Happy 2019, dolls! It's been too long...

I have missed you guys and blogging so much; ultimately, life happens and events occur that require more of our time and attention-which is what's going on with me. I still haven't figured everything out yet, but I am committed to being more productive and consistent with my blogging schedule. For 2019 and beyond!

So, for my first post of 2019 I am going to share with you all what I received in my January Ipsy glam bag. My bag was OK this month, but it was a bummer that I was missing a sample, which was the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation.

OUAI Leave In Conditioner
One thing that I like about OUAI hair products is how amazing they smell; this leave-in conditioner being no exception. This mist not only smells delicious, it conditions, protects, detangles, and helps tackle frizz and flyaways.

Nailmedic Nail Polish in Rose and Chill
This Rose gold color is a nice addition to my metallic nail polish collection. The 10-free formula is super easy to work with, fast-drying and infused with rosehip oil and green tea leaf extract which helps strengthen nails.

Fluide Lip Gloss in Elsewhere
How cool is the blue shade of this gloss? No worries though, because it goes on completely sheer. You can sport this gloss by itself or layer it on top of another lipstick to add a shiny effect. Bonus: the blue tint helps make teeth appear brighter!

Yensa Pumpkin Turmeric 2-in-1 Radiance Polishing Mask

I love face masks, so I was happy to see this product in my glam bag. It contains pumpkin to brighten skin, hydroxy acids to boost collagen, and turmeric which has anti-inflammatory properties. I found this scrub to be super gentle on my skin and it left my face feeling amazingly soft. The ginger scent is also so scrumptious!

It's been awhile since I hauled some NYX products. I am very pleased with my recent picks, and I couldn't wait to share my thoughts on them with you all!

Let's get to it!

Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator ($7.50)

This liquid highlighter can be applied strategically on areas of the face where you want to amp up the glow factor like cheekbones, cupid's bow and decolletage. You can even use it before foundation as a base-which is how I like to use it, for an all over glow. This illuminator is the perfect new addition to my summer beauty bag. It feels good on, and it gives my skin a gorgeous radiance that softly peeks through my foundation, without being overwhelming. Shown above is the shade Gleam, a super pretty golden peach.

Lip Lingerie ($7)

I have always wanted to try NYX's Lip Lingerie liquid lipsticks, and for my first foray into the range, I have the shade Teddy, a rich warm brown. I find the formula to be mousse-like and easy to work with. The color is very opaque-one layer is truly all you need, and I like that the matte finish isn't drying or unflattering on the lips. As for longevity, this liquid lipstick won't let you down. It can definitely tag along for a good couple hours.

Lip Lustre Glossy Lip Tint ($7)

This lip tint is a definite summer staple. Lovetopia is a super glossy and intense magenta, that's not for the faint-hearted. The formula feels light and comfortable on the lips, and the tint this leaves behind is no joke. It lasts and lasts!

Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick ($7.00)

I already own a couple of NYX's Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks and I do enjoy them. They come in so many fun colors, and the formula is just effortless. Smooth, lightweight and so very pigmented. They aren't completely transfer-proof since they don't set all the way, but they really don't fade much at all throughout wear time. I guess it's safe to say that these liquid lipsticks have a fascinating way of staying put. The latest shade I have added to my collection is Oh, Put It On, a deep purple.

Slide On Lip Pencil ($8, each)

I really like these lip pencils. They glide on the lips so smoothly thanks to their creamy texture, and they pack a huge color punch. I have the shades Revamp (a dark purple), Disco Rage (a hot pink), Revolution (an emerald green), and Knock Em Red (a classic true red). I think it's pretty rad that the lineup includes a green lip pencil, something I hardly see other brands do. Other lip colors besides those in the nude, red and pink color family deserve a complimentary lip pencil too, right?

Nude Matte Pro and Prismatic Pro Shadow Refills ($4, each) + Custom 4-Shadow Pro Palette ($5)

I was in the mood for a summer eyeshadow palette that I can easily reach for and travel with. So, I decided that building my own custom pro palette with a couple of summer-inspired shadows was the way to go. When it comes to NYX eyeshadows, they can be hit or miss with me; but I am not disappointed by the ones I picked out. Each of the four shades have very good color payoff, and they apply and blend with ease on the lids. Shown above are the shades Fireball (rusty orange) a prismatic pro refill shadow, and three nude matte pro refills in the form of Frisky (burnt orange), Not Today (rusty brown), and Blame It On Midnight (dark peachy beige).

Wicked Lashes ($5-7)

These false lashes are right up my alley. Soft, wispy, and easy to wear. This is the style, Jezebel.

Review│No7 Matte Liquid Lips

It's not everyday that I find a liquid lipstick that's affordable and actually good. When I do, I just have to share it with you all. Not too long ago I got the opportunity to test out a couple of No7's Matte Liquid Lips and I am absolutely loving them!

They come in six gorgeous shades and they all contain such awesome motivational and powerful names. I have the shades Conquer (rich berry), and Courage (plum).

What I really enjoy about No7's Matte Liquid Lips is how comfortable and moisturizing they feel. There is nothing heavy or drying about them, which is a huge plus in my book.

These liquid lipsticks are very nicely pigmented and user friendly; one layer yields enough color payoff that's opaque and even. The flat sponge tip applicator totally rocks and makes these lip colors a cinch to apply. It's super flexible, and it truly makes application quick and precise.

The Matte Liquid Lips set to a soft, demi-matte finish that flatters the lips and doesn't enhance dryness or imperfections. I don't find these liquid lipsticks to be really transfer-proof, though. I kind of expected this since they are super hydrating and don't completely dry down all they way after application. On the plus side, they do leave behind a pretty stain that lasts throughout the day.

Overall
If you are into weightless, moisturizing liquid lipsticks that pack a modest color punch that's perfect for everyday wear, you are probably going to love the No7 Matte Liquid Lips. But if you are looking for a liquid lipstick that's super intense and totally budge-proof, these may not be for you. Personally, I really like the No7 Matte Liquid Lips. They are just so easy to wear and these days, I am all about effortlessness and comfort when it comes to my makeup.

Review│GlamGlow GlowSetter Makeup Setting Spray

I never really have much luck when it comes to GlamGlow products. No matter how much I want to make it work, their hyped about and much-loved face masks just don't agree with my skin. But I have finally found a product from their range that I can totally get on board with. The GlowSetter has become my go-to makeup setting spray. I still love my MAC Fix+ which is what I usually set my makeup with, but the GlowSetter has been really nice to use as well.

