Monsters In...Monsters Out

Well hello and happy Thursday!

Yesterday I went to the post office to pick up a parcel, in a conversation with the person behind the counter I mentioned that I have my own business. At the end of our transaction, the person said "Oh and what is your business?"

What is your buiness? What do you do?

These questions make me a little nervous. Not only because I also still work 9-5 ish for someone else, but also because I'm never quite sure how someone's going to take my answer...what ever it is I answer with at the time. My answers vary:

1. "I make Monsters"
2. "I beguile BeSpoke Monsters"
3. "I manufacture plush toy monsters"
4. "I design and manufacture plush toy monsters and sell them mostly on-line"

My favourite answer of the above four, is the second one, of course, but usually that just gets me a stare and a smile that says "oh, well I sure am sorry i asked, hope the medication is working well for you".

If I am feeling particularly confident and a little cocky I will definitely use the second answer...but I think I'm in the market for a new answer to that question...any suggestions?

While I contemplate that it, I thought I'd share yet another photo from a recent BeSpoke adopter...this person adopted Lefty B.L. Monster and sent me this photo:

And, while Lefty reached his new home another monster has been adopted and will be on his way this afternoon or tomorrow:

Yup it's Ives B.L. Monster - he could barely eat his cake he was so darn excited (although he did eat it though...a l l of it!)

I feel like I should also re-mention that if anyone out there has a particular colour BeSpoke Monster they are looking for, please go on over to my Etsy shop and leave me a message, I love beguiling custom BeSpokes and will be happy to help!! There are so many BeSpoke Monsters out there, just waiting to come in to the studio and find a new home....so little time!

But I promise, more are coming, and I know, more will go...its the ever changing world of the BeSpoke Monsters! Speaking of which...if you want to visit the monsters currently in the shop, you really should. It's so easy - almost no effort at all and you get to smile!

Monster Appreciation and They Keep Going!

Well hello hello hello!

Recently I received a couple of photos from a BeSpoke Monster Adopter, and as you all know, I love getting photos of the monsters in their new homes...

First Benny and Scully contemplating a Lava Lamp:

It's a little grainy, but I actually like that...adds to the mystery! I love this photo so much!

And just a wonderful photo of the two of them hanging out, (Benny is the BeSpoke Bunny...):

So adorable!!! Thank you (Benny and Scully adopter) for sending these to me - love both of them!!! So if any of you out there have adopted monsters and want to send me a photo or six, please do! You can send them to my Etsy account, which you would have a record of on the adoption certificate or just go on over to my Etsy shop! Thank you! I am looking forward to more and more photos!!

Lefty in, Jones out...the ever revolving BeSpoke Monsters

Hiya and happy Wednesday!

Jones B.L. Monster is well on his way to his new home - all excited and full of cake! :) In the meantime, Lefty B.L. Monster has come into the studio and made himself very much at home.

The monsters and hugs would so love to see you...love for you to visit - and you'll have a wonderful time and probably end up smiling...that's my guess anyway....

In the meantime there will be a couple more monsters on their way to the shop...they came in with Lefty I just haven't been able to settle them down for some photos...but I will soon I promise!!

Jones joins the Shop

Hello hello!

The other day I was watching an Indiana Jones movie (one of my favourites) and I had no idea that a new BeSpoke was standing staring fascinated at the screen. He walked into the room ... real slow ... climbed on my lap and didn't say a word until the movie was over. At the end this BeSpoke declared that his name had to be, will always be Jones B.L. Monster!! Well I had to agree...here he is, the wonderful Jones:

He is such a wonderful story teller...I'm about to go back into the studio and listen, with little cakes for everyone of course! :)

In the meantime, there are four more photos of Jones in my Etsy shop...you know, that shop just on the left side of your screen? Yup that's the one!! Go ahead, go on over and click through - you'll be glad you did!

Jet Lagged Monsters and a new BeSpoke

Hello and happy Friday!

