit simple lang...

I am an online shopper and I bought this Victoria Secret Super Model Makeup Kit (15 must-haves for eyes, lips and face). Practical kasi reasonable naman ang price coz it comes with a perfume. Bongga na!

Inspirational Poem! Hello 2013!

2013-01-02T11:02:00.002-08:00

Time of Your Life

Do you reflect upon the years gone by
as you prepare for yet one more,
with promises and resolutions
that you have made before?

Do memories of people and places
once as sharp as any knife
now blend in bits and pieces
in a kaleidoscope of life?

Do you squander precious minutes
seeking reasons why you're here,
contemplating your life's purpose
year after passing year?

Persuade yourself to understand,
it matters not the reason.
Your purpose is to seize the life
in every passing season!

Learn to see things differently.
Let your thoughts and actions change.
Allow your views of past and present
to slowly rearrange.

Let your spirit start anew;
become focused and aware
of the moments and the blessings
that surround you everywhere!

Do not permit past memories:
the where…the who…the how
to become more important
than the ones you’re making now.

Live life in person;
inhabit every day.
You may not like where you are now,
but you’re there anyway!

A lifetime is a puzzle,
every failure, each success
adds another jagged piece
to fit together with the rest.

To finish the picture
and view the masterpiece whole,
fill the time of your life
with your heart and your soul.

Acquaint yourself with your feelings
and heighten your senses.
Experience living.
Put down your defenses.

You don't have to know why
you are you, and I’m me.
Believe it is what it is
and it’s how it should be.

You did not choose your date of birth,
nor do you know your last,
so live this gift that is your present,
before it becomes your past.

10 Days to go.... Fud3ps atbp!!! Suppahduppah kakamiss!!!

I want to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to my Mom. I dedicate this song for you on this very special day. Happy Mother’s Days Mama:) XoXo

We cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done. Thank you for your unconditional love for us. Malayo man ako sa piling nyong lahat always remember na mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat. You’re always be my no. 1 idol and the QUEEN of my heart. We are so blessed for having you as our mother. I love you so much Momsky! Supadupah miss ko na kayong lahat! See yah on May 30.

Mabuhay kayong lahat!:)

Happy Mother's Day Mom:)

#3 May 14, 2011 – Pulilan Carabao Festival – Pulilan, Bulacan

Link Source: (http://www.bulacan.gov.ph/tourism/touristspot.php?id=81)

“Hundreds of work animals, mostly carabaos, are led on a parade in the streets of the town every 14th and 15th of May to honor its patron saint. San Isidro Labrador. The carabaos decorated with garland and shaved for the occasion, genuflect or kneel in front of the church. Witness the colorful Carabao Festival and religious activities of the town. On the 14th of May, farmers all over the town pay tribute to their patron saint. San Isidro Labrador, in glorious thanksgiving for a year-long bountiful harvest. The celebration is manifested by hanging all sorts of fruits, candies, food crops and multi-colored kipings on bamboo poles. The affairs is highlighted by kneeling of carabaos in front of the church and the symbolic floats. Every year, a sea of frolicking humanity comes in droves to witness this showcasing inate talents of the carabaos.”

#4 May 15, 2011 – Pahiyas Festival – Tayabas Quezon

Link Source: (http://www.lakbaypilipinas.com/pahiyas_festival.html)

Pahiyas is the harvest festival and is observed in the towns of Lucban, Candelaria, Tayabas, Sariaya, Tiaong and Lucena City in honor of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers. Considered one the Philippines’ biggest harvest festivals, it is deeply rooted in the traditional celebration of thanksgiving for bountiful harvests.

#5 May 17 – 19, 2011 – Obando Fertility Rites – Obando Bulacan

The Catholicism you find in the Philippines has a considerable pinch of older animist and pagan beliefs which inform rituals and traditions. The Obando Fertility Rites are no exception, and involve childless couples dancing an ancient folk dance to encourage reproduction. “Fertility Dance”
The streets fill with couples hoping for children, who dance in an enormous procession, pushing before them wooden carts filled with images of the particular saint to whom they are appealing. The parade finally comes to rest at the steps of the church, into which the frenzied dancers continue their jamboree up the aisle.
Those to whom the pre-Catholic rituals were directed have simply been replaced by Catholic saints. So, if you want a wife, you dance to San Pascual Baylon. Conversely, if you want a husband, then you dance to Santa Clara de Assisi. Finally, if you want a child you dance to the Virgen de Salambao.
According to experts the dance must be performed with gyrating hips in time to the music and with belief. Many of town's people join in the dance although they may have no particular petition. One can observe the numerous childless couples, thankful parents, grateful farmers and fishermen dance along the streets together with colorfully customed women to pray for children and a good harvest. The population growth attests to the effectiveness of the right movements.

