Apple telah menawarkan layanan perbaikan gratis di Jepang untuk perangkat iPhone, iPad, iPod atau Mac Komputer yang mungkin telah rusak akibat gempa Jepang yang baru-baru ini terjadi.
Apple Jepang telah mengkonfirmasi melalui sebuah catatan Support and Information Service pada website mereka bahwa mereka akan memperbaiki semua produk Mac, Cinema Displays, iPhone, iPod Touches iPads secara gratis.
Tapi layanan dan perbaikan ini hanya berlaku bagi mereka yang terkena dampak langsung dan terutama tinggal di daerah tertutup dalam tindakan penanggulangan bencana tahun 2011.
Operator selular terbesar di Jepang yakni Softbank juga telah mengumumkan skema yang sama untuk memperbaiki iPhone secara gratis serta memberikan ponsel gratis untuk anak yatim akibat bencana sampai mereka mencapai usia 18 tahun.

Track Time Spent On Applications With Time Track

Do you easily get distracted while performing some important tasks or outlining plans to complete a project? There’re certainly a lot of methods evolved in the past which can assist users in keeping their focus on important tasks. Pomodoro is one of the techniques that you can apply manually through stopwatch to regularly check how much time has been spent on current tasks being performed, but an application designed to tell you that which applications have taken much of your time would certainly come more helpful in tracking down time distribution. One such utility is Time Tracker for Mac. The application is quite akin to previously featured PAM for Windows which enables you to view usage timeline of applications. What gets it over the line is its ability to log daily application usage, so at the end of the week or month you can easily track total time spent on different applications.

Once the application is downloaded, launch it from dock bar. It will sit in the system menu bar and silently start calculating time that you are spending on different applications. The best usage of Time Tracker can be seen when you want to review work productivity report after a day or two. However, you can check out your time spending pattern by selecting View Report option from its menu. The main window shows histogram with each listed application, showing the amount of time you’ve spent on it.

The left sidebar holds daily logs with months and days stamps. Just expand the month option and pick any date to see the applications you were working on selected day. Time Tracker is free, stripped down version of Time Tracker Pro, which costs, $4.99. The Pro version also charts out time values on graph, so users can visually analyze the complete productivity report for selected month or day.

One of the key factors to becoming more productive while working with your Mac is to master keyboard shortcuts. Mac OS X includes a set of standard keyboard shortcuts that allow you to switch applications, close windows, quit programs, open new documents or browser windows/tabs and copy and paste between files.
Many Mac programs ship with application specific keyboard shortcuts as well, all in the name of streamlining your workflow and allowing your hands to remain on the keyboard. You can shave precious seconds off mundane, repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus more of your time and energy on the task at hand – rather than locating that rogue window, buried beneath 10 other applications.
Keyboard Maestro is an application that takes the idea of keyboard shortcuts and injects it with steroids. The result of which is a super-charged automation program, allowing you to execute several different actions with a single command. Read on to find out more, and see an example of just how powerful this app can be!

So What Can Keyboard Maestro Do?

Insert Text

Do you have different signatures for different email applications or email recipients? Are there certain phrases you constantly use? Enter the desired text within Keyboard Maestro and map it to a specific action (keystroke, application launch) and you’ll never have to re-type the same phrase again.

One of the nice things about Mac applications is their uniformity. Most applications have a certain aesthetic appeal that feels at home within your Mac OS X desktop – not just looks alone – certain keyboard shortcuts have become universal across the board. Most applications – not all.
Every once in a while, you come across an application that sticks out like a sore thumb and the keyboard shortcuts you’ve come accustomed to preform completely alien actions (the old Quicken for Mac, for example). Take back your shortcuts and re-map them with Keyboard Maestro. Command-A now selects all, just like you’re used to.

Automatically Launch Documents

I often use a TextEdit document to take notes while I read through my mail, jotting down important information that I can process later. With Keyboard Maestro, I can set a particular text file such as “MailNotes.txt” or “ToDos.txt” to automatically open whenever Mail.app is launched.
Let’s say I have an on-going list of actionable items in a text document, and whenever I start my day, I begin by emailing my team and catching them up on the day’s to-dos.
With Keyboard Maestro, I can set the launch of Mail.app to automatically simultaneously load my to-do list and open a new “Compose Mail” window, with the “To” and “Subject” fields automatically filled. If I want to get really crazy, I can copy the contents of the text document to the body of the email. I can even map the launch of Mail.app to a Function key.

