Acolyte, Master or Sorcerer level  – which spell to choose?

Which one is right for you?

Then there are also the in-betweens, like Advanced Acolyte and Advanced Master spells – so which is the best one for your situation?

The first thing you will notice – of course, is that the higher level spells are always more expensive. That should be no surprise.

But there is of course much more to it than money.

Acolyte level spells are quick, easy to do with minimum of preparation and some very basic equipment and materials.  A complete novice will have no problem casting them even if it is their first foray into Magic or spell casting.

Take for instance a “Business venture success” spell, which in Acolyte form requires nothing more than a candle of a specific color, incense and an incense burner, small brass bell and a green felt-tipped pen. Time-wise perhaps twenty minutes to cast.

The same spell in Advanced Master level will require you to source some specific equipment and materials, and a fair bit of preparation. If you don’t have any prior spell casting experience, you will have to practice casting a Magic circle couple of times at least, before you try to cast the spell itself. You might also be given a low level spell to practice on, before you attempt the Master or Advanced Master level. So unless you already have some magic equipment and have been involved in spells and rituals before, count on a week of on-and-off running around and preparations.

The better the quality of your equipment and Magic substances, the better the chance of a successful spell outcome. Read the articles on the blog to learn about importance and the role of tools and ingredients.  (Actually – read ALL of the articles you find there, and you will learn a great deal about Magic in general.) Prior experience in magic rituals and spell casting is of course also very important.

Yes, you can attempt to cast a high level spell even if you never cast any spells before. It will not do any harm to you, or to the subject matter. It just might not work very well, or not at all, unless you do a lot of prior learning, preparation and practicing.

You can’t cast a Sorcerer level spell using dried out herbs you bought from 7/11, like you used for the Acolyte level.  You will need fresh herbs, preferably organically grown.  You might need a genuine quill or dip-in type of pen and a Dragon Blood magic ink (obtainable from magic supply stores), where for the Acolyte level of the same spell, you used a red or green felt-tipped pen.

For a court appearance relating to a traffic offense such as speeding or red light jumping, an Acolyte level spell is probably what you need. Even as a wizard of great experience, that’s what I would cast myself. (OK, I would of course use my trusted old tolls and high quality ingredients, because I have them.)

Where you were caught driving intoxicated and are risking losing your driving license, a Master level spell would be more appropriate.

And if you have been accused of a serious crime and are out on bail, or where you are entering into a multimillion dollar legal compensation claim, you should seriously consider a Sorcerer’s level spell, even if it takes you a few days to gather the required equipment and do a fair bit of study, preparation and practicing.

Acolyte, Master or Sorcerer level

First of all, welcome to the fraternity of people, who take Magic seriously. Those, who believe. And that is the first step of making your spells effective. Believing, that they will work.

But when you say, that you “want to make sure, that the spell works every time . .  .”, this is when we are getting onto a tricky ground.

Spells and Magic are not really at our command. A spell is more than a prayer, but it can never be guaranteed. Everything depends on circumstances.

When you cast a spell, you are in fact sending a request to the Universal Force,  asking it to intervene on your behalf. To help you.

As with any other message:

• It needs to be clear and understandable. To the  point.
• It needs to be loud enough to be audible in all the  clutter of other broadcasts on the same wavelength.
• It needs to present itself as genuine and not  frivolous.

It may interfere with other people’s wishes or  spells, which are not compatible with yours. Which one will the  Force choose, which ones will  be ignored?

When a witch or a wizard casts a spell, they usually “raise power”, by chanting, singing, even dancing in a rhythm. A coven of experienced witches, chanting and rhythmically swaying together in unison can raise an amazing vortex of power, which – to an outsider – is hard to imagine or believe. That power is then thrust forward into the spell, and the coven members “ground” themselves, usually by placing palms of their hands onto the bare earth.

For a novice to try to “raise power” in this way is not possible. It would take a lot of instructions, training and practice.

So when the spell is being cast by a relative novice, or when the novice is releasing a spell formulated and prepared by a witch (or wizard), it is better to send out a pure, raw emotion.

To project more emotion into the spell requires a bit of practice.

You know what you want the spell to achieve. Close your eyes and WISH for it to come true!  I mean – really, really, wish for it to happen.  Gather the feelings inside you, think about your wish and nothing else, think hard and with all the emotion you can muster. Push that emotion out through your closed eyelids. Out, out, far away, into the Universe.

Try it.