Happy Easter 2011!!!

2011-04-23T09:03:00.000-07:00

Easter signifies the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ who take away all our sins in this world. He was crucified, died and was burried and on the 3rd day he rose again. His unconditional love for us never fails.

Last year we celebrated Easter Sunday by simply going to church offering prayers to God and made some colorful Easter Eggs. As they say egg simbolizes new life.

Creative Easter Eggs we made last year 2010 (with mamang and ading)

In celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, people in other parts of the World commemorate with their own effortless yet creative ways.

It doesn't matter how prudent and extravagant it will be. What really matters most is to be with the entire family giving thanks to the Lord for all the blessings he always provide. No matter how sinful we are He is always there ready to forgive.

I am just wondering if MomC will make some cutie and colorful eggs this 2011 Easter. (*wink*)

Happy Easter to my family and to everyone!!!

1st Friday Mass for the Month of March

2011-03-08T09:22:00.000-08:00

Matthew 7:21-27

²¹ “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. ²² Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ ²³ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

²⁴ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. ²⁶ But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. ²⁷ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

It’s kinda hectic schedule I had for the past few days. I missed blogging. Sorry naman at late ang posting ng homily ni Father Tom last Friday March 4, 2011. Father’s message is that we don’t have to wear mask para lang masabi na we are good in the eyes of others. God knows what’s inside our heart and mind. We don’t need to pretend para lang maging mabuti sa ibang tao. Father Tom said ang mahalaga ay magpatawad at magpakatotoo sa sarili at kung ano man ang pangkakamali na mga deeds ay dapat baguhin.

Action speaks louder than words ika nga. Hindi mahalaga ang mga sinasabi ng dila kung di naman ito ayon sa nasa loob at gawa.

Today’s Gospel by Father Tom of St. Mary Parish Dubai,UAE

2011-02-25T14:08:00.000-08:00

Today is Friday 25^th of February 2011. This is the only time that I can commit myself to God and listen to HIS words. It’s been weeks that I’m not attending the mass. May the Lord forgive me if sometimes I fail to offer my time to HIM.

I’ll take this opportunity also to pray for all my Kabayans as we are celebrating the Silver Anniversary (25 Years) of Edsa People Power Revolution, these were the times that all Filipino offered prayers and unite as one that lead us to our Indepence from a dictator governance. Our gratitude and honor from Aquino’s clan most specially to the late former President Corazon Aquino the mother of our incumbent President Benigno Noynoy Aquino Jr. (P-NOY) one of the highest respected person I really admire.

President Corazon Aquino

P-NOY

Now let me share todays’ Gospel from the book of Matthew 6:24-34

²⁴ “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

²⁵ “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ²⁶ Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? ²⁷ Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life^[a]? ²⁸ “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. ²⁹ Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. ³⁰ If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? ³¹ So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ³² For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. ³³ But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ³⁴ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Father Tom’s preached was really inspirational. To sum up homily he mentioned one fruitful quote that trully relates to most of us which I also personally believe...

“Yesterday is a history… Tomorrow is a mystery... Today is a gift that’s why it is called the present.”

Furthermore he advised us to not be worried about tomorrow. Let us live for today. Let tomorrow worries tomorrow. Let’s not be anxious and not forget to trust the Love of God. Don’t be fret about our lives, foods, clothes, spouse/relationship, job; instead Father Tom said God is our provider. He set an example for the birds. "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" What we see when we look at the birds is not a lesson in laziness. They dig their worms and snatch their bugs and pad their nests with strings and leaves. But Jesus says it is God that feeds them. What we see when we look at the birds is a creature who does not act as though God is only a merciful provider for today but won't be tomorrow. Birds don't anxiously horde things for the day of God's demise. They go about their work as though when the sun comes up tomorrow God will still be God.

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let’s handover our life’s situation to His majestic power and give our confidence that he will not forsake us but provide is with peace, joy and genuine love.

After the mass we went home and had our food afterwards we headed our next weekend adventure… destination??? to Global Village. It’s kinda peculiar or if I may say a contiunation of today’s homily coz’ there was one Africa presentation in GV which is about “no worries” as they popularly sang it as Hakuna Matata meaning no worries/ no problem, mafi mushkil, mushkil nai or in tagalog walang problema. This was a famous song in the Movie Lion King one of the popular animated motion picture of Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Can’t wait to post my blog about our Global Village escapade…Till next blogging!!!