Add Missing Functionality to an Application

A few months ago, I signed up the music streaming service Rdio.com. Since then, iTunes has been collecting dust and I haven’t had much use for the media playback keys on my MacBook’s keyboard. Rdio provides an extremely simple Adobe AIR application and as such, lacks global keyboard shortcuts.
Enter Keyboard Maestro. Using Keyboard Maestro, I’ve been able to create a global hotkey that selects the Rdio application, pauses the music and then immediately switches back to the application I was using. Pressing the hotkey again resumes playback.

How To Create a Macro

Choose Your Triggers

To do this, you press the “+” icon within the “Macros” column to create a new macro. A new macro editor opens. Be sure to name the macro memorably (it can easily get lost within the built-in list).
The first thing to do is select the trigger action. This can be a key press, a certain time, the launch of a specific application, logging in to or waking your Mac, if a status menu item is selected – and the list goes on.
Press the green plus icon to add your trigger – you can add multiple triggers for all manner of different taks.

Configure Your Actions

The next step is to set the desired actions. After setting the trigger, click the green plus icon labeled “New Action.” The new actions window will slide up in the left-hand sidebar. There are a large number of available actions, grouped into categories.
You can select iTunes or QuickTime controls, open a file, insert text, switch to an application, quit all applications, hide all applications, access Google, play a MIDI note, execute an AppleScript – and, again, the list goes on.
No matter your desired action, you can probably find a way to make it happen. You can also add multiple sequential actions. Double-click the desired action in the “New Actions” menu to add it to your macro.

I added the action, “Activate a Specific Application” – it defaults to Finder and includes the currently open applications in a drop-down menu for easy selection. I chose the “Rdio Desktop” application.
Once the window is activated (in focus), I want to pause the player. This is accomplished by default by pressing the Space bar. Within the “Interface Control” category is the “Type a Keystroke” action. Double-click it to add it to the macro and select the key, you can select a handful of keys from a drop-down list or simply press the desired key. I press the Space bar.
There is a “Try” button along the bottom of the macro editor that allows you to test the macro at any point. A test of my current actions brings “Rdio Desktop” to the forefront and pauses (or plays) the music. This is the desired result, but it also leaves the application at the forefront, forcing me to find and select the previous window I was working in. This is not ideal.
Enter one more action; within “Process Control” – the same category that allowed me to select a specific application – I add “Switch to Last Application.” Now, while I’m working in Pages, Chrome or Tweetie for Mac, I can press “F8” to quickly pause the music and continue working in selected application.
This is an extremely simple example of what Keyboard Maestro is capable of. By creating this simple macro, I’ve eliminated the need to locate the “Rdio Desktop” window, use the mouse to click the “Pause/Play” button and then switch back to the program I was using. It is now completely streamlined, and adds very little friction to my workflow.

At the risk of sounding cliché, the limits of Keyboard Maestro are simply limited by your imagination. With the inclusion of AppleScript support, the actionable steps are nearly limitless. Once you’ve set up a few automations, you’ll wonder how you ever got anything done prior.
There’s a reason John Gruber of Daring Fireball refers to the application as one of the “…apps Batman would keep in his utility belt if his utility belt were a metaphor-stretched Macintosh.”
Keyboard Maestro is created by Stairways Software and is available for a free trial, after which it will cost you a very reasonable $36 USD.

Engadget has retracted its earlier report claiming that Apple’s second generation iPad will include an SD card reader and a “super-high resolution” display, and is now backing up much of what we have heard about the iPad 2 already. Engadget‘s sources claim that the new iPad will feature the same display as the first generation model (screen size and resolution) and will be mostly a tech spec update. The new specs are said to include a brand-new, faster processor called the A5 in addition to a RAM upgrade to match the 512 MB found in Apple’s flagship smartphone (iPhone 4).
Engadget is also backing up the reports that the new iPad will rock cameras. Engadget does not seem too sure about the back camera, and seems to be going off the of purported physical mockups of the device, but they are certain about the front-facing camera for FaceTime calling and such. Engadget also touches upon the mystery behind the iPad 2′s unknown port found on our very own iPad 2 case at 9to5mac HQ and on our exclusive iPad 2 mold drawings from a few months back. They are not too sure about the purpose of this new port, or if it will even come in the final hardware, but it may have something to do with some last-minute engineering shifts.
On a final note, the report presents some hints at what else we might be seeing on March 2nd at the Yerba Buena Center in San Fransisco. They think we’ll be seeing a preview of iOS 5, which makes sense since Apple usually holds iOS developer previews in March/April, in addition to some talk about Apple and the cloud. The cloud point is still very vague at this time.

