Overcoming Procrastination to Avoid Fearing Life's Next Move

2026-05-01T05:23:24.198-07:00

Do you get anxious going to work? Postpone academic assignments until the night before a dreadful deadline? Experience stress racing through projects? Feel a need for perfectionism? Procrastination is a challenging time management problem that denies countless people progress, success, and dreams.

Time management is one of the most important life skills to develop and maintain. If we lack discipline to remain consistent, we will likely struggle to start new projects. The fear of success, fear of failure, fear of criticism, fear of the unknown, and fear of rejection can make tasks, projects, assignments, and workloads appear like large mountains.

Just imagine free climbing El Capitan without any expert assistance? As anticipation builds, fear grows, and anxiety kicks in, our stress response immediate activates fight mode to power through difficult situations.

Do you remember your public speaking presentations? Most students panic to give a presentation out of fear. They may assume their peers are judging their intelligence. There is a social stigma connected with being smart and right as opposed to appearing unintelligent and wrong: Embarrassment is the ultimate humiliation.

The secret to overcoming procrastination is accepting that we are not perfect. At the end of the day, we are human beings who have flaws. It took me a decade to finally read a book that could have saved my dream. Once we realize that time is racing forward with or without us, we will respond with urgency.

"Overcoming Procrastination: Practice The Now Habit And Guilt Free Play" by Neil A. Fiore is a powerful time management, personal growth, and self-help book filled with life gems. I purchased this book at a Barnes & Noble in Valencia, California during my UCSB college days. Unfortunately, I only skimmed pages--never committing to fully reading pages in this valuable life manual.

After my recent tech job ended, I flipped a mental switch on to engage. At this exact moment in time, I completed 86 pages of this procrastination book. This recent progress alerted me to retrace my steps and return back to this blog. Our procrastination, our time management issues, our criticism are deeply rooted in our early memories growing up.

I look forward to sharing my progress: My journey in overcoming procrastination to achieve my dreams and goals. Please share whether you have procrastination challenges. Have a productive Friday!

Plagiarism? Coincidence?

2016-07-20T02:25:00.000-07:00

At the Republican National Convention, Melanie Trump, wife of Republican nominee Donald Trump, gave a speech that stirred up plagiarism claims. This controversial speech closely resembled Michelle Obama's 2008 Democratic National Convention speech. It is obvious the speechwriters lifted exact passages to mock Michelle Obama and the Democratic Party.

By denying plagiarism, these speechwriters are likely trying to protect their so-called squeaky clean image from further criticism. In my honest opinion, the Trump Camp made a huge mistake allowing Melanie Trump to use this flawed speech. They may as well requested Melanie to read the 2008 DNC speech. Playing games like this show that criticism is condoned and that cheating is acceptable.

Will the Melanie Trump speech affect voters during the general election? No, this speech probably won't have an impact on the voting population. However, this distasteful speech confirms the Republican National Convention is a circus full of clowns.

The Republic Party were so divisive in accepting Donald Trump's as their party's leading nominee. They recruited former Governor of Massachusetts and 2012 Republican Party Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, to speak out against Donald Trump. His attempt to block the billionaire fell flat.

There is no way on Earth those speechwriters wrote this speech without knowing that it mirrored Michelle's DNC speech back in 2008. They knew exactly what they were doing, poking fun at the intelligence of the American people to get a laugh.

Texting Game in Dating

2016-07-02T18:59:00.000-07:00

Text messaging represents the standard mode of communication to contact a person you like. Unfortunately, there is anxiety in sending text messages and in receiving responses. The initiator thinks about what to write, ponders on this message, and then finally gains the courage to send their text message to the appropriate person. Then, the waiting game begins to take hold for the sender. The texting game is thriving in the dating world!

In this modern time, text messaging is likely replacing simple phone calls. People are too busy to answer phone calls. Furthermore, the dating game challenges people to make contact without knowing if there is any interest reciprocated back. We won't know if this person is at work, at an appointment, shopping and/or busy with their lives. Even if there's initial interest on the first night, the time it takes to contact this person can make or break a situation. Don't wait too long to send a text message.

Most people would rather not appear so desperate in picking up an incoming call right away. Eagerness, willingness, or quick to draw are viewed as powerless traits. There is another way!

Here comes text messaging! It is the most popular way to make quick contact. However, senders feel anxious waiting for responses. As time passes by, these senders watch their phones for a bubble to appear with words relevant to their original message. This is when texting someone you like gets really complicated. Did you write the wrong message? Not funny enough? Witty? Interesting?

Another important factor is: When is the right time to reply back? Are we going to play the dating game? Or do we want to be direct and just fire back a quick, short message? Do we want the upper hand? Want to be straight to the point?

