Global warming...Weird Winter...

It has been a very strange Winter so far. One day it is 10 degrees Celcius above zero, the next, it is -7. What's up with this? Is this Global warming or just a freak weather pattern? Yes and no say scientists..............

...Well...that's comforting... :/

The weather patterns are due to melting polar ice is causing the temperature changes in our oceans. El Nino is blowing all kinds of warmer winds our way as cold and hot air masses mix together.

So due to the ice melt, yes global warming is causing these changing weather patterns indirectly. Global warming isn't making the days warmer directly, it's the warmer water and winds...are you getting this? It's a crazy circle.

Full Moon Esbat January 2012...Solitary ritual...

The Holidays, amoung other things, really took it out of me, so this Esbat I felt that I needed to be alone so I headed out into the crisp, winter night, by myself, drum in hand.

The hard Earth crunched under my feet and ice crystals twinkled in the moonlight. I placed the drum down on a large stone as I lit Sage leaf to purify my thoughts and my body.

It was cold but the wind did not blow, sounds from the darkened woods wafted around me like the smoke of the holy plant. I heard something scurrying near my feet and look down to see my old cat, she must have followed me. She is almost 18 years old and always seems to show up at ritual time.

I started to drum as I watched the glowing orb up in the sky. It was over in the Eastern sky and I began to see the vivid, neon blue light start to grow around its circumference and begin to reach out like jagged shards of light. At this moment goose flesh spread on my skin and I realised I wasn't alone, many others were also looking up at this same Moon and working their own magicks. When you think about it, you are not really having a solitary ritual, many more pagans are out there too, chanting, drumming, praying or lighting candles.

As I drummed I was thankful for what I have been able to accomplish and I prepared for what more I must do. I know I will be successsful because I saw it that night. I stopped drumming and starting to walk in the dark.

I went to the standing stones and was fortunate to see the eye of my guide, a Dragon. The eye floated in the dark, a black dot ringed with mustard yellow and a ruddy red. The eye told me(yes I said told me) to come back to the wordly plane and take a photo of the stones, many other pagans out there might enjoy seeing them, paganism and magick isn't something just in books, not just fancyful, romantic tales. It is a real way of life. For many seeing is believing but know this...BELIEVING IS seeing. So go out and nurture YOUR THIRD EYE/Magick Eyes and maybe you too will see something magickally wonderful!

Holistic uses for Chamomile...

Lunar Eclipse on Long Nights Moon Esbat, December 10th...

The Long Night’s Moon Esbat on December 10 will be total lunar eclipse that takes place at the Moon's descending node in eastern Taurus, four days after apogee. The Moon's orbital trajectory takes it through the southern half of Earth's umbral shadow. Although the eclipse is not central, the total phase still lasts 51 minutes.

Times:

The eclipse’s total phase lasts for 51 minutes. It starts at at 11:33:36 Universal Time (UT), with totality starting at 14:06:16 UT.

The point of the greatest eclipse occurs at 14:31:49 UT. The umbral eclipse magnitude will reach 1.11 at this point.

Totality ends at 14:57:24 UT, and the entire eclipse finally ends at 17:29:57 UT.

The December 10 lunar eclipse will be seen from Alaska, northern Canada, Australia, New Zealand, central Asia and eastern Asia. Viewers in most of North America and Hawaii will see the moonset still in eclipse. For North Americans, the eclipse is in progress as the Moon sets with western observers favoured by a larger fraction of the eclipse before moonset. Observers throughout Europe and Africa will miss the early eclipse phases because they occur before moonrise. None of the eclipse can be seen from South America or Antarctica.

First off the music quality is excellent. The musicians did a great job. I didn't know what a sarod was or a tabla but the artists played them with much feeling and talent.

I found a few of the vocal tones abrasive but I usually do when it comes to Chakra stimulation.

Track 3; The Orbit-Nam Myoho had me in orbit, I felt as if I were flying in an astral plain.