kita harus mengakui internet telah mengubah hidup kita, oleh karena itu dengan sendirinya terciptalah diferensiasi pengguna internet, ada yang menggunakan internet untuk keperluan pribadi seperti bersosialisasi dengan puluhan juta orang didunia, ada pula yang menggunakan internet untuk keperlua kerja mereka,ada yang hanya menghabiskan waktu untuk bermain game, sedangkan bagi para pencari informasi juga menjadikan internet untuk sumber mereka belajar, mungkin kalo tipe saya menggunakan internet untuk semua hal di atas ya untuk kerja, ya untuk sosialisasi dan juga untuk belajar. seperti halnya dengan yang lain ada yang positif dan ada pula yang negatif, untuk yang negatif pasti kita tahu apa yang dikerjakan oleh jutaan hacker didunia ini, ada pula yang menjadikan internet sebagai alat untuk menipu dan sebagainya. yang terpenting bagi saya internet adalah alat untuk saya mengimplemetasikan sebuah ungkapan “Learning by doing” karena intenet adalah alat untuk saya belajar dengan satu klik semua pertanyaan dapat terjawab dan langsung bisa saya praktekan.

Prinsipnya penting atau tidak penting yang pasti saya harus eksis :) mungkin anda juga begitu, walau hanya Menulis status di sosial network atau hanya membuka halaman depan dari website Facebook, Chating dengan teman-teman. saya yakin hampir semua dari kita pasti tidak bisa lepas dari sosial media. bahkan ada yang lebih ekstrim lagi dengan bahasa kerennya "autis" dengan gadget yang pada intinya memerlukan koneksi internet untuk berhungaan dengan teman, sampai-sampai mereka bisa menggunakan kedua tanggan mereka untuk mengetik pesan secara bersamaan.

Disini manfaat yang paling besar yang saya rasakan ketika waktu dan jarak tidak menjadi pemisah antara penjual dan pembeli. pernah sekali saya diminta untuk mengkalkulasikan harga komputer yang diinginkan oleh pimpinan saya dikantor, dari pada saya harus pergi ke toko komputer lebih baik saya duduk didepan komputer dan searching sana sini, yang pasti saya mencari toko online lokal dan yang menurut saya paling sip dan mudah dalam navigasi pencarian kita adalah www.bhinneka.com . setelah saya memberikan hasil pencarian saya tadi atasan saya berkata "cepat sekali, ini sudah benar atau belum harganya" dengan PD dan tegas saya jawab "pasti update pak, silahkan bapak pergi ke toko komputer buat cek harganya", kok malah jadi saya ya yang nyuruh ke toko komputer. :) dan sekali lagi saya ucapkan thank internet

hal ini yang paling saya suka dengan intenet betapa tidak karena setiap pertanyaan saya yang saya masukan baik itu dengan keyword bahasa indonesia atau bahasa inggris pasti ada jawaban mungkin pertannyaan yang tidak bisa di jawab oleh internet adalah kapan saya mati .. hehhe video, ebook, tutorial web mungkin ini yang membuat saya betah lebih dari 6 jam didepan komputer ditemani internet dan segelas kopi. mencoba dan bereksperimen dengan hal yang baru. belum lagi teman-teman dari forum yang membantu jika otak saya udah "mentok".

bagi saya tidak ada alasan untuk tidak menggunakan internet disetiap hari kehidupan saya, karena dengan internet hidup saya lebih nyaman, wawasan saya lebih luas, dan belajar dengan hal-hal untuk hal-hal baru. semoga kita tetap jadi pengguna internet yang baik dan tidak mencoba hal-hal yang merugikan orang lain dan diri kita karena saya yakin "semua hal baik akhirnya juga akan menjadi baik"