So, the best news for this Friday is that Patch B.L. Monster and his Hug companion have finally found their way to their new home!!! It's the longest any monster has had to travel - brave, brave BeSpokes!! :)

And while the beguiling has been slow, it is happening! Please, let me introduce you to Mac B.L. Monster:

He's awfully sweet, even if he asks a million questions!! If you want to see more of this adorable monster, please just go on over to my Etsy shop...it's right over there to the left...well you know that, you can see it plain as day right? :) Visit the other Monsters while you're there, they really do love to show off.

In the meantime I am back to beguiling, while breathing a very huge sigh of relief for Patch. I should also mention that I am extremely grateful for the patience of the wonderful person who adopted him and the hug - thank you, you are awesome!

Patch B.L. Monster and his Hug were travelling together to their new home, and they have yet to arrive.

They were on their way to a loving home, and extremely happy about it.

They were on their way on November 9, 2011.

Hello Hello everyone!

I trust that all of you are having a lovely wonderful loving warm holiday season! I have had a wonderful holiday. I have been spoiled and am ready to get back to work!

I have also been beguiling up a storm! I would like to introduce you to Charlie B.L. Monster:

Hiya!

Happy Happy Holidays!

We have two visitors in the studio:

Yup, very sweet very cute bunnies. They are keeping the Monsters entertained, not sure where they came from, and apparently they're just dropping by...Christmas Bunnies I suppose. :)

I have not posted much, it's been a busy season for sure!!! All of the monsters that were going to travel are either there or on their way...except for one!! This wonderful monster:

along with his Hug travelling companion...

They are missing!!! :( :( I can only hope that they are keeping each other in good spirits in their very long journey....they are on their way to the U.K. and to one of the studio's best adopters. Lets everyone cross our fingers and toes that they reach her very soon!

While we are doing that I would like to wish you all very happy holidays, from me and a louder greeting with added growl from all the BeSpoke Monsters. Oh and I bet you're wondering when more monsters are gonna make their way into the shop, well not to worry my friends, very very soon there will be more Monsters...there are always more monsters!!! :)

Wednesday is Monster Day !

Happy Wednesday!

I have named Wednesday Monster day because that's when I have a day off from my day job and can get down to the business of beguiling! I am sending three monsters on their way today - three!!!

Here, here's who's been adopted, Scotty B.L. Monster:

They're all pretty darned excited. :)

While they are on their way, Anise B.L. Monster has been featured in yet another treasury! How wonderful is that?

And now while all this is going on, look what showed up right outside the studio!!!!!

The monsters got pretty scared, they were running frantically around the studio trying to find a hiding space....there's fur and cake bits everywhere (they all took some cake with them - in case they have to hide for a long time - ahem).

I am still wandering around the studio looking for them - Anise was pretty easy to find, his left foot was sticking out of the cupboard...

I'm trying to calm them all down, so while I do that, why not go over and visit the few monsters that are still in my Etsy shop - they could use the company - you'll be glad you did, I promise!

Okay off to calm monsters and beguile more!

Hi everyone!

My posting has become a little sporatic I realize, but I am slowly getting back on track!

I still haven't a camera, but I have been using different app's on my iPhone and I seem to be getting a little better at taking and editing photos. So, now I can introduce you to the newest BeSpoke, Fable B.L. Monster:

He's pretty darn sweet, he has orange fur with bits of pink! And yes, he loves to tell a good story! If you want to read more of his extensive profile, just mosey on over to my Etsy shop there on the left of your screen. He's there with a few other monsters just waiting to be visited!

I would also like to introduce you to a new BeSpoke Monster Hug:

He's a wonderful bouncy Turquoise colour and very huggable! He is also over there in my Etsy shop if you want to see a little more of him! At the moment he's the only Hug in the shop, so he's a little lonely and would love a couple of visitors - go on, make a monster happy!

I lost my camera!

Hello hello!

It is Thursday. Yup. I just finished beguiling some custom BeSpokes, 4 to be exact and sent them off to their new homes - they're very happy!

Oh and the young but sweet Leo B.L. Monster was adopted and after the usual and necessary cake party is now off to his new home, here's a photo of him if you've forgotten:

He's very intense looking huh? :)

In the meantime I am working on another request (Olive green...different sized eyes...) and have the very personable Fuggs B. L. Monster in my studio.