Some info on the GlowSetter...

It doesn't just set makeup. It also refreshes, energizes skin and boosts radiance.
Ingredients include green, white and red teas, caffeine, and charged waters which work together to soften and hydrate skin.
This spray is free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

My face can look pretty powdery and cakey after I am done with my makeup application-so annoying! Luckily, the GlowSetter takes care of that problem and quickly eliminates all of that. A few spritzes of this spray and my skin looks like skin again-but better. The mist this dispenses is super fine, so it won't disturb your makeup. It also feels really lightweight on the skin.

I love how my skin glows after using the GlowSetter. It's not an overbearing shine; just a radiance that makes my makeup look more perfected. This also helps intensify my highlighters, which is always a good thing in my book.

This spray smells amazing! I can't really describe the scent other than it being sweet and fresh. Trust me on this one-it's good.

Overall
If you are about that glow life, this setting spray is definitely one to check out. It feels amazing on the skin, it smells lovely, and it will have your skin-and makeup, looking fresh and radiant all day long.

Review│Fenty Beauty Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint

So, I probably didn't need another red lipstick in my collection. But when Fenty Beauty came out with their Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored, I couldn't pass up on it. Good thing I didn't because Uncensored has become one of my most favorite liquid lipsticks. Everything is just so spot-on about it!

A little run-down and my thoughts on the Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint...

The classic hue is universal and made to flatter everyone.
The color is super pigmented and rich.One layer yields opaque coverage.
The packaging is beautiful, and totally unlike anything I have seen before.
The soft matte formula is amazingly comfortable and light on the lips. It doesn't enhance dryness or lip lines like other liquid lipsticks tend to do.
Application is effortless, thanks in part to the applicator that perfectly hugs the contours of the lips, for a smooth, even and streak-free finish.
Once on, the lipstick sets fairly quickly. It's not completely transfer-proof though so a lip liner may help keep the color in place.
It's pretty long-wearing and once it starts to fade, it does so evenly, and leaves behind a strong stain.

Overall
All the other red lip colors in my collection have temporarily been pushed to the side because Uncensored is pretty much all I reach for on days that I want to rock a red lip. I think it's safe to say that I adore this liquid lipstick, and I hope that Fenty Beauty comes out with more Stunna Lip Paint shades in the future. A neon, hot pink one, please!

Review│Royal And Langnickel Omnia Gold Brushes

I came across Royal and Langnickel's Omnia Gold brushes while I was at IMATS NYC last month. I was instantly drawn to their luxurious look and feel. I picked up the domed blush brush, the small eye shader brush, and the large crease brush.

Top To Bottom: Domed Blush, Small Shader, And Large Crease Brushes

Domed Blush ($17.99)

I initially got this brush to use with my powder bronzers-I thought the shape would be ideal for a more precise application. But that didn't really work out for me since this brush doesn't blend powder very well. It works fabulous for what it is actually intended for, though. It really does make dabbing on powder blush to the apples of the cheeks a cinch, with a very natural looking result.

Small Shader ($10.99)

This brush is fantastic for lightly packing on eyeshadow to the small of the lids. So effortless to use.

Large Crease ($13.99)

I can be somewhat picky when it comes to my crease brushes. But this one passed my test. It's the right size for applying and blending out transition colors, and although its a little on the larger side, it still allows room for some control and definition which I can totally appreciate.

Overall

I am for the most part pleased with these Royal And Langnickel Omnia Gold brushes and they are nice new additions to my brush collection. The brushes are all made with natural hairs that feel super soft against the skin; and so far, I haven't seen any shedding going on. I am definitely interested in trying out more brushes from the Omnia Gold line. I have my eye on the contour and highlighter brushes.

Can you believe that Play! By Sephora turned two years old this month? How fast has the time gone, huh? For May's products, Sephora compiled beauty products with amazing formulas, that have garnered a cult-following.

Here is what I received in my May bag!

Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer
I have gone through many samples of this beloved face primer; so much that I have lost count. LOL! It's not my most favorite face primer-I find it a tad drying on my skin. But I can appreciate how well of a job it does at minimizing and blurring the look of my pores.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
This warm and spicy fragrance contains notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and patchouli. I do enjoy the scent of this and I think it makes for a nice summer fragrance.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper

I think I received this same eyeliner in a past Play! bag before? But I am not mad since Kat Von D's Trooper eyeliner is one of my absolute favorites. I just love the super-fine brush tip, which allows me to easily create precise and sharp lines.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop

This is probably the star item in my Play! bag this month. I have always wanted to try this cult-favorite. It's a very much loved and raved about highlighter, and I can see why. It gives the skin such a beautiful glow that's literally out of this world. The powder is so soft and easy to blend. It's also nicely pigmented-a little bit of product goes a long way. As you can probably tell by the picture above, my Champagne Pop highlighter unfortunately got shattered in transit. Ugh! I may try and re-press it when I have some time but until then, I am just going to be super careful with it. I am so happy I got this, though!

Sephora Collection Mud Mask Purifying & Mattifying

This detoxifying mask contains zinc, copper and white clay to help purify skin and absorb excess sebum. It also lessens the appearance of blemishes without overtly drying the skin. Sounds good!

Bumble And Bumble Thickening Volume Hairspray

This hairspray sets and extends your style while adding volume, lift, and a light hold. It's good for all hair types and it's pretty versatile. You can spray some on damp hair before blow drying, and it also makes a pretty good heat protector.

After a much-needed break, I have decided to start back up my Ipsy monthly subscription. I have to admit, I missed getting beauty goodies in the mail every month, and it was something I guess I kind of looked forward to. But, in the event that I want another breather from receiving my monthly Ipsy bags, its nice to know that I can pause my subscription for a couple months. Gotta love those perks!

OK, onto what I received for May!

TonyMoly Painting Therapy Pack

I have always heard good things about TonyMoly's skincare products, so I was really happy to see this face mask in my bag. It contains ingredients like black bamboo charcoal which helps break down dead skin cells and remove impurities, and lava clay and and kaolin clay to detoxify pores. I like that this mask won't dry out the skin, and bonus...it aids in the control of sebum production. See ya, oily skin!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I am a big fan of NYX's soft matte lip creams. They are nicely pigmented, they feel comfortable on the lips, and they have a yummy sweet vanilla scent. Shown is the shade London, a nude peachy-beige that's perfect for everyday.

Adesse New York Gel Effect Nail Polish

This nail color contains a super opaque formula (vegan, cruelty free and non-toxic) that promises to turn it up in the shine-department. I have the shade Oh, Cabana Boy, a creamy pale pastel blue that's most likely going to be one of my summer go-to's!

Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder

This powder is a cult-classic. I am pretty sure I have never tried it before, but it's pretty cool that I got it in my bag this month so I can see for myself what the hype is about. This powder is said to be good for all skin types and it helps control oil, balance skin's moisture levels, and brighten dark spots. This powder sounds like a dream come true! Now I really can't wait to give it a try.

Kensie Loving Life Eau de Parfum

Initially, I wasn't thrilled to see this fragrance in my bag. I have enough perfume samples, and adding more just isn't in my agenda right now. But, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It smells amazing-so fruity and sweet! I may have to invest in the full size because I am obsessed!

Overall, pretty nice bag this month!

Lime Crime Haul / Reviews

I recently hauled a few products from Lime Crime and so far I am super impressed and excited about them all! Before I get to the haul, I want to get a couple of things off my chest when it comes to Lime Crime. I am aware of Lime Crime's scandalous past and although I may not agree with the unfortunate things that have taken place, I do believe (at least I want to) that things can change...and people can change-for the better. Mistakes happen, and all we can do is learn from them so they don't happen again. Personally, I really do like Lime Crime's products, and I am slowly learning to trust the brand again.

With that being said, always trust your judgement when it comes to beauty companies / products. And always do what feels right for you. The choice is always yours no matter what anybody thinks or says.

Okay, now onto the haul and mini reviews!

Pocket Candy Palette

I purchased this eyeshadow palette on a whim, but I am so glad I did because it's really quite lovely. The packaging is super girly and cute-as is all of Lime Crime's packaging, and the eyeshadows are pretty good quality. They are pigmented, easy to blend, and long-wearing. The five colors in the Pink Lemonade palette compliment each other perfectly, and the neutral and reddish tones are right up my alley.

Plushies Soft Focus Lip Veil

Lime Crime's Plushies are the new take on nude lips and liquid lipsticks. The soft focus formula enhances the natural color of your lips, offers a mildly opaque coverage and gives lips a much softer appearance. The Plushies are long wearing, non-drying, and they feel really comfortable on. I was instantly drawn to the sheer mauve hue of Milk Tea, which is so flattering on. Highly recommend!

Diamond Dew

I was so excited to pick up these eyelid toppers. Sparkles on the eyes are super trendy right now, and I love how a bit of extra glitter adds a fun pop to an eye look. The Diamond Dews are so easy to use. Just apply them on top of eyeshadow for a beautiful glitzy effect. Or, you can even use them on bare lids for a more intense look. These are smudge-proof, crease-proof, long wearing, quick-drying, and they don't produce fall-out. Above the shades Starlight, a silver and gold mix, and Chameleon, an iridescent burgundy.

Diamond Crushers

If you are craving some sparkle or the lips, Lime Crime has you covered with their Diamond Crushers. These lip toppers are made up of a water-based formula, that contain light reflective iridescent shimmers. You can apply them on bare lips or layer them over lipsticks. You can also use the Diamond Crushers as a highlighter on the cheeks and anywhere else on the body that you want to add some highlight to (these aren't recommended for use on the eye lids, though). It goes on and feels so smooth on-not gritty whatsoever, and it smells so yummy! I have the shade Cleopatra, a rosy gold that's super opaque and made to stand out.

Diamond Crushers Glinda Cracker Box

Lime Crime offer the Diamond Crushers in three mini bundle sets, which features a few of their best-sellers. The bundles are a nice option if you are looking to try out a few of the shades, without investing in the full size. The Glinda set contains the colors Pink Pearl (an iridescent light pink), Choke (a light pink with a baby blue shift), and Acid Fairy (a lavender with a minty green shift). Such fun hues that pack a huge punch! You have to try these!

Peter Thomas Roth Skin To Die For No-Filter Mattifying Primer & Complexion Perfector
This primer sounds like a great multi-tasker. It helps blur imperfections, reduce the look of pores, keeps shine at bay, and it fills in fine lines.

Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss in SPL
How beautiful is this lip gloss? It goes on sheer and it contains iridescent sparkles that are super on trend right now. This gloss is infused with vitamin e and peppermint oil, which helps moisturize and visually plump lips. I like that this gloss isn't overtly sticky, and it tingles on the lips and smells like yummy vanilla mint.

Miu Miu Ľeau Rosée
This fragrance contains a floral blend of blackcurrant, lily of the valley and musk which come together to create a sophisticated and oh so fresh scent. I am going to keep this sample in my purse come summer.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Perfector
I have actually been on the market for a base that's a little on the lighter side. I adore my full coverage foundations, but I am on the lookout for something that doesn't feel too heavy on the skin that I can sport during the warmer days that are coming ahead. It would be a plus if it would offer a decent amount of coverage, which is what I am hoping will be the case with Make Up For Ever's Ultra HD Perfector. It's a skin tint that blurs imperfections, moisturizes, protects skin with an SPF of 25, and provides a sheer-medium coverage. I can't wait to give this a try!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Poreless Finish Airbrush Pressed Powder

I am no stranger to It Cosmetics' Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder. I received it in an Ipsy bag some months ago and I liked it very much back then. This antioxidant-rich finishing powder is comprised of anti aging peptides, silk and collagen. It promises to give skin a soft airbrushed look, while being lightweight and airy on the skin. I think this powder does an effortless job at diminishing and blurring the look of my pores, and it doesn't feel heavy or look cakey on either, which is a huge plus. The universal translucent color worked out pretty well for me-it didn't give off a white cast, or alter the color of my foundation.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask

I gave this mask a try last night and I am definitely a fan. It really did help refresh, brighten and soften up my dull and dry skin-in just five minutes! I even noticed that my pores looked smaller and more refined. The formula felt gentle on my sensitive skin, and the scent is just amazing and so relaxing.

I was lucky to have had the opportunity to try out a couple of products from YourGoodSkin. And today, I want to share with you all my thoughts so far.

Comforting Gel Cleanser (SRP: $7.49)
This cleanser starts as a thick gel, but immediately turns into a light oil when applied on the skin. It feels so good when I massage it all over my face, and it does a fabulous job at loosening and melting away impurities, oil, and any last trace of makeup that my face wipes couldn't remove. It's so cool to watch the oil change to a milky consistency as I am rinsing it off with warm water. The comforting gel cleanser is probably my favorite item from the bunch-it's so good, and it's unreal how much more nourished, hydrated, and smoother my skin feels after use. I don't use this cleanser everyday-I alternate between this one and the refreshing face wash (below), since this can be a little too rich. But on those particular heavy makeup days, or when my skin isn't looking or feeling so hot and is in need of a little extra TLC, this is what I will reach for.