Happiness holds the key to lead a successful life. However, with busy schedules and the need to get to the top of the ladder, this basic element of life has lost its meaning. Today, it is much easier to find a frowning face than a smiling one. Most of you would agree that it feels good when you see someone smiling, while watching someone grimacing acts as dampener on your spirit as well. Do you want to know the secret of staying happy all the time? Happiness means different things to different people. You first need to figure out what happiness means to you and then, you can work out steps to seek the joy and bliss for yourself. If you want to get some more tips on being happy in life, go through the lines below.

To be happy, you first need to find what is important in your life. There are certain things which take a prime concern in your life, like values, family, friends, music and your hobby, and bring a smile to your face. You need to realize what holds the key to your happiness.
Recollect old times, when you were very happy. Think of what made you happy - was it the place you were in or the person you were with. What was the particular thinking or feeling that made you feel happy? Be with the person or visit the place again and experience the same emotions.

Make happiness your priority in life. You need to take time out of your busy schedules to do things which are important to you and make you feel elated. If you love ice creams, indulge in having one. If you were once a movie buff, it is the time to catch up with old pals on a movie date.
Start small and then, work your way ahead. It might not be possible to immediately start doing everything that makes you happy. Take 15 minutes off from the routine life and do things that make you smile, like going for a walk, talking to friends, reading a book, etc.
Be optimistic in life and shoo away any negativity. Think positive things about yourself, your partner and life in general. In no time, you would realize that you are feeling happy all the time. If pessimistic thoughts creep easily into your mind, maintain a diary where you write all the good things. Read it often. It would help you get rid of the pessimism.
It is often noted that people who are of the complaining sorts are mostly unhappy. They criticize and grumble about everything which happens in life and fail to see what good things they have in life. Be appreciative of the main aspects of life, such as health, job, love life, friends, family, money, etc.
Lastly, smile always. It's easier to put up a smile on your face than to have a frown on. By smiling yourself, you can make others happy as well. Make it a habit and soon, you will see the people around you smiling as well.

I recovered this from my xanga blog since 2008. Amidst my ups and downs, high and low... still there's always a reason to smile. My Filipino-Chinese cousin Michelle Tan influenced me to create my own profile in Xanga during my times in Hongkong but its been ages not checking and updating my blog. I just want to share this old blog to inspire all my friends and readers. Now I'm a regular blogger @ http://www.itssimplymacey.com/

Long Weekend Getaway

2011-02-18T10:04:00.000-08:00

Road trip on Thursday, 17^th February 2011. Yeah U heard it right today is a public holiday for us… good thing that govt. moved the date of the commemoration of Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday instead of 15^th. This is our chance to explore and enjoy our journey.

Me & my housemates decided to go for a trip to Abudhabi. First time of Ate Sol to see the sights in Abudhabi…She’s working for almost 3 years in UAEbut never been in this place. Well I’m so excited as well even though I had lived and worked for 1 year and 3 months. For me this is some kind of a travel getaway I will treasure and a memory to keep in my online journal.

From Dubai (getting ready…) 1:30 P.M

Arte naman boo need muna pic before lumarga:))

Destinations….

ALDAR HQ - The world's first circular skyscraper - Abu Dhabi

AL RAHA MALL

Sheikh Zayed Mosque – the largest mosque in the country and the eight largest in the world. It was named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and the President of the United Arab Emirates and who is also buried next to the mosque. (The tomb of the Highness is not allowed to take photos)

Thanks naman to Ate Sol she brought her SLR & Tripod:)

I was so amazed with the structure of the mosque even from a far… I appreciate it more when I was really there. There are lots of people entering even European, Chinese were there to visit and walk around. But before you enter the exciting part was the wearing of their Cultural cloth which is the Abaya. (black long dress)

Bagay ba???

We are feeling hungry so we dropped by at Marina Mall to have dinner in IKEA. It’s good to eat here if you’re on a diet in terms of weight coz they serve pasta and of course a diet to your budget. J JJ

After our cheap yet satisfying dinner we stayed and take a walk to see the nice and beautiful view of Abudhabi Corniche. We bought Saj and Krispy Kreme (yum yum yum!)

can't open... need some help!!!

Kuya Landz to the rescue...hehehe:)

Let's start..:)

It’s getting late…. Let’s go to the next and last destination….

Ferrari World

It was fun and joyful ride! We reached home at 12 midnight.

So long for now… till my next travel blog. (xoxo)

"Lovapalooza"

2011-02-13T08:53:00.000-08:00

"Love is in the Air!" Famous tagline for couples/lovers during the Love Month. Before anything else Happy Valentine's Days to all. And since today is VDAY let me share some highlights in the Philippines which is popularly known as "Lovapalooza". Below is the info I got from Wikipinas website, I took the data to share to each and everyone.