Track 6; Infinite Wisdom for the Third Eye Chakra’s music gave me tingles in my spine.

Track 7; Be Still also gave me gooseflesh, I liked the vocals in this one too and not just the music.

Integration; The Beginning was the last track and it had me swaying like an Orion Slave girl.

Q: Can you make money from blogging?

A: The short answer is yes. The long answer is, well, don't hold your breath to get rich quick! Though some people make a living at it, they are only a tiny percentage. First of all you should blog about things you know and enjoy. It is a creative outlet and if you make a few bucks too, then great!

So just how do you make money from blogging, you ask? Well, Google Ads are placed usually beside or under your posts, they should reflect the blog so that they are things that will be of interest to your readers. When they click on your ads, you might make 12 cents, or you might make 43cents, you never know because companies placing the ads bid to have them placed on your blog or website.

I have clicked on others' blog ads because I really want the bloggers to continue writing their entries and the ad was interesting to me and I wanted to know more about the product. I guess it 's my way of showing my appreciation, after all, I am paying them without paying my money. So we both benefit.

I also like it when I am reading another bloggers entry and the ads are relevant to the topic of the blog. You can come across some really sweet companies or hard to find items this way! Sometimes if you have your own blog, weird ads come up but you can choose in the beginning to keep out adult content ads and they usually stay outta your blog, sometimes something you don't like might get through but you can contact Google AdSense for help with this.

Usually though, most ads that are placed on your blog by AdSense will be pretty relevent to what you are writing about. You can also have public service announcements or charities on your ad list. A.- Nope, Ethereal, is my altar ego, since I practice Hedge witchery, or magick using my mind to experience other dimensions, realities, and energy perceptions. I frequent The Ethers, not quite here or there, during magickal workings.

A.-Nope, but Ethereal's is.

A.- Yes, I do. I brings balance and contentment to my existance. It gives me hope when I feel helpless and strength when I feel to weak to continue through difficult times. I have the power to achieve and go forward in my life.

I distrust any faith that says I shouldn't. To believe in magick is to believe in YOURSELF. Most of us beleived in magick as children but have it quashed out of us by society. After all I still believe in oxygen but I 've never seen it.

Samhain Pumpkin & Rum Drizzle Loaf...

This is yuuuuuummyyyy! It's also very easy recipe! If you don't bake alot, but want a fancy looking dessert, this is for you. I used a boxed, white cake mix as a base. I bought it for $1.00 on sale at the grocery store.

You will also need:
1 egg
1 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
1/3 cup oil
1 - 2 tsp. Cinnamon (as your tastebuds prefer)
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
A pinch Ginger

The Drizzle:
Icing(confectioner's) sugar (start with 3/4 of a cup)
2-3 tsp. Rum Flavouring
Milk or blend
Water as needed

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Pour out the cake mix into a mixing bowl, add the egg, pumpkin, oil, and spices. Mix on slow if using an electric mixer.

Pour into a greased loaf or Bundht pan, I used a pumpkin patch pan. Bake for 45 minutes then check the center by sticking a wooden skewer or toothpick in center, if gloppy, bake for 5 more minutes. The top should look "poufed".

Remove from oven and place IN PAN on the cooling rack. If you used a shaped pan, cut off excess on top BEFORE flipping out onto the rack. If you used a regular pan, let cool 5-10 minutes before removing from pan and place on rack again to cool.

Pumpkin patch baking pan 2011: Ethereal

Mix the icing sugar and rum flavour in a bowl. Slowly add the milk or blend a tsp at a time. This isn't rocket science, mix a consistency loose enough to drizzle but not as liquidy as water. * If you added too much milk, add more icing sugar, if it becomes too thick add a little water to it.

Place the cake on the serving platter of your choice and then pour the drizzle with a spoon. Zigzag to make an appealing, high felooting look!

