League of Legends: Server Unavailable.

This is what I do when I want to log on to League of Legends when the launcher says that the server is unavailable.

One of my passions in life is helping others in whatever way I can (that is of course, legal and moral). I have been volunteering my free time on the League of Legends Help & Support forum simply because I love helping people and I am passionate about the game. Not only am I doing what I like to do, but I am taking proximal steps toward a distal goal (working for Riot). I applied at Riot Games on January 1st for a community-related position. I absolutely love interaction with other gamers, helping them enjoy their gaming experience, and since I am passionate about League of Legends, I also promote the game.

As of January 14, 2011, 7:53pm (PST), I was selected to be a Wrenchman for the League of Legends Help & Support Forum. Personally, it is an honor to receive such a title, but with or without the title, I will continue to help others on the forums. I am super grateful for the Wrenchman title.

I learned something new a few days ago and I thought I'd write it here so that I won't forget it! A classmate of mine introduced the acronym S.M.A.R.T. to me. I thought it was interesting and it really does make sense.

There are many times that I feel insecure about certain things. I am afraid that I may not know this or that. When I help people on League of Legend's Help & Support forums, sometimes I am hesitant to reply to a thread because I may not know the answer. Sometimes, I doubt myself that I may not be a great speaker or that my vocabulary is limited.

I must admit that I absolutely do not know everything. I grew up on an island with a population of 4k people. We had no malls, no movies, no fast-food, nothing... The fastest internet connection we had was dialup. I am not ashamed to admit that as a child I was deprived of experiences. I regret nothing about my childhood because it gave me a different perspective - to never take things for granted. With the new year, this uncertainty and insecurity is going to change. Along with my moto "Smile," I will implement another motto "I may not know everything, but I am willing to learn." So 2011, bring on the year of learning!

It is about less than an hour until 2011, and I am going to end my year the way I started it last year. I have been playing League of Legends for a little over a year now. It is an addicting game, but what I love most about it is the community. Yes, there are trolls and such, but other than that, I absolutely love it. I volunteer my free time on the Help & Support Forum to answer questions. I interact a lot more with other players on Twitter/Runeterra. I am actually trying to start writing for Runeterra, although, I need to figure out a topic.

I have a few more months left of college (Winter III and Spring term). I have a gigantinormous to-do list, which I will probably post on here as a checklist. I should also create some sort of deadline schedule, since I have so many independent things due, such as my research on online gaming communities (My first article is posted here http://bcis.pacificu.edu/journal/article.php?id=758).

I will keep this short! Happy New Years all! I will try to blog again ASAP!

Computer Shelf

So this is what my computer shelf looks like! I have one of my 24inch Samsung monitors sitting on one end. I have one of my speakers and most of my vanity products! I received more of my Lancome stuff in the mail today (I am expecting more!). I have tons of contact lens cases because I would always forget to bring them places and end up buying more and more. As you see, I have my 3 Lancome cleansers (oil, gel, and cream to foam). I also have my makeup removers (bi-facil and effacil). Why I have 3 deodorants? Pretty much the same as contact lens cases. I also covered my desk in Lancome paper. When I have time to go to the container store or Ikea, most of these stuffs will be moved (like my random makeup, nail polish, contact lens cases, etc). I pretty much want my lotion, cleansers, moisturizers, and serums on top of this shelf so that I could grab them easily. As for Hello Kitty, I think it is adorable! Although I am not obsessed with it, I find it cute merely because it is pink! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE PINK!!! x]

Well, I thought I'd share with you a little something in my room x]

As for today, I laid in bed most of the day under my PINK comforter, using my PINK netbook. I was looking for jobs. I need a part time job on top of my internship. At the rate I am spending, I need an extra job if I want to continue spending this way. Earlier in the day, I went to school to run a few errands, pick up the mail, etc. Overall, today was very productive.

For leisure, I played a few games of League of Legends and Starcraft II. I played less games today than on a normal day. I watched more anime though and caught up with one of my favorites.

This is it for now. I need to get some sleep if I want to wake up early for the 8am BCBG sale! Have a goooood night peoples!! x]

Puma High Tops!

I've been looking for Puma high tops for forever! I was super excited when I found out HauteLook was having a Puma sale. I woke up at 8am this morning and it was sooooo worth it! I bought 2 Puma high top shoes ^__^!

I am super excited to get these shoes in the mail. The black ones are already sold out, but the silver ones are still available! The sale will probably last until all the items are sold out or until the end of the week? Sales usually last a week (I think). So if you like, buy them now before they sell out!

Lancome!

I went to Macy's yesterday and had my face matched with foundation and concealer. I bought the Dual Finish Foundation and Dore concealer. It was pretty spendy. 60$! I only bought it from Macy's because, Lancome was having a store event. So I also will be getting (Aug 17) a makeup tote with 6 goodies. I got to choose my goodies. I chose a moisturizer, serum, mascara base, their new mascara, eye shadow compact, and body lotion. I am excited to receive this tote full of goooodies. I absolutely love Lancome. I have recently switched from Clinique to Lancome and I must admit I am fully content. I also use a lot of their cleansers and what not. I will be trying Iqqu's ex-foliating scrub though. Well this is my most recent buy for facial products. If only you know, how much I've spend on other stuff. My wallet is sick (broke). Later tonight I'll post about my shopping spree on HauteLook. This is it for now. TRY LANCOME! I love it! You might x]

Oh and another note! I feel that it is cheaper to buy Lancome products online rather than instore. For some reason, the Dual Finish foundation was more expensive in store (40+) when it is only 30-something online. Lancome does not charge you for shipping if you spend over 50$ and you also get a free gift! It is worth it to buy online!! I doubt they give you free gifts instore every single purchase.^^

This video was newly released by Michelle Phan. I have yet to try it, but from the looks of it, it seems to actually work! I've also heard people on Twitter express the success of this home-made product. I will definitely try this out!!