Lovapalooza is a traditional Filipino Valentine's Day celebration that first bid to claim the Guiness World Record for the Most Number of Simultaneously Kissing Couples for 10 seconds in 2004. Couples from all over the country with ages 18 and up are gathered together for the biggest and most romantic kissfest in the Philippines. The event is also a promotional venue for Unilever Philippines' new CloseUp Toothpaste products.

In 2004, the Philippines attempted to break the previous mass-kissing record of 4,445 couples in Chile. A total of 5,347 pairs crowded Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard in Manila on the eve of Valentine's Day. A year after the world record breaking event, the second Lovapalooza was held. The event encouraged wider participation of the four major cities including Manila, Angeles, Cebu, and Davao. However, it was also during this year when Hungary took the record of 5,875 couples kissing at the Elisabeth Bridge in Budapest on June 25, 2005.

The 11th of February 2006 marked another simultaneous kissfest, dubbed “Lovapalooza 3”. Aside from the traditional midnight kisses, the event was also highlighted with several performances of popular Philippine bands and celebrities, plus the 16 real couples who professed their love to their respective partners on national television. Parties held at Roxas Boulevard Baywalk in Manila, Bayanihan Park Mac Arthur Highway in Angeles, FGU Business Park Ayala in Cebu, and Matina Town Square in Davao was covered simultaneously by ABS-CBN. Unfortunately, the number of attendees still fell short of breaking the previous record of Hungary.

In 2007, the simultaneous 10-second kissing of 6,124 couples in the north open lot of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay reclaimed the Guiness Book of World Record title for the Philippines.

The 2008 kissfest, dubbed “Lovapalooza Frost Fest”, offered to give away diamond-studded Crystal Frost necklaces to 100 winning couples. Aside from this, the couples would be able to attend the exclusive CloseUP Lovapalooza Frost Fest party.

Controversy

As Filipinos become accustomed with this pre-valentine event, Auxillary Bishop of Manila Teodoro Bacani was unimpressed. He publicly denounced the notion of expressing love between couples through Lovapalooza. He insisted that Lovapalooza should not be encouraged because the couples' supposedly intimate show of affection has become trivialized for the mere reason of beating a world record and seeing themselves on television.

Do's & Dont's in UAE

2011-02-12T04:24:00.000-08:00

T.G.I.F.!!! Time moves so fast… One day off is over… Got up at 12 noon… had hot & spicy pancit canton with egg as my brunch. After cleaning the washroom we watched our all time fave teleserye show “Mara Clara” and “Imortal”. It’s 8:14 PM my time to spend writing on my blog.

Sissy Jen and our conversation in FB comments...:)

I was inspired by my friend Jen to write this topic on my blogspot. I was looking at her new shared photos on FB. Personally I love her outfit and I find it very sexy and attractive but the first thing that popped out of my mind was… “Are these kind of outfit allowed to wear in the office?” Then I drop down a comment on her FB pic. Here is our conversation goes:

Misaki Chan tekti mo sissy...:)

Jen Navayra thanks sissy... every Friday kasi we can wear anything. nag-uulan din kasi dito kaya ganyan lang sinuot ko...

Misaki Chan love it... nice outfit! dito di pede yan:)) at least jan carry lang...

Jen Navayra speaking of hindi pwede... i-blog mo nga sis next time yun topic about dont's in Dubai... curious lang ako... may nabasa na ako sa blog ni Giselle Sanchez but of course that was her own experience (yong tipong people like me should know since hindi pa naman ako naka-punta ng Dubai).

Misaki Chan i'll do that sis nice topic... thanks sa suggestion... mwaah!

Jen Navayra no worries sissy... it just popped up out of my mind... good luck on your next blog.

Well Sissy now your curiosity will be answered. I hope this helps.

FYI gals and pals… there are 7 emirates in the UAE w/c are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. Abu Dhabi is the capital of UAE. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the most well-known emirates because these are open cities compared to other emirates. Despite its modernity, Dubai still strictly follows Islamic laws and traditions which should be respected by all travelers.

If you have plans visiting UAE even any other countries, it is always wise to know the Do’s and Don’ts. Here are some tips I got this source from DWTC.

Do’s:

· Make sure you have a valid passport and a visa to enter any emirate of UAE. You should have Xerox copies of your passport, visa & other important travel documents, keeping them separate from the originals.

· Leave a copy of your itinerary with family or friends at home so that you can be contacted in case of emergency. Also keep a list of UAE emergency phone numbers always with you.

· There are no major health concerns or specific vaccinations required to UAE. However, you are advised to check the current health warnings prior to your departure.

· Change your money only from authorized moneychangers or banks in Dubai. As there are no currency restrictions in the UAE, all major world currencies can be exchanged, with several internationally renowned bank and hotels.