From personal experience, sending long text messages can/will affect the outcome. Most people, unless you have interest in reading novels, don't have time to read long, drawn-out text messages. It makes the sender appear needy, too willing to do anything for this person. Maybe the text message etiquette, as it applies to dating, is to wait a certain amount of time. Play the game wisely. Why play games? Who wants to make the other personal antsy? Why not just say what you mean?

The first thought that comes to mind is weakness. Responding within a minute after receiving a message can mean a few things: the person is showing way too much interest, they are bored, and are interested and want to convey this to the sender. On the flip side, responding within seconds of every message can show you are putting all your emotions into this one person.

Maybe the best ratio is a one message response for every incoming message. If no answer, then wait awhile to reply back with another message. If you have to wait a few weeks, go ahead and do this. Keep yourself busy and make the other party think. Once they start worrying about why you are not responding, you regain a competitive advantage. Playing the chasing game can be empowering or dejecting. It is up to you how text messaging can factor into your dating opportunities.

These games motivate people to find the right person so they don't have to play them. Some say it is better to be with a person they have a total connection with than to worry whether they say the wrong things to hurt their chances.

Moments of silence on a date can spell doom. It is awkwardly uncomfortable to run out of things to say. Going to a cool place is important. Get involved with activities to keep busy. Do something fun to entertain each other. As soon as you reach your comfort level, drop your guard. If this person is right for you, it should be effortless. Keep in mind: Text messaging this person in the early stages rely on strategy.

There are a number of ways to use text messaging to initiate a date. You can send the first message to remind this person how you met them. Hopefully, this person remembers your name and the situation. That is a good sign that you made a good first impression. If this person doesn't remember you, mention something in the message to spark their memory. Still having trouble? Don't waste your time!

For positive responses, tell them it was cool to meet them. See if you can set up a date to hang out. Maybe ask them if they prefer a specific place they enjoy. Mention a place and time to meet. If you can't coordinate schedules, ask them what days they usually have off. You'll know if they are serious or not. Recurring excuses or flaking on you may show their initial interest in you dissipated. Move on!

This is where text messaging can complicate the communication process. Don't write novels. Quick, direct messages are best. One message for every one message. If they don't respond, make them wait. It sucks that there is a game to text messaging a person and making contact. That is the way text messaging works in the dating world!

Want to hold a convo? Talk about things you remember the first time you met them. Spark their interest! Find out what they like. If this person is not as receptive to your messages, try another approach. Are they responding to your message without you having a way to reply back. An example of this is question/answer responses. If you write a lot and they write short messages, then there are more factors to this question. We really don't know what is taking place on their side. Give them the benefit of doubt until their flakiness is a recurring theme. Can't get a date? Move on!

All we can do is be creative in our responses. Retain their interest. Keep it simple. Ask questions. Don't respond back so fast. If this person is interested, they will initiate a convo. Feel there is no chemistry? Awkward during convo? If you feel there is enough interest from the initial meeting, just set up a date to meet up in person. It's possible this person doesn't have time to text back and forth. Making a date may not be that easy, but being direct can/will get you an immediate answer.

Don't fear rejection. Take a risk to increase your probability to score a cool date. At least, with text messaging, you can think before you send a message. On the phone, you may not be able to redeem yourself. Don't over-think text messages. Keep yourself busy to avoid obsessing whether they read your message and if they will respond right away.

Remember this; they have a life like you. Until you are a couple, there are no obligations to respond on either side. In relationships, couples delay their text messages. The important thing is being nice and respectful in responses can make text messaging between the initiator and responder exciting. Show confidence!

Happy Texting!

Have you reached Prosperity?

2016-07-02T16:00:00.000-07:00

Prosperity is overlooked as a positive component of happiness. What makes people happy may differ from person to person. Some people view fame, wealth and material possessions as happiness. However, other people value their morality - in how they treat people - as the foundation for everlasting happiness. Prosperity coincides with all positive counterparts, where all aspects of your life finally reach a balanced state.

Prosperity is the ultimate euphoria of pleasure. It can fill your body with warmth, seducing your inner desires with such a fascinating, wonderful feeling. Prosperity can unlock doors to the most thrilling experiences imaginable. Don't fight the feeling, instead open your body, mind and soul to prosperity.

Blocking yourself from reaching prosperity can cheat your future goals, your future success, your future happiness. How many people can say they truly love their lives? Do we encounter people who praise the gift of life daily? Are people 100 percent content with their accomplishments? Wouldn't change anything? Regret their decisions or lack of action? Feel they made mistakes?

We hear cynical people complain about their shortcomings. They blame bad luck and lack of opportunity for their recurring failures. They focus on the success of others rather than invest time and energy into building their future. Too much effort is wasted on meaningless tasks. These people do whatever it takes to achieve happiness. Morality, integrity and selfless actions have no merit in their belief system. Most importantly, these people make excuses to mask their unhappiness.