Berbagi Printer dari Mac dan PC

Connecting The Printer To Your Mac

Apple provides a technology called Bonjour, which lets you network your computers (both PCs and Macs). If you want to share your PC printer with Mac, follow the steps below:

1. Go to your Mac and open up System Preferences.

2. Click on “Print & Fax” then click on the Sharing tab.

3. Uncheck the “Share these printers with other computers” checkbox.

4. From the list below, find your printer. If the selection box is unchecked, check it now.
5. Visit this website and download “Bonjour for Windows”. Once downloaded, install and run this software.

If the PC and Mac are on the same LAN (wired or wireless), the software will see the shared printer then add it to the printer list in Windows. The Bonjour software takes you through the whole process so you should not need explanation.

The negative aspect to this is that your Mac will have to remain turned on all the time in order for your printer to be accessible.

Connecting The Printer To Your PC

To share a Mac printer with Windows (XP) , follow these below. For Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, the method will remain the same; only you will have to find the firewall and other settings at different areas in the Control Panel:
1. Go to your PC and log on to Windows.

2. Go to Network Connections (found in the Control Panel)

3. Click on Change Windows Firewall Settings on the upper left hand side of the window.
4. In the new window that opens; go to the Exceptions tab.
5. Click on Add Port. In the Name field give your shared printer a name (e.g. Shared Printer) and in the Port field enter 515. Click on OK

6. Go to the Control Panel again and double-click on Add or Remove Programs. Click on Add/Remove Windows Components at the left.

7. Under components, double-click on Other Network File and Printer Services. In the new window that opens, check the Print Services for Unix box.

8. Go to Run and enter “services.msc” (without quotes). In the new window, click on the Extended tab then look for TCP/IP Print Server service. Enable it by right-clicking and selecting Start from the contextual menu.

9. From the Control Panel, open up Printer and Faxes. You will see your printer name listed there. Right-click on the printer name and select Properties. Now click on the Sharing tab and enter a short name in the Share Name field.

10. Go to Run again and enter “cmd” (without quotes). In the Command Prompt window that opens, type “ipconfig” (without quotes) and his Enter. You will see the IP address of the computer. Note down this address.

11. Go to your Mac computer and open up a Terminal window (found in the Utilities folder). Now type in the following commands:

1. cd /usr/libexec/cups/backend/ (hit Enter)

2. sudo ln -s /usr/bin/smbspool smb (hit Enter)

Note: Enter an administrative password when prompted to do so.
12. Go to the System Preferences. Click on Sharing and then check the “Printer Sharing” box under the Services tab.

13. Open your Internet browser and enter http://127.0.0.1:631 in the address bar. When the page opens, select Manage Printers. In the new page that opens select Add Printer.
14. Enter a share name, location and a small description. Click continue. In the drop-down menu below, look for and select LDP/LPR Host or Printer. Then click on Continue.

15. Enter a Device URL in this format - lpd://192.168.x.x/printerShareName. Click on Continue. Now you’ll need to choose the model and make of your printer.
Note: If your printer is not listed, select a printer that is very similar to yours. Everything is now all set. You can now try printing a document from your Mac and it should work fine. You’ll need to keep your Windows PC turned on in order for the printer to be accessible.

Coba coba Belajar Menggunakan Script APPLE ternyata tidak sesulit yang saya bayangkan, karena APPLEscript dibuat sedemikian rupa agar mudah digunakan dan dimengerti, saya akan berbagi beberapa tutorial menggunakan Applescript yang gampang, karena saya juga baru belajar, jadi kita sama-sama belajar. :) jika dalam penulisan script seperti vb(visual basic dari microsoft) membutuhkan instaler lagi tapi tidak dengan applescript karena sudah secara default terinstal di OSX sehingga kita tidak perlu direpotkan dengan menginstal program tambahan diOS kita. silahkan coba dari mengklik Applications → AppleScript → Script Editor.

jika anda ingin mendeklarasikan suatu variabel dalam AppleScript anda tinggal menuliskan variabel apa yang ingin anda beri nilai. karena variabel ini akan berkomunikasi dengan aplikasi lain yang ada di macbook anda. contoh program kita ingin mendeklarasikan program VLC (pemutar video) agar meng"close" program tersebut.