The problem is that I have lost my camera. sigh. Yup during my week 'off' I managed to lose it or get it stolen and at the moment I do not have a replacement. I did take a photo or seven of Fuggs with my phone, but they just don't seem to work out very well...here's what I'm talking about:

See? You can see him, you can see that he has very full wonderful fur...and is - of course - very sweet, but it's just such a dark photo! So, so far he isn't in my Etsy shop, but I'm working on getting him there, and others too!! :)

So please, monster lovers, please be patient, more are coming, as I always say - there's always another monster!! :)

In the meantime, I am busy beguiling and I think you might want to mosey on over to my Etsy shop...at least for a quick little visit...the monsters there would appreciate it. :)

We've had cake, lots and lots of cake...

Hello hello!

I know, I know, it's been a very long time...sheesh! I have been so busy...first busy relaxing and having conferences with the Monsters, making sure they're happy - you really don't want to be around an unhappy BeSpoke it's no fun at all!!

And then we've been having so much cake!! So many monsters adopted....here they are:

Long Time no Post!

Hello hello hello!

I know, it's been a while hasn't it?? I swear I have been crazy busy and not lazy!! :)

First things first, there are a couple of new hugs in my Etsy shop as well as a new BeSpoke! Here are some photos for you:

He thinks he has magical powers, above and beyond that of your average BeSpoke Long Monster...hmmm.

As always there are always more monsters and more hugs on their way...oh and some more BeSpoke Bunnie's too!!!

The reason for my crazy busyness was the Made by Hand show. It was a great success and totally fun! Okay I apologize, I didn't take any photos...I'm not entirely sure why...I should have I know, but I just didn't!!!

In any case there were monsters adopted and monsters petted and talked to and admired (which they always love!)

Oh and I have reverted (kind of) to the old style of my blog...I like it better...what do you think?

Okey dokey...I am off, actually I'm off off off for a one week vacation - much needed rest - but don't despair, there will be more monsters, very soon...the beguiling never really ends... :)

Hiya!

Happy Saturday! Well I'm stuck at work, but still it IS Saturday after all!

I have joined a wonderful team on Etsy called Santa's Elves, and Echo B.L. Monster has already been featured in a treasury from the team - how wonderful is that??? Here's the link:

Hiya and happy Friday!!

Okay so maybe I tricked you a little bit - the BeSpokes don't actually fly...not yet anyway! It's just that I can't seem to keep the BeSpoke Bunny Monsters in the store...they are very very popular so I have taken the rather large hint and I will be beguiling my little heart out all weekend in order to bring more of these guys to more of you! :)

Hiya and happy Tuesday!

It has been such a busy weekend over here at the studio...two monsters and a hug were sent on their way to their new homes, all excited and full of cake, more hugs appeared as well as a few more BeSpoke Longs. All eager to be adopted. So...first order of business - here are the new guys in my shop:

I haven't posted very much in the last few days, I'm telling you there were so many adoptions I am very well known at my post office now! :)

Well before I get to posting photos of the lucky adoptees, I just want to introduce a new BeSpoke Monster Hug. They are not as big or as particular as the other BeSpokes, but I think they deserve welcoming and a "hello" from us anyway...so here he is, the newest BeSpoke Hug:

The Bunnies are Hopping!!!

Good morning and happy Thursday!

Most of the news today is all about adoptions! - Yay!!!
There have been quite a few! Especially the BeSpoke Bunny Monsters, they just can't seem to stay in my Etsy shop for long at all!! So I thought I'd post their photos here, 'cause two of them came and went so quickly you may not have had the chance to meet them!!

So that's what I'll do, I'll start with the two Bunnies that have come and gone...first there was Jack B.B. Monster:

A very funny and charming little monster. :) On his way to a lovely home - and pretty crazy happy about it too!

Then there was Greg B.B. Monster, who just came into the shop yesterday and is gone as well!! Here's his photo:

So so sweet...sigh. Love these BeSpoke Bunnies!!

And now there is Apples B.B. Monster, now Apples has just gone into the shop over there at Etsy, and maybe if you hurry you'll be able to see all of the photos of him and read his bio. But here's one photo to get your curiosity peaked:

Cute huh? Yup these BeSpoke Bunny Monsters are definitley a hit! I barely have time to really get to know them and they're on their way to their new homes! And off the Bunny goes...

