New Look and Feel, New Engine!

We’ve done it again, we’ve completely rebuilt MaineRestaurants.com from the ground up. This time we used the WordPress platform and several custom built plugins by our programming team. The rating and review system is now much more advanced and easier for us to moderate, a huge timesaver on our end.

MaineRestaurants.com is Maine’s Largest and Oldest restaurant directory. Developed back in 1999 MR was just a pet project of Dan’s at Maine Hosting Solutions, it’s now over 1,800 listings and receives over 500 visitors per day. It’s still Dan’s pet project, and it now serves a development area for our WordPress Plugin and Theme Development Team. Most of what runs this website directory is all custom coded right here in Bath, Maine.