Re-Index Spotlight adalah metode yang di anjurkan oleh apple untuk melacak data yang ada di dalam komputer. Spotlight mungkin sering kita gunakan untuk pencarian cepat isi dalam macbook kita, dengan short cut [command]+spasi maka akan terindex apa yang akan kita cari.
cukup 2 script saja kita bisa Re-Index Spotlight dalam komputer kita, langsung saja kita coba ya..

seperti biasa kita harus buka terminal dulu (tinggal disearch via Spotlight).
jika sudah muncul terminal tinggal kita tuliskan script berikut ini :

New in iOS 4.3: The Full Breakdown With Screenshots

Based on photos and details submitted by an anonymous source, we’ve compiled a collection of changes and improvements for your easy reference. Here’s what’s new and notable.

General Discoveries

About. All of the portable iOS 4.3 devices show “4.3 (8f5148b)” as their version numbers; the second-generation Apple TV shows 4.3 (8F5148c) as its iOS version number.

AirPlay: Limited Web Video (And Other Video) Support Added. Introduced to iOS devices in iOS 4.2, AirPlay enabled near-realtime streaming of certain videos and photos to second-generation Apple TVs. iOS 4.3 expands AirPlay’s support to include streaming of certain web-based H.264 videos with AAC audio to the Apple TV, though the word “certain” turns out to be important here.

Notably, the web-based videos will not stream unless they are specifically authorized by the web sites’ developers to do so; iOS 4.3 looks for a permission tag before allowing the video to stream from the iOS device to a TV. This is almost certainly being done to placate movie or TV studios concerned that their content might be streamed from the Internet to television sets without their specific permission, and effectively blocks everything else from working unless individual web sites add the permission tags to each of their videos. While the effort required to add one tag is trivial, it remains to be seen how many sites will do so proactively, and across multiple videos. Audio from unauthorized videos will still stream over AirPlay, but the videos will only be watchable on the device’s screen.

Apple has also enabled self-made videos stored within the Photos application to stream automatically to Apple TV if you so desire. This was not available under iOS 4.2, and thereby meant that a video created on an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 would not be viewable on a TV unless it was transferred to a computer and resynchronized to the iPhone using iTunes, or sent to MobileMe or another online service from the iPhone and then viewed using a different app.

Camera + FaceTime. Code suggests that new camera filter effects will be added to certain devices, mimicking the realtime color and distortion tricks that the iPod nano 5G was capable of adding to videos. Apple has apparently changed the shutter noise slightly to a more metallic-sounding click, and the FaceTime application icon (on iPod touch, later on iPad 2, and in the Settings menu of iPhone 4) has been changed to a silver-clad version that’s fancier and similarly more metallic than the prior green version. It’s similar to the Mac icon for FaceTime, but with an iOS-shaped rounded square background.

Missed FaceTime outgoing calls are now indicated with a small upward-pointing arrow inside the prior FaceTime camera icon.

Find My Friends + Location Services. A new feature called Find My Friends appears to be in the offing for Apple’s MobileMe service, enabling users to instantly locate their iPhone/iPod touch/iPad-toting buddies (and family members)—if they want to be found. Apple has moved Location Services to a newly prominent position within the Settings menus of iOS 4.3 devices, most likely to make it easier for users to switch the feature on and off as privacy dictates.

iPad 2, iPhone 5 Versions Spotted. Code within the iOS 4.3 beta software shows identifiers for multiple versions of the fifth-generation iPhone and second-generation iPad, presently believed to represent distinct individual Wi-Fi, GSM, or CDMA iPads, and separate GSM or CDMA iPhones.

iPod touch 2G, iPhone 3G No Longer Supported. Unless Apple surprises everyone by releasing subsequent iOS 4.3 betas for the iPod touch 2G and iPhone 3G, this appears to be the end of the line for iOS updates for the 2008 devices. Prior iOS releases left them with fewer features than their successor products, as well as crippling slowdowns in the case of the iPhone 3G. Apple appears to be bidding them an unceremonious goodbye.