If there are blocks, bulldoze them down and power through these broken barriers. Never allow anything, not even your life or the people who surround you daily, to prevent you from reaching what you desire most in this life. Why don't negative people empower their lives to make life purely satisfying? These type of people claim it is easier said than done.

However, conscious mind action can rewire the brain to overcome negative stressors that weigh down minds. Think of a negative thinking like an anchor sinking the mind. Training the mind to avoid negativity is a process that won't occur overnight. It'll take some serious dedication, discipline and determination to eliminate negative thinking.

Even under negative conditions, prosperity is achievable. It is up to the person; they ultimately control their fate. Prosperity consolidates everything that matters to in your life. Once you reach prosperity, you will notice this happiness. Prosperity can/will put you mind at ease.

Some people have higher expectations; they want more than the average person. On the flip side, other people find happiness in simple everyday pleasures. Good fortune, healthy relationships, successful career, financial stability, good education, positive state of mind, having children (if this what makes you happy), and everything else you value in a good life, may represent the essence of prosperity.

There are times you may need to take risks. Living in fear will hold you back in life. The worst feeling is to regret decisions you failed to make, or choosing to act on things that required additional time.

Prosperity is in your future. Follow what you believe you can achieve. No matter the outcome, at least you tried and won't ponder on missed opportunities. Living an unfulfilled life will inhibit your social, psychological and physical existence. Don't become those people who have regrets; they can't move past what they believe are bad decisions and mistakes. Re-evaluate your life plan to determine if your journey is moving your life forward into reaching prosperity.

Good luck! Have a safe 4th of July!

NBA.com Sports Analysts Missing the Mark

2016-06-01T10:28:00.000-07:00

Golden Warriors overcame a 3-1 deficit to beat the Oklahoma Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Even with this series win, an improbable comeback, and a 73-win season, I don't have confidence the defending champions can compete against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

For the sake of this discussion, I can't stand the Warriors and their bandwagon fans. Every single time I pass by Oracle Arena, I question how in the world can a bottom feeding team become elite? Isn't this team the same exact group who the Clippers bounced out in the first round of the 2014 NBA PLayoffs?

Yes, the Los Angeles Clippers delivered the knockout blow to send Golden State Warriors packing home. However, Clippers have the worst luck with blowing a 3-1 series lead to a weak Houston Rockets team last year and lost their two best players in yet another disappointing playoff run. Sure, the Warriors would have outlasted a healthy Clippers squad in this playoffs.

NBA.com sports analysts are jumping on the Warriors bandwagon. They are predicting Warriors in 6 or 7 games. Are you kidding me? This is not the same hurt Cavs team from last season. Their argument: the Warriors played a tough Thunder group that gave them fits. Therefore, Cavs would not present a challenge and Warriors will cruise to another title.

Was I watching the same series? An Oklahoma Thunder team that goes under a rock in crunch time? Durant refusing to guard Curry in transition during crunch time? Missing 21 shots? Westbrook turning over the ball and not scoring a single point. A Thunder team that scored 2 points in the last 5 minutes at home in a second closeout game? Getting swept by Warriors in regular series? This Thunder group is better than the Cavs?

Are you kidding me? OKC hid under a rock the past 3 games. They had no interest beating the Warriors. Most teams would close out an important series while up 3-1, especially in the Western Conference Finals. Thunder lack crunch time experience. Their two superstars can't coexist, each taking too many bad shots and overlooking their role players as viable options. The Oklahoma Thunder don't trust their teammates, instead their superstars choose to lose these important games on their backs.

Good teams trust role players. If we took this current OKC team back in a time machine to the 90's and made them the Chicago Bulls, they wouldn't trust Steve Kerr to make a Finals' clinching shot. Rather than do this, Durant and Westbrook need the ball in their hands. Even so, their repeated mistakes cost their city a chance at multiple championships. Durant and Westbrook lack killer instinct. They fold under pressure. There is no crunch in their game. This 3-1 choke job will remind me of their magic disappearing act. I will never take the OKC Thunder serious again.

No way in Hell would I argue a win against the chokers as a guarantee to beat the Cleveland 2015-2016 Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs, without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, and using a passive coach, pushed the Warriors to 6 games. Imagine, just imagine, how the series would have turned out if James had help. Cavs would have won last year. If not for Klay Thompson, Irving would have dominated Curry.

NBA.com sports analysts, not all of them, believe Westbrook is a far better defender than Kyrie. Are we talking about the same Westbrook who couldn't make any shots in Game 6. The same player who snarls, showboats, and usually acts tough to intimidate opposing players/teams? Russell Westbrook is too overconfident for his own good. At times, he flashes greatness. Other times, with the series on the line, Westbrook disappears. His snarls and glares are harmless. Golden State Warriors knew this.