It is hard to describe exactly how to do it, but I usually end up with my brain and head vibrating and getting all in cold shivers. Few seconds of such intense concentration can actually quite exhaust you. With practice, you can start feeling more and more of that enormous power building up and when released, poring out of you. Through your eyelids and into the Universe, like a beacon of light from a lighthouse. Don’t worry about where it is aimed at. Just send it out in a burst. It  will be seen, it  will penetrate through all that clutter of other emotions, other messages. Concentrate on intensity first and foremost, then only on duration.

So it figures that the more emotional you can get when the spell is being cast, the better result you can expect. That you have to BELIEVE in the power of magic, is of course given, because if you wouldn’t believe, you could not send out any meaningful emotion.

As for the “guarantee” – there is of course none. But Magic DOES work!

Emotion and Magic

A student recently asked me a question….The question is, every time I meditate, there is always a song playing in my mind in the background that prevents me from achieving silence. Do u have a way or technique to make it disappear?

My Answer:

Hearing the same song in your meditation every time would be quite significant. It would mean, that you are getting some sort of message from somewhere, from someone. Because when you start freeing your mind to accept what is “out there”, you are naturally receptive to any message that is “waiting at the door” for you – so to speak.
You need to examine where the song comes from, what does it mean to you. When did you first hear it? Does it bring an association to any person or event in your past? Such a persistent message would have a definite purpose to remind you or alert you to something.

If on the other hand, you hear just any music, there could be a bit of a problem here.

Do you habitually listen to music on your iPod, music in your car, music while you work or study?

Many young people do these days, and they think that it’s cool. They can’t live a minute without music in the background. I don’t want to pass judgements about how it possibly effects quality of their study, or their work, but I know that it is detrimental to their brain’s deep and proper thinking capability.

Don’t take me wrong. I love listening to music. Not just any music, and not all the time. I sit down, play some thing I know I enjoy on a really good system, close my eyes, and listen. Yes, I LISTEN to the music. I like to hear every little nuance. I actually tune into the music. I see patterns of that music in my mind. I absorb it completely. It doesn’t have to be “classical” music. I don’t actually appreciate classical music. But that’s me.

When you have music playing in your background most of the time, you don’t really listen to it. It’s just there, loading itself into your subconsciousness and preventing you from engaging your brain in any deep thinking, or “free thinking” activity.

People who meditate – think of a yogi sitting in the lotus position for several days meditating. Can you imagine him with his iPod playing music into his ear?

To meditate, or to think deeply, like a philosopher or a mathematician, chess player, scientist, artist . .  would think when they concentrate, you have to cut out all the distractions. But if your brain is used to habitually being bombarded by music, or any other outside entertainment, thinking becomes difficult.

There are not many people these days, who can actually “think”. They think that they do, but they don’t. They get bored when they are alone, when it’s quiet, when the TV and the music, and the flashing lights are all switched off. They get bored, because they can’t think by themselves. It’s tragic!

I spoke to a young lady the other day, telling her about my trip to a National Park, where I was camping for four days, and never saw another person, never saw or heard a motor vehicle. Just wind in the trees, running water now and then, birds chirping. My own footsteps on the forest floor.

This young woman was horrified!

She said she could never, NEVER be all alone for even half a day without something happening around her. Without people, music, TV, computer screen . . .mobile phone.

I told her I didn’t even had my iPhone with me, so I couldn’t get or send any calls or messages. I didn’t wanted to.

What on earth was I doing all the time? – She asked.

I was thinking. No, not even meditating. Just letting thoughts wander through my head. For four days.

She just shook her head. She couldn’t do it. It would be a torture, she said.

Well, that’s the sign of our times, and many, many young people are like that. Constantly in need of stimulation by something. Someone. Anything, but quietly and leisurely thinking.

To me, there is no better entertainment then getting “lost in my thoughts”.

Anyone who happens to be one of those unfortunate people who need external entertainment all the time, even if it is as poor as some non-descript background music played on low quality device, will have problems meditating. They will have problems thinking!

I hope, that you are not one of those people.

If you do listen to music a lot, and you want to meditate now and then, you will first have to learn how to be quiet, to just sit and think. To let your mind wonder. Try two or three hours of just sitting in an absolutely quiet place, close your eyes, and don’t do anything. Don’t fall asleep! Just sit there and see what happens.

If you start doing that regularly, and cut out as much of the background stimulation from your everyday life, you will discover a completely amazing world inside your mind. In your subconscious.

Meditation and Magic

Magic is Magic. White or Dark, it all operates on the same principle. The spell caster connects with the Universal Force, and  requests help in one way or another. And as every other thing in the Universe, this force has the white side, and the dark side.

You can’t have light without darkness. You can’t have heat without cold. You can’t have top, without a bottom. You can’t have white magic, without the dark one.

