3D/2N Mulu (1st day)

Continuous from our short trip to Sarawak last year. Overall, itenary of this trip is exactly what my husband selling at his website.

Day 01 : Meet on arrival at Mulu Airstrip by flight and transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. At 14:00hrs, depart for Lang Cave, Deer Cave, Bats Watching and return to the resort. At 19:00hrs, dinner at the resort, overnight.

Day 02 : Breakfast at the resort. At 08:30hrs, depart for Clearwater River to visit Wind Cave, Clearwater Cave, Penan Settlement with picnic lunch at Clearwater Spring and transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. At 19:00hrs, dinner at the resort, overnight.

Day 03 : Breakfast at the resort. Transfer to the Mulu Airstrip for your connecting flight.

Arrived at Mulu with MasWings, very comfortable airlines and the staff was friendly too. It took about 2 hours to fly from Kuching to Mulu.

It was raining when we went back. We could not see the group of bats flying out from the caves. Since it going to be dark soon, we decided to start walking. It took about 1 and a half hour walking back to the main office and we are quit slow with children. Luckily we have 2 strong man (my husband and Harry). They carried Hakim and Aishah on their shoulder.

Damai Beach Resort, Kuching

After a few days staying at the city, finally we moved to Damai Beach Resort which a bit far from the city. 40 minutes drive from Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak and was a really nice place actually. As for my children they like swimming pool a lot, so as long as the hotel has swimming pool that is very good for them. It was a bit busy that time because of school Holiday. You can check all the facilities and activities at their website.

And my husband also want to try the challenge.

We have stayed there for 2 nights. The 1st night we were there, it a bit noisy because of the Chinese neighbor having a party till 2 o'clock in the morning. The room is not a sound proof room especially if you are staying at the Superior Poolside room. They were drunk, laughing and talking so loud and we really can hear it from our room. Very irritating ,we could not sleep at all.

The next day, we visited Sarawak Cultural Village. It was so close by the resort 15-20 minutes walking. For those who visiting the village, be sure to see the cultural performance at 11.30am everyday. You will enjoy it after walking around to see the houses.

Back to the hotel in the afternoon, have a light lunch and continue with swimming

Just to mention here that Damai Beach Resort has recently open new room which they call Baruk Room. Me and my husband have seen the room and it was really romantic place for honeymooners.

Breakfast at the hotel, at 9:00hrs, depart for Kuching City tour and visited the Museum.The tour took about half day. After City tour back to the Hotel, Swimming and rest.

At 17:00hrs, pick up at the hotel for 17:30hrs Sarawak River Cruise.

The River cruise took about 2 hours and it is a relaxing cruise to see Kuching city from the river.

They also provide light refreshment on board and a cultural dance performance for the guests.

Overall, our program itinerary was as below:

4/12/2011 (Sunday):

Meet on arrival at Kuching International Airport and transfer to Pullman Hotel, Kuching.

Since we arrive late, we did not have time to explore the near by places for our 1st night Kuching.

It was raining as well, so we just have our dinner at one of the Hotel Restaurant.

5/12/2011 (Monday):

Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00hrs, departed for Semenggoh Orang Utan.

Info:

The Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is located about 22KM from Kuching. It is the only one of its kind in Sarawak. Set up in 19975, this 740 hectare of virgin forest is home to Orang utans, honey bears, hornbills, porcupines, storks, eagles, braking deer and monkeys. Most of this animal were rescued from captivity and are being rehabilitated here in their natural surroundings.

To get to the centre involves a 30 minutes drive by car from the city and 1.6KM walk (20 minutes) which snakes through lush tropical rainforest. This tour provides an opportunity of a lifetime to observe how the Orang Utans are being rehabilitated and trained to fend for themselves before being released into the wild. Visitors are allowed to study and observe the Orang utans at distance.

After half day tour, back to the hotel, free leisure at the Hotel.

I am happy with my iphone , so easy to find places with the map.

Aishah and Silat

The competition was on 6th October, last Thursday.

Their school got 2nd place from 4 schools.Sharing a few photos of that day.

Later that day when we were waiting for the competition result. I was shocked when someone shouted and asking who's child was she is carrying. OMG, it Aishah. Her face was so pale, I took her from the lady and Aishah was crying, "mama,its pain" she said. I am scared, I can feel how she felt. Then the lady told me that she saw aishah fell with someone on her. She was not really sure how high they fell off. I was scared and all in my mind was going home. I don't know what to do at first, I called a few of my sisters and my husband. Told them about Aishah, they all advised me to go to the Hospital except for my husband.

All I am thinking was, I have to go to the Hospital as soon as possible, on the way to the hospital, she vomited and I am worried if she suddenly unconscious. I keep on calling her name and touch her face. She is trying to fight the pain, i can see it from her face. We reached Hospital and I carried her to the counter of Emergency Unit, my tears was start to fall from my eyes, i just cant bear the pain that my child felt. I am happy that we were at the right place. My husband came to see us. He tried to wake Aishah up but she wont woke up. She slept for a few hours at the Emergency room and vomited one more time. The doctor told me that they have to observe the child 24 hours after the fallen. X-ray was made and as well as CT scan to checked whether there is any sign of internal bleeding in her head. Luckily, everything was fine.