Notes Gets New Font, Loses Another. The iOS 4.0-vintage Chalkboard font has been ditched in favor of Noteworthy, a new version that looks vaguely like handwriting. Chalkboard represented a second and less polarizing attempt to offer a casual font for the built-in iOS Notes application; Noteworthy sacrifices a little legibility in favor of an even more relaxed and interesting-looking typeface.

Photo Slideshow Settings. A subtle change to Slideshows on the iPhone and iPod touch brings these devices into closer feature parity with the iPad, and seemingly expands the feature a little on the iPad as well. Previously, transition effects were selected from a list of five options in the iPhone or iPod touch’s universal Settings menu, and couldn’t be changed within the Photos application itself. Control over these transition effects was not available when streaming photos to a second-generation Apple TV; “dissolve” was the force-selected option.

Now, iPhone and iPod touch transition effects are selected solely within the Photos application—a change that initially doesn’t seem to be very different, as there are only five options to choose from, and they’re the same as before; this is just like the iPad’s prior Photos app and Slideshow button. However, the list of transitions automatically switches from “Cube, Dissolve, Ripple, Wipe Across, and Wipe Down” to “Ken Burns, Origami, Reflections, Snapshots, and Classic” when you’re playing photos over AirPlay through an iOS 4.3-equipped second-generation Apple TV. In effect, iOS 4.3 is enabling you to select from the additional transition effects the new Apple TV is capable of performing on its own, and eliminating the global transition settings in favor of ones that work on the specific screen you’re performing the photos through. The iPad also shifts between these two sets of options depending on whether it’s playing photos through its own screen or an iOS 4.3 Apple TV’s; earlier Apple TV software doesn’t allow these transition changes.

Updates of Apps. A small change to the App Store’s Updates tab now displays larger icons for each app awaiting an update, oddly omitting the version number and date of the update, and adding an odd “Installed” badge that isn’t actually a button—like the prior “>” button, it can be pressed to bring up the update page, where you can start updating the app.

Apple TV-Specific Findings

AirPlay Improvements. In addition to being able to perform more types of iOS device-streamed video, including certain web videos, AirPlay now appears to be quicker at starting video playback and displaying photos.

iOS Software Number. It’s now listed as Apple TV Software 4.3 (2009.2) and iOS Build Version 4.3 (8F5148c), finally synchronizing what used to be two confusingly different numbers. Apple TV Software 4.3 now tracks with iOS 4.3.

New On-Screen Keyboard Design. Use of the Apple TV’s prior on-screen keyboards caused lots of grumbling due to seriously sub-optimal layouts that punished users of Apple’s included Infrared remote by requiring numerous left and right button presses to move around. Apple has redesigned the keyboard as a set of three six-by-seven keyboard grids, toggled using the remote’s Play/Pause button, significantly reducing required button presses. One keyboard is for lower case letters and numbers, the next is for upper case letters and numbers, and the last is for symbols.

iPad-Specific Findings

Gestures: Home Screen, App Switching, Multi-Tasking Bar. For the iPad alone, Apple has added a four- or five-fingered gesture that enables users to return to the Home Screen by pinching the current application closed, mimicking the “close window” animation that normally happens whenever you hit the Home Button. Some users have speculated that this spells the end of the Home Button on future iOS devices, while others believe that it’s merely an alternative gesture to reduce physical wear and tear on the button.

New four- or five-finger left/right sweep gestures enable you to change iPad applications automatically, using a simple flat layer-shifting visual effect, rather than the 3-D swap effect used when switching apps with the multi-tasking bar. Additionally, a four- or five-finger upsweep gesture opens the multi-tasking bar at the bottom of the screen, removing the need to double-click the Home Button. These new gestures do not appear to be included on supported iPhone or iPod touch models. Developers are currently expressing serious concerns about these new gestures impacting their applications, suggesting that Apple enable a per-app or universal setting to disable them.

iPad 2 Camera and Screen Resolution. Art files within the iOS 4.3 beta have shown what appears to be a higher-resolution version of the shutter animation for the Camera application, designed to be displayed at 1024x768 or 768x1024 depending on the iPad’s orientation. These files appear to suggest that the second-generation iPad’s screen will remain at the same resolution as the first-generation model’s, and that the Camera application will use the entire screen rather than just a part of it. However, neither of these details is certain at this point.