So of course, some magic spells are considered to be good (protection, love, healing,  . . . ) and these are classified as white magic spells, while others are concerned with curses, harm, causing sickness or loss of something, . . . . These are of course in the dark magic, or Dark Arts category.

During the European Dark Ages, it was recognised, that all magic comes from either God, or Evil.  Since the only way to communicate with God was supposed to be through the church and her appointed priests, all magic practitioners, whether witches, druids, herbalists, alchemists, etc were thrown into the same bag with the evil force.

Or, more likely, into the same fire, to be burned and consumed.

Anything that didn’t come  to you through the church, had to be bad. Good luck spells? You were supposed to be pious and don’t ask for anything more than what you already had (unless you were a king, bishop, or a wealthy knight). All others had to be content with their allocated station in life.

What was lost to humanity in those witch hunts, is beyond comprehension. Ancient magic spells concerning love and protection, recipes for healing potions and even basic medical skills of repairing dislocated joints and broken bones went up in smoke with thousands upon thousands of witches, who were burned at stake, in the name of  . . . .? ?   Better not to think about it, because it surely was not done at the request of the white power.

You now know, why they were called Dark Ages. Dark power actually reigned, as gruesome executions were on everyday’s entertainment menu. The more the self appointed guardians of the true faith tried to fight the dark force, the darker they themselves were becoming.

What happened to the “Thou shalt not kill” in those days?

All manner of magic and magic spells had to hide for many hundreds of years. The Dark Lord and his henchmen were everywhere, looking for any old woman, who would try to ease your pain – physical or emotional – with a simple magic spell, some herbs, and a bit of balm made from natural substances.

Such was the grip of the dark force on society in those days that lot of it survives in our subconsciousness even today. So that’s why, when we speak about a witch these days, we have to quickly say that she is a White witch. That she practices White magic. To make sure that she will not be condemned.

That’s why people ask for “white magic spells”, to make sure they are not misunderstood and burned at stake.

Sad – isn’t it?

But that’s how it goes in the world of Magic. White, or Dark.

White Magic Spells

How do you charm someone with a simple invocation?  Do charm spells really work?

There are two fundamental ways in which the charm spells do their magic:

• You cast a magic spell, which is trying to influence the other person’s thinking into all of a sudden liking your personality type and appearance.

• You try to mask your real personality and character, to appear to be different, more pleasant to the target.

Which one is better suited to your need? It all depends on who you are, and how you are perceived by the other people. Also on whom are you trying to charm, and for what purpose.

Some people are naturally charming and well regarded. Some, because they are genuinely good, pleasant, fun and . . . , others, who only appear to be so.

Politicians and used car salesmen are very good customers for magic Charm spells. So are teenagers, trying to get noticed by the person they have a crush on.

Charm spells for teenagers are definitely in the White magic category, while those woven by politicians and salesmen tend to drift a bit into deception and therefore the darker side of things.

Charm spells are easy to perform, and you can buy a variety of them online. Some are even genuine spells, conceived and performed by practicing witches or wizards. Some are not so good, and designed to charm you into thinking that the person out there on the other side of the internet web is actually going to cast the spell for you, as soon as you click the “pay here” button.

Personally, I would rather buy a “Do-it –yourself” type of charm spell, with all the instructions included, and I would cast it myself, and in the direction of the person I want to charm.

It is much safer, much more effective, and definitely much more fun, than wondering if the wizard promising to cast it for you is genuine. Once he / she has your money, will they actually cast the spell?  Will they bother?

I hope they would. But there are many “used spell salespeople” out there. So beware what you are buying, and from whom!

Ancient Spells – Why are they held in such high esteem? Why should they be more powerful then modern spells?

The Universe itself is very old. Time, modernity, fashion, “the latest trends” – those things mean nothing to the Universe.

But it does recognise old, familiar ancient spell patterns more readily, and reacts faster and stronger to them than it would to some new invention.

That’s why ancient spells, which were used by thousands of powerful spell casters over thousands of years, will produce better and faster results. (If they are done exactly right.)

Ancient spells were often simple spells, but fine tuned. They were like today’s advertising slogans. Brilliantly descriptive and to the point. The best of the best human minds have perfected them over hundreds or thousands of years. They draw on the power of equally ancient symbols, words and gestures, the origins of which are today mostly forgotten. These spells were coined in languages long extinct, rituals no longer comprehensible, emotional connections not understood or bothered with.

But when you would come across and cast such an ancient spell with honest belief, emotion and dedication, the Universe would instantly recognise the old and familiar pattern. It instantly understands the purpose and the need. And it answers with a speed and intensity, which is not comparable to anything new and untested.

