This October, we look forward to welcoming Legacy Five back to the Grand stage. When the legendary cathedral quartet retired in December of 1999, Scott Fowler and Roger Bennett decided to continue the rich musical tradition of Southern gospel quartet singing. Legacy Five was organized and had their official debut in January 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Since that day, they have made a major mark on the Southern gospel music world. Immediately, audiences responded overwhelmingly to their four-part harmony and their ability to effectively communicate the message of Christ. Since the quartet’s formation, they have established and maintained a firm place at the top of Christian music. To learn more about Legacy Five, follow their Facebook page or visit their website.

We invite you to experience the 2026 Cork & Fork Culinary Weekend. This year will bring an extraordinary culinary journey celebrating The Flavors That Built America in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary.

This celebrated weekend shines a spotlight on the creativity and talent of exceptional female chefs from across the country. Guided by this year’s theme, The Flavors That Built America, our chefs will craft a menu that spans the nation’s diverse culinary landscape from coastal to heartland, from humble beginnings to haute cuisine. Each course will honor the ingredients, stories, and pioneering spirit that have shaped 250 years of American independence, innovation, and community.

Complementing these inspired creations, guests will explore exceptional global wines thoughtfully paired with each course, along with curated cheese tastings that highlight the art of pairing and balance. Together, these experiences tell a story of connection and how food and wine have brought people together in America across generations, cultures, and continents to share in the enduring joy of the table.

As autumn settles over Mackinac Island, Grand Hotel becomes the setting for an immersive mystery. Fall Murder Mystery Weekend invites guests to step into an unfolding story, beginning with a welcome reception and continuing through a weekend of hidden clues, intriguing encounters, and collaborative investigation. Every detail matters as the experience builds toward a dramatic reveal on Sunday morning.

This season, Murder at Midnight unfolds over three days, set against the shadowed elegance of the late Victorian era. When a death interrupts the evening, private indiscretions and long-simmering tensions surface, whispered conversations reveal guarded secrets, and rumors blur the line between suspicion and truth. Can you piece together the truth before the final strike of midnight? Come and help solve the mystery and dress the part in attire from the Late Victorian Era!

There is still a fair amount of green but the splashes of color throughout the island are especially vibrant this year. Look for absolute peak sometime near this weekend with plenty of color next week and into next weekend.
