Most of the people, when they pick up the outfit for a day, choose a main piece and construct the other pieces around it. For most of the people the main piece is usually a pair of shoes, a shirt, a handbag or maybe a piece of statement jewellery. I love constructing my outfit around bottoms, usually a pair of statement trousers or a skirt, keeping the other elements really simple. Check my favourite picks here:

Let's say....HOLIDAY

I love travelling. PERIOD. It can be anywhere, it doesn't have to be exotic get away where I need to take a plane to go. It can be somewhere 5 miles from my home, where I can spend my entire day, exploring the local sceneries and food.

My dad always taught me this famous quote by Saint Augustine "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page". As a child and while growing up, my parents made sure to take me to many places in India. Obviously, my education and parent's jobs came in the way but we made sure to go somewhere every year. My dad taught me how to observe the flora, fauna, dressing, draping and food habits and how all this changes from place to place.

Thankfully, my husband also likes travelling and we try and go to atleast two countries every year apart from India. I have to say, I love holidays and I am addicted to them. It doesn't mean that I love to sit on the beach or a pool side all through out my holidays. Don't take me wrong, I like it, but I would do that one day in my entire holidays or couple of hours every day.

For hubby and me, holidays means exploring the streets, going to local eat outs and trying out different varieties of local cuisine. Neither of us is much of a drinker but we always like to try out local wines.
Personally, I like to pick up a fashion item from each place, mostly it is some sort of jewellery. My husband likes to pick up souvenirs for our home.

Obviously with all this comes the hassle of taking leave at work, applying for visas and spending money. However at the end it's all worth it.

Camden Calling!!!

My resolution this summer is to visit all the vintage and food markets in London. We started with Camden town market which is famous for its vintage shops, alternative fashion and food. We reached the market around lunch time and obviously devoured the food. Next, we walked around all the shops that mainly consists of hand made leather goods, jewellery, vintage house hold goods and fashion. My taste in fashion is different to what's catered at Camden however I bought few pieces of jewellery for myself and a leather wallet for my husband for a really good price. I will feature them in another blog post.

If you live in and around London, I highly recommend Camden market for its food from all over the world and vintage fashion. We spent our entire day in the market and also had some more food before leaving, even though we were still full from the lunch time.

Camden market is made of many adjoining markets and consists of:

2)Stables market

3)Camden Lock market

and other small street markets around these.

Out of order

For me the idea of well spent weekend can be described in 3 points:
1) River side walk in the sun
2) Hand in hand with my husband
3) A good drink

That's how I have spent this weekend. Life is beautiful !!!

While doing the above three, we came across this "Out of Order" sculpture, which was in a Hrithik Roshan's (I love him!!) film called Mujhse Dosti Karoge. So obviously I had to take some photos around this beautiful sculpture, which is made of quintessentially British telephone boxes leaning against each other.

Hey Guys!!

I am not a huge fan of this saree's colour however when my mom bought this blouse for me from Gujarat, I had to buy this saree because this is only colour I could match well to the blouse. Anyway, I wore this last Sunday to attend a party at a friend's place and surprisingly I got many compliments on its colour and the blouse. The saree is very light weight so it was quite comfortable to wear and be in it the whole day. Enjoy the pics.

Today my husband had half an hours work at office, so I just tagged along with him as I didn't want to be at home and get bored. While he was busy with work, I sat at Starbucks right beneath his office and read a book while having coffee. Once he was back, we went around for a walk and took some pictures with high rise buildings as background.

As for my outfit, leeping the same theme as last week , I have mixed a girly flowery skirt with a sweatshirt and paired them with Converse.I was comfortable enough to do train journey and go up and down the escalators as well as felt stylish in the pencil skirt.

Black Lace

I wore this lace peplum top a few weeks ago in this post here . This time I have styled it differently by adding an edge to the girly lace and peplum with a distressed boy friend jeans. I added an Indian touch to it by wearing a multi coulured crystal necklace and few of the beads match my shoes(It is completely unintentional). One more thing that's completely unintentional is that I am dressed head to toe in Zara. By now I am sure you all know that Zara is my favourite high street brad. Hope you guys enjoy this post.

