On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download #IDARB ($14.99 ERP) for free during the month of February.

On Xbox 360, starting Sunday, February 1st, Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through February 15th.

Then on February 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Sniper Elite V2 ($29.99 ERP) for free through February 28th.

•Quick Connect – previous controller connections to an Xbox One took 4-5 seconds when powering on a controller, now they should occur in ~2 seconds

•Stability improvements – the firmware also provides a number of fixes that address issues submitted by customers and preview participants

To update your controller firmware:

• Connect a controller to your Xbox One with a USB cable.  Keep any headsets connected to the controller.
• Connect to Xbox Live.
• Press the Menu
• Go to Settings > Devices & accessories.  Select the controller.
  • If you have multiple controllers attached, you can select Buzz – which will cause the selected controller to vibrate.
• Then select Update to download the new firmware to the controller attached via the USB cable, and the screen will show the Updating controller … progress screen
• When you see the Controller updated screen, press ‘B’ to go back to the Devices & accessories main page
• Reselect the controller, the Firmware version, should now be: 1.2.2236.0

Join Jeff Rubenstein and me as we preview Dying Light, the upcoming first-person, action survival game set in a vast open world with some interesting new features like enemies that get more challenging at night and a multiplayer mode that allows a human-controlled, extremely powerful enemy to join this nighttime invasion.

The stream is scheduled for Monday, January 26th at 2p ET/11a PT  and will be streamed live here. Watch the stream for a chance to win a code that will unlock the game when it is officially released.

Dying Light is available for pre-order and set to release on January 27th. Two versions of the game will be available – Dying Light and Dying Light Ultimate Edition.

NOTE: I’ve seen some comments about delays with the physical version of the game in some regions and The Dying Light Team has responded on their official Facebook page. I’ve included that thread here if you’re interested.

Your Profile – provides you quick access to your Xbox profile and recent activity and achievements. With the initial preview build, you can see your Gamerscore, recent Activity, Achievements, Following lists and Game Clips.

Home – the Xbox app home page will provide you quick access to your Recently Played games, your friends and their online status and an Activity Feed of recent events, game clips, etc.

Friends – you can see your friends across devices and search and find new friends. Additionally, you can go the profile page for your friends and followers and view their recent activity, achievements, friends, games they follow and game clips.

Activity Feed – you can view your activity feed and post text, like and comment on your friends’ recent achievements and Game clips. In this version of preview build, the sharing functionality is not yet enabled.

Settings – Within settings, you can see the current Version number of the Xbox on Windows app, and choose to Sign out from the app. Additionally, you can turn on/off the following items:

Messages – Users can view messages from other users and system messages / notifications.