Energizing Facial Scrub (SRP: $8.49)
This scrub is nice. It removes the dead skin cells without being harsh on my sensitive skin. I use the energizing facial scrub twice a week and each time I am left with softer, brighter and a healthier looking complexion.

Refreshing Face Wash (SRP: $7.49)
This face wash is what I usually cleanse my face with, when I am not using the comforting gel cleanser. It thoroughly cleanses without being harsh or drying on my skin. I love that the bottle comes with a pump!

Balancing Skin Concentrate (SRP: $19.99)

I bid adieu to my 20's not too long ago, and I have come to realize that I need to really start looking after my skin. I have to. I want to. I was never one for concentrates, but I am very much welcoming them into my skincare routine. I think the balancing skin concentrate from YourGoodSkin is a nice addition for me. It's clinically proven to improve skin texture, tone, moisture levels, oiliness and radiance. In just 28 days (applied two times a day, morning and night) skin will be visibly healthier. Contrary to some other concentrates, this one absorbs quickly into the skin and feels so weightless-I literally can't feel it on my skin. It also layers well under moisturizers and makeup. I haven't been using this concentrate for too long, so it's not been 28 days yet. But I can say that so far, this concentrate has softened my skin texture and it's improved my uneven tone some. My skin also feels more hydrated often than dry nowadays, and I don't seem to be oily very much. I am looking forward to seeing some more results overtime, with continued use.

SPF 30 Anti-Oxidant Day Cream (SRP: $12.99)

It's been a long time since I have been so impressed by an SPF day cream. This one seems to tick all of the boxes for me. It's hydrating, it's lightweight, it doesn't impart a white cast on my face, it layers well under makeup, it absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving behind a greasy residue, and the sunscreen fragrance isn't overwhelming. The anti-oxidant day cream is also paraben and oil-free, which is a huge bonus!

Don't get me wrong, I like Ipsy and for the last couple of years it's been fun going though the surprise and receiving different bags each month along with the beauty, hair and skincare products that are in them. But lately, I just haven't been feeling all that excited about the products I have been getting. I don't know if it's because I am all sampled out or if the items picked out for me are becoming redundant but for now, I don't think I can roll with the glam bags anymore.

I might come back to Ipsy in the near future but I have to admit, I am itching to try a new beauty subscription. Let me know in the comments which are your favorites!

Luxie Beauty Blending And Shading Eye Brush 249
I have tried my fair share of brushes by Luxie Beauty and none of them have truly impressed me. I hope this one changes my opinion. One side of the brush is tapered which will surely help with packing on eyeshadow, while the other brush is fluffier to help blend. The bristles are pretty soft, and they are also synthetic.

Naked Cosmetics Vanilla Creme Lip Scrub
I received a lip scrub in last month's bag, and I got one this month too. Now, I can appreciate a good lip scrub but...really? Again? Anyways, this lip scrub contains moisturizing oils and vitamin e which help hydrate and soften lips. I love the sweet vanilla scent in this scrub-it's delicious!

IBY Beauty Radiant Glow Highlighter in 24K Magic
I literally can't have enough highlighters in my collection, so I was excited to have received this one from IBY Beauty. Unfortunately, this powder highlighter is just too pigmented for my skin tone. But, although the shade isn't right for me, I think this would be a fantastic highlighter for beauties with medium-deep skin tones. The glow this imparts on the skin is so beautiful and very intense!

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil in M-10 Matte Black
Thanks to beauty subscriptions, I am well stocked up on black eyeliner pencils. This one from Make Up For Ever is super creamy and very opaque.

BioBelle Perfecting Primer Facial Mask
Well, this is a first for me. I have never came across a primer in a face mask form. This sheet mask helps minimize pores, boost texture, and even skin tone. It contains tea tree oil, rosehip extract and vitamin c which helps hydrate, smooth, and add a glow to the skin.

How stunning is this teal blue shade? It's bold, creamy and shiny just how I like it. I can see myself sporting this one frequently in the spring and summer months!

Trust Fund Beauty Lip Scrub

I really like this lip scrub. It quickly got rid of the dry and flaky bits on my lips, and left them super soft and supple. This lip scrub is paraben free, cruelty free and vegan.

Kokie Cosmetics Kissable Liquid Lipstick in Desire

I wasn't really too fond of this liquid lipstick. It felt a little uncomfortable and drying on my lips. On the plus side, I did think the soft pink/mauve color was pretty.

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer

I am no stranger to theBalm's Mary-Low Manizer-it's actually one of my all time favorite highlighters. It imparts a beautiful glow on the skin that's not for the faint-hearted. Highly recommend if you like highlighters that are on the intense side.

Absolute New York Eye Artiste Single Shadow in VIP

Although this eyeshadow is lovely and has a promising texture/formula, I already have lots of other eyeshadows that are similar to this shimmery golden bronze in my collection. I think I am going to pass this one along to a friend who will surely love it!

This month's Sephora Play! bag is jump-starting 2018 with a whole new routine, that primarily focuses on hydration. And we can all use some of that, right? Especially now during the cold season where dry and thirsty skin seems to be the norm.

Here are the items I received:

Clinique-Pep Start Eye Cream
This eye cream contains peptides that help moisturize, refresh and brighten the under-eye area. I have been on the market for a new eye cream, so I am glad I have this one to try out. I love the bright orange tube!

GlamGlow SuperCleanse Clearing Cream-to-Foam Cleanser
Thanks to beauty subscriptions, I have had the opportunity to sample quite a few bits from GlamGlow. Unfortunately, I can't seem to fall in love with any of the products. I find their masks too harsh for my skin, which can be sensitive at times. Hopefully this cleanser will be more enjoyable to use. It's a cream to foam cleanser that helps clear pores and eliminate traces of oil and makeup, without stripping skin of moisture.

Fresh Rose Floral Toner
It's been awhile since I last used a facial toner. This one by Fresh provides moisture that lasts all day, it contains rosewater to soothe, clarify and hydrate skin, and it refreshes for a healthy looking complexion. It's also alcohol free, which is nice. This toner is useful for prepping the skin before the application of serums and creams, to set makeup, and to give the skin a quick boost if it feels stressed and needs a little pick-me-up throughout the day.

