I've been gone...

...from blogging way to long. I miss it. I am going to try to be better at it but its just hard to find the time to squeeze it in. I work, come home, do dinner, homework, bath, work on orders from Polkadots & RainBows then by the time I am done, I'm beat. BUT I am working on it. So instead of going back and stressing about filling you in on everything, I am just going to start from now. So here is our Santa pictures from this weekend.

My aunt works at a local Hair Salon and the owners husband retired from being Santa at the big Macys store in NYC. Every year they would fly him up to do it. Its a very demanding job though because unless you are at work you have to in your hotel room. You arent allowed to go out into public because of course you are Santa. But now that he is retired, he comes to his lovely wifes shop once a year to play Santa and we all get to rip the benefits of seeing him :O)

As you can tell Presley Kate isnt fond of sitting on Santa's lap. She was fine with him from a distance but she wanted no part of sitting in his lap :)

I am sooo excited to see the CMAs this year. I have loved country music since I could walk and talk. I remember listening to Reba, Loretta(my first concert ha) & Johnny Cash and singing my heart out. Santa brought me a karaoke machine when I was about 9 and I wore that sucker out. I remember one of the songs I had was 9 to 5 by Dolly. When I got my license at 16 I rode around town singing my heart out to Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Jo Dee Messina. Now as a mother I still sing like no ones listening in the car & my boys tell me to turn Daddys music on (Rock) lol but Country is where I am from. I can relate to most of the songs because I live them down here in Georgia!!! So tonight we get to celebrate the artist & the industry!!! Plus I cant wait to see a few of my favs dressed up. :) Here are my predictions on how it will go tonight!!! ~~Like you care but I wanna see if I am a good guesser.~~ Cause I know yall really value my imput HA!

New Chapter

Some of the people close to me knows there is nothing more I want than to be a Stay at Home Mom. I hate that I dont get to go to their school functions. I hate that my parents sometimes has to take my sick children to the doctor because I am unable to get off work. I hate that the laundry is never done. I hate that I feel like I am missing out on my children growing up. When I get home from work, I have to pick them up, fix supper. Then we do homework, eat, take baths and go to bed. I want to be a SAHM. BUT....

...As of this moment in our lives we are just not financially ready to be on a single income. So, my family has turned to Dave Ramsey. I know a few people who are now living Debt Free with using his program. This weekend when Presley Kate & I headed out with my Mom we stopped by the B&N & picked up his Total Money Makeover Book.

I am 7 chapters into this book and it makes total sense!!! One of the families that I know that is now debt free is emailing me her budget sheet as an example & I am excited to see how they do it. They too are a family of 5, now living on a single income. So who knows early next year all my dreams may come true.

If you are a SAHM mom, how are you doing it? What are some secrets? How did it go when you went from 2 to 1 income? Any tips, advice or suggestions, GREATLY appreciated.

Random Weekend

I have been meaning to post that on Oct 14, 2011, my niece, Brooklyn Virginia-Grace was born at 6:04pm. She weighed 8lbs2oz and is absolutely beautiful. She looks so much like her big brothers its unreal!

She was born with the cord around her neck once and she also had a knot in her cord. Luckily she was born when she was or the knot in the cord could have really been dangerous. This is a great picture to show the knot. (Her Mommy doesn't mind I show this beautiful picture lol)

Look how sweet she is. They have some professional pictures that I will post just as soon as Mommy uploads them (shes a little busy at the moment ha!)

In other news I am preparing for an upcoming fall festival as well as working on orders from my etsy shop, Polkadots & RainBows! I am truly grateful for all my fans & customers :)

This weekend, we also took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch. Its a new one that just opened up this year. I was a little disappointed but the kids had fun. Of course, I left my camera at home so these are my crappy iPhone pictures. But some are better than none right? Ha!

We are still having warm days here in Georgia so she can wear it a little longer this year and can wear it all next year. I have no doubt that it will last us a couple of years and then can be passed down. She also sent us this very cute hair accessory!!! Isnt it darlin?

Umm, I am not sure about that. He said if its in the garage (with all his other car things) that no one would see it lol. He wants everyone to see it. Bad Blogger Award!

That is what I should be receiving! Ha! My children have never been into extra curricular activities so this year with soccer, cub scouts, weekly speech & language sessions, a fulltime job & a small business, I find myself going a little crazy! I often wonder how other people do it. Any ways, that leaves little time to blog and I miss it! Its my outlet but I just havent had time to sit down and do it. To be honest, I have a lot of post started just not been able to complete them. Also I never posted the rest of our Disney pictures and over the weekend ALL of our pictures were deleted off the computer & our back up hard drive. We have a guy working to restore those but its looking pretty grim. I am so upset over this.

So how do you other busy mommas do it? My husband goes to school in the evening so he isnt able to help as much as he would like. Any suggestions? Advice? Or "You're not alones" lol

I love hand made clothes that look professionally made. Especially for Presley Kate. Its hard to find something in the store that will hold up to a two year old and still look brand new when they get handed down after they grow out of them. But I am here to tell you about a shop that you can find durable hand made items that is comfortable, cute and durable!!! That shop is Lulu Grace Designs. She has a lot of really adorable fall decor in her shop right now that will make you squeal!!!! Here are a few of my favorites but there are to many to list them all :)

Absolutely love this zebra outfit. This is just the cutest thing!

And I love love love this skirt with tulle tutu. (And it would match most all fall shirts!!!)

My Son, the Cub Scout

Some of you have gotten emails from my son who sent emails to everyone in my address book, but if you didnt here goes. My son, Peyton, who has NEVER had anything to do with any social event decided he wanted to join CubScouts. So here we are and he is LOVING it. I have never seen him interact with the other children like he is now. I am purely amazed how much he has grown over the last year. Its light weight so she doesn't mind wearing it in this Georgia heat! Momma likes it because its so well made. The stitching is perfect and when I washed it, it looks the same as it did when I opened the package! Love Love it!

My favorite blog to read is Baseballs to Bows. They have recently adopted their second daughter from China and I love following their journey :)

I cant believe it but my little baby girl is two years old. Makes me sad especially since we are finished having children.

I am so thankful that I have these pictures because its hard for me to imagine how tiny she was!

She wasnt happy about being in the carseat for the first time.

She is such a princess. Does not like to get her hands dirty!

Look how sweet she is!!! She looks so much older. We are definately out of the baby stage! She is very independent & loves to do things Herself!!!

There are so many things that you are doing at TWO! Here are a few...

*You weight about 25lbs

*I have no idea how tall you are :/ You have a well child check next week

*You wear size 18-24 months

*Shoe size is a 5. You have such little feet

*You are potty training yourself. You *usually* tell me when you have to go potty but will occassionally have accidents. You have even gone all night without a pull up!!!

*Your favorite foods are strawberries, ice cream, and beans(you love all kinds)

*You still are not a fan of meat

*You love Minnie Mouse and Disney Princesses

*You are such a good talker and can have conversations with us. I dont think there is anything you dont say!

*You are so smart!

Before starting this school year I started doing some research on things that can help Peyton focus on his school work. Thats when I came across Heidi's Nook. As soon as we opened the box Peyton had to try it out. He doesnt really get that it is helping him but he thinks its pretty cool to get to lay it in his lap while doing school work. I think next time we go out to dinner we will be taking this new blanket with us to try out.