· Always drink bottled water that is easily available everywhere in UAE. Tap water is desalinated and safe for drinking, but drinking bottled mineral water is advisable.

· Taking of photographs can be sensitive; ask permission and avoid areas (airport, military cams, official buildings etc.)

· Respect local cultures and traditions of UAE, and never to make a mockery of local traditions. Avoid commenting on dress of the local people.

· Indulge in some haggling while buying goods without price tags whenever you go shopping in UAE.

· Use sunglasses and sun cream, as sunburn is common in UAE and heat sometimes can be unbearable.

· Always be careful of the belongings you carry with you during your holiday.

Don’ts:

· Don’t eat in public during Ramadan. During Ramadan all Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, and eating, drinking and smoking in public areas during daylight hours should be avoided.

· Don’t carry any drugs in the UAE. It may invite/cause a death penalty.

· UAE is an Islamic country and so avoid tight and exposing clothing. Women should particularly wear modest clothes. Women should dress sensibly and avoid wearing revealing outfits when in busy areas like going to some districts in Dubai (Karama, Deira and Bur Dubai) where the streets are packed with men especially on evenings and weekends. Swimsuits and bikini’s are a common sight on Dubai beaches, avoid sunbathing topless or wearing micro bikinis even in the private beach of a hotel.

NOTE: Women are not allowed to swear swimwear on public beaches in Sharjah.

· Avoid photographing Muslim women and do not photograph airports, docks, telecommunications equipment, Government buildings, and military and industrial installations.

· Don’t behave in a manner that might insult Muslim customs or beliefs. Don’t swear as you can get fined and sent to jail.

· Don’t use your left hand while greeting or handling over things to people.

· Don’t bring alcohol or pornography to the UAE. Videos and books are often checked and maybe retained by customs officials.

· Don’t participate in local demonstrations.

Being an expat in the Dubai UAE, I can still consider that I am fortunate because compared to other GCC countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar these countries are more than strict. Women are not allowed to wear ordinary clothes showing their skins. They have to wear traditional clothes for women called “Abaya”

Sissy Jen I hope one day you can also come and explore UAE and it’s my ultimate dream to visit you there as well so we could bond and spend time together. You know naman we love to travel anywhere. (pag-iipunan..:) kung gusto may paraan right?)

Oooppss!!! I’m done bye for now wait for my upcoming posts “more about Dubai tourist destinations. (hik … hik… hik…) I’m a bit sleepy coz’ while blogging Ate Sol shared a drink of Bacardi Breezer, Tropical Watermelon flavor.:)) Cheers!!!

Sponsored by Ate Sol.. Thanks!!! Rapsa Swakto ang lasa!:)

Who Am I

by Casting Crowns

Right at this very moment.. I am listening to this wonderful song one of my faves worship song... In the end Lord is the only one who can truly feel, hear, know and understand us no matter what... Everybody can turn their back on you but God is always there... whether we r in a brighter or darker side of life, no matter how many times we fail HIM... his undying and unconditional love remains.

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
Cause I am yours..
I am yours..

Sa totoo lang.....

I don't even know how to start.... I am so thankful to those who always there for me near or far... :( I want to shout out and Cry Out Loud!!!!! Pede ba yun????

My gratitude to my friend and colleauge Nani who influenced me to have my own blog. Nung una parang feeling ko nakakatamad at baka walang time to post what I want. Pero once you're in parang kulang na ang araw pag di nakapag post. Since I started writing... it really feels good kasi I am able to express my feelings, stories etc... Kesahodang di muna magpalit ng damit para lang makapagsulat at makapagedit ng blog... My blog is my outlet pag masaya or malungkot... Mas okay naman sana kung masaya at inspiring palagi ang sinusulat but life is not perfect. There are ups and downs... not all the time eh masaya ka.

I was in the office working I think malapit ng mag-uwian yun eh, then naisip kong magbasa ng email ko... at bumulaga na lang ang mga words na di katanggap tanggap na di naman ko deserve na matanggap. I don't understand why those kind of people exists.... Di muna nila alamin kung your guilty or not... Well maybe dun sila masaya... I think I should leave these things to God... He knows the truth and sana marealize ng mga taong involve at ayusin ang dapat nilang ayusin at the end of the day blood is thicker than water ika nga nila...

Somehow mejo narerelease na ang bigat in my heart... Thanks to Nani, Mheck mejo Ok na ako.... at syempre thanks itssimplymacey blog....