Mute / Screen Lock Switch Toggle. iOS 4.1 removed the iPad’s physical Screen Lock switch, transforming it for unknown reasons into a Mute switch for alert sounds, a change that confused and angered many users. It was assumed at the time that Apple had made the change in anticipation of releasing a FaceTime-equipped iPad that would ring when calls were coming through, but that iPad has not yet been released, and current iPads probably don’t need an alert muting feature as much as a screen orientation lock.

iOS 4.3 adds a new Settings toggle that lets users choose to use the switch for either function. When the switch is used for Screen Lock, a Mute button appears to the far left of the multitasking bar. Change the switch to Mute and a Screen Lock button appears in the same spot instead. Problem solved.

iPhone-Specific Findings

Message Alert Tones. Under Messages, the former SMS application on iPhones, you can now choose to have a message alert tone play 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 times in total, rather than the prior “Repeat Alert” feature, which said “if you ignore a message you will be alerted twice more,” providing only an on/off switch.

Personal Hotspot. Renamed from and replacing the prior “Internet Tethering” feature, Personal Hotspot enables certain iPhones in certain carrier-supported situations to share their cellular data connections with computers—and iPads. Turning Personal Hotspot on disconnects the incoming Wi-Fi connection of an iPhone. Personal Hotspot is indicated either with a double chain link icon, or with a purple Personal Hotspot: X Connection(s) bar at the top of the iPhone’s screen. Notably, an iPhone-connected iPad or iPod touch running iOS 4.3 will display the double chain link icon in place of its Wi-Fi icon. Also important: Personal Hotspot data can be shared over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB connections depending on the connected device; Wi-Fi was previously not supported.

You can use the randomly-generated Wi-Fi password created by the iPhone, or create a Wi-Fi password of your choice to protect the Personal Hotspot from unwanted use. Up to five devices can be connected simultaneously, with the current number of connections appearing on the iPhone’s screen. It’s worth mentioning that the Personal Hotspot feature was first revealed as a Verizon CDMA iPhone option at Verizon’s iPhone event, and appears in as-yet-unreleased iOS 4.2.5 for that device; it will not likely come to other iPhone versions before iOS 4.3 is released. The predecessor version of this feature remains under the name Internet Tethering in prior iOS versions, and is limited to a single device connection over Bluetooth or USB, then only in countries that permit support for the data-draining feature.

iphone 4 memang gadget baru yang sedang hangat diperbincangkan dengan segala kelebihan dan kekurangannya, iphone seri terbaru karena masih terlalu baru jadi kita takut untuk melakukan sedikit percobaan (apa lagi bongkar membongkar..) so saya ada sedikit tips buat yang baru punya iphone 4 , 3 Langkah Ganti Back Case Iphone 4, kok masih baru udah di ganti back casenya? yach karena lebih aman memang kita ganti dan yang original nya kita simpen aja jadi pas mau dijual lagi kondisi fisik barang masih sangat baik. selain itu juga back case iphone sekarang keren-keren bahkan lebih keren dari yang bawaannya. oke langsung aja ya kita masuk ke 3 Langkah Ganti Back Case Iphone 4.

- Tanggal pembuatan surat dan penerimaan fax sampai 2 hari. Surat dibuat 11 Jan, diterima 13 Jan. Padahal kan seharusnya fax itu online.
- Satu lagi tata bahasa yg amburadul di akhir surat " We thank you for your cooperation "

Tips Menghemat battery iphone antara lain adalah sebagai berikut.

1. Setelah melakukan panggilan atau melakukan kegiatan dengan iphone anda segera tekan tombol sleep/wake button yang berada pada pagian atas iphone. cara ini berguna agar iphone tidak dalam posisi tidak terkunci sehingga dapat menggurangi ketahanan karena lampu dan layar iphone anda tetap menyala

2. Jangan mensetting Brightness pada iphone dengan set yang terlalu terang, karena selain menyilaukan daya yang dibutuhkan juga akan lebih besar, jadi redupkan Brightness iphone anda

3. Matikan segala koneksi baik wifi atau bluetooth jika tidak digunakan , sederhana sekali tapi terkadang kita lupa melakukannya :)
