Finally, after years and years of requests, Capcom decided to announce Mega Man Legends 3. Due to low budget and handhelds popularity in Japan, it's going to be released for 3DS, the new console from Nintendo.

Are you hyped? Is this all you ever wanted?
Dissapointed to see this on 3DS and not on PS3/X360/Wii?

Leave a comment and share your thoughts.

It's unfortunate that only 10 people voted this time, but I guess most prefers RPGs over everything else.

RPG - 8 votes (80%)
Action - 1 vote (10%)
Strategy - 1 vote (10%)

That's a win for the RPG genre, which is personally my favorite.
Alright people, let's see much more votes next time!

Who doesn't remember Squaresoft before the fusion with Enix? Every new game built enormous hype around the fans, and most were truly satisfied with each new title. Nowadays, most Square-Enix RPGs unfortunely lost that spirit and what made many games unique. So how about some video game music from those good times?

Final Fantasy Tactics - Run Past Though The Plains

Final Fantasy IX - You're Not Alone!

Final Fantasy VIII - Ride On

2010-09-14T17:44:00.000+01:00

And so the poll has ended. The question was "How many hours per day do you waste on the computer"? Let's see the results.

As you can see, there is a total dominance of those who stay on the computer more than 6 hours per day. To be honest, I am one of them, and I do think it's too much time wasted.

So c'mon guys, let's try to change our lifestyle!

My Games of Choice

2010-09-12T20:19:00.000+01:00

Everyone has their favorite games and so do I. Based on my experience and on what I've played, I'll post here, by genre, what my favorite games are. Of course, I'll have to leave many stuff out, but at least I'll let you guys have an idea about my taste.

RPG: Suikoden II

This is probably the hardest choice, having played hundreds and hundreds of RPGs. When I first played Suiko2, I wasn't familiar with the series and though the system and graphics weren't too catchy, but as story progresses, I found myself in love with this gem. Definitely the best story a RPG ever had.

Adventure: Snatcher

Without a doubt, my favorite adventure game ever. Even though I loved Policenauts and Famitan2, this is definitely my top tier. Graphics, music, voices, gameplay, fanservice, this game has it all. A true masterpiece by Hideo Kojima.

Action: Streets of Rage II

Even today, I still prefer 2D beat'em ups to 3D action games, so this is my choice. Streets of Rage II, a game that made my childhood afternoons occupied. The game's flow is just amazing, each stage and character is unique, and Yuzo Koshiro made his best work for this game also.

Fighting: Rival Schools

Another hard choice, specially because I prefer 2D Fighters as a whole. But Rival Schools was one of he first fighting games I played and it will forever remain in my heart as one of the best. Interesting characters, excellent music, fun gameplay and good story mode, this game sure showed me how good fighting games can be.

Strategy: Age of Empires II

Not one of my favourite genres, but this game sure was fun back in the day. Build your empire, occupying territory and conquering the land, this game sure was revolutionary.

Driving: Gran Turismo 3

My first PS2 game and one of the reasons why I love driving today. A driving game couldn't be more realistic back in the early 2000's. A true gem for any car and driving lover.

VGM round 7!

2010-09-12T05:42:00.003+01:00

Alright, how about some Game Boy Advance music this time? GBA sure had alot of titles, and among them many good tracks. I'll leave here some of my favourites.

Golden Sun - Venus Lighthouse (Perfect song for any last dungeon)

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow - Ruined Castle Corridor

Mega Man Zero 4 - Esperanto

Zone of the Enders Fist of Mars - Main Menu Theme

Sonic Adventure - Egg Rocket Zone

Gyakuten Saiban - Cornered

GO GO Power Rangers!

2010-09-11T20:10:00.002+01:00

When people think about Power Rangers, they remember the awesome series they used to watch as kids.
But the franchise also reached the video game industry, and I always think about the awesome Mighty Morphin Power Rangers developed by Natsume for the SNES.
This is a very good beat'em up, much like Final Fight 3 or Ninjawarriors. Fast, colored and fun, this game gives players exactly what they want.
You can choose 1 from the 5 Power Rangers and engage in battle with Rita, your archenemy. Travelling from various levels and fighting many bosses, I guarantee this game is full of fun, even if you aren't a fan of the series.
Another strong point of the game is the awesome soundtrack, with amazing and catchy tracks.
Enjoy the video and comment what you think about the game!

Trip to the Past - Snatcher

2010-09-09T02:56:00.000+01:00

1996. One third of the world's population is wiped out due to the outbreak of a mysterious virus. 2044. A strange life form mysteriously appears out of nowhere in the city of Neo Kobe. This mysterious bioroids later become known as "Snatchers".

This is the introduction of Snatcher, a cyberpunk adventure game created by Hideo Kojima, creator of the worldwide known saga Metal Gear.

So, what's this game about? You control Gillian Seed, the protagonist, who has no recollection of his past. Recalling only the word "Snatcher", he becomes a JUNKER in hopes of recovering his memory.

Travelling around the city of Neo Kobe in a PC-style adventure game style, your only option is to uncover the truth and find out what "Snatchers" really are.

Having only an english released on the criticized Mega CD system, Snatcher still remains in the hearts of the hardcore gamers as one of the best games created.

For those who are curious, check out the wonderful introduction of this masterpiece.

Trip to the Past - Dragon Ball Z Yu Buu Retsuden

2010-09-08T01:38:00.002+01:00

Probably not many remember this gem from the Mega Drive generation. Outside Japan, it was released in European countries like France, Spain and Portugal, due the huge success DBZ had there.
Talking about the game, this was a competitor to the SNES's Super Butouden counterparts. Sharing a similiar gameplay and story mode, its strongest point was the superb soundtrack created by composers Amayangu, Asshii and Yokoyanma. From the introduction to the staff roll, this games shares very catchy music that much players still remember to this day. It was also the first game to included Krillin as a playable character, who never made an appearance on any of the 3 Super Butouden.
I strongly recommend every DBZ fan to try this at least once, and be aware, the music won't get out of your head for the next days.

VGM 2

2010-09-07T07:02:00.001+01:00

Here's another post about the previous subject. I'll put more of my favorite tracks and try to avoid what's mainstream, that way some might find previously unheard music.
Oh and if there are requests, I'll gladly put whatever you guys want in here.

Samurai Legend Musashi - Village of the Sacret Beast

dot Hack - Water Capital Mac Anu (seriously, hearing this always gives me chills)