I've been gone for a while with no internet access. New things have happened including Vegas, a potential YouTube gig, etc. But ill keep it short for now! I went jet skiing for the first time yesterday at Discovery Park on the Sacramento River x] I had tons of fun with my big brother!

I wore the top yesterday. It is very comfortable, but what I did notice is that it stretches. I take back what I said about drying. I would recommend drying it so that it shrinks back to normal size. What I do like about the shirt is you can wear it off the should either left or right or both x]

I bought the IHEART YOU WHITE off-shoulder shirt from Bubbi's iHeart collection. I just received it in the mail today. I tried it on and everything. I love it! I actually fit it; so that's nice. The material is soft and the shirt is ridiculously cute. I hope it doesn't shrink and I hope the quality is good. I recommend not drying this top!

I've been sick for the past couple days. I've been drinking NyQuil and passing out. When I am awake (which is not very often), I watched anime. I am currently watching Uragiri wa Boku no Namae.

I am feeling sooo much better. I am tempted to try this Sushi Facial. I need to buy some Sushi! x] I also want to try the Iqqu acne serum.

Yesterday, I packed for Canada and also made a heart stencil. Right now, the stencil is drying up. I am so excited to use it when I get back!

I am currently in Vancouver, B.C. I love it here x] It is absolutely gorgeous. I met my buddy Randy for the first time! I've known him for about 2 years and we met on Ventrilo, playing Counter-Strike. The drive from Beaverton, OR to here was longer than usual. We hit traffic in every major city on the way here. When we got here, we had dinner at Daimasu then went to Tea Team Bubble Tea to hangout. Now we are resting up.

Tomorrow is going to be another exciting adventure. We will be meeting another long time friend from online. I have no pictures uploaded yet, but when that happens, I will definitely post it.

Fondue Fun!

Long day at work today and I am really tired! But I got to spend some quality time with the roomie. She was so nice; she drove me to Joann's to grab some supplies for screen printing t-shirts. Then we went to Target/Fred Meyer to buy some fondue stuff. We had chocolate covered strawberries and also marshmallow! I'm super excited to screen print tonight! Wish me luck!

Busy Busy!

This entire weekend I have been researching on how to go about starting a clothing line business. My best friend and I are considering on starting a small scale line selling cutesy t-shirts for girls online. We are still in the research phase, but I am super ecstatic and motivated to go about this. Because we have no budget whatsoever, we are going to start out doing screen printing ourselves. I'll be posting pictures of our test products, and keep updates on the business. I hope it goes well. I am excited for the challenge and hardwork. We will continue to research and make designs. We also need to negotiate the legality of our business/trademark/etc. Wish us luck!!

Taiwanese Drama - Down With Love

I finished the last episode of this series this morning. This is another series that I liked. It is another romance drama. Although this drama is lower on the top 25 list on Mysoju, I enjoyed this a lot more than Personal Preference. I felt this drama was a reminder that looks do not always matter and personality can sway peoples emotions. Ella Chen from S.H.E and Jerry Yan from Meteor Garden are the 2 main actors in this drama. If you are interested in romance drama, this one definitely should be on your list.

Korean Drama - Personal Preference/Taste

I just finished watching this series last night. I do not want to spoil the show for anyone, so stop reading now if you haven't seen it yet and plan on watching it. I must admit I loved the romance a lot, but the towards the end of the show, certain characters had annoying personality traits.

From the beginning of the show, the character In Hee is depicted as someone who always gets what she wants. She is very persistent and because of that, she does hurtful things and acts like a b*tch. Towards the end of the show, she started doing things that really irritated me. I had issues watching the last few episodes before the final episode because of this character.

The growth of Kae In was interesting to witness. She transformed from a clueless woman who had horrible fashion senses to a beautiful, smart woman. Kae In became a stronger person and learned to accept certain things in her life.

On the other hand, Jin Hoo's character develops into the "awesome boyfriend" figure. He starts out as an individual who is focused on the success of his career/family and evolves to a loving man. It probably sounds corny, but isn't that true of most romance drama?

Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. It is the not best on my list, but it beats those that I could never finish. For those who find interest in romance drama and like the actor Lee Min Ho, I recommend this drama.

Pacific Women's Tennis Spring 2010

It is finally over! I am a little sad that it is done since I am not entirely sure if I will play tennis next season. We came in 6th place in our conference out of 9. We went to the Yakima Conference tournament, but it did not turn out too well for us. We lost to Whitman then competed with Willamette for 5th place. We ended the season in 6th place. I have to say congratulations to Cat Goya for getting a set off Natalia Agarycheva.