Lancome Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base
Lancome's Cils Booster XL conditions and preps lashes for a smooth mascara application, for a whole lot of drama. This base contains vitamin e and microfibers that not only help make your lashes look fuller and longer, but also more rejuvenated and nurtured. I really need to incorporate mascara primers more into my routine because they really do make a huge difference when it comes to the look and length of lashes. Not to mention, my lashes can definitely use a little TLC.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer
I am totally intrigued by this primer and moisturizer hybrid. It's literally like the best of both worlds when it comes to getting the skin ready for makeup application. In addition to prepping and replenishing skin with moisture, this primer also contains hyaluronic acid which plumps skin, and it dries and sets quicker than your average primer.

Alterna Haircare Caviar Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner duo is infused with age-defying proteins, vitamins and minerals for hair that looks and feels silky. It provides strands with lots of moisture, as well as color and UV protection.

A Little T.J. MAXX And Marshalls Haul

I stopped by Marshalls and T.J. Maxx the other day, and scored some really sweet beauty finds. I want to share my small haul with you guys today, and I want to know if any of these items are ones you have tried before and/or love. I am pretty pleased with everything I got and I think they are great new additions to my collection.

Too Faced Under The Kissletoe The Ultimate Melted Liquefied Lipstick Set (12.99 at Marshalls)

The moment I spotted this set, I had to pick it up. I have never tried any of Too Faced's lip products from their Melted lineup so this kit-which features their best selling shades, was definitely a good excuse to finally do so.

The four deluxe-sized lip colors are...

Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Drop Dead Red: This Deep Mulberry is super intense. The formula didn't feel too drying on the lips, and I noticed that I have to work fast when applying this lipstick because it sets almost instantly.
Melted Chocolate Liquified Lipstick in Chocolate Honey: This cool nude is one of my favorites in the set. The color is so easy to wear and it's so flattering on. The formula is smooth and feels nice, and I enjoy how this lip color makes my pout look healthy and plumper. And did I mention it smells like chocolate? Yum!
Melted Liquified Lipstick in Chihuahua: When I think of a my-lips-but-better color, the dusty mauve hue of Chihuahua comes to mind. This is one of those lipsticks that I can reach for when I don't want to fuss too much with my makeup, but still want to look put together. Lovely formula, nice pigmentation, effortless standby.
Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipstick in Hopeless Romantic: This feels more like a super shiny and pigmented gloss to me, rather than a lipstick. The texture of this is super thick and heavy. I don't mind it too much since I know it will be long-wearing. It took me awhile to get used to the warm nude hue since I wasn't too fond of how it looked like on my lips at first. But I have come to appreciate it and the color slowly grew on me. This is the sort of shade that I like to pair up with a smokey eye.

Clean Sweep Make-Up Brush Pad ($3.99 at Marshalls)
I have been wanting to get one of these brush pads since...forever! They really come in handy when you need to quickly remove powder makeup from your brushes, when switching between shades during color application. I can't even begin to tell you all how annoying it is when my eyeshadow colors mix in with one another, and throws off my eye look. Now, thanks to this brush pad, I can conveniently apply and blend my eyeshadows without worrying about a weird color outcome.

Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss ($6.99 at T.J. Maxx)
I think it's pretty neat that this gloss is made from natural organic and food grade ingredients. It also contains Resveratrol which repairs lips and imparts antioxidant benefits. The texture of the gloss is on the thicker side, but it doesn't really feel uncomfortable on the lips. This gloss plays nice on the lips; it sits beautifully atop the lips, without sinking in or accentuating lip lines. I got this gloss in the shade cocoa, an opaque creamy nude that's effortless and right up my alley.

Miamica 3 Zip Jetsetter Travel Pocket ($3.99 at T.J. Maxx)
Not really beauty related but I couldn't resist adding this travel pouch to my basket. I already own and am a huge fan of Miamica's products. They make packing, organizing and traveling so easy . This is definitely coming in my bag with me on my next getaway adventure!

Review│NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

When NARS released their new Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, I was all for it. Truth be told, I probably didn't need another foundation in my collection but there was something about this particular foundation from NARS that had me intrigued. I am not sure what exactly it was that drew me in but I am glad I went with my intuition because I may have possibly have found my new Holy Grail foundation!

NARS' Natural Radiant Foundation is pretty darn ideal in my book. It offers a medium-full coverage, it has a lovely and lightweight texture that blends seamlessly on the skin, it plays well with my combination skin-it doesn't accentuate dryness nor does it make my skin any oilier, and best of all it truly is long wearing (NARS says it offers up to 16 hours of wear). Trust me, this stuff won't fade or budge for hours!

I have the shade Light 5 Fiji, which is a very good match for my light skin tone which contains yellow undertones. If it helps, I am a MAC NC 25, for reference.

A few other bits about NARS' Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation that are worth mentioning:

It's paraben free
It's available in 33 shades with different tones and undertones to match everyone
It's free of oils, fragrances, it's non-drying, noncomedogenic and it's dermatologist tested
The formula is made up of a translucent base combined with pigments coated with micronized amino acid, and tone-balancing mineral powders that mimic skin tone for the closest match
The foundation also contains ingredients that help treat skin, by improving the appearance of it over time for a more radiant complexion

The NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation imparts a satin, demi-matte finish on the skin that looks absolutely breathtaking. My skin still looks like skin, but better. That little hint of radiance also peeks through from the foundation, which adds the perfect touch.

The foundation comes housed in a long glass bottle, which is typical NARS in that it's very sleek and modern. I love the inclusion of a pump, which makes dispersing the product easy and mess-free.

Overall
I think it's safe to say that I am head over heels in love with NARS' Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. I can't believe I am about to say this but, there is literally nothing I don't like about this foundation. And I don't think I have ever said that about a product.

Seriously, head on over to Sephora or your nearest NARS counter to see this foundation in person and give it a test. I know the price is a little steep (that $49 does hurt my wallet, ugh) but if you don't want to commit to the full size just yet, you can get samples of the foundation at Sephora to take home and properly try out.

Review│Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter Pressed Illuminating Powder In French Vanilla

When Kylie Cosmetics came out with the Kylighter Pressed lluminating Powders, I was a little hesitant to purchase one because of all the mixed reviews. Some loved it, and some didn't really get the hype surrounding it. I have a few standards when it comes to my ideal highlighting powder. It has to have a soft texture, it has to be seamless on the skin, it shouldn't overly emphasize pores/texture, and the effect has to be somewhat intense.