2011-02-03T10:47:00.000-08:00

You might be thinking why I posted this blog about Chinese New Year. I have too much fondness in Chinese Beliefs, Cultures/Traditions and Foods. It's a privileged being close to Chinese people who had played a big role and influenced a great impact to my life. Looking back in the year 2002 I worked as an English Stay-in Tutor with 3 kids named Chan Miu-miu (Julie), Chan Yen-yen(Kitty) & Chan Tong-tong (Amy). They had been a good and clever students, so loving and sweet children in fact they had treated me as their own elder sister. They used to call me Missy. I wouldn't have the opportunity to experience the field of teaching without the help of my relatives in Hong Kong to Auntie Maya and Uncle Joel, to my grandparents who raised us in the absence of our parents, and of course Ate Helen who referred me to Mr. and Mrs. Hong my previous employer in China. My stint stay in China was fruitful and wonderful experience. My gratitude and thanks to their kindness and I am hoping to meet them all again. Unfortunately my pics were in the Philippines.

Tikoy

Let's jump to my main topic. February 3, 2011 is the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit/Hare. One of their traditional foods is the New Year Cake which is popularly known as "Tikoy" and also mooncake. They also prepare different kinds of fruits and for them Red Color coz it invites luck.

Mooncake

They give also red packets or in chinese they called it "Lai See or Ang Pao". For them giving lai see will give them more blessings and success.

Lai See

Dragon Dance will forever be traditional dance to eliminate bad spirits!

Each Chinese year is influenced by whatever animal it falls in. Here is the forecast of what 2011, the Year of the Rabbit, holds for us!

Let’s take a look at each animal, their major personality traits and what the prospects are for 2011, the Year of the Rabbit.

The Rat - 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032, 2044

Rats are charming, elegant and clever. They can be a bit gossipy and prone to being distracted. They’re also thrifty and very good with handling money. Family and close friends are exceptionally important to them. The Rat is charming beyond words and throughout his undoubtedly long life he will always be popular and will have many friends.

Forecast for 2011 The Rat will feel glad in a lot of ways to see the end of the Year of the Tiger! There were a lot of changes and the pace was fast - not something the Rat is entirely comfortable with. The Chinese Year of the Rabbit is the opposite – its tempo will be slow and steady and the Rat must try to be patient and remain content with steady progress throughout 2011. Work will again be highlighted but this time the Rat’s experience and knowledge will be called upon, helping him to advance quite nicely in his career. April, October and November are well-starred for this. On the love and romance side of life, there could be cause for celebration during the year in the form of an engagement, wedding or birth. July, August and December and January will be particularly special months. An important aspect of 2011 for the Rat is time for personal growth, hobbies and developing skills that bring happiness. For any Rats that like to write, this year will see their creativity heightened and whether for pleasure or profit, writing is highlighted in a most positive way. Health wise, the Rat will have felt burnt out sometimes during 2010 and in 2011 his vitality will be improved. He will feel stronger and will also be taking better care of himself, maintaining a good diet and steady exercise routine.

Magnetic, passionate and grand! When the Tiger does anything, it’s noticed! Indecisiveness and stubbornness can mar the sparkle of the Tiger personality. On the one hand generous, on the other hand a little mean, it’s sometimes hard to know where one stands with the Tiger. Flexible, honest and truly entertaining, one has a friend for life with a Tiger.
Forecast for 2011 Most Tigers will be feeling quite pleased and energized at the end of their own year in 2010. The Year of the Rabbit will be another positive year for them. Romantic matters are particularly to the forefront, with many born under this sign deciding to get married or to take the relationship to the next level. Single Tigers will have many chances to meet a partner with June to September particularly well aspected. If they have faced recent personal trials and tribulations, 2011 will prove to be a much brighter year. Financially, the Tiger will most likely see an increase in income, either due to a pay rise or an unexpected windfall. With careful planning and budgeting, they can enjoy this monetary increase whilst easing financial burdens. Hobbies and outdoor pursuits will also interest the Tiger this year and will provide relaxation and a social setting, both of which will suit him just fine. Travel and spending holidays with friends will be a focus during late spring and also August and September. If there is a dream location he’s always wanted to visit, this is the perfect year to do so! A house purchase or change of home could very well feature on the cards also. The Rabbit is occasionally over cautious and can be a bit boring. He is also one of the luckiest signs in the Chinese Astrology chart.

Forecast for 2011 The Rabbit will have found the momentum during 2010 quite unsettling, little realizing that his accomplishments during the year will set him up beautifully for his own year in 2011. This will be a stunning and most favorable year for him, especially in regard to work and career. His ability to interact with others will put him in the lead for any promotions at work. Also, if the Rabbit is considering a completely different career, this is the perfect time to explore his options. Assertive, energetic and talented are all words to describe the Dragon personality. On the other hand, the Dragon has a tendency to be condescending and tactless without realising it. In the Chinese Zodiac, they are born under the sign of luck. They generally enjoy robust health and tend to be very successful in anything they turn their hand to.