Let's not even get started on Kevin Durant. This superstar scorer proved he couldn't lead his team without Westbrook in the 2013 NBA playoffs. He got shutdown in the second round by the 8th seeded Memphis Grizzlies. His passiveness then, proves the same narrative now. When the moment comes to become great, Durant is not that player. He is no Kobe Bryant. He is no LeBron James. He is not even Lamar Odom on the Los Angeles Lakers championship teams. Kevin should have stopped shooting in Game 6. Despite his horrible 4th quarter in Game 6, he should have continued shooting in Game 7.

The OKC Thunder are not championship material. They can't close teams out when it counts most. Their passiveness, their disappearing act, their lack of killer instinct, show how two superstars can hurt a team. Shaq and Kobe coexisted to win titles. Durant and Westbrook lack their confidence to reach such achievements.

NBA.com sports analysts claim this OKC Thunder team gave Warriors a tough run. If you ask for my opinion, OKC Thunder were lucky to get a win with how poorly they played Warriors in the regular season. Time and time again, Thunder disappear in the crunch. Their entire team deserve to lose. In two consecutive games, this overrated team lost both games following terrible quarters (4th quarter in Game 6 at home and 3rd quarter in Game 7 on the road). Tale of two games will point to these dark quarters.

Cleveland Cavaliers have enough experience and firepower to beat the 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors. All they need is a split. Tomorrow will prove the direction of this series. Cavs may be underdogs, but their team is super healthy. Both teams are healthy. Warriors and Cavs are playing at a high level. If and when Golden State gets cold behind the arc, they will surely lose. Their one-dimensional play, boring jump shooting, dictate their success. Cavs have what it takes to dethrone the Warriors.

Cleveland Cavaliers in 6 games.

Buy 1964-D U.S. Washington Quarter

2014-08-06T01:45:00.001-07:00

The 1964 quarter is the last U.S. quarter and U.S. coin struck in 90% silver. This historical quarter ended a 168-year tradition of U.S. quarters being struck in 90% silver. According to the U.S. Mint (2013), the first U.S. quarter was struck in 1896.

High demand for silver made the 1964 quarter the last year U.S. coins were struck in silver. 1964 was a historical date in U.S. coin history because coins previously made of silver now contained copper and nickel.

LBJ chooses the Heat

2014-08-06T01:21:00.001-07:00

Publication date: 2010

It's official: LeBron James will be heading to the Miami Heat. I don't see any team that will beat them. They have three out of the top 5 players from the 2003 draft.

LeBron James decided to take his show to South Beach. With Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh already agreeing to verbal contracts, James will join a star-studded cast to chase after a title that has eluded him in 2007. Nobody ever thought that the Heat would land three high caliber free agents in one year.

Ever since joining the NBA in 2003, LeBron James has escalated his game to legendary status. In such a short time, he has earned two league MVP, a scoring title, and two top regular season finishes for the Cavs. James will now have a chance to win a title.

The Cavs never had enough talent to win. They were great in the regular season, but awful in the post season. Game 5 of the 2010 Celtics and Cavs second round playoff series proved to be the game that decided the fate of LeBron James' future.

The 2010-11 NBA season will be a memorable season. Will the Lakers have enough to repeat again? Can the Heat race out of the gates to establish themselves as title contenders? We'll have to wait and see.

Will LBJ land in Sacramento?

2014-08-06T01:17:00.001-07:00

Publication date: 2010

Tomorrow everyone will know LBJ's new address. Will he move to a title contender, or take another shot at helping Cleveland win a title?

Lebron James is receiving more attention than the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Should sports work in such a way as to consume the attention of the media and viewers? The hoopla surrounding the NBA is that Lebron James will decide his future tomorrow. Will LBJ remain a Cavalier? Or, will he relocate to a contender? Every sports fan and business is paying close attention to the LBJ economic effect.

As a Sacramento Kings fan, I would welcome Lebron James to the Kings. The moment Kevin Martin left, the number 23 is available again. What better way than to hand Lebron James a new Kings jersey with the number 23 on it. Businesses have dreamed about this moment, especially restaurants, bars and sports-related stores. The media has attempted to convince the mass that the coming of Lebron James would generate huge revenue.

Everyone has to remember that the same amount of money will be spent. The LBJ economic effect is that his signing will generate more interest. On nights that his team plays, fans will flock to the arena, local bars and the restaurants to watch the team. It is determined that LBJ will increase the value of a franchise and increase a city's revenue.