Ancient Spells

All spells are actually simple.  They all involve the same principle. The caster of the spell is sending a message to the Universe of his /her need or desire.

If all goes well, the Universe will answer by providing an outcome, which is much more potent, because it multiplies the energy invested by the spell caster.

Lots of energy cast out, means great power of the outcome.

A simple spell, or a complicated spell  – that should not make much difference. It all depends on how much energy you are able to send out. The advantage of a complicated and prolonged spell, is that it allows the spell caster to project her / his energy for a much longer time span, therefore increasing the quantity of it.

So it is not the complexity of the spell, which makes so much difference.

It is the Experience and psychic power of the spell caster  X (times)  the emotional energy and dedication demonstrated during the casting of the spell,  X  the total time the spell caser is really concentrating and outpouring her / his powers into the Universe.

Therefore:

A more experienced spell caster is able to harness a lot of his energy and to also concentrate for a longer period of time.

The spell caster who is personally involved and dependent on the outcome, the one who is in great need and casting the spell for himself / herself, will of course be able to input a lot of emotion. That’s why casting your own spell is so effective, even if you are not so good at it ,as an experienced wizard would be.

The quality of materials and equipment used in the casting of the spell also comes into the picture here, because they demonstrate how serious and dedicated the spell caster is about it all. They also harness, reflect and multiply the emotional energy sent out.

A very simple spell, which takes only a few moments to cast (such as you often see in movies) doesn’t give much time for the message to gather strength. That’s why only an extremely powerful and experienced wizard / witch / druid can achieve a really spectacular outcome in almost an instant.

A novice, especially one who doesn’t have much experience in concentrating his energy, will need much more time to project enough emotion outwards. As we all know, repetition doesn’t lend itself easily to maintaining highly emotional state. That’s why simple spells cast by an acolyte will need many repetitions, but not all on the same day. (It’s called “practice”.)

The complexity of the spell helps the caster to keep focused on what they are doing. It stops the mind from wandering away from the task

Take for instance a Business venture success spell, which in Acolyte form requires nothing more than a candle of a specific color, incense and incense burner, a small brass bell and a green felt-tipped pen. Time-wise perhaps twenty minutes. The same spell in Advanced Master category will require acquiring some more specific equipment and materials, and a bit of preparation.

You don’t need any prior spell casting experience, but you will have to practice casting a Magic circle couple of times at least, before you try to cast the spell itself. You might also be given a low level spell to practice on. The better the quality of your equipment and Magic substances, the better the chance of a success.

You can’t cast a Sorcerer’ spell using dried out herbs you bought from your local 7/11. You will need fresh herbs, preferably organically grown.

You might need a quill or dip-in type of pen and a Dragons Blood magic ink (easily obtainable from magic suppliers), where for the Acolyte level of the same magic spell, you used a red or green felt-tipped pen. For a court appearance relating to a traffic offense such as speeding or light jumping, an Acolyte spell is probably what you need.

Where you were caught driving intoxicated and are at risk of losing your license, a Master level spell would be more appropriate. If you have been accused of a serious crime and are out on bail, or where you are entering into a million dollar legal compensation claim, you should consider a Sorcerer’s level spell, even if it takes you a few days to gather the required equipment and do a bit of practicing.

Which Magic Spell to choose?

Yes, you can get them. And they do work, even if not necessarily the way you might expect. That’s how it goes with all magic spells.

We all know, that you get money (legally) in one of three ways:

1. You inherit it
2. You work hard for it
3. You get lucky. Very lucky.

When you are looking at any spells for money, you are of course looking at the third category. You are trying to attract some luck, through the use of a magic spell..  And again, there are several different categories of those spells. You, or the wizard you are employing to cast the spell for money can try to attract:

• Gambling luck
• A lottery win luck
• Unexpected “finders” luck
• Business luck
• Investment luck

So when you are looking for a spell for money, you need to know what sort of luck you think would work the best for you. If you are a gambler, you will probably be after a gambling luck spell, but if your business venture is not going well, you will need luck which will improve your cash flow and generate more income for yourself.

Since all luck is basically of a magical nature, casting spells for money is usually very simple and very effective.

Get someone to cast the spell for you, or buy and cast the spell yourself. The second option is always preferable because it will leave the magical force in no doubt as to who seeks the money, and what their situation is.  No use to attract luck in a lottery, if you never buy any lottery tickets. If you have someone else cast the spell for you, especially when you are not present during the ritual, you never know what is going to happen. Do they really know your situation?