This is perfect for a holiday shindig, your Circle or coven members will think you slaved away to make this ditty. The rum drizzle offsets the pumpkin FABULOUSLY! It's so good with coffee!

3rd night of the Blood Moon, as She wanes...

So do I. I went out in the night to the top of the pasture and sat upon the eastern stone of a triad of giant boulders. I'm fond of sitting there and it was really, really quiet.

Clouds moved in to block the moonglow and I heard a sole toad trilling somewhere in the mossy ground by the stone. I felt tired after the 2 nights previous so I guess I was waning to, like the Moon.

I certainly was able this month to plan my goals for the near future, may I be successful...

Apex of The Blood Moon 2011...The Great Rite

In life you have many thoughts, feelings, and wants that guide your actions and you feel or try to feel that you, as an individual, run the show. Then, The Universe steps in and allows you just a peak at The Mysteries and you realize you’re just playing a part in the broader scheme of things.

You never truly know why or how but because they are The Great Mysteries, you really don’t need to know. This journey I took had purpose for me and all others involved. I was shown that we truly are, all connected. Someone always has a need and someone else always has the capacity to fulfill it. In doing so, in sharing power, people who have never met, become greater and stronger, individually, than each could have imagined.

And this is how it was on the esbat of the Blood Moon...

I walked along the sandy shore, my long, black skirt barely moved as the sea air was unusually calm. I walked on to where the Rite would occur. A shape came into focus on the stones, slightly glowing white...there lay the bones of a baby seal, the selkie has great connection with me and I slowly grasped the symbolism of the young one lying there before me. Death is the end of one life but all is reborn and out of this, a new life would come.

I looked on and wasn't saddened, I knew something sacred was about to occur.

Walking back after The Rite I came across ANOTHER selkie skull! While returning I should of been freezing but I wasn't, I still wasn't really myself. Was the magick successful? Only time will tell. For what I could never really have, I gave away that night to THEM. May THEY both be blessed by The Universe with the gift they so desire for.

The waves lapped at the shore as I approached THE spot. The Stag was already there, preparing himself. I mentally prepared as well and I felt myself fading away. In my place, the Goddess was incarnated there in the moonlight...

Waves crash upon rocky shores,

October’s ripe Moon sheds down sacred light,

The ebb and flow of frothy waves,

Keep time with the Great Rite.

Bodies writhe in a sacred dance,

Blue radiance shines on twisted legs.

The Stag is restless as he approaches a fevered pitch,

His Goddess awaits the gift.

* FOOTNOTE: On the drive home a skunk appeared, these are symbols of creative manifestation of magick. Being a musk animal also makes them typically seen as sensual. ... A good sign.

First night of the Blood Moon 2011...Tree Spirit!

The first night of the Blood Moon, that lunar orb was still growing but She was almost complete, as the sun set, I ventured out to harvest Willow branches.

The only light left was a dark blue and as I walked closer to the Willows that I had intended to harvest I just then realized that Poison Ivy grew all around and I would never be able to see it in the dark to step around it. "Darn.", I thought. But wait, there was an Elder clump I had been growing just across the lane, "Perfect.", I thought, after all, it was the blood moon and the Ancients knowledge was very relative to this time of year.

I was pleased. As I walked back up the lane something scurried at my feet but it being very dark I could not see so I snapped my camera at the ground...

Can you see what it was?

They are symbols of enchantment, luck, longevity, and blessings. Yes, it was a fat toad. When my flash went off, it startled something in the dark wood. I heard a loud, powerful flapping coming from the darkness. I shot off another photo but this is all I got.

I wondered what was in the trees, an owl? A raven? I held the branch up to the Moon, charging the wood evermore with mystical energy, this was solid, straight wood and I will be crafting wands from it.

Heh heh ....me with pigtails.

Nearing my home, I put my camera's review screen on and got a fright! There was a face on the Elder wood shot, I made sure I returned with a bucket of composted manure as an offering to this newly seen Tree Spirit.