During a holiday sale on the Kylie Cosmetics website a couple months ago, I decided then to get my hands on one of the Kylighters to try for myself. From the six colors in the lineup, I decided on French Vanilla, which is an icy gold hue.

The highlighter comes housed in a lightweight cardboard compact, that contains a generously sized mirror inside. The imprint of Kylie Cosmetics' signature drip is present on the powder and adds a fun touch.

The highlighter is really smooth and is farly easy to blend onto the skin (I like to apply it with my Anastasia Beverly Hills A23 brush). The powder looks seamless on and doesn't bring much attention to, or enhance imperfections either.

Although French Vanilla is really pretty color, I don't know if it was the right option for my skin tone (I am a MAC NC 25, for reference). I have to take some time to work the powder into my skin very well, in order for it not to appear pale and obvious on me. It's an extra step I have to do, but I guess I can make it work. With that being said, I think French Vanilla may be better suited for beauties who are on the fair side.

As for the glow-factor, this Kylighter isn't really as intense as some of my other pressed highlighting powders. The effect is a little subtle at first, so you definitely have to build this up if you want a more apparent highlighted effect. Even then, I don't think the end-result is very strong.

Overall
The Kylie Cosmetics Pressed Illuminating Powder is not too shabby, and I am glad that I got to try it out for myself to form my own opinion on it. In all honesty though, I think there are better highlighting powders out there. I don't know if I am being too harsh here but, it's just that I prefer something that stands out and makes a statement, and I don't feel like I get that with this highlighter. A couple of powder highlighters that I highly recommend are theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer, Anastasia Beverly Hill's So Hollywood Illuminator, and Fenty Beauty's Killawatt Freestyle Highlighting Duos.

Review│Kylie Cosmetics In Love With The Koko Liquid Lip Collection

Hey, dolls! I hope the new year is being kind to you all so far. I was so ready to see 2017 go. To be honest, it wasn't really one of the best years for me. But I am fully embracing and welcoming 2018 and the new experiences it will bring.

Today I am going to review for you the Kylie Cosmetics In love With The Koko Liquid Lip Collection, which was done in collaboration with big sis Khloe.

The set contains three matte liquid lipsticks and a gorgeous, dazzling gloss.

I'm all for the shiny gold tubes of the liquid lip colors. They have a pretty nice weight to them, and they are super glam. The matte liquid lipsticks come with an angled tip sponge applicator, and the gloss contains a small brush applicator. There are all so easy to apply, with very clean and precise results.

I am no stranger to Kylie Cosmetics' matte liquid lipsticks. Like the rest, the matte liquid lipsticks in this set are super intense when it comes to color payoff. One-two layers yields full and even coverage. I wouldn't say that these-or the other matte liquid lipsticks in the Kylie Cosmetics range, are the most moisturizing liquid lipsticks out there (strange since these contain moisturizing ingredients); but they don't really feel uncomfortable or heavy on the lips. They can enhance flakes and dryness though, so make sure to prep lips before applying. These matte liquid lipsticks are fairly long wearing, more so when it comes to the brighter shades. They dry and set really quickly too.

As for the gloss, it contains vitamin e and other ingredients that help hydrate and moisturize. It also has natural enhancers which provide volume to lips. I have been all about liquid lipsticks for some time now, and I have totally been neglecting my glosses. That needs to change because I am really enjoying this gloss. The nude with the shimmers is so gorgeous, and I love how juicy and plump my lips look when I wear this. The gloss is on the thicker side, but I like that since the texture just adds to it's lasting power.

In case you were wondering, yes the matte liquid lipsticks and gloss are scented. I would describe the fragrance as fruity with a hint of sweetness. It's not my favorite but I guess I can tolerate it since it doesn't linger for too long.

Overall

If you are into lip colors like these, the In Love With The Koko Liquid Lip Collection by Kylie Cosmetics is a pretty nice set to look into-especially if you have been curious to try some lip products from Kylie Cosmetics. My favorites from the set are the Sugar Plum gloss, and the Doll and Bunny matte liquid lipsticks. I think the $40 price for the set is a pretty good deal, considering that the original price of a single Kylie Cosmetics matte liquid lipstick is $17, and a gloss goes for $15.

Review│Dose Of Colors Blushing Berries Eyeshadow Palette

Dose Of Colors recently released two brand new 5 pan, matte eyeshadow palettes. They are both gorgeous and just absolute must-haves. If you are into peachy and rusty hues, the Sassy Siennas palette has got you covered. But if you lean towards the plum and berry tones, the Blushing Berries palette wont disappoint.

Although I like the Sassy Siennas palette, the Blushing Berries palette was the one that appealed to me most. There is just something about berry-hued eyeshadows that I can't resist during the winter and holiday season.

I am already familiar with Dose Of Colors' awesome eyeshadow formula (I reviewed their Baked Browns eyeshadow palette a while ago), and the eyeshadows in the Blushing Berries palette are no exception. They are consistently smooth, easy to blend, and super pigmented.

I typically favor shimmered and frosty eyeshadows but I sure can appreciate a good matte eyeshadow. And that's exactly what these are. Like I mentioned with the Baked Browns palette, the matte finish on Dose Of Colors' eyeshadows are literally perfection. All five of the eyeshadows in the Blushing Berries palette look smooth on the lids, and they are very forgiving in that they don't enhance folds or lines.

When it comes to fall-out, I experience very little-if any. And as for staying power, these eyeshadows last all day on top of a primer.

I am having so much fun creating looks with Dose Of Colors' Blushing Berries eyeshadow palette. The other day I did a smokey eye that I absolutely loved. I applied Berry Chic on my crease as a transition color, then layered Rose Berry on top to define the crease more. With a flat shader brush I patted on some Berry Pop all over on my lid area, Lastly applied a bit of Mixed Berries and Berry Black on the outer corners of my lid for some extra depth and smoke. For my lower lash line, I smudged Rose Berry and Berry Pop. I also added and smudged Berry Black Right up against the waterline. To finish the eyes, just add some mascara and false lashes.

Love, love, love this eyeshadow palette! Highly recommend!

Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is probably the highlight of the entire Fenty Beauty range, I think. For many of us, it's hard to find a shade match when it comes to foundations and truthfully, it can be pretty discouraging sometimes. Enter Fenty Beauty-a brand that's all about inclusivity (love that!), to forget about the standards and bring us a ground-breaking foundation lineup that consists of 40 shades, in a variety of colors and tones. From the palest of hues to the richest tones and everything in between, there is finally a foundation line that all of us can experience and enjoy. And that makes me so so so happy.