Spells for Money

There are not too many witchcraft books that are worth the paper they are printed on. Some are written purely for profit by people who never even met a real witch.  So check out the author, and their background, before you purchase a witchcraft book with the intention of casting  magic spells from it.

The witches of old were regularly burned at the stake, so they didn’t advertise themselves as such, never mind  publishing witchcraft books, notes and recipes. As a result, lot of their knowledge was lost with them.

Modern witches are generally still rather misunderstood, because the general public still considers them to be dabbling in black and nasty magic, despite the fact that witchcraft from ancient times was mostly concerned  with healing.

Even love spells, relationship spells, protection spells and luck related spells, which the witches of old used to employ, were of course, types of healing spells. Healing of the soul is just as important as the healing of the body. Only lately are we slowly coming back to that realization.

Good modern witchcraft books are few and far between.  You find more of those, which poke fun at witchcraft as such, then the really serious ones, written by someone with experience and love for the subject.

Other witchcraft books try to revive the dark and evil side of witchcraft, with magic spells designed to harm, curse,  or limit someone’s ability.  Written by completely misguided people, with no understanding of witchcraft and its true purpose, such witchcraft books should be avoided. Luckily, being formulated by outsiders of the craft, their magic spells don’t work, because they are bogus.

A true witch would never consider writing such a book, because the only thing it can  harm is witchcraft perception and acceptance in today’s society.  And that ground is still very, very shaky.

Witchcraft Books

I am responding here to a query from a reader “Where and how do I find witchcraft shops?”

The answer is – there are not many, and yet again, they are everywhere.

It all depends, on what you want to buy in a witchcraft shop.  Magic spells in scrolls? Cauldrons, magic wands, cloaks, pointed hats,  silver bells, . . .  No problem. Dragon blood ink or Dove blood ink, owl feathers?  No problem.  Bat wings, newt eyes, green slime . . I wouldn’t want to know, and if I did, I wouldn’t want to tell you. Such stuff is more in the realm of dark arts, and not witchcraft.

Witchcraft is, and always has been used predominantly for “white magic”. For healing, protection, success and love spells.  For helping people with their everyday problems, not turning them into frogs.

And all the materials you need for that type of magic spells, you can obtain in many shops of different names, of which there are several in every major city . It’s just that they don’t call themselves Witchcraft shops. They are hippie and meditation, holistic and herbalist shops, which of course sell crystals and crystal balls, tarot cards, incense, yes – even whole spell kits in a packet or a little box.  I don’t know of any “chain” , like an equivalent to KFC would be. It could be called UWCS – for  United Witchcraft Shops. But there aren’t any that I know of.

Mostly they are located somewhere in a side-lane, where the rent is not too prohibitive. You have to know where to look, or ask around. Look in the yellow pages of your city and be imaginative with names.

Another good alternative is of course the Internet. Google Magic shops, Magic supplies, or even Witchcraft shops, and be surprised. I have purchased from Amazon and found them very reliable, and now that vendors can sell through them the choice is amazing. Some of my picks are featured below.

Witchcraft Shops

What do I mean by magic products? I am talking about  pre-made incenses and candles, all the wands and crystals and potions and supplies that you need to cast a magic spell.  How powerful and helpful are all those magic products? It, of course, depends on who made them, and with what intentions. You can imagine that if you came across an ancient little chest of magic products, once made by Merlin himself for his own personal use, they would be good. Very good.  You would think.

Similar looking magic products made on a massive robotic conveyor line somewhere in a non-descript factory and untouched by human hands, never mind any practicing magician’s hand – would be less effective.

You bet! You could guess that such magic products were made with one sole purpose – of making money for the manufacturer. But that is not necessarily such a bad thing. Because – what if the genuine magic product maker was an evil magician, who infused the product with their own evil will?

Aha!  I am sure you would want to stay away from those!

In the end, of course it’s you, the witch or the magician, who puts their own personal power and conviction into a successful spell.  And you don’t necessarily need magic products with lot of past history embedded into them.  I would much rather have a good magic product made by a good person, or even a commercial product of good quality, then something with a lot of unknown history. It is then a clean slate into which you can infuse your own energy.

I have bought plenty from Amazon over the years and always found them to be reliable, and now with vendors selling through them, there is amazing choice.

Beeswax Candles

For any serious magic work, you will probably need to light a candle. It’s not really the candle itself you need – it’s the flame burning from it you want – it represents the element Fire.

Another element on your Altar is the smoke of the incense (Air). The other two (Earth and Water) you use to create a Magic Circle.

So Candle Magic is actually  Fire Magic. It’s the essence of fire, which you are using to create those powerful candle magic spells.

It makes sense, that you need to have a good, steady flame, for your candle magic to be effective.

