7:00 p.m. – Concert at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church followed by Reception 5:30 p.m. – call time for concert and reception set up, tuning and sound check Concert Program Order: Rossini, Mouret, Handel, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Shenandoah and Khachaturian Please bring your flutes, music, folding music stand, stand lights and reception items.
Spring Concert dress is white long sleeve shirts/blouses, long black skirts/pants and black shoes No perfumes please Please return your complete folders to me after the concert.
This concert will be recorded and a DVD should be ready in the fall.

The Fall/Winter semester will begin on Thursday evening, September 17 and our annual winter concert is tentatively set for Friday evening, December 11 at St. Matthew’s. We also have possible performances at
the Burlingame Country Club and the Pacific Union Club in San
Francisco in December. Please check our website over the summer for
any updates, changes and the fall/winter schedule. Repertoire for
our winter performances will include “African Noel”, “Overture to Messiah”, “For unto us a Child is Born” from Messiah and others.

For Spring 2010, I would like to program “Magic Flutes Goes to Hollywood!” and perform music from the movies and also classical pieces used in movies! I think it will be fun. We haven’t done a concert with a theme in a long time.

This is a different room from what the class schedule states. Also the Thursday rehearsal schedule has been set up differently this semester. Please make a note of it. Sectionals will begin on March 5 and will be held during class time. Please check our website periodically during the semester for any changes that may come up.