However, other businesses may lose money due to the the redistribution of revenue. People that normally go out to dinner and watch movies will instead choose to invest their time and money into basketball. No matter what, people will always spend their money. Whether they go shopping, dine out and travel, a basketball player or a team will not change the amount of money that is spent. It is evident that more money will be spent in a particular area, but there will be other areas that stand to lose revenue.

The best strategy to determine if a player such as LBJ can change the economic dynamics of a city is to compare the amount of revenue he brings in to past years. Also, it is also wise to assess the change in revenue in other areas. Evaluating the overall amount of money spent in an entire city versus that in the recent years can determine whether LBJ can generate more revenue in relation to its past economic performance.

There is a perception that city council members must approve tax increases to build new arenas. The sports owners convey that investing into an area will bring notoriety to a city, and generate additional revenue. New York City doesn't need Lebron James to be successful. They already have Broadway, the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan, Times Square, Yellow Cab taxis, and museums to generate revenue. Cities that approve multi-million dollar sports arena may benefit from using the arena to hold conventions and other events, but for sports alone it's not a good investment. The money is better spent somewhere else.

Furthermore, LBJ alone cannot improve the economic landscape, except maybe for Sacramento, California. A player of LBJ's stature will likley transform Sacramento into a premiere hot spot. California surely needs an economic boost. LBJ has the influence to bring the media along with him. The Maloofs will then be able to build their new arena. Sports fans would travel long distances to watch the Kings.

So those fans that are coming from outside cities will adversely impact revenue in places such as Reno, San Francisco and other surrounding cities, but for the most part, the LBJ economic effect can benefit a smaller market like Sacramento, who really needs a catalyst to generate revenue in their struggling economy.

Looking to score Broadway Tickets to Wicked on Mother's Day

2014-08-06T01:14:00.000-07:00

Do you plan to visit New York City? The Broadway district is one of the most famous theater districts in the world. Are you looking for Broadway tickets?

Wicked Broadway Show

Located at the Gershwin Theatre

222 West 51st Street, New York, NY 10019

Think about the following scenario. You just arrived in New York City. Wicked show tickets have been sold out for months. The half-price ticket window near the Marquis Theatre doesn't have any tickets available. So how do you find tickets to Wicked?

There are random people who scower the street corner alongside the Marquis Theatre. Essentially, these people purchased Wicked show tickets when they were first released to the public. The ticket resellers operate in the same manner as those who sell tickets at sporting events.

Ask one of these individuals whether they have any Wicked show tickets. More than likely they will have at least a pair of tickets to sell you. The tickets may cost you more, but it guarantees you a seat in the show.

Usually the Gershwin Theatre will put a few tickets up for sale on the day of the show, but this option won't guarantee you a ticket. Most shows, especially the Mother's Day one next week, tend to be sold out. If you take a chance standing in the cancellation line, you may waste your time. Essentially, tickets are only available on a first come, first serve basis. As for the ticket resellers, acquiring tickets from them will place you in the show.

Don't expect to sit in the front row. For the most part, you will probably end up sitting in the last row, or near the top row. As the show time approaches, the main goal is to find tickets. Since most of the seats are relatively close in proximity, any seat within the theater is good enough.

When shows are sold out, that suggests that you won't be able to purchase tickets at the half-price ticket booths, online, or at the theatre in which the show is playing at. However, it doesn't mean that you won't find any tickets.

Many companies purchase Broadway tickets early on. Sometimes people are unable to attend shows for reasons beyond their control. "Sold out" only means there are no longer tickets for sale. But if you want Wicked show tickets, you can find them. You'll likely be paying around $75 or more per ticket, but it is well worth the price.

The Wicked show is one that you'll never forget. If you happen to be in New York City next weekend, take your mother to next Sunday's show. The Mother's Day show is magical. I had a chance to watch the Mother's Day show in 2008, which made everyone around me, including myself, feel as if we were in a fairy tale. The acting, lighting, direction, sound and the writing was superb.

If you're planning to visit New York in the upcoming week, visit the street corner near the Marquis Theatre, next to the half-price ticket window. Most likely you'll find the right person. They will sell you authentic tickets because their business depends on word of mouth. It is highly unlikely the tickets will be fake.

I trusted these people, and was able to experience a rare show. Another lady that sat near me also attended the show. Her daughters purchased tickets from the same people. In result, I had the opportunity to watch RENT, Wicked and Cry Baby. Since then, only Wicked is still playing on Broadway.

Use the keyword toolbar below, or the related search above to search for Broadway tickets. You never know what you'll find unless you try. While the search may seem unlikely, scoring Broadway ticket is possible. If the search turns up cold, then consider the steps I provided above to score Wicked Broadway tickets.

Buy your mother a gift that will last a lifetime. The Wicked Broadway is one memory that will never fade away.

Happy Mother's Day to all the great mothers out there!