• Store your candles in a cupboard or a box – never in direct sunlight. They would discolor, warp and generally deteriorate.
• Before you light a candle, remove any paper wrapping that it might have.
• Make sure that the wick is no longer than 1/2 in (6 mm), otherwise it will not burn properly.
• Always light the candle with proper, wooden matches.
• Always extinguish the lit mach by flicking it sideways, never by blowing on it.
• Have your Altar arranged so that there is no draft over it. It would cause the candle to burn unevenly.
• If the flame starts to flicker, you might need to trim the wick.
• If you need to kill the flame, snuff it by placing a special cone tool – if you have one, or use something like a flat blade over the flame. Never blow off the flame – it would scatter your breath into the flame and disperse with it into the Four Corners.
• Pinch the wick in your fingers afterward (you can lick them first) to make sure it is completely extinguished and say loud the purpose for which you are doing it.
• Your candle magic is ready to flame.

Is there such as thing as easy money spell ?  It  depends on many things.
You might think that with a magic spell on your side, everything should be easy. Then again – conjuring successful easy money spells is a matter of choice.

Easy Money

Creating money in it’s physical form such as banknotes from thin air would require extremely high level wizardry, of which there are probably only a few people in the world capable of doing it.

Even the ancient alchemists didn’t attempt to create gold from nothing. Their preferred way was to convert one element (lead) into another (gold).

One might be tempted to think that manipulating bits of data in cyberspace to increase your bank balance should be relatively easy, if you employ magic. The problem is, that the old occult magicians didn’t know about cyberspace, and so they didn’t device anything for us to follow, or to deal with it. Modern wizards of that realm are called hackers, and while their “spells” can surely bring them a lot of easy money, the methods they employ are highly illegal. There’s more robbery involved, then magic.

So a good and successful easy money spell needs to concentrate on attracting luck to you, rather then risking a jail sentence. The luck will then bring you money in an easy way. And luck has never been declared illegal.

There are three basic types of easy money spells, which don’t involve cheating or theft:

•    Attracting luck in gambling, lottery or risky investments,
•    Attracting luck in discoveries, finding or coming across precious objects, and
•    Luck in business or trading endeavours.

In this way, the easy money spells are all related to luck spells. Where you choose to direct your luck, is up to you to decide.

Magic colored candles

There are candles, and then there are candles.  You can perform candle magic with any cheap candle, even the cheap ones in the bulk buy containers, that sell by the packet of a dozen or more, – but of course, as with everything else, if you want a great result, you should have the best quality.

So what quality do we look for in a candle, which we intend to use in candle magic?

Hand made candles, and especially bees-wax candles are best for any candle magic. Yet – the most important thing is, that the candle is brand new, that means – it was never lit before. That is an absolute must. You can only use one candle for one purpose.
Some candle magic spells call for lighting and extinguishing (snuffing out) the candle several times, often over several days. But it is within the same candle magic spell. Once it is finished, the candle will never be used again for anything else.

If your intended candle magic spell requires you to write something on the candle itself, or to scratch a magic symbol into the side of it with your boline (a white-handled ritual knife, a magical tool used in spell casting), you need to choose a candle which is at least 3in (8cm) tall, if not more.

As for the color of the candle itself, that is of course extremely important too. A good candle shop or magic supply shop will have a great selection.

I like using pure bees wax candles, which usually come only in their natural yellowish color, so I have to color them myself.  You can do it by coating them with crushed semi precious stone dust or sand of the appropriate color. Slowly warm the candle up for a few hours, so it becomes quite soft. Then coat it with an essential oil of the kind you want to use in your particular candle magic spell, then spread a layer of the pigmented sand on a hard surface and firmly roll the candle across, pressing the dust into the soft wax. Magic!

These days you can get absolutely anything on E-bay, and if not, then definitely from a number of numerous on-line witchcraft supply merchants.

Magic Eye

Of course, nothing beats a visit to an old and  trusted magic supply shop, where you can not only get the magic supplies you need, but you can see a lot of things you never even heard of before.

After a few visits you establish trust and understanding with the resident witch or wizard, and she or he can give you lot of good advice.

Then again – online you may find much better selection of  magic supplies and tools, and often at much better prices.  Of course, you don’t see the merchant herself/himself, and they could not be a genuine and trustworthy person. It could be just about any fake item they are selling  you. So choose your on-line magic supplier carefully, and start slowly. Buy a few simple things from them and see what you get.

A very cheap price is often an indication of supplies that are not genuine. And a big Magic Supply Supermarket will have mass produced merchandise, not hand made or rare.

