I seem to be on a plateau. For the last few weeks I am have been around the same weight 15st 7lbs to 15st 11lbs . This is because of a combination of binge eating, over-eating,emotional eating, junk food eating and lack of regular exercise. I have to make time for exercise and organising my food.I eat pretty good during my 3 days at work. Why? its because I organise every meal.I bring my own food. And when I have control of my food. I eat very healthy. Its during the 4 other days I fall down. I dont eat at regular interval. Often I dont have a choice what I can eat. Is that an excuse? I dont maintain a food diary anymore.I dont plan my food. I dont have make time.My life is all over the place.I have no pattern or ritual. I need to organise my self or Im going nowhere.I want to be 14st and 7lbs in 2 months time. I am going to record all I eat. Make healthy choices in relation to the type of food and quantities. I am going to record the type and the quantities of food. So here it is....
I have at present a BMI of 29, which means I am still overweight. How do I feel. I am not completely healthy and fit. I have a lot of positive progress. But I still have more work to do.
Now at my starting weight 19st 10.5 lbs.I used to have a massive bmi of 37.Which meant I was obese. I definitely didn't feel well.
In 2004 at my heaviest. I use to have a bmi of approximately 41. I was approximately 22st or 140 kgs approx. I say approximately because I didn't record my start weight when I started to lose weight. I just went and did it.How did I feel...I felt trapped unhealthy. Lots of other crap was happening as well.

At my target weight, I will have a BMI of 27.This still means I am in the overweight category. To be within the healthy bracket with a 25 bmi.I have to be 13st 10lb.
It is possible.
Though do I want to do it.
To be, or not to be, — that is the question: —
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?

A note
Limitations of BMI
It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others who have a muscular build.
It may underestimate body fat in older persons and others who have lost muscle mass.

My plan for the New Year.....

By 22ND of March 2008.
I am at present 20 lbs away from my target weight.
So at theoretical(It is possible) weight loss rate of 2 lbs per week.
In 5 weeks time on the 15Th of February I should be 15st 3lbs.(10lb loss)
(Review of food and training program)
In 10 weeks time on the 22ND of March 2008 I should be 14st 7lbs.(20lb loss)
I will have reached my target weight.
By a combination of diet and exercise.
Diet program.
Selecting healthy food that I am allowed based on my intolerance list.
Monitoring my food quantity intake by using the weight-watchers point system.
Exercise program.
Free weight programme on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
With 30-60 minutes of moderate to intensive exercise on Monday and Friday.
From the 22ND of March,I will start preparing for the Marathon.....
Which will require a review of diet and training.

Progress......

Progress.....
I am 15 stone 13lb or 101.36 kilos or 223 lbs. So this is my first day without chocolate or deep fried food. I am going cold turkey. And do you know I wasn't hungry half the time I ate the food. If It could be described as food?I ate one sweet then another. Couldn't really get enough. Sat down and grazed. Well what happened I put on weight and I suffered internally.(ie I felt like crap). So today when I'm hungry outside meals I have fruit lots of fruit. Starting tomorrow I'm gonna start a food diary. Have to get organised. Today I have a food hangover. I went out for a meal with suppliers and colleagues. I had lobster(first time ever),4 different types of bread, fillet steak(sauce, garlic potatoes and Christmas pudding with ice-cream. That's a lot of food, a lot of different tastes and it was late at night. So today I am suffering. I feel as if I had been drinking. Also did I mention I have had only 11 hours sleep between the two nights. So everything is going against me. All self inflicted.Still that was the last Christmas party. I am officially finished for the year. Starting again today....

Should I take a break for Christmas?

I had a colonostomy Tuesday. All clear except for a small fissure which I have to discuss with the surgeon during the 2nd week of January. So they recommend water, fruit and fibre.I was thinking of having a break for Christmass, but how long is Christmass it is really only one day ie the 25th of December. So I will take a break that day. So I intend to try have fruit and homemade fruit juice(as prescribed by the food intolerance diet) in the mornings, only one main meal with a large portions of vegetables. Minimun amounts of desserts(fruit only if possible).

I thought about food combining, but it seems to be a little bit unfounded.I have seen it in other diets(which were not exactly healthy). Still it might be worth two weeks attempt.
Well I haven't weighed myself this week yet....I will do it tomorrow.

Weight In

Well today as expected... I didnt lose weight......I gained 1 lb... I am now 225 lbs or 16stone 1lb. This is due to my eating habits of the last week. I think I will have to maintain a food diary for the next 3 weeks.Christmas can have a bad effect on the weight. There are always lots of opportunity to gain weight....So if I eat, I will write it down.I think I will have to organise a diary.I will have to research it and decide what I will write, well other than food for example mood, times or location and Im gonna go back to the weightwatchers point method.