Forecast for 2011 The Chinese Year of the Rabbit will be a more balanced and secure year than 2010 for all Dragons. They will have loved the exciting nature of the Tiger year, but now it’s time to take it down a notch or two! Many of them will have had changes in their job and the steadier tempo of 2011 will help them to settle in and possibly even go for promotions. July, September and November will give Dragons a chance to reassess what they’re doing and what direction they now want to go in. The opportunity to retrain or take night classes should be considered seriously. The foundations they now lay will greatly enhance their prospects in 2012 – their own year. Romance is beautifully starred with opportunities to meet new people all through the year but particularly during April, June, September and December. On the whole, this will be a positive and happy year for Dragons. The monetary situation will improve for most and their eye for a bargain will be particularly keen. Intelligent and highly intuitive are two of the Snake’s many fine qualities. He makes an amusing and romantic friend with a definite flirtatious streak. When challenged or criticized he can be a sore loser. The Snake is very lucky with money and is fond of the odd bet or two. He is quick-witted and enjoys reading, music and occasionally the paranormal side of life.

Forecast for 2011 Snakes like to have plans and follow their itinerary in an orderly fashion – 2010 threw all this out the window! The Chinese Year of the Rabbit will be a much more appealing year to the Snake and he will feel back on track, albeit still busy and full of activity. The focus of 2011 for the Snake will be to make sure he is doing something he likes, something that allows him to express his creativity and talents and something that he excels at. February, March and October will provide windows of opportunities in his career to achieve this. However, he must put in the effort and make his intentions known, or the windows may close again. Financially, things are looking much brighter for the Snake and with planning and saving, this will be an excellent year. Home decorating and refurbishments are highlighted this year and time at home with family and friends will be treasured. Romance and friendship will be superb in 2011 and he will get much enjoyment from social gatherings, especially ones connected with work. The Rooster - 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029, 2041, 2053

The Rooster is always popular, extravagant and creative. They can be brutally honest and generally like being showered with attention. They are wonderfully loyal friends and also give advice freely – whether they are asked for it or not! Family means the world to the Rooster and they are one of the most loyal signs in the Chinese zodiac.

Forecast for 2011 The Year of the Rabbit will be a much quieter year than 2010 for the Rooster. However, the Rooster will have to curb his natural exuberance and enthusiasm just a bit in 2011 and practice some patience and common sense. On the work front, it will be vital for the Rooster to work closely with his colleagues and practice his networking skills. This will stand to him during the months of March, April, November and December when unexpected developments happen . All the work he does now on the career front will pay dividends in 2012, the Chinese Year of the Dragon. The Rooster should also consider any opportunities he may have to study or for training. This would go extremely well for him and again benefit him greatly later on in the year. On the social and romantic side of life, this will be a much more settled and quiet year, which will be to many a Rooster’s liking. March, July and August look to be the most active on the social scene. A word of warning though – the Rooster must take care to temper his words with friends and not be too harsh. A quarrel or end of a close relationship could result. Financially, the Rooster may have a few home-related expenses this year with repairs, decorating and renovations. It would be wise to manage any project sensibly and shop around for the best deal; Chinese Rabbit years can be expensive for all signs. On the whole, 2011 looks like being a pleasurable and encouraging year for all Roosters.

Seize the moment when it presents itself! Financially, the Dog can look forward to an improvement in his situation. This will allow him to indulge his hobbies and perhaps take a trip or two. In the Year of the Rabbit, the Dogs must guard against lost, delayed or incorrect documentation. Make doubly sure that everything is as it should be on all paperwork this year. The Dog will have a renewed interest in health, fitness and outdoor pursuits this year, which will greatly benefit his vitality and zest for life. If he can leave the past couple of challenging years behind him, 2011 will be a most gratifying and happy year.

They are highly intelligent, but prefer to keep this side of their nature under wraps. The Pig does not care that much for money, but is one of the Chinese zodiac signs that is very lucky.

Forecast for 2011 The Pig loves to have fun and socialize with family and friends and on this front, the Year of the Rabbit will not disappoint him! He made not have been the life of the party recently, but in 2011 his social network will greatly increase with April, May, July and October being the most enjoyable months. Single Pigs could very well meet a romantic partner through a friend or at a family gathering. The Pig parties hard and works hard and in the Year of the Rabbit he will be bringing in the rewards for all his hard work. March, April and September will see work developments happen, but they must be ready to pounce at any time during the year. The Pig will be feeling good in 2011 and would like all manner of wonderful things to happen – all at once! My Bestfriend Forever!!!

