Review

I was sent a pair of aviators to review for you all. I've wanted a pair of aviator style sunglasses for a while. I think the shape fits my face well and they're cute. I was pleased to find that these sunglasses fit me quite well and were just the style I was looking for.

Pros: The sunglasses were inexpensive and cute. The company had fast shipping.

Cons: The shape of the lens hits my eyelashes, which I don't like much. But I can live with it. I have no cons about the company, they were great.

If you're looking for sunglasses, or are just curious, check out these little guides. They're kind of fun to read. Just to help you decide which sunglasses work with your skin tone and face shape.

Apparently, I would look best with "rectangular or square shapes" and "blue, pink, plum, magenta, tortoise, green, silver and black frames or lenses look best" for colors (is I really am a cool skin tone. I never really figured that out. Haa.) What face shape and skin tones do you have?

Lack of Activity, Sorry

I'm sorry for my lack of posts lately.
I'm trying to keep my blog active and my readership happy by hosting giveaways, which I seem to be doing a decent job with.
I'd like to get back into posting more fashion and reading posts, and maybe even some opinion posts, you know, things that are from me for you all that are not sponsored or giveaways (though mind you I only host giveaways and do reviews from products I like and want to let you all know about).

I moved into an apartment with three other friends who were already living here over the weekend. It was a good change, but it hasn't been easy emotionally. I've been going through some stuff and it was unfortunate timing that this move took place.
I've also been pretty busy, and my boyfriend has been super busy (he'll be graduating this Spring), so we haven't gotten to spend much of any time together, so I'm missing him a lot on top of the other emotional turmoil.

I just thought I'd let you all know that I do plan on stopping blogging anytime soon, life is just a bit intense right now so I am not able to be as active as I would like.

To those of you who have been around for a while: thank you for sticking it out with me. I appreciate your continued support through all my blog changes.
To those of you who are newer: thank you for the support. I love getting new readers and I appreciate you reading my blog.

This game would make a great gift for an anniversary or Valentine's Day for the partner in your life, or for a couple you know. This game seems more geared towards established relationships looking to rekindle their fire, increase their communication, and just have a good time. However, this could also be a fun game to play with any partner you may have. (I was going to play with my boyfriend this weekend, but I moved into an apartment and he was gone most of the weekend.)

I suppose this is more of a general overview as suppose to a review. I haven't actually played the game, but I have looked through it, read the game cards and got a good feel for the game and how it is played.

Though I've never played a similar game, I have heard about couple games like this before. However, I feel like this is definitely one of the better couple games out there. Based on the cards I read, it looks fun as well as useful in strengthening your relationship. Dr. Love, the greater of the game, seems to have a good understanding for how relationships work and the factors that need to go into a good relationship that is mutually beneficial.

I would suggest this game to anyone in a relationship, but specific those who may be struggling. I really do feel this game could help improve your relationship and bring back the spark you may have lost. It would also make a fun gift for an anniversary of a couple you know, or a wedding present.

Stop SOPA & PIPA NOW!

STOP SOPA & PIPA!

If you don't already know, SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act, or Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011) are bills the US congress is currently trying to pass that would censor the internet.
To learn more about these bills, simply Google it. There are tons of websites detailing the acts and why we should all be urging Congress to vote 'no' on these acts.

Join the Protest, email the Congress: http://americancensorship.org/

You'll also notice that for today, in honor of the SOPA/PIPA Blackout, I have not blacked out my blog, but I have added a huge ol' block on my blogs banner.

If you are a blog owner, I urge you to take action. Check out the link below for some HTML code that adds a "Stop SOPA" and "Stop PIPA" ribbon to your blog. Non-intrusive, but the message is made.

Living: Diamond Candles Review & Giveaway

Diamond Candles is a company that offers earth friendly, all natural soy candles. Every candle contains a ring worth $10, $100, $1,000 or even $5,000.

The color the candle looks in the picture isn't the color it looks in person. I'd say the candle, at least mine of this scent, looks more like the color of this font.

I was lucky enough to be sent a candle from Diamond Candles to review for you all. I received a candle in the scent "Sweety Pea", which I was thrilled about as sweet pea is one of my favorite scents. It's a lovely purple shade. Each candle retails for only $24.95, which is quite reasonable, especially when you factor in the fun of getting a ring out of it.

I first became aware of Diamond Candles several months ago when I stumbled upon a ring reveal video on YouTube. At the time I though it was a super cool idea and would make a great gift. I was super excited when I was able to receive my own candle to review and enjoy!

Keep posted for a "reveal" post. When I reach my ring, I will make another post showing you all what the ring inside my candle looks like.

Fashion: Wholesale Costume Club- Flapper Costume Review

Wholesale Costume Club offers a great selection of tons of costumes. They offer costumes from all sorts of eras, like the Jazz Age, humorous costumes, food costumes, characters and many more.

The costume I review, as pictured above, is a fun flapper costume. I've always been a fan of the look of flapper dresses. I wanted to be a flapper for this past Halloween, but went as Skittles instead (which is good because there were two other flappers. But this coming Halloween, in 10 months, I hope to go as a flapper in this costume.

Pros:
The costume is affordable and reasonably priced in relation to what it is. It's comfortable to wear and move around in. The headband is super cute and adds to the look nicely. I've always liked the look of black flapper dresses.
As for the company, they have fast shipping and variety of costumes to choose from.

Cons:
The fabric is a bit thin, but nothing I can't work with. I would have liked for the fringe to continue under my arm pits. (The first row of fringe is absent under the arm pit.) It's probably so it doesn't get all tangled, but I would still like fringe there.

Would I buy from this company again?
Short answer, yes.