Around Richmond

I am finally back from India and it took me a day to recover from Jetlag. Since last 6 months, complaining about the weather had become one of my hobbies (How annoying?!). London was too hot and then India was too hot (Don't blame me, it was 44 deg C in Hyderabad). Anyway, today was an extremely perfect day. Everything about it was so perfect.The weather, food and good time I had with my husband (I missed him terribly while I was away).

We went for a walk around Richmond Park and waterside, hand in hand accompanied by good food and conversation.

Last Sunday we had a wonderful weather again. I try not to talk about weather in my blog posts but I can't help it. I am just obsessed with it and can't wait to have a proper summer. So coming back to last Sunday's weather, it was sunny yet windy. That's why I chose to wear this outfit, red colour for the spring and chambray shirt to keep me little warm.

By the time this post goes live, I will be in India or on my way to India. I am going there on a short trip. I hope it's not very hot there. There I go again, complaining about the weather. Some people just never change...LOL

Yesterday, I went out with my friends for bowling. I wanted to look put together yet not overdone. So I chose to use Maybelline's dream fresh BB cream in "dark", just to even out my skin tone. Wedding Anniversary Weekend- Canterbury

Last weekend was my 4th wedding anniversary weekend. The fun started on Friday evening. We started with Dinner at a Thai restaurant and then it continued on to Saturday by having all three meals at restaurants and watching a movie called "Nautanki Saala", I wouldn't recommend the movie though. It was pretty mediocre so don't waste your money. Then on Sunday, as the weather was brilliant and the sun came out, we went to Canterbury. I had been there before with my friends and fell in love with the cathedral, buildings and food. I was desperate for my husband to see the city too. As expected, he too loved it. The sun made the visit more special. Later in the afternoon, we went to a place called Whitstable. It's a place with ocean view and famous for fresh sea food. We ended our day by having loads of fresh rock oysters. All in all, it was a fun weekend and I loved it. Now we are more in Love than ever :)

Black, Black & Black

Finally the sun came out today and I turned into a very happy lady!!! I took this as an opportunity to add some colour to my outfit. Mind you! the sun was out but the temperature was still cold.

I chose to wear a full black outfit. To add some dimension to the outfit, I chose all my pieces with different textures. I wore a denim trouser, lace top and a simple blazer. Being a lover of colour, I had to wear this silk scarf.

I added an ear ring to make it look like a brooch. Hope you like it.

Burgundy and Bling

My love for statement trousers is a known thing. You can see my previous posts on it here , here and here. So when I saw these burgundy pants on sale on asos.com, I had to buy them. Let me know what you think of these.

Today I have styled my trousers differently. Usually I wear either pumps, boots or ballerinas with my trousers but I wore converse. This is out of my comfort level but I liked it because of the effortless look, cool factor and mainly comfort.

This morning, I dressed up to go out and photograph my outfit for a blogpost. Before I left my home I checked the weather and it showed zero degrees. That's it, I couldn't face going out in the cold. It's like winter in the spring.So I decided not to go out anymore and do my favourite thing i.e going through Bloglovin and reading all my favourite blogs and have some hot tea. Wish I had some samosas too. Yumm.

It's 12.10 am on a Friday night, hubby and myself are watching a film on the telly and simultaneously going through all our photographs. While going through the pictures, I found the below ones that were taken back in October but somehow forgot to upload them.

I strongly believe that a black skirt should be a staple in every girl's wardrobe. It has so many uses, first of all it makes you look slimmer, its one of those colours that can go with any colour and most important is that it can be efficiently work on those lazy days when you are staring at your wardrobe and you have nothing to wear.

If you think that the colour black is simple for your taste then you can play around with the fabrics and the textures.

I bought this saree during my last trip to India and I was waiting for an appropriate time to wear it. Last Saturday I attended another Indian party and this was a perfect opportunity to wear this saree. I love the saree for its unique colour combination and that the fabric is lace.

I usually style my hair straight but on this day I felt like curling it a little bit. So using my beloved GHDs and curled the ends.

My Highlighters Collection

I love to use a highlighter on a daily basis as it can immediately change the way the makeup looks. I am so used to using a highlighter that without it I feel naked. More than that I enjoy using it.