"Alhamdullillah" (Thanks God) for saving my little precious.

That was our longer day, woke up at 5am and home at 9:30pm, we were so tired after what happen that day.

Ooopppss..Its Papa Birthday..Forgot to upload the photo.

Hi..Darling Happy Birthday and hope you enjoyed the gift we gave you.

Actually his birthday was on 27th September, but we did not have time to celebrate it, it is week days and we got B&B guest at home. Last Saturday, it suppose to be surprised for him but, my 2 kids was not really smart. I told them to not say anything about the cake and the gift but then what happen. They get out from the car, ran to papa and says "Papa, we did not buy a birthday cake for you" *#@**#*#...there you go my surprise...

Well..at least we sang him a birthday song in dutch and hope he is happy with the simple gift and cake.

Me and my kids

I've been busy with the children activities recently. Got to do this and that. Ya..what can I say, same as my husband, busy entertaining his guests. Hakim is busy with ipad and playing with Aidil, his only cousin near by and Saturday with his tennis lesson. He had fever a week ago and now he is coughing.

Well, she also got a new thing to play with, another ipad bought by her papa. What a lucky child they are. Just hope that she wont forget her favorite hobbies drawing and coloring. Aishah joined 2 coloring competitions this month and both 3rd place. Good for her experience. Now she is busy with practicing Silat for "Silat Competition" next week. Good luck to her school.

Let me make it short and colorful.

The 3rd day of our vacation, we visited Paradise Country which say the real Aussie farm and of course because it is must visit place. It was fun for our children to see farm animals, kangaroo and koala. They also showed how the shave the sheep for wool. It was not so busy in that farm and for Muslim friends, they provided Halal food in their restaurant.

4th day, we visited the biggest water park in Gold Coast, the "Wet n Wild". But unfortunately it was too cold for us, even though they said the water was heated. Not really sure what they mean by heated, but we feel the water is like ice cold. Maybe because its winter time. For info, this park will close early during winter time and not all the attractions was open when we were there. we tried a few attraction, especially family fun.

Gold Coast Part II

Talking about Gold Coast, your imagination will automatically imagine the theme parks or Surfing. Yes..Gold Coast is famous with his Theme Parks and the beach for Surfing. Well when we were there, we tried to visit all the Theme parks especially the Movie World and the Wet & Wild Water Park since we have the VIP passes. Second day of our holiday, we visited Movie World, Hakim was really looking forward to meet with his favorite hero, Batman while Aishah was really excited to try roller coaster ride for the first time in her life. Movie World is really a nice, they have a few attractions that we really like. Beside they have this Kid's WB Fun Zone, for toddler or children under 8 years old to enjoy. So many attractions for smaller kids like Aishah. The most exciting for children is the Road Runner Roller Coaster. For my son Hakim, he finally meet with real batman and took a photo with him. Hakim was very proud taking photo with Batman and his car.

Gold Coast part 1

Our holiday took part started from 29th May till 12th June. Started from Kota Kinabalu Terminal 2 airport to LCCT Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia flight at 3:45PM. Arrived at Kuala Lumpur around 6:15PM and we directly checked in for our next flight to Gold Coast at 9:25PM. My husband really planned our journey this time, no more waiting too long at the airport. So after checked in, we went for a food at McD before we boarded. The flight was delayed for about half and hour but luckily it was not really long. Our kids were really excited and can't wait to get into the plane. Aishah keep on asking me how long is the journey, I just answered the whole night, mean we have to sleep in the plane. Yes..finally we are in the plane. 8 hours and 30 minutes was really long. I can't slept but my 2 kids were really dreaming, sleeping on my lap comfortably.

Back from Gold Coast a week ago and still no mood to write about our wonderful holiday. I'll try to do it soon or maybe there will be no story at this time. But I will try my best

As usual our life back to routine, working and going school 5 days a week.

School Holiday is coming

2 more days to wait for our vacation. We will spend our 2 weeks school holiday at Gold Coast & Brisbane, Australia. Hakim and Aishah are really looking for it. Will start to do packing tonight so I am not rushing as usual.

We will fly on Sunday afternoon to Kuala Lumpur and from KL to Brisbane at night. Long journey for us. What most excited about this holiday is we will rent a camper van for 1 week so we will sleep inside the camper for 7 nights. New experience for them. Hakim can't wait for it since he always imagine of Ben 10 grand father's camper van. How is it look like in real. While Hakim is thinking about Camper Van, my little Aishah thinking of Kangaroo and whale. She loves animals. We told her we will go to the Australia Zoo, home of the Crocodile hunter and she really like "whoa". If we have a chance, we will try to go for the whale watching cruise as well. We have been talking about it long time ago since we bought the ticket last year. Hope the weather is good since it is winter in Australia at this time.

Let start with our holiday with Kung Fu Panda 2 movie, tomorrow after Hakim's Tennis lesson.
