They have been called many things energy vampires, chiggers, (those little bugs that dig under your skin), and other things that are not G or PG rated. So lets move on from them, shall we? LOL : )

But in the end they are really nothing, we give them power to enter our perception field. Don't we though? We give them power to disrupt our wave lengths of happiness and joy.

We give them power to disrupt our imagination and wonder and awe.

Yes we do.....so why do we do it?

It is easier to blame them for our misfortune. Maybe.

It is human nature to complain instead of ignore. Maybe again.

It is more human to tear down another instead of build them up.

Lets hope not for our own sake.

No I think its pure ignorance on our part to pay attention to ourselves and understand that they are truly nothing unless we give them that attention and power to disrupt us.

It happens to the best of us. But we can change that can't we?

YES WE CAN and YES WE MUST : )

If we are to proceed down our pathway of love, joy, laughter and happiness we can't let another downer or demon get in our way.

Somehow we have learned falsely that change takes time. We have been trained that life is a cycle that repeats and it is what it is.

I think it is what it is until isn't anymore. That isn't anymore can change in a second, quicker than you can read this post you can change your mind, change your plans, change how you react to life and all its many challenges.

We get mail from across the world by next day air. A simple act of change can happen just as quick and in fact quicker.

You just need to decide. Decide and choose to change your attitude, your mood, your acceptance and your tolerance. It can change now, right now if you choose it to be so.

So my questions for you to ponder on this weekend and only you can answer this for you?

What are you waiting for? What do you want to change?

Why is that?

Many people think that we do things out of pleasure and the desire to have more or pain and the desire to avoid it.

I buy that for some part. But often people can look at their life and understand that we can decide to make our union more perfect in a second, a minute, a day or a week but we have to understand that we choose. Period.

Great book and movie of the same title. How true this dialogue. Hate has more of a curved blade than we think. Often when we do hate another person they don't know it, and if they do know it they don't even care.

What a waste of emotion. What a serious misfortune that so many make. To allow hatred to eat away at your spirit. To let hate waste so much love, so much creative energy. For what and for who? So sad.

My friends think about yourself before you hate another person.

Take time to really think about your wasted seconds, minutes and hours that you waste when you throw out hate into the world. Your world is indeed wasted.

Stop and let go and move on ..... Move forward and let the hate slip away like the wind blows away the leaves, or the clouds go drifting by the wind from above.

Is there something in your life that still grips you. Tightens the muscles in your heart or in your jaw? Maybe it is just time to move on and let it go.

Oh you can hold on to it, sure you can, but let me ask you a question. Just one simple question....

Why do you want to hold on to it

What good does it bring your way. It makes you feel good or does it make you feel bad holding on to it.

Seriously if any of it makes you feel bad what worth is the good that you feel from it.

Life happens and we are in control of our actions our thoughts and truly if we hold onto something to long that hurts us, angers us or just makes us feel bad, LET IT GO, MOVE ON.

Just think of the burden you carry to make you feel the stress over that past history that you internalize.

Sure some of us drink the pain away, eat the pain away, do that harmless drug that makes us feel like it is gone but guess what and you already know this. Those things that we do to our bodies to make the stuff seem hidden have some major consequences.

Stop, think, meditate and pray and move on from that which needs not stay with you.

Let it go, move on and stretch into a better moment and better memories. Move on and smile as you go : )

Life is simple, it really is once you understand the dynamics of the choices we make. The truth is we have trouble making choices that fit into that simplicity.

We think that there is a better way, we alter the path of success that others have gone before because we want to do it 'Our Way'. Not the way of ancient tales, or even of our parents who are not so ancient. We want to blaze our own trail but yet complain about the results that we produce and have trouble accepting the consequences of doing it 'Our Way'.

It is too laugh sometimes. LOL.

But in fact we learn to readjust and ponder over the decisions made, reflect, adjust, pray and meditate and correct our misfortunes. We also need to take the time to speak the gratitude that we still have that opportunity to adjust and that the pain of misfortune is not permanent.

So yes the choice is always ours.

We can make the difference even in our own lives with a smile, some laughter even if the laughter is at ourselves.

That truly may be the best laughter.

Yes indeed, I could not post yesterday here, had a family matter to take care of and it happens right.