Be aware about buying movie tickets online and other movie deals

2014-08-06T01:08:00.000-07:00

Going to watch a movie? Movie tickets can be purchased online. However, be aware of the added cost of processing fees.

Fandango is one of the most popular movie ticket companies online. On Fandango's website, you can find movie showtime, and then reserve the tickets online. However, online movie tickets will cost you a processing fee. Fandango is a good resource to locate movie theaters and showtimes, but their processing fees increase the cost of movie tickets.

If you want to buy movie tickets, consider purchasing at the movie theater. Most movie theaters have electronic ticket booths where you can purchase movie tickets using a credit card. Purchasing movie tickets from online movie ticket vendors is like using valet parking services. I never use valet parking unless I'm going out to a fancy restaurant.

The next time you watch a movie commercial or see an online banner featuring movie tickets, just know that movie ticket vendors charge a processing fee. The ticket processing fee usually ranges from $.75 to $2. Processing fees are most common for loans, which I find to be an inconvenience. There's no way I will pay a processing fee, especially when the movie ticket prices are already expensive.

Take advantage of the student and military discount options. Many theaters off special discounts during weeknight showings. In addition, purchasing movie tickets before 6pm will save you money. These are known as matinee times. Purchasing special movie passes can also save you money. There are special tickets that theaters and other vendors sell in bulk.

Look for shopping center deals on boxes that offer movie tickets, as well as certain brands which give tickets to consumers who buy a certain numbers of products. Check Craigslist for people who are selling movie, popcorn and drink ticket packages.

The next time you consider purchasing movie tickets online, be aware that movie ticket vendors such as Fandango charge a processing fee per ticket. It may be better to purchase the tickets at the movie theater. Watch out for expensive snacks and drinks.

Wicked Broadway Tickets

2014-08-06T01:02:00.002-07:00

Publication date: 2008

Plan to visit New York City in the next few weeks? There are Broadway Wicked tickets still available. I can't guarantee that these tickets are priced fair, but ticket vendors have these show tickets.

Wicked tickets are only sold out at the theatre and the box office. However, Wicked tickets may be purchased online. I recently wrote an article suggesting that ticket resellers standing on street corners may have Wicked tickets. In our opinion (don't use this advice), I would take this route if you just arrived in New York City and want to watch Wicked during your stay.

It is unlikely you'll find Wicked tickets available in box office booths or inside the venue. Theatregoers can take a risk to stand in line on the day of the Wicked showing to purchase cancellation tickets. However, there is no guarantee to score these tickets.

The best option is to purchase tickets online. In a hurry? In my opinion, you may consider visiting a reseller to purchase Wicked tickets. The last alternative is to stand in line to request cancellation tickets. Whatever alternative you choose, I wish you luck in finding Wicked tickets.

Purchasing Airline Tickets: Fly on Tuesday, Wednesday & early Saturday morning

2014-08-06T00:49:00.001-07:00

Are you looking to get airline tickets for a good price? Read this article to find out the perfect time to book flights.

Have you ever noticed how expensive airline tickets are on specific days? The trick to purchasing airline tickets is to book your flight at least 21 days in advance, as well as to fly on Tuesday, Wednesday and early Saturday morning. Ticket prices are least expensive during these times because there is less demand. Most people tend to fly on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. On Saturday mornings, there is no business people who fly out.

The same theme applies to hotels during the week. Hotels charge more money on weekdays to accommodate the business population, whereas the weekend only attracts random visitors. Airline tickets are least expensive when they are purchased 21 days in advance, and when flights are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and early Saturday mornings. Have a safe flight.

Where to find Dodger Ticket Passes?

2014-08-06T00:47:00.000-07:00

Sports tickets are extremely expensive, especially for front row seats. I always look for the deals to keep cost down. Shell gas stations in Southern California are offering two free baseball passes to exchange for Dodgers tickets. All you need to do is purchase 10 20oz Coke bottles to receive this voucher.

Shell gas stations have the 2 Cokes for $2 deal. If you're looking to score two tickets and to stock up on Coke, then you have a perfect opportunity to save money and secure good lower level seats, Visit the nearest Shell to take advantage of the deal today. It will only last until July 31st.

Sacramento Kings come close to winning - 7th straight loss

2014-08-06T00:44:00.000-07:00

Publication date: 2010

Sacramento Kings are showing some life, but they lost their 7th game in a row, which represents their second 6+ game losing streak in the past 18 games. The kings are 2 losses away from being the worst team in the NBA.

There's not much to say about the Sacramento Kings these days. They're definitely the worst team in the league. If the Kings lose 2 more games, they will indeed own the worst NBA record. How does a 3-1 team end up with a 4-14 record? The Kings had a perfect plan to accomplish that feat.

