Thanks for contacting me.

I don’t make money online thru paid posting. Though it’s quite tempting coz medyo malaki yung pay-out, I don’t like the idea that if I don’t make a post, I don’t earn money.

My way of making money online is by hijacking keywords thru SEO. Medyo magulo, but let me explain thru example.

I just research on keywords na malimit isearch sa Google, do some SEO (search engine optimization) stuff on it, wait for the visitors to come and earn thru Google Adsense. An example keyword: friendster skin.

If you search friendster skin on Google, you’ll see one of my blog post on the first page of their search results. Araw-araw, maraming nagsesearch nyan. Kaya araw-araw, kahit wala akong bagong post, may mga bagong visitors ako na naghahanap ng friendster skins. Araw-araw, basta may magclick nung Google Adsense sa post na yun, kumikita ako.

So far, I already have hundreds of keywords hijacked, sending my blog at least 2000 visitors a day. Dyan ako kumikita. I’m not active on paid reviews, kahit wala akong post for a week, tuloy ang kita, coz of the visitors na nagsesearch sa Google where my blog posts ranks on the first page.

Now, siguro, nagtatanong ka. Paano mag-umpisa?

First, you have to make sure that your blog is search engine friendly. This is called onpage optimization. Here’s my post about it.

Second, you need to properly position your Google Adsense ads. Here’s my post about ad placement.

Third, you need to research for keywords to optimize. Here’s my blog post about it.

Fourth, you need to get links to your blog post. The more incoming links, the more your blog post will rank on search engines kasi. Here’s my post about it.

Pagkatapos nyan, just rinse and repeat. Target a keyword every week, continue link building and watch your Adsense earnings grow every day. The result is not that great on the first 3 to 6 months, but once your target keywords started occupying the first pages of the search engines, tuloy tuloy na ang kita. Kahit wala kang bagong post, tuloy tuloy ang dating ng visitors.

They say, it’s Super Slim, but for me, it’s not that slim. It is still a CRT TV and not an LCD TV, so, there is still some bulky space at the back, but not as bulky as the traditional CRT TVs.

Here are some of its features:

• AV Multi System. It’s a multi-system. NTSC, PAL, etc., can be viewed. I think, almost all TV nowadays has this feature, right?
• DVD Component Input. You can connect it to a DVD player. But I don’t have a DVD player yet! Well, at least, it’s ready.
• AV Stereo. Stereo sound. Good for watching movies and listening to music.
• Bi Column Speaker. Yeah, it has two big column speakers at the sides.

• PIP or Picture In Picture. You can view another video from another video source on the sides. Like you can watch a DVD movie and watch Deal or No Deal at the same time. But you cannot watch Kapamilya and Kapuso at the same time, because they are coming from the same video source (cable).

We bought it at Abenson Waltermart for Php13K+ with a 3-year extended warranty and a free TV-rack.

• August 2. Experienced 4 hours delay on our flight to Davao caused by NAIA-3’s birth pains. No paging system, television messaging system was down, even pilots and stewardess didn’t know where the gates were located.
• August 3. Shopping for things needed on the wedding like shoes, clothes, jewelries.
• August 4. Attended the church seminar for soon-to-be-married couples.
• August 5. Second day of the wedding seminar. Went to the reception venue to finalize everything.
• August 6. Renewed my soon-to-expire driver’s license at SM City. Wedding ceremony rehearsal at the church at night.
• August 7. Picked up my relatives from Batangas and Olangapo at the airport by 2:30PM. Good thing, their flights were no longer delayed. However, my brother’s baggage were left at Manila (another NAIA-3’s glitch?) Good thing, they were able to send it on the next flight by 4:00 PM.
• August 8. The wedding day. Took place at Iglesia Ni Cristo Church at Matina, Davao City. Reception was held at Sunny Point Plaza, Ma-a Road, Davao City. Everything went smoothly. No untoward incidents happened. We earned Php34000 on our first dance! Thanks to all the ninongs, ninangs, friends and relatives that pinned their precious 500s and 1000s peso bills. Honeymoon at night, what else?!
• August 9. Went to Crocodile’s Park, Tribu Mindanao, and Butterfly House with my relatives. Then, they went back to Manila that day.
• August 10. Watched Zohan. Met with my wife’s friends. Dinner at Picabello. Went to People’s Park. Videoke. Went to Sea Wall.
• August 11. Travelled back to Manila. No untoward incident happened. Flight is on time. It’s my birthday! Dinner at Gerry’s Grill, Glorieta.
• August 12. Fixed our place in Makati. Bought a new bed. Bought a new television.
• August 13. Now. Back to work. Back to blogging.

Now, here’s the beauty of Google Adsense and SEO. While doing nothing on this blog for those days, I’m still earning an average of $30/day on Adsense. When I opened my Google Adsense account today, I already have $340+ on it.

I’ll be posting pictures of the wedding later tonight or tomorrow. And I’ll be back hijacking keywords. I heard someone is earning at least $150/day on Adsense now because of Beijing Olympics. Hahabol ako. Hehe.

This is not a problem if you have plenty of bandwidth, a dedicated server and you don’t care. However, if you are in a paid shared hosting service where every KB of bandwidth, every memory and CPU usage count, allowing image hotlinking could give your web server additional load. Your bandwidth can be consumed faster. Memory and CPU usage could be higher than normal if someone hotlinked one of your images in a high-traffic site.

Because of this, I decided to disable hotlinking of images hosted on my blog. Images will only be displayed if it is used by macuha.com. Sites hotlinking to the images will see nothing.

Here’s the code I added on my .htaccess to accomplish this task:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?macuha.com(/)?.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule .*\.(gif|jpg|jpeg|bmp|png)$ - [F,NC]


If you have cPanel. this could be accomplished easily. Here’s how. I don’t have cPanel so I have to directly edit the .htaccess file.