A merchant who specializes in only a few magic lines – let’s say incense, or crystals, will more likely have genuine articles. Try contacting them to ask for advice.  If they are willing to talk to you, that’s a good sign of being a real dedicated supplier of magic goods, and not some con artist, selling fakes.

Magic Supplies

If you are serious about casting magic spells and magic in general, you will soon find that acquiring some simple magic equipment is a must.

You can of course go to your nearest magic supply shop and come home with an armful of packets and boxes containing brand new magic wands, owl feathers, incense burners, silver goblets etc.

Now I am not against everything new, but in magic, an item with some history will have a personality of its own, and will bring it’s own special vibe into your ritual.

That’s why you can get beautiful silver goblets, candle holders, incense burners, glass balls and ceramic bowls in brick-brack shops, charity stalls and flea markets. Make sure you clean them well after you bring them home, handle them lovingly for some time, and consecrate them with the four elements as well as your own personality before you use them.

Yes, you could end up with some magic equipment, which has a bad, or sad history and bad vibes in them. It is very rare, and you would soon get the feeling, that you are not comfortable with an item. If that happens, discard it and don’t use it. But generally, with such non-essential and peripheral magical equipment such as bowls, goblets, candle holders, it’s usually much better to acquire old, rather than brand new. The older, the better.

There are of course exceptions. Never buy a used magic wand, or an athame.  If you get one from a friend, or inherit one from someone you know well, that would be fine. But Magic wands and athames have a lot of power of the original owner stored in them. That magic power might not be compatible with yours. So get new ones, consecrate and initiate them yourself.

Magic Equipment

Every wizard, witch or druid has his or her trusted magic spell book. Together with an athame, magic wand and a cauldron. Only the pointed witches hat seems to be more symbolic of someone who works with magic, than the good old enormously heavy magic book or Grimoire.

A Magic spell book doesn’t need to be ancient and dusty. You can (and should) make your own, if you are serious about trying to bring some magic into your everyday life.

Hand written on pergamon , leather bound and gold embossed type, looks of course, very impressive, but the best modern version is a good office type ring file, with see through plastic pockets. You can decorate the cover by pasting (gluing) paper or cloth over it. Some wallpapers look magic, and you can often get a free sample from a supplier.

A Scrap booking specialty shop is another place where you can find beautiful and ancient looking paper sheets, as well as a variety of stars, moons, and other decorative stickers and embellishments.

Since we usually print the spells these days on an office printer, you can again decorate the individual spell sheets with stamps and stickers, before inserting them into the pockets of your very own Magic Spell Book.

Magic Wand

It’s rude to point a finger at anybody – we all know that. How about pointing a crystal magic wand at a person, while muttering something under your breath? That would freak them out!

It would also indicate to you, that they do believe in magic, never mind how they might deny it. When you point with your finger, that finger sends out a beam of concentrated energy, like a torch sends out a beam of searching light. Put a good magic wand into that same hand, and the energy beam gets concentrated and amplified by the wand, it acts like a laser. Cutting through space. Precise, and extremely powerful. That’s why every wizard or witch should have a magic wand, one which they know well, and which holds and stores lots of vested magic energy of its own.

It doesn’t need to be a crystal magic wand. Some of the best working wands are made of plain hard or exotic wood, with perhaps a silver tip, or even a bronze or silver core. Such a magic wand may look deceptively simple, but it can multiply the magic power of the wizard or witch many, many times over.

If you want a magic wand for serious magic spell casting, you should get one which is not too ornate and difficult to wave around. Remember, that the most powerful secrets are usually hidden in the plainest and least conspicuous of places.

Magic Wands

Children are very open to their imagination and when sleeping are far more able to connect to other worlds than we are as adults. When my daughter was small she had terrible nightmares. We gave an imaginary magic bottle of spray and she was able to carry this with her in her dreams. When she saw anything she was afraid of she could spray it with the magic potion and it dissolved to nothing. She loved the power that this gave her and was in control of her own dreams. Until today, at the age of 22, she is able to use this magic potion when sleeping and banish away anything she does not like.

Protection Spell for Children

Many spells use incense to increase the power of the spell, incense is the air element of a spell. You can make your own magical incense using herbs, flowers, woods and resins. The perfumed smoke given off sweetens and freshens the air and enhances your mood and power. Granular incense which has a base of resins and gums is the type most preferred for magic. It is different from the usual cones or sticks that you can buy just about anywhere.

Spells Incense Burner

If you are casting a spell you can easily burn your own mixture that is made for that particular spell. All you need is an incense burner and charcoal discs to place the incense on. Choose your burner carefully as it will become an important magical tool. You light the charcoal and place it in your receptacle and sprinkle your incense onto the burning coal. You can control how much or little smoke is created in this way. This type of incense has been used for thousands of years and was used in Egypt to honor the Gods and is still used in churches today.

When a recipe calls for a part it means that whatever measure you use, you should use that for all ingredients. If you a making a lot you may use a cup, if a little you may use a teaspoon. Use dried ingredients when the recipe calls for herbs. To make the actual incense you will need a pestle and mortar in which to grind the ingredients. They need to ground as fine as possible and while you do so think of your intent as this will introduce your own personal vibration. As you add each ingredient say,

” May this herb (resin/oil) enhance the power
Of this offering for the spirit of Air”.

Spells Incense

What is money without love? Not much fun if you have loads of money and no-one to share and enjoy it with. Love and Money spells go hand in hand, first comes the money and then the love, or is it the other way around? No matter once you have found your love you can go about attracting money into your life.

Money Spell

Now Money Spells and Love Spells should not be done at the same time, there will be too much going on for either to work properly. Green is the color for attracting money and pink is the color for attracting love so a spell using two colors may not work. It’s also important to cast a specific Magic Spell during the right Moon phase. A Love Spell is best cast during the Full Moon. Spell casting to increase  prosperity and attract wealth should ideally be done when the Moon is waxing, which is when it’s going from from New Moon to Full Moon.

Rather focus on any  magical working whole heartedly, use the correct  ingredients, potions and wording or you will only achieve half hearted results. For your spell to have the best chance of manifesting, focus on one thing at a time. Get the most important things done first and then work on attracting the rest to you. As with any Magic Spells your intent needs to be clear, don’t dilute your Love Spell or Money Spell by mixing them together. Get the $1.000 first and then you will enough to take your loved one out on some very special dates. Or get that some-one special into your life and work on the money part together.

Magic Spells Improve Your Life

When you use a Money Spell you may get the wealth coming to you in an unexpected way. Make sure you are very specific when you cast a money spell or you may have money coming to you from somewhere you don’t want it to come from. The Universe likes to play tricks and if you don’t state exactly how and where your newfound wealth originates from you may end up surprised.

This happened to me when I asked for money and did a spell that involved a green candle, green being the color of money. The money I conveniently found myself earning through some unexpected work disappeared from another place I had been keeping some in reserve for an emergency. The Universe obviously thought the emergency had arrived and created a situation where I was forced to use it! So what I gained I also lost through another situation arising.

Turns out I could have done without the money I conjured up and just used the money I had squirreled away. The Universe likes abundance and there is plenty to go around but it can also be pretty thrifty and uses up what it sees as being wasted. So when attracting more abundance to yourself through a money spell, be very specific as to what it’s for and what it will be used for, make sure that the Universe does not take the opportunity to just rearrange what you already have.

When you cast a Love Spell you need to concentrate on how you want to feel when that Magic Spell succeeds. When you are casting a Love Spell you want to capture the warmth and feeling of contentment that comes from having a special person in your life. You want to focus on all the good things that sharing your life with another brings. A Love Spell is not something that can be used to bind another person to you. The goal of a Love Spell is to attract the right person to you or to help a certain person see you in a different light.

Using herbs for Love Spells is common practice. Herbs stimulate the brain and through a chemical reaction increase hormone production. The use of essential oils is one way of casting a Love Spell. Certain smells will induce a chemical reaction between two people and help induce a good feeling between them. Some herbs used for Love Spells are ginger, damiana, ylang-ylang, patchouli, sandalwood, rose and violets. Burning essential oils and scented candles has long been a favourite when setting the scene for a Love Spell.

When casting a spell remember emotion is the carrier of all the Universe’s messages. It’s the magical broadband. The service provider. The Emotion-on-line.

Can you imagine a druid or a witch finishing their lunch, wiping their chin with a napkin and quickly going to cast a couple of spells before their favorite TV sitcom comes on?  Do you think they would work well? Would that approach inspire  confidence in you?

When you imagine a wizard or shaman casting his spell, they are always in a sort of trance. They have been preparing and meditating for many hours and by now are deep in thought of their own. They are on another plane. They are very emotional, obsessed with what they are doing.

It’s that deep emotion, which carries away prayers, cries for help and Magic Spells.

Without the appropriate amount of concentrated, genuine emotion, even a very powerful spell will not travel far enough to be heard and answered.

So next time you are casting a spell, remember to be very, very serious about it. Feel the pain the spell is going to cure. Feel the love you are trying to attract. Feel the desperate need for the business venture to succeed.

Then, and only then, send away the spell loaded with your energy, on the wings of that emotion.