The Sacramento Kings coasted out of the gates. They were on pace to have a successful season, but then they acquired the losing bug. Every game the Kings play is worse than the previous. After a 3-1 start, the Kings stringed together a 6 game losing streak, and then continued on with another 7 game losing streak. With that said, they only won 1 lousy game, going a pathetic 1-13 over the past month.

As I predicted, the Kings let the Lakers run all over them. Then, the Kings had a grand opportunity to win at home versus the Mavericks. They ended up losing by 2 measly points. What makes matters worse is their inability to find a win. The Kings organization assembled one of the most disastrous teams in the Sacramento era. The way the Kings are looking, I wouldn't be surprised if they finish with less wins than their 17-65 record in the 2008-2009 season.

Kings fans are definitely disappointed in the poor product. Every fan hoped the 3-1 start was a sign of good to come this season. Even the first game at home was sold out. Now that the Kings are losing, the fans are going to drop like cow waste. I must admit the Kings are a disaster. They look like a team on life support. Maybe the Sacramento Monarchs could beat Evans and company, but they were victim to the owners choosing to invest into a quality Kings product.

I would rather watch the Sacramento Monarchs play than to endure another Kings loss. The Kings are doing one thing right; they're losing every which way possible. They get blown out one night, and the next night they lose by 2 points to one of the premiere teams in the league. The last time the Kings beat the Mavericks and the Lakers in the same season was some time ago. I believe Artest led the Kings to victories over the teams in his homecoming to the Kings. A lot has changed since then, and now we must face the truth - the Kings are a bad product with no quality.

While the Kings came close to winning tonight at home, they still lost another game. Kings fans have to get used to a long season filled with losses. Evans went from standout to a bust. The rest of the team are a bunch of overpaid bums. It's sad to say; the Maloofs should close down the franchise to save the city of Sacramento the embarrassment.

I will still follow the Kings as a loyal fan, but it is hard to sit quietly without complaining about the lack of determination and competitiveness. Maybe the Kings will prove us wrong. However, I doubt there will be any improvement until the Kings figure out how to play as a team. The Kings came close to winning versus the Mavericks, but the final score mirrored the previous results - another loss to ponder over a lost season.

The Los Angeles Lakers are on a serious Losing Streak

2014-08-06T00:39:00.002-07:00

Publication Date: 2010

The Los Angeles Lakers are on a 4 game losing streak. Their streak will surely end tonight. The NBA's worst team is coming into town. Sacramento Kings have played the most uninspiring basketball the past 13 games.

The Los Angeles Lakers started off the season on a high note. Their teamwork ethics proved that champions have the swagger to make it past the best teams. What I noticed about great teams is that they need to lose games to become better. Why? Championship teams must go through struggles to increase their intensity because they learn what it takes to overcome adversity while playing against the best teams. The Lakers are lucky that Sacramento is rolling into town with one of the worst records in the NBA. Now the Lakers can end their losing streak, and work on putting up more wins.

The Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers used to compete in games that electrified the crowd. They had a rivalry that compared to the Boston Celtics of old. Now all I see is a bunch of overpaid bums running the Kings show. There is no energy on that team, especially after the Kings played well enough to win games last year. I refuse to invest one minute of time watching the Kings play. The Kings seem to lose every game with no determination to win the next game. Giving up is easy. The Kings do it best.

The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to end their 4-game losing streak. I'm confident the Lakers will end their losing streak tonight against the Sacramento Kings. The Kings are a terrible team with no desire to win. They started the season off with 3-1 record, but then they immediately fell fllat on their faces. It's hard to believe that Kings fans have to endure a pathetic group of crappy players. Tyreke Evans looks the complete opposite of his Rookie of the Year demeanor last season.

The Los Angeles Lakers will run all over the Kings. The Kings haven't beaten the Lakers since Artest was a member of the team. The long drought will continue on with no end in sight. Last Christmas I watched an entertaining game against the two rivals at Arco Arena. I don't expect much from the Kings this year. Ever since Kevin Martin was traded away, the Kings lost their mojo, and accepted passiveness as their new team theme. The only thing the Kings are good at is losing games, and do they do it well. The Los Angeles Lakers will beat up the Sacramento Kings to end their 4-game losing streak.

Sacramento Kings are a disaster

2014-08-06T00:36:00.001-07:00

Publication date: 2010

The Sacramento Kings are looking for like the worst team in the NBA. The 18 point defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Clipper shows that Sacramento has a long way to go to become good again.

Sacramento Kings are the opposite of great. When watching the Kings play, there's nothing to be excited about. What was once a great organization are now the clowns of the NBA. Maybe the Kings should change their name to the Sacramento Jesters.