2011-01-24T22:48:00.000-08:00

I have zillion of friends but you can only count with my fingers those whom I trusted as I called them my bestfriends. One of them is my Best friend Jeniffer Aguirre Escobal. She was my classmate in 1st year high school we became close friends but I was transferred to other section when I was in 2nd year till I graduated in fourth year high. Since then, we only got a chance to say hi and hello every time we see each other somewhere in the school.

I believe that we’re meant to be as Best friend’s coz’ after such a long period of time we’ve seen each other again in the same University, same course and section. Serendipity!!! I consider it as a blessing because she influences my life to be a good friend, sister and a daughter. Our friendship keeps stronger and deeper despite of our differences. But somehow we also have common interests like anime, dogs, movies, foods.

When it comes to looks as others normally noticed her height, complexion, and appearance are totally opposite of mine (LOL!=))) but of course she loves me for what I am. On that first day of class in June I marked that day as the start of our good friendship and thank God that we are still best friend though we’re million miles away from each other.

miles away - from US - UAE

I am not saying that our friendship is perfect, there were those time that she doesn’t want to talk to me and so do I, you know we have some rough roads as well and I truly consider it as a test for our friendship and as a result we remain loyal and true to each other. Her family treated me as one of their own and I will forever treasure all the memories that we’ve shared. I can still remember the day we wanted to go to Puerto Galle in Mindoro both Mama and Papa (Her parents) didn’t allow us to go. Still we went to the beach, Mama and Papa were really upset of what we did and when we went back home both of us were scolded. We both know the consequences but we are stubborn and we had escaped (hahaha very memorable one). The most important is we’ve learned our lesson. I missed the sleepovers at their house eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with the whole Aguirre’s family. These are just few blissful memories that I would never ever trade for anything.

Best friends are like stars, sometimes you can't see them, but they're always there. Just like her, we barely see each other, no matter how far the distance is, she will be a best friend and a true sister to me forever. Now that it is her special day, I want to thank my Best for bringing out the best and loving the worst in me. I really miss her presence. I wish she’s just near beside me. I wish we could bond together again. I love her forever! I’m forever thankful for the wonderful friendship we have! Our friendship is a treasure to keep.

ARE YOU IN OR OUT???

2011-01-15T10:18:00.000-08:00

This was my figure few weeks or months I stepped in Dubai. Most people I know in this country always tell that if you don’t have “belbel” you’re out! Entering the world of CMS (“my current workplace”) is a combination of a perfect environment and stress free working atmosphere, I mean to say in a sense of having a cool and friendly colleagues in a diversified races (Indian, Nepal, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Filipino most specially). Plus God’s bonus… he provided a good boss.

You know what I really enjoy most??? When the clock set at 12:30... It's a long wait we all have been waiting for! This is the time to enjoy food by sharing what we have. The time we have sharing our opinions, simple life stories and most of the times chismax…(hehehe)We're like one HAPPY FAM!!!(This is what I'm gonna miss) You couldn’t even notice that you already had enough food intake.

Today it made me feel conscious after weighing myself. It made me stress and started thinking on how to lose weight. Should I stop eating too much rice…. Now I feel the pressure it’s like a paranoia. I started surfing the net how to get rid of fats. But What To Do Yani??? Devils are everywhere. I wish I could eliminate eating chokies and other sinful foods.

But the BIG ? is ARE U IN or OUT???

My super DFF Mocha

2011-01-14T13:55:00.000-08:00

I can still remember the day I first hold my DFF named Mocha.. She was given by a college friend Meldy (That was year 2002 after our graduation)…

Belt @ 1 month

Our very own BELT

Actually I am really fond of dogs, we had a puppy before but it died young. It’s a sad memory coz we haven’t spent a longer time with that puppy. Then the day I went to my friend’s house I saw cute little puppies and ask her to give me at least one. Without hesitations Meldy gave two puppies for me (Mocha and Betty) I gave Betty to my cuz. So the only puppy I got is Mocha.

The day I took her at home was a big change… There is always a reason to smile becoz of her… she’s a sweet and a smart puppy… Me and MJ my youngest sis were really fond of her… we treated her as our own Super DFF Mocha. She eats whatever foods we eat… Zillion memories with my DFF is unremarkable. She’s very sweet, fun and a best buddy.

We cannot control everything in this world… but everything happens for a reason. My DFF mocha past away last July 10, 2010. It’s very hard to accept that she’s gone but I have to face the reality.

Mocha's Tomb in our garden....

I am still thankful for the 8years we had spent together… and she still remain in our heart forever… Her son Mocha is the only puppy I got when I look at her son Bel I can still feel my Super DFF ‘s existence.

What r u thingking of Moch???