The Pro Filt'r Soft Matte foundation is comprised of a long wearing formula that imparts a soft matte finish, while offering a medium-full buildable coverage. It gives skin a smooth appearance, tones down shine, and helps diffuse the look of pores. This foundation is oil free, not pore clogging, and contains a "climate-adaptive technology" that's impervious to sweat and humidity. How cool is that?!

So, here's the deal. I really do like this foundation. But it did take me awhile to realize how different it was to other foundations. When I first gave the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte foundation a try, I wasn't very keen on how it looked on my skin. The foundation clung to dry patches and pooled into my pores. My skin looked rough, man; I was anticipating that soft, filter-like finish which I just didn't see. I was super disappointed, to say the least.

After a couple of trials, I finally got the grasp of how this foundation worked. Based on my experience, this foundation is one of those that look better the longer it's on. Give the foundation a couple minutes to settle on your skin, and that's when you will see all of those awesome features.

After applying the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte foundation and waiting a bit, my face looks nearly airbrushed, so much softer, and my pores are more refined and less noticeable. The semi-matte finish looks beautiful and very natural against my skin, and it does a lovely job at eliminating the shine on my oil prone areas. This foundation is pretty long-wearing, and I don't really feel the need to set my face or touch up throughout the day since it hangs on so well.

Note: I have combination skin (oily t-zone, dry everywhere else) and although this foundation has worked out well with my skin, I would advise beauties with dryer skins to try on a sample of this foundation first, just to make sure it gives you the results you want. I suggest this because I have read lots of reviews about this foundation not being very suitable for dry skin.

This foundation has a thin but creamy consistency that's easy to blend and work with. It feels lightweight on the skin, and the medium coverage is indeed buildable to a fuller one.

As I mentioned before, Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation comes in 40 shades, which is amazing! I have the shade 180, which is a good option for those with light skin and warm undertones. I think the color matches me pretty well. I am a MAC NC25 for reference. For those wondering, there is a scent to this foundation, and it's the same fragrance as the one in the Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer (review). But unlike the primer, the scent in the foundation does linger on the skin. It's not overtly offensive, but I think I would have preferred this foundation to be fragrance-free.

Overall

This foundation gets two thumbs up from me! It's already one of my staples and I am very much enjoying it. Plus, it's very reasonably priced which is super nice. Continuing my Fenty Beauty coverage here on the blog, today I am going to be featuring the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighting Duo in Lighting Dust + Fire Crystal. The Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter lineup consists of four duos and two solo powders that pack a serious punch when it comes to glowing up the skin. The range is comprised of many shades and tones that compliment an array of skin tones; the powders each have a certain level of intensity, so you can either go more subtle with it, or turn the glow factor all the way up. The choice is yours.

The Killawatt Freestyle Highlighters can be used on the eyes, face, lips, collarbone, and anywhere else you may want to add some luminosity.

I just had to get my hands on Fenty Beauty's Killawatt Freestyle Highlighting Duo in Lighting Dust + Fire Crystal, which contains a soft and intense pearlescent shimmer. For daytime or minimal makeup days, Lightning Dust makes for the perfect touch by giving off a visible glow on my skin, that's natural looking and not over the top. Fire Crystal on the other hand, will not disappoint if you want a highlight that stands out.

Both powders from the Lighting Dust and Fire Crystal duo are so easy to use, and look super flattering on. I like to apply the powders on the high points of my face like the top of cheekbones, nose bridge and tip, and cupid's bow. The finish is smooth, and the glow is unreal and simply made to stand out, no matter how toned down or loud the highlight is.

These powders are weightless and long wearing. They have a beautiful cream-powder hybrid sort of texture, that becomes one with the skin once applied/blended on.

Fenty Beauty came through with the packaging of the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighting powders-as with all of the other products in the lineup, really. It's sleek, modern, and there is a generously-sized mirror on the interior.

For November's Julep box, I skipped the polish and instead opted for a cuticle cream that does wonders when it comes to moisturizing, and a sheet mask treatment that's unlike anything I have tried before.

Your Cuticles Look Thirsty
This cuticle cream is infused with a blend of ingredients that set out to get your cuticles in tip top shape. There is Shea butter to moisturize, honey to heal and soothe, salicylic acid to brighten and get rid of dead skin cells, and vitamin B5 to help get the ingredients to quickly penetrate into the skin so no greasy residue will be left behind. I am really enjoying this cuticle cream. In fact, it's just what I needed since this cold season is wrecking havoc on my cuticles. This cream instantly softens and gives my cuticles some much needed moisture. Not to mention, it feels so refreshing on the skin when I apply it and massage it in.

Triple Quench Deep Hydration Sheet Mask System
This is a 3-step treatment that deeply hydrates and nourishes skin, to reveal a brighter, softer and a plumper-looking complexion. The first step is to prep the skin with the essence which helps your skin better absorb the products. Next, you apply the hydrating and repairing bio-cellulose (all natural material that's made from coconut water and coconut pulp, that prevents the serum from evaporating away) gel sheet mask and leave it on for 15 minutes. Last but not least, apply a thin layer of the sleeping pack to seal in the nutrients and hydration. I haven't had the chance to give this mask a try yet but it sounds amazing and so promising. I am pretty sure I am going to love it!

Review│Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer

I can't believe I haven't gotten around to posting my Fenty Beauty reviews! I picked up a couple of products back when Fenty Beauty made it's debut in September, and let me say, I have been having lots of fun trying everything out. I have definitely encountered a couple of gems, and I can't wait to share my thoughts on them with you guys over the next several posts.

The products in the Fenty Beauty lineup are comprised of lightweight formulas with buildable coverage, that "make skin look like skin. Fenty Beauty is all about inclusivity, with products that will work for a wide range of skin types and skin tones (the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation comes in 40 different shades!). Everything in the Fenty Beauty range is effortless, refreshing, and beautiful. With the line quickly expanding with new products, there is literally something for everyone.

Today, I want to chat about the Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer, which is unlike any other primer I have tried.

Review
The Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer creates a smooth canvas for foundation application by absorbing shine, diffusing the look of pores, and evening out skin tone and texture. It comes in a slim and sleek frosted glass bottle, that contains a pump dispenser.

Upon first applying the Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer-I use one pump to cover my whole face, the creamy formula quickly absorbs into my skin, giving it a smoother look and feel. It doesn't cling to dry bits, and I would go far as to say it's even a little moisturizing too, which is a nice surprise since many primers I have encountered aren't. The primer is comfortable and lightweight on the skin, and I like that it doesn't dry down totally matte; it allows a radiance to peek through my skin which I just love. This primer does tone down any shine I may have (my t-zone area is where I get oily the most), and it helps make my skin more uniform in tone I have noticed.

The Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer contains a soft pink hue that goes on translucent. It's also scented, which I don't mind since scent dissipates after awhile on the skin.

Pro Filt'r contains something called an "invisipink" formula (it does have a soft pink hue which goes on translucent) that creates a trace-less, blurred and filtered effect on all skin tones. My pores and skin are definitely softened and more refined when I have on Pro Filt'r. The effect and feel is so nice, that I would totally feel comfortable just rocking this primer on it's own. On my combination skin, I find that this primer helps prolong the wear of my foundation/face makeup-for the most part. Even though Pro Filt'r started off strong when it came to absorbing the oils on my skin when I first applied it, I see shine start peeking through my oily areas after a couple hours. It's not too much of a big deal for me though, since I can just easily touch up with a light dusting of powder.

But if your skin is on the oily side, I suggest first trying a sample of this primer, to see how well it performs on your skin.

Overall
Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer is probably one of the most unique face primers I have encountered. The creamy texture of the primer is super pleasant when compared to traditional primers, that have a silicone consistency. The soft and blurred effect this primer imparts on my skin is right up my alley, and I appreciate the moisture boost that this primer offer. Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer is undoubtedly going to make a great addition to my beauty routine during the colder season when dry skin seems to be inevitable. I didn't think Pro Filt'r performed very well at keeping my oils at bay, but it did help my foundation last everywhere else on my face that doesn't have an oily issue.

Review│Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation

Huda Beauty's highly anticipated #FauxFilter foundation is finally here, and it's already generating quite the buzz among beauty enthusiasts. I knew I wanted to get my hands on the foundation as soon as I found out about it since I love trying out the latest and greatest when it comes to foundations. From what I have seen, the reviews for the #FauxFilter foundation have been pretty mixed so far. Some love it, some don't. I on the other hand, fall into the love it category. Honestly, I think I may have found my new holy grail foundation.

Huda Beauty's #FauxFilter foundation sets out to visibly even and smooth skin texture by diminishing the look of imperfections such as redness, blemishes, scars and hyper-pigmentation. It contains super refined pigments as well as argan oil, to help add hydration to the skin. The fade-proof formula offers a full coverage, and a radiant soft-focus matte finish.

The foundation comes in a sleek, lightweight bottle that contains a pump dispenser-love that. The texture of the foundation is on the creamy side, but it's not superbly thick. It goes on the skin nicely, it doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable on the skin, and it blends really easy (I like to apply this foundation with a dense buffing brush, like the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush).

Huda Beauty's #FauxFilter foundation range is comprised of 30 shades, which is fabulous. Based on the color descriptions on the Sephora website, I color-matched myself to Chai 210B (for ultra light skin that contains beige and golden undertones) and it turned out to actually be a great match for my skin tone. In MAC terms I am an NC25, for reference. Oh, and in case you were wondering, I don't see much oxidation going on with this foundation. I guess I could say that it gets just a pinch darker after awhile, but it's definitely not something that will throw you off, or extremely noticeable.

When it comes to coverage, this stuff is no joke! One pump-half of that on some days, is pretty much all I need for a full coverage. Of course if you want to go a little extra on the coverage, this foundation is buildable. The effect this foundation imparts on my skin is just beautiful. Flawless, airbrushed, healthy and smooth. I appreciated that this foundation didn't really emphasize dryness on my skin, which most matte foundations tend to do. Speaking of matte, although #FauxFilter has a matte finish, it's a very radiant kind. It's not a matte that looks flat and mask-like on the skin.

I am so impressed at how well the #FauxFilter foundation held up on my skin. I have combination skin (oily t-zone, dry everywhere else), and this foundation looked just as good at the end of the day, as it did when I first applied it. I had it on for about 9 hours or so, and throughout the wear time I didn't have to touch-up any areas since the foundation stayed in tact and didn't migrate around the skin. It even kept my oil/shine at bay!

I typically set all of my foundations with a powder, but with the #FauxFilter foundation I don't really feel the need to do that, since I very much like how it wears and looks on my skin without the addition of a powder. I will say, that the foundation does feel a tiny bit tacky on the skin. I don't think it truly fully sets, but this is something that doesn't really bother me. It's just something to keep in mind.

There is somewhat of an obvious fragrance in this foundation. I can't describe what it is exactly, but I personally don't find it to be offensive. On me, the scent lingers away after awhile, and I don't notice it anymore.

Along with the foundation, the box also contained a sample of the Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection Pre-Makeup Base. I haven't gotten around to giving it a try yet, but it sounds nice.

Overall
I love love love Huda Beauty's #FauxFilter foundation! The full coverage and radiant matte finish are right up my alley, and the longevity is the icing on the cake. If I could change one thing about this foundation, it would probably be to make it fragrance-free; just because I know a lot of people aren't too fond of the scent in this. But overall, I couldn't be anymore pleased with a foundation and I have recently shoved aside all of my other foundations, since I am currently all about that Huda Beauty #FauxFilter foundation life!

After a bit of a hiatus, I decided to opt in for Julep's October Maven box. Being that it's Autumn, I was in the mood for some new nail colors, more specifically-shimmery jewel tones. I picked up a couple of colors that I think are just fabulous, and they make wonderful additions to my collection. I also picked up a liquid lip color with an airy texture that feels great on the lips.

I couldn't be anymore excited about the three nail colors I chose this month. They are each so beautiful, and so rich in pigment...there is no doubt that they will be in constant rotation this winter. Christi is a stunning teal shimmer and the one that I am currently sporting on my nails-love, Rendee is an ultraviolet matte shimmer that looks super cool, and Alonna is a purple shimmer that's just a dream to look at.

It's pretty hard for me to resist a red lip color, so I had to add the It's Whipped Matte Lip Mousse to my October box. At Midnight is a timeless fireball red matte that will never go out of style. The bold hue is super flattering on me, and I seem to enjoy the formula of the lip mousse for the most part-it's smooth, lightweight, pigmented, non-drying, and leaves a pretty stain. My only small concern with this lip mousse is that it doesn't fully set on the lips. Some of the color does transfer, and even migrates outside of the lip line-a lip liner would come in handy in this situation. Julep's It's Whipped Lip Mousse contains finely milled pigments that help provide an opaque color payoff, as well as rosehip seed oil which adds some nourishment, protection and hydration to lips.