It seems that every time the Kings step on the court, they have no will to win. The 2009-2010 team had something to prove, but then they looked like a train wreck the remainder of the season. The move that destroyed the Kings was allowing Bonzi Wells to leave. While John Salmons was a good player, he was not impressive. Wells played tough enough against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs.
Kevin Martin played inspiring ball off the bench. He was a scoring machine that could carve out 40+ points without breaking a sweat. Ron Artest motivated the Kings to play at a high caliber. What happened to the Kings?

The Kings organization accepted a bunch of unproven, overpaid bums to run the show. It's not easy to be patient, especially when the San Francisco Giants claimed their first championship in San Francisco era. The Sacramento Kings reached the top of their game in the early 00's, but they failed to take the next step to greatness. The 2001-2002 Kings were good enough to win the title. Instead, the Kings let the Lakers mentally beat them.

When Artest was traded to the Kings, he brought with him a swagger to win. He turned the Kings into a tough team. The Kings competed against the best, maintaining a winning streak at home, and also making the basketball world take notice of their finesse play. Rick Adelman knew how to coach the Kings. He had the pieces to win. All the Kings had to do is go after one more player, but that player ended up going to the Lakers (i.e. Pau Gausol).

The Kings organization pulled the plug too early. They traded away all their pieces; they accepted an unimpressive team. Tyreke Evans is a good player, but he's not a great player. Great players motivate their teams to win. However, Evans did manage to display a great demeanor last year. Because of his play, the Kings competed against the best NBA teams, almost beating Lakers at home in a double OT loss, and giving the Cavaliers a run for their money in exciting OT thriller. I had an opportunity to watch the Kings lose twice against the Lakers in the double OT game - once in regulation and another in the first OT.

The 2010-2011 Kings are a disaster. This is the worst group I've seen since the 90's. Some may argue the 2008-2009 Kings were worse. On the contrary, that team lacked what this current team is supposed to have - toughness and youth. Maybe it will take time for the Kings to win. I don't see the Kings returning to the grand stage. They're playing like a bunch of jesters looking for laughs. The Kings are the comedy act of the NBA.

The Kings 3-1 start was erased with substandard execution. They played good defense to hold the Hornets to under 80 points, but they also scored below 80 points to lose the game. Going 1-9 since the great start qualify the Kings for the worst team in the last 10 games. A majority of their losses are blowouts. If the Kings don't get their royal act together, their season will be over before the All-Star break.

The Kings once had the most exciting act in the NBA. Now Kings fans have to accept players that have no heart to win. Maybe the Kings can reverse the disaster into learning how to win again. Only time will tell the Kings tale. Go Kings!!!

Sacramento Kings not getting it done

2014-08-06T00:33:00.002-07:00

Publication date: 2010

The Sacramento Kings began the 2010-2011 season on a roll, going 3-1 in the first 4 games. Since then, the Kings have come back down to Earth with a mortal display of uncertainty.

The Sacramento Kings began the 2010-2011 season on a roll, going 3-1 in the first 4 games. Since then they have returned back down to Earth with a mortal display of uncertainty and passive play.

You can't help but to think about Chris, Doug, Bobby, Vlade, Mike, Hedo and Peja. That was definitely a standout group, a team that played unselfishly to win as a team. Each night a different player picked up the slack to fuel blowout wins. It was uncommon for the Kings not to outscore teams with an array of slick passes. The Kings were known for mastering the pick 'n roll.

The 2010-2011 Kings look as if they're going down with a kick 'n roll. Their 3-1 start is already forgotten, and now Kings fans have to accept the 6 gamer losing streak as the theme for the season. Tehre is no good Christmas games on tap. I watched the double OT thrilled past Christmas season at Arco Arena. That was one of the most exciting games I watched at Arco Arena.

In the 2009-2010 season, I watched the Kings versus the Nuggets, which the Kings lost on a buzzer beater shot. Then, there was the 2003 Dallas versus Kings Christmas game that went down into the books as another loss. To think of a likely trend, I never watched the Kings win a game while attending a game. I thought the streak would end last year with the Kings, but they blew their shot to put away the Lakers. As usual, the Kings buckled under pressure.

Now that the 3-1 start has been erased by a 6 game losing streak, the current Kings are playing like the worst team in the league. It reminds me of their pathetic play in 2008-2009. I hope they can find a way to win again. At 3-7, the Kings are in for a long disastrous season. There is no hope when the Kings lack teamwork, don't pass as much, and there is no desire to win as a team.

The Sacramento Kings are not getting it done. They look like a high school varsity team playing against elite pros. I'm beginning the think there is no passion to play out in Sacramento, or that Arco Arena is haunted with bad memories of missed title opportunities. I will still root for the Kings to win, as I did for the San Francisco Giants to overcome their playoff drought to capture a title. You never know what can happen. The season is still young. Sacramento Kings have to regain their composure, and win as a team.