Hello and happy Friday!

It's a long weekend here, Thanksgiving! We've been having the best weather - it's been so beautiful, and this morning I saw two flocks of geese flying above my noisy old bus to work. :)

Okay so, the Bunny was here and now he's gone, I know so so quick, and it really took all I have not to keep him for myself - so cute! But never fear, as there is always another monster, there is always another BeSpoke Bunny Monster!

There will be more, they are this very minute acquainting themselves with my studio!.

As well as Jack B.B. Monster, Basil B. Monster was adopted yesterday, here's a photo:

Basil has been in the studio for quite some time now, he will be truly missed, BUT he's going on his journey with Jack AND Buffin ( who was adopted a little bit ago) so he's in good company and will have filled up on three cakes before hand. Gosh...I hope they don't get sick on the way....

So that's those guys, but wait - there's been another adoption - yup - Rudie B.L. Monster was adopted as well, his photo is just down the page a bit, but here's another one of him - just because he's pretty darned adorable:

Yes...it's time...time to meet the new BeSpoke...

Good morning and happy Thursday!

I will keep you in suspense no longer!! I am really excited to introduce you to the new hybrid BeSpoke Monster, so here he is Jack the BeSpoke Bunny Monster:

Now BeSpoke Bunny Monsters have only one ear...

BeSpoke Bunny Monsters also have one eye that's bigger and a different colour than the other...the colour varies.

It is said that in the 'hybrid' process, the little bunny-tail got lost, but most BeSpoke Bunny Monsters have a spot, somewhere on their body that most believe is reminiscent of the bunny tail.

BeSpoke Bunny Monsters are pretty similar to their Monster friends, they just have better hearing.

The above photograph is a rare one, BeSpoke Bunny Monsters hardly ever keep there ear straight up like that, it's just too darn loud!

And, BeSpoke Bunny Monsters have the same job as regular BeSpoke Monsters, they're just a little odd is all.

And there you have it. Jack B.B. Monster. He was the first of his kind that volunteered to be photographed and will be available in my Etsy shop very soon. Please welcome him, he's a little nervous.

Rudie B.L. Monster and News about Hybrid BeSpokes

Hello hello and happy Wednesday!

I have been a bit busy and a little under the weather, so it's been a few days since I've posted, but not to fear a new BeSpoke Monster is here! (yup I totally went for the silly rhyme :). Please welcome the always entertaining Rudie B.L. Monster:

Yup there's Rudie...sweet BeSpoke! His description and more photos are over there in my Etsy shop...just over there on the left...if you want to see and read more about him, and I think you do! :) Or if you just don't want to go all the way over to the left of your screen, just click on his photo - that will magically take you there too!

In other news, I realize that I've made everyone anxious for the unveiling of the new Hybrid BeSpoke - and I will not dissappoint, he will be featured here and in my Etsy shop tomorrow or Friday. I promise - I really do! I'm very excited to introduce this monster - very excited!! I hope you will love him too!

Okay, well back to the beguiling of BeSpokes for me - there's no rest for BeSpoke Wranglers...

A new BeSpoke - finally!!

Hello happy people!

Well that's kind of presumptuous of me isn't it...I mean I don't know for a fact that you are happy do I? Well I think that if I assume that you are, you won't be too offended right?

It is another rainy Thursday in September, and busy as I've been with non-monster stuff I love this weather and it makes me want to 'beguile' even more than usual! - hmmm that does sound a little strange..but oh well.

I have added a new BeSpoke Monster to my Etsy Shop. No, it's not the long awaited Hybrid...that monster won't be showing his face until early next week (thank you all for being so patient!). Nope this is Dinsdale B.L. Monster (he's the one responsible for all the yelping you may be hearing):

There he is...another handsome monster! If you want to read all about Dinsdale and see more photos of him, just do the thing everyone is doing! Go on over to my Etsy page, it's just over there to the left of your screen, see it there? All you have to do is click and you will be instantly transported to my shop - almost as impressive as a Dr. Who episode - no? Well maybe not...but still it's pretty cool.
