Pagani Zonda R with the engine cover removed at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. This was the first time I have ever seen a Pagani! The carbon fiber was flawless and just so beautiful looking with all the different ribbon weaves between assembled parts. The engine bay as you can see is a work of art and an absolute engineering masterpiece. Plaques on the car indicate Gearbox n.02 and Zonda R n.00 R00065.

The 2002 turbo was only built in 1973 & 1974. It predated the Porsche 930 turbo, which was the car the probably really inserted the word 'turbo' into the car enthusiast's mind. But the 2002 turbo beat it to the punch. With 170 BHP from its 2 litre engine and weighing 1080 kilos it gave 0-60 mph in 7.5 secs and a top speed of 130 mph. Nothing much to write home about today but impressive in the 70's.

I was very happy to grab the first photo. There is a Ferrari / Maserati dealership opening up in Taichung so to celebrate they brought in all these Ferraris and Maseratis to do a parade around Taichung up to the showroom.

SV 9 Competizione will be limited to 1000 units. Described as Italian Blood, American Heart. $100,000. This re-worked corvette C6 has a 50/50 weight distribution, full carbon fiber body, 6.2L V8 with 450hp and 445 ft-lb of torque and will do 0-60mph in 4 seconds with a top speed of 190mph. This model was painted in Vermiglio Eruttare.