Trips to the hospital ER with my daughter, turns out everything is ok but you have to be careful, just leave it at that. But if you can keep us in your prayers. Life is never easy but there are many times when you just have to shake it off.

Oh wow, the theme of this post.

Shake it off! Three words to practice today and everyday. You will have a wave or a wind come up on you and it just may slow you down. However if you truly can shake it off and move forward with care and patience. Things will work out for the best.

What is the alternative to Shaking it off?

Dwelling in it? Paying more attention to the pain instead of the promise. Shake it off!

Time continues on, you can't replay the old moment, shake it off and move on to the next.

That is a long quote huh? But how true. We will stumble and come up short at times. Not all the time mind you but life is a series of waves. Sometimes your riding the wave other times the wave is crashing on in. Why is that?

Well for one thing the world is full of cause and effect. What we put out will always have an effect. Just like what we don't put out will have an effect or counter effect if we should have done something. Did you catch that?

Listen to your spirit, if you feel like your supposed to do something and you ignore it well you will have an effect. The cause was the lack of taking action.

Take time to listen to your energy. Take time to respond to your calls to action. If it does not work, it does not mean just give up it means rework the plan and find another way.

Teamwork. If you watched any of the football this weekend no one worked alone to win or lose the games. They worked together.

So why is there so many divorces?

Why do so many families break up and go in opposite directions?

How do we learn our roles when so many people tell us to redefine our roles.

Why do children take their lives at such a startling rate ?

Why don't we take time out to really understand their challenges and their fears?

Questions that we need to understand the consequences of if we don't start to address our current way of life.

We are built and designed to work together and not alone.

Last year gave me a lot of challenges. Challenges I am still working through. I pray everyday for wisdom and strength to be a better member of this world. A better father, a better co worker, a better provider, a writer that will be more clear with our mission.

Cause you wake up with a great nights sleep, full of energy, full of love for the live you have been given. A blessing has been bestowed on you as you have just been given another moment of life. A fresh 86,400 seconds await you and your the captain of the vessel that you guide along life's journey. Pure magic awaits you.

How we love the sun, it warms us, it keeps the water in the ocean warm, it gives us light and seems always to brighten our day.

How we love the sun and so many during these winter months suffer from a type of depression because of the lack of sunlight.

They even sell and offer sun lamps to give us the warmth and light that we seem to lack during these winter months.

The natural sunlight and these sun lamps can indeed cast the shadow of any burden we may feel heavy from.

So in reality walking towards that sunlight is very much like the hope that all of us carry as we play the many roles in life.

The role of a parent.

The role of a son or daughter.

The role of a sibling amongst our brothers and sisters.

The role of an employee to our employer and our customers.

So many roles that we need to step up and disallow any negative burdens or shadows that may try and follow us along life's journey.

So how do you cast the burdens behind you.

Stand tall with the hope and faith of your spirit.

Stand tall with the spoken gratitude that you speak each day and carry with you each morning and night.

Stand tall and know that your never alone. You have so much to offer. You have so much to contribute. We only need to stand and walk towards these gifts that we all possess and leave the shadows to the darkness that we walk away from.

A few days ago I used a video with much of the same message. I love Emerson and I have used him a few times as well.

I don't like to quit. I am very persistent and sometimes its not such a good thing. Sometimes it hurts when I have to quit.

I must say doing a post in the morning for Smiles and Inspiration 2012 and then emailing and then working as many hours as I do and then sharing with you this quote and video and scripture each and every night show a lot of my persistence and promise to make a difference and share what good can come from my finger tips.

I do appreciate all of your comments and kind words. I must admit that I truly enjoy sharing my feelings and inspirations with you. Many of them do just flow from my fingertips and roll off my energy that I send out.

The smiles I send to you are very real.

The laughter that I share with those who know me, well its my pleasure.

Life can be hard.

Don't I know this after the year I just came out of. But truly many people have it much much worse.

I understand that and I share with you my words to help lift yourself up possibly but more importantly help you to want to lift another person out of their blues or sadness or mundane attitude that this world can produce from time to time.

I write to share because I care I love to say.

I hope you share in my passion and want to lift not only your spirit but the spirt of another.

