In a way, the event became a reunion for the April Advanced students plus we met Alex (yay!) who ended up going w/ me on the Illamasqua clown event the following day.

We had to recreate Nicci's look on the models. There were eight of us and we had 2 models each. We used Mac Strobe Cream and Face & Body foundation to create a dewy skin, a Sleek palette to create a dark gunmetal smoky eyes, Urban Decay E/S in Virgin to highlight, Kryolan Derma Palette to conceal, a bright pink blusher & matte pink lipstick from Illamasqua. Unfortunately, I cannot provide the exact names of the Illamasqua products because they faded off from the packaging (I hope the brand works on that soon).

After doing the makeup, we went out to grab some food and sat outside to enjoy the lovely summer sun. We popped in the nearby pub (which looks like an abandoned chapel) and was welcomed by two enormous dogs (not sure of the breed). As we were all wearing a "Muse" t-shirt with the words "Backstage Artist" on the back, the guys on the pub thought we were crew from the band Muse! LOL

Anyhow, after that rendezvous we headed back to the Stadium to retouch the models' makeup backstage. We passed by a handful of kick boxers on a mini stage near the entrance. Nicci left early and to Antonia's misfortune she was left to look after us. :P We were given different retouching tasks, mine is the blusher and highlighter. When I saw the models walked on the corridor I told myself - "Damn! I need high heels to do this job." They all had to stoop down so I could reach their cheeks and slap some blusher in there. I felt height conscious for a moment. :P

Overall it was a brilliant experience. I find it more laid back than our end-of-course photo shoot. Even Nicci said it was easy and I didn't doubt that for a bit. Back in Highschool I used to stay up late watching fashion shows on TV and every time they show a backstage clip you see people running back and forth, shouting at someone or screaming for something as if it's the end of the world. Oh I cannot wait to start my additional training at Edinburgh Telford College and hopefully, relocate to London afterwards. ^_^

Link: http://londonmuse.co.uk/talent-rocks-in-oxford-2/
