Lightology’s rooftop garden is a lush escape from the city streets below. Visitors enjoy a lovely skyline view amid garden boardwalks and       planters constructed from the sustainable Brazilian hardwood ipe. The garden is fully landscaped with flowers and shows off a variety of   exterior lighting fixtures, including recessed LED tiles set in the stone patio. There is a full bar and serving area as well as an audio system with concealed speakers, and a raised platform for a band. The garden is open to the public and can accommodate parties of up to 250.

When skin starts losing its natural glow or appears sallow, chances are it is due to poor hydration. To maintain a healthy, natural and younger appearance, skin needs good hydration.

Hydration comes in two forms; one being a good moisturizer and the other, the consumption of water on a daily basis. A good moisturizer and water will eliminate fine lines, improve the elasticity of your skin and give you skin a healthy glow.

Did you know your skin is an organ and the largest organ in your entire body? Well, now you know and it’s time to care for it from this point on.

What Are The Benefits of Hydration?

As we age, our skin looses the ability to retain a high level of water. Our skin-type also dictates the level of water in our skin. Most people with dry skin have always had a regiment of skin care, because they have to. People with average skin or combination skin, seem to overlook the need for skin care when they are young.

Have you ever seen someone who is in their 60s and 70s and have the most beautiful skin? They have always known the benefits of hydrating their skin and therefore have maintained a beautiful complexion. The same can be said in reverse, seeing someone in the 20s and they already have wrinkles!

The earlier you start using good moisturizers and consuming water, the healthier your skin will be. This goes for both men and women alike!

Caring For Your Skin:

• Always drink plenty of water everyday. There is absolutely no substitute for a healthy body and radiant skin.

• If you drink alcohol in excess, it’s time to try and cut back. Alcohol deprives your skin and your body of needed nutrients and causes aging at a much faster pace. The same should be said, if you smoke. Smoking will cause excessive wrinkles much earlier on, and will cause your skin to look sallow and unhealthy. Try and cut back on both alcohol and smoking if you can.
• Showers and baths will cause you skin to loose natural oils, causing your skin to dry out.  We all need showers and/or baths, just cut back on their lengths and always follow up with a body moisturizer.
• Use a skin-friendly cleanser vs soap. Soap will dry out your skin and can cause irritations if too harsh.
• Whether you are twenty or rounding the corner on sixty, it’s time to pay attention to your skin. Following this advice will not turn your skin around overnight, but you will see a significant change over time.

Don’t Forget Your Lipstick

Disney princesses have hair that never moves. Many brides go for this traditional, unmovable princess up to. However, it just looks stiff and cliché. Try looser hair styles that look more natural instead of crunchy.

Seal In The Beauty

Don’t lose your makeup. Spray your face with a makeup seal spray to ensure you look beautiful all day.

Hair Then Makeup

A common mistake is to apply makeup before doing your hair. The problem is, makeup is often washed off during shampooing or smeared thanks to hairspray. Keep the flawless look by doing makeup second.

Tanning No Nos

Never spray tan the day of your wedding. You’ll end up looking orange, not to mention missing streaks or blotches that may occur. Pale is a much better look. Spray tans should be done no later than two days before your wedding, though earlier is preferred. This also shouldn’t be your first spray tan. Know what you’ll look like before it’s time for your big day. Tanning early gives you time to fix any mistakes and look your best.