Never quit doing that .... Just keep on, keeping on and as always smiles sent to you and yours : )

We often begin with great intentions but seldom do we see it through to the end. Why is that? Does it get mundane? Does it get too hard? Does it become a distraction to continue on with our journey?

The fact is if we just kept going on our journey in life. Practiced reflection and meditation along the way then maybe we would understand the picture that is starting to unfold in our looking glass.

So the correction as we look into that mirror (looking glass) each morning.

Know where you are

Know where you want to go

Understand the sacrifices you may need to make

Listen to your spirit and follow your instinct

Pray a little each day

Take your self less serious along the way.

Laugh for no reason

Return to knowing where you are and repeat.

Don't worry about the end you will know when you arrive : )

So yeah the Pittsburgh Steelers lost last night after a great season and showing. Many will be ... no scratch that many are including me about the loss. But how long should anyone feel disappointment over a football game.

I know the very word fan is from fanatic right. Someone who is crazy and head over heals of their football team. But unless you lost a lot of money on the game, which I don't be them or you play for the Steelers or work for the organization then you should feel a little bit of disappointment.

But to go into a depression, or a funk, or allow it to effect your day or week or longer... nahhhhh . Its only a game. Followed by another season to come.

They will rebound, pick up and dust themselves off and so should we.

Pick up your head. Shoulders back. Breathe deep and exhale.

Repeat after me, there is always next year.

All life demands struggle. How true that thought and statement is. What would a life be with out the struggle that makes us stronger, more giving, more sensitive to the victories that we sometime accomplish.

Making a difference for another is made much more direct and specific once we can empathize with those that may just need that smile more than we know.

The kind word that can make their day.

The soft touch that can give them inspiration and hope.

The hug that says everything will be alright because I believe in you.

What building blocks those little efforts can make.

Something to think about as we head into the 2nd week of the new year.

We all fall, every single one of us. Its natural and even nature has its falls. The blooms of spring and summer end the end of its season has to fall.
Everything has its season, its moment to rise up and yes even the best of us fall down. But never be afraid, or find your way to tired to rise again. Rise and follow your dreams.
I believe that history teaches us to keep going even after it seems impossible to succeed. The great inventor's kept getting up.
Planes are built and fly because of those who kept believing
Light switches work because someone learned to harness electricity and devise a light bulb.
Phones connected us to each other so we can reach out and tell someone that we love them, or that we care or just to say hello.
We all fall but the getting up is where magic is created.

It is indeed ok to stumble and in fact as we move forward in life it is almost impossible not to have a set back, or trip along the path of progress. It is inevitable to have growth without some challenges or adversity along the way.

Life Happens ~ Stuff Happens ~ We decide if the stumble is a block in our way or a stepping stone to climb upon.

We decide for ourselves. Only you can decide for you.

I choose to look at any set back as a set up for future progress and success.

I faced much adversity in 2011 as I am sure many of you have as well.

But I won't back down, I won't quit. I won't blame others for my misfortune - No I am the captain of my ship and the first mate and I am in charge of the handling of my sails. Only me. Your ship is in your control as well.

How will you guide your ship this year?

What if you see some rocks or some rough waters will you take the time to steer your way out of the trouble.

You won't just drift will you?

You won't blame another will you?

If you take the time to read these and understand that we all stumble then I bet you will take full control of your ship and steer into better waters.

In fact you are right now! Smile on my friends and stay hungry and stay foolish. Hungry to make a difference and foolish to ignore those who say you can't. Smile on! Enjoy your ride of life this year!

The desire and the effort will turn a thought into success. Having a big enough why, a large enough vision and a dream that is vivid makes all the difference.

From the start I brought to your attention the importance of having a new years need instead of calling it a new years resolution.

To me a resolution has room for failure and often the resolve is not strong enough to see it through.

But call this plan, this object that you want to see through a need. Well a need is no longer a want its a must.

Tie in with your need the thought of the pain you would feel if you failed, the regret and the raw emotion can boil over to the point of making this need come true.

Break down your 'need' into small steps, small victories that you can look back at the dots you connected and realize that your on the path to success.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up. Words that Jimmy V. of college basket ball fame spoke in the video that follows.
