Weight loss is a state of mind

My best friend and I both do Weight Watchers. She lives a couple hours away, so I don't see her as often as I'd like. We were college roommates for three years and have been close ever since. We support each other in everything, including our goals to lose weight. But this weekend, we got together for the first time in a long time and what did we do? Everything we normally did when we weren't dieting and got together. We went out for a really bad for us lunch filled with all our favorites, with a movie popcorn chaser and then we went to get ice cream.

If I don't have the stuff, I don't think about eating it. I buy the 100 calorie packs, and for the snacks I don't buy those I go through and bundle everything up in single serving portions.Of course, all these safety nets that I have created for myself in my apartment were gone when I went back to my parents' house. And I found something else odd--

Drop Pounds in Your Sleep?

Your Sleep May Effect Your WeightAccording to recent studies, adjusting your sleep habits can help you lose weight. Stress and lack of sleep increase levels of cortisol, which makes your body hold on to fat. But beyond that, going to bed earlier will help reduce the opportunity for those late night trips to the fridge for just a little sliver of this or a bite of that. While for most of us, it seems unrealistic to get those eight hours of sleep, it's important to make an effort toward a least getting more sleep. Here are a few tips to help catch more z's and drop more lbs.:
