The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream

The recent cold British weather has been playing havoc with my skin and especially my body, so I went on the hunt for products to help aid hydration. First up was The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream:
There isn't any need to ramble on too much about this product, it's a 'does what it says on the tin' kinda product, a rich lathering shower cream. The main ingredient in this product, as well as it's sister products, is shea butter known for it's ability to provide long lasting hydration to the skin. It is also full of essential fatty acids, a cocktail of antioxidants and vitamins A, D & E, as well as many other skin loving properties that are great for protecting and nourishing skin. Shea is a real 'super food' extract for skin, it great at preventing dehydration, protecting from pollution in the environment and aids the skins own ability to cope with harsh climates. So all the jumping from inside and out that we know messes with out skin is reduced with one little ingredient - impressive. If you have naturally dry skin or like me find that in winter you tend to have to reach for richer formulations, then this is a great shower product. The formulation is 'soap-free' so it won't dry out your skin, the shea cream does feel creamy as it lathers up. The slightly nutty scent is pleasant, not too strong but you certainly know what it is. Overall this surprised me at how well a shower product can go to providing hydration on it's own, paired with a body butter and you will feel silky smooth all day long. Definitely worth the price and will have it's place in the bathroom reserved from now on.

Brighten up your nails with Nails Inc

Each season Nails Inc do a fabulous job at creating great colours that match the trends and sometimes a stand out nail colour can make a huge difference with the way your outfit will look. I'm absolutely loving Covent Garden Place right now, I'm back into my bright nail colours after the gloomy weather London has had recently, it's nice to have a pop of colour. Doll10 Lip Wardrobe - Lipsticks & Glosses

Doll 10 isn't a very big brand in the UK and I know sometimes it's a risk trying new brands but they are well worth it especially the lip products. These lipsticks and glosses are from the 'Lip Wardrobe' line, which is pretty unique in that you can click your choice of lipstick and gloss together to form a longer wand, which takes a way the hassle of rooting around in your bag for your gloss after putting on your lippie. The formulation of this range is great, both have great pigmentation giving you a full colour but they still feel creamy and smooth on. They are formulated with collagen tri-peptides and paired with hyaluronic spheres, that will help to keep your lips hydrated and help to reduce the appearance of any fines line and wrinkles around the lip. They also have something Doll10 call Dura Quench IQ, which gives your lips superior hydration, so one swipe will leave you with smooth, supple lips that are perfect for kissing. Who doesn't want irresistible kissable lips for Valentines? You get a full sized lipstick and gloss, so don't think because of the way the packaging is and that you are clicking them together the sizes are smaller, I have to say both are bigger than some other brands I love. The packaging is pretty too with them being rose gold each with a silver base, with the Doll10 'D' logo being printed on each. The gloss comes with the standard doe-foot applicator and much like the lipstick gives create coverage for being a gloss. It is mildly sticky but only just, it certainly is a creamier feel that most glosses out there. Both last well on my lips, I also use the Doll10 invisible lip liner that helps to stop any feathering and add extra life to the products.
The colour selection in the range is also impressive, with everything from a very pale nude, to warmer nudes and pink, with brighter pinks, reds and a gorgeous berry tone too. I like the way that each lipstick has a coordinating lip gloss, so it takes the time out of trying to match the perfect colour to compliment it. Most of the range in the lipsticks tend to be more of a creamy satin finish, with a few that have a subtle shimmer/frost to them. The glosses are similar again in that most have a creamy look, with again a couple that have more of a shimmer shot through. I am in love with the products, from the concept with the packaging to the creamy smooth formulas and glossy finish.

#Instaglam Contouring with Rodial

You know when you discover a product and it immediately becomes a daily must have, one you cannot live without? Yet despite how much you have been using it you completely forget to mention it. Well that has happened with the Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Contouring Powder (what a long name!). I went along to the launch of Rodial's new sculpting bar in Harvey Nichols before Christmas to see what the bar and the new make-up range launching was all about. After having my make-up done at the event I was kindly sent this to try out as I loved how it was applied on me. The new range of make-up from Rodial is all focused on sculpting the skin, using colour rather than skincare to achieve this. Maria Hatzistefanis, the founder of Rodial, worked for over three years perfecting the formulations and products, giving us as the customer some great products. The entire range is pretty much all shades of taupe, beige and nude brown's, not a hint of orange in sight, ensuring the flawless sculpted look you create looks natural. Maria has striked a great combination with great products that are easy to use, so no matter if you are new to sculpting, the range isn't a scary place to start. It's a simple range to get your head around and I highly suggest asking the make-up artist for some tips if you are unsure, but once you master the celebrity sculpting secrets you won't look back. I have fallen in love with the contouring powder it defines my cheekbones and sculpts my face, yet you really wouldn't know I'm wearing it. The texture is so fine and light-weight, it blends beautifully on my skin and leaves me looking like I was born with supermodel cheeckbones. Who wouldn't want that? For me it has been one of the best launches and products I've tried recently. If something can stay in my make-up bag longer than a week, it's a winner in my books. I have to also mention the luxurious weighty packaging, as it looks great both sitting on your vanity or when you pull it out for touch up's to your lipstick. It doesn't feel cheap like some brands packaging, it feels special, plus I love the faux leather detailing mixed with the sleek silver.

Perfect Formula 4 Piece Collection

I wrote a post about Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat here if you want some more information about the product and how it helped get my nails back to being healthy and strong. However after trying some of the colours the brand offers I wanted to share them with you too. From left to right: Hot Coral - an almost neon coral shade, Mystic - a sheer taupe shimmer shot through with pinks and purples, Pink Gel Coat - the original & Light Taupe - a gorgeous pale nude shade. Beauty at home with City Swish

A couple of weeks ago I had the lovely pleasure to have a manicure and pedicure done at home from the newly launched City Swish. City Swish is a new on demand London beauty service that will come to your home, work or hotel to pamper you for a night out or just your favourite weekly treatment. With manicure & pedicures, massages, waxing, spray tan and hair styling the team can ensure you are looking great from head to toe. The lovely Francesca came to my home to let me try the service out for myself, I hadn't had the experience at home and actually preferred the comfort of being in my home having my manicure done. She was extremely professional and after picking out my colours she got to work getting my nails in tip top shape. We chatted about the company and her years working as a therapist, as well as exchanging what our most loved brands and products are. It was nice to be sat on my sofa in an environment that was familiar, as well as taking out the travel to the salon. I love the idea of being able to fit beauty treatments in around busy schedules and life, with City Swish bringing the salon to your home. It feels more relaxed at home, things felt comfortable like I said, I didn't feel like I had to go the second it was over, very relaxing as a beauty treatment should be. I'm going to book in my next appointment just before Valentines so that I'm looking polished come February 14th.

Handbag Essentials: The Body Shop Hand Cream & Nivea Lip Butter

No matter the brand or make two products you will always find in my handbag are lip butter and hand cream, especially in winter! Right now I'm enjoying The Body Shop Hand Cream and Nivea's Lip Butter Original, they are two products that do exactly what you need them do it and quickly. The Nivea lip butters are smooth and silky, light weight yet extremely moisturising no matter how chapped or dry my lip gets. I have mainly been using the original formulation because it means I can layer it under or over lipsticks. The range does also have some other yummy flavours, 'Blueberry Blush', 'Vanilla & Macadamia' & 'Raspberry Rose', the last being my favourite flavoured butter.

Onto The Body Shop Shea Hand Cream while there's nothing much to go into about, it does exactly what it says on the tube. It is a satiny gel-cream texture that absorbs quickly, leaving no residue which is why it's been in my handbag for a few weeks now. Plus I love the light shea butter fragrance, it's really fresh smelling. They do have a few other scents in this range which are all equally fab and smell yummy too.

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Ultra Black

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Ultra Black

Every so often I come across a product that I instantly fall in love with and this time it's from Bourjois, their Volume 1 Seconde Mascara. I was sent the original a while back but I sadly lost the sample and it seemed that every time I tried to repurchase it, it was sold out. Last month I finally got hold of one of them and couldn't believe how fabulous my lashes looked after one coat. I have both the original black and the newer intense black version, I prefer this ultra black version purely for that slight darker lash look.

It is one of those mascara that give you perfect full looking lashes after one application. Though you do need to let it dry out a bit to get the most from it. It has a comb wand which I prefer, as I find they tend to separate my lashes better than 'brush' wands do. You really do only need one coat but for me there is no such thing as too much mascara, I apply about 3 coats until my lashes are plumped up and looking delightfully false (but not overly so). The black colour helps create that full looking lash, you don't need to apply liner to the lash line to help give the illusion of longer fuller lashes this does it all for you. The formula is really good, I don't find my lashes 'drop' during the day or give any fall out, nor does it smudge on me. I can't stand a mascara that smudges on my brow bone or underneath my eye. Despite the fact it stays on well it isn't a hassle to remover, I use Floracil from Gatineau and one cotton wool pad per eye removers all my eye make-up easily - no lash loss.

For £9.99 you really can't beat this mascara, yes there are high end brands that do fab mascara's but at this price range it gets a thumbs up from me. If you can find a tube then I recommend giving it a whirl.

BareMinerals is still one of my favourite makeup brands, I really love their ready eye shadow quads and their loose eye liners. This is a lovely set of their Lasting Line eye liners, it has every colour a beauty lover could want, from neutrals to some pops of colour. The formula is really creamy and soft, they have infused them with a 'nourishing blend of minerals and vitamin C'. The softness of the pencil means you can blend them easily, so whether you want a smokey finish or to create a precise line you can achieve both with one liner. If you have a little time and a good blending brush, I did a really soft smokey eye for daytime, using 'Stay Golden' & 'Eternal Bronze' which looked gorgeous together. They lasted well on my eyes too, I've worn a few colours recently and they have stayed put all day without moving or smudging. The twist up pencil design has a smudger at the end and underneath that is a sharpener to use if you want a precise line. I'm seriously impressed with these beautiful shades, for me my favourites are True Blue, Steadfast Slate & Constant Copper (which are the last 3 shades on the swatches). For me there is something about Bare Mineral's eye products that I always enjoy using, the Lasting Liner collection is no different.

Laura Geller Baked Blusher

Laura Geller is one of my favourite make-up brands right now and with each new product I try, I seem to find another product, shade, texture that I like. The baked blushers from Laura Geller have been the only blushers I have used for a couple of months now, the pigmentation pay off is brilliant and they glide on with a creamy feel so they are easy to blend and build up colour if you want. Much like the other baked products they start off their journey as a cream mousse and then are baked for 24 hours in Italy, the result is a baked powder that somehow doesn’t feel or look like a powder. Her baked range are renowned for being incredibly soft and creamy once applied to the skin, the Balance 'n' Brighten foundation is a dream. I find on me they last pretty well, I do top it up a little late afternoon but unless you were doing something in the evening I don’t think you would need too. So far I have 6 colours and I can see myself adding to this, these have to be in my top 3 favourite blushers.

Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat

I have never had great nails, after using nail extensions as a young teen they never seemed to recover. We all have things we wished we could change and for me my nails were one of them. I have spent years buying every nail treatment out there that would claim to give you healthy strong nails and none seemed to ever really work. A couple of months ago I came across Perfect Formula on QVC and decided to give it a go. I wanted to test their claims of it being like "a suit of armor for your nails". And WOW! After just one coat the Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat had made my nails brighter, the tips whiter and felt a lot stronger. It gave my nails an instant strength and a pretty rosy pink tint. It certainly was an impressive start for the products claims, after a month of using Pink Gel Coat once a week under my nail colours my nails were finally starting to grow and become stronger. No longer did it seem I was repairing splits and breaks in my nails on a daily basis.

Pink Gel Coat is formulated to fix any nail concern from thin nails, to soft & weak or dry & brittle nails, as well as disguising discolouration thanks to the pink tint. The protein rich gel really packs a punch for me, I haven't used another brand in months as in one bottle I have something that keeps my nails healthy and strong, whilst looking great even without colour on. Perfect Formula also have a range of coloured nail polishes which have the same great formula and benefits as the Pink Gel Coat, just with the added bonus of being a colour too, they are your treatment, base coat, colour and top coat all in one bottle.

If you are hiding away your nails under extensions I cannot recommend Pink Gel Coat enough. I bought my first bottle from QVC who offer a 30 money back policy. My nails were greatly improved with 30 days so give it a go and if after a month it doesn't work for you at least you can get your money back,

Perricone No Concealer Concealer

I was looking for a high quality concealer that also boasted some sort of treatment too, as well as an SPF. The price of this did make a little sceptical along with the skincare/makeup hybrid, as so many products that mix skincare and makeup often come out as a washy tint. So I was actually pleasantly surprised when I finally got this and it wasn't like my previous thoughts. It's quite a thick texture but still very creamy and hydrating. It gives a medium to full coverage depending on how much you apply, the lasting abilities are pretty impressive too I didn't notice it slide off my face till late on in the evening, it beat some products that I thought were great but this put them to shame. The coverage easily covers my dark circles from sleepless nights as well as being enough to cover any spots or blemishes I have too.

The only downside for me would be the one shade suits all colour, fair to medium skin tones would be alright but I'm not sure how anyone darker than a deep medium would suit it. The colour has a slight peachy tone to it as well, hence it's ability to cover dark circles well.

At £37.00 for 9ml it is a higher priced concealer to purchase but for me the anti-ageing eye treatment benefits mixed with the coverage it gives have made a recurrent purchase for me lately. Gatineau Floracil Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

For years I have searched for an eye make-up remover, that would get all my mascara etc off without feeling drying or too greasy, It was always the same one either was brilliant at removing the make-up but I was left with a horrible film coating my eye, that seemed like it wanted to stay forever. Or on the other hand my eyes felt lovely after but I would always notice that it didn't quite get it all off and I would have to use double, triple the amount of product to do the job right.

So after biting the bullet I went for Gatineau's Floracil Gentle Eye Make-up Remover, I'm slowly being introduced to Gatineau and so far I'm in love with the brand and this is no exception.

Gatineau Floracil Gentle Eye Make-up Remover is my new hero product. The formula is refreshing and cooling, it is no longer a chore to remover my mascara it is refreshingly pleasant. Just place a cotton wool pad soaked in the Floracil and place it over your eye to soak for a couple of seconds and then you can gently remove all traces of your eye make-up. This non oily extremely effective in removing even the most stubborn of waterproof mascara's, without the need to rub. If you have sensitive eyes not to worry with Floracil is is formulated to the same pH as tears, which means no stinging, no irritation or puffiness.

As an extra I like to give my eyes a boost using it as a treatment, I apply my night eye cream/serum then placing a cotton wool pad soaked in Floracil on each of my eyes, I let them sink in and tap in any excess afterwards. Leaving my eyes refreshed and brightened.

Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polishes

I know I’m a little late in talking about the Nails Inc Gel Effect colours but I think it’s safe to say I am pretty much now fully in love Gel Effect right now, especially the darker shades now that we are coming into winter. It all started out with one lonely colour (Downtown) and the next thing I know I had a total of 11 (although two of those are Uptown as I absolutely love that colour). They makes some big claims on their formula, high shine, plumping and has a long hard wearing finish. The brush in the Gel Effect polishes is brilliant the curved shape really allows you to get close to the cuticle, really hugging it so you get the perfect edge. It is also quite a wide brush compared to the original line up, which is great at getting my nails done in 2-3 strokes, no need to keep going back and retouching the edges. Compared to the core line range of Nails Inc the gel effect certainly has more of a shine to it, it really has a glossy wet look. Although I always wear a top coat to help the colour stay on longer. I was impressed with how well it wore on my nails I got a good 5 days before finally on the 6^th day I had to remove it but then again I am fairly fussy with my nails and always like them to be perfect. The formula is also brilliant at self levelling itself out, giving a plump smooth look to the nail, thanks to their 'Placticiser Technology'.

I’m certainly getting a lot of my friends asking to borrow them so I think all round this range gets a big ol’ thumbs up from me.

Product of the Month featuring Laura Geller

This is something new that I've never done before but wanted to start a monthly ‘Product of the Month’ post. It will just be quick post telling you why I’ve been loving the product that month and about the product so you know what it does. So let me know what you think and if you like it.

We all search for that elusive foundation that ticks every box in what we ideally want it to do for us and our skin. Laura Geller Balance n Brighten is one of the best foundations I have ever come across (big claim but I fully stand by it), now I have tried many other mineral and powder foundations over the years however I have never really gotten along with any of them. Either my skin felt ‘heavy’ or ‘dry’ or I just generally didn't like how my skin looked when I had applied them. So it took me a few weeks to try this foundation out but once I opened the box I was hooked. Laura Geller’s baked products start out their lives as a cream mousse like texture and are then baked for 24 hours, infused with several colour correcting pigments and the end result is a creamy fine powder that smooth’s over the skin and has wonderful buildable coverage. Depending on how far you push up the brush, means I can switch from light coverage to a fuller coverage within a few sweeps of the brush. You can really get a custom fit for you with this foundation and the brush, from colour to coverage, you have choices. For me it evens my skin out quickly and gives me a flawless matte finish, but somehow it still manages to leave my skin with a luminosity to it, almost dewy across my cheekbones. It doesn't feel heavy and stays in place all day (perfect partner for extra staying power is the Laura Geller Spackle's - I prefer the hydrating and tinted). It gives me everything I'm looking for in a base. I honestly can't say anything bad about this, it has cut my make up application time down and makes me comfortable in my 'skin' as I go about my day.

Balance n Brighten comes in 5 shades, porcelain to deep, so most skin tones are covered. Just a a guide I generally use the shade Medium, though if I'm a little paler or haven't got any fake tan on then I use the Fair shade.

It is £28.00 for the Balance n Brighten & brush from QVC, it isn’t a cheap product but I think it is worth every penny for the amazing flawless coverage and how just a few sweeps go such a long way. If you are going to give this a go, do keep a look out as it does often pop up in what they call ‘Today’s Special Value’ where you can get amazing kits at a bargain price.

OPI Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover

You know when you're sat there trying to think of a good spin to put on a pretty boring product to talk about. Well that's what I've been trying to think of for the last 15 minutes about the OPI Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover, but I think I'll just get straight to the point and the facts.

For ages I never understood why people complained about cheap nail polish removers however once you do try a higher end brand it is so easy to get what they mean.

- No more powdery looking nails that are left looking like they have chalk on them .

- Less time per nail, just sit the soaked cotton wool on the nail for a few seconds then pat a few times, pull away and the nail is left clean (even with my treatment, base coat, 2 lacquer coats and top coat).

- Less product being needed to do all my nails, I was used to using quite a few cotton wool pads. Maybe 5/6 per hand and not I need just 3 to do both hands.

- Similar as above but the bottles last a lot longer because of the quality so I don't feel quite as bad spending £16.50 on a single bottle of polish remover.

- General health of nails, no dryness left to my nails or my cuticles, I don't feel the need to apply cuticle oil and hand creams afterwards. Although I always do to keep my hands and nails in tip top condition!

So there it is if you have ever wondered what the fuss is about I suggest maybe buying one of OPI's mini bottles and give it a try. I'm sure you'll be like me and seeking out the 480ml bottle after.

Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.15

I'm going to start this post off with my first memories of trying a Liz Earle fragrance, as it is a sweet one. I was sent the Botanical Essence No.1 perfume to try along with a selection of other Liz Earle products a few years ago. I fell in love quickly with it. I wore it everyday and would go through bottles very quickly, but what really made it special was the fact that their PR at the time was always kind enough to send me little get well soon parcels with some of my favourites in there and of course she always included a bottle of Botanical Essence No.1. Whenever I wear it now it makes me smile but when I first got sick and was going through many hospital visits a spritz of Botanical Essence No.1 would always perk me (and always had the nurses asking what perfume I was wearing) and now when I look back at that time it makes me smile that one fragrance and one person managed to make my life a little brighter.

Onto Botanical Essence No.15 I had wanted to try this for a while so treated myself during a bout of online shopping a while back. Since I loved their first fragrance I had high hopes for No.15. Now I know perfume is a tricky one to review as it will always smell different on each of us, so I'll just ramble on why I like it. In the typically sleek and simple packing was the second of Liz Earle's fragrances. Unlike it's sister scent No.1 which is a fresh, light, citrus-y summertime fragrance. No.15 is a rich inviting deep fragrance, something that I love, over the past year I have been using richer scent and this fits into that slightly masculine yet still feminine genre for me. For most people I'm sure it would be perfect as a winter fragrance, however if you are like me, I've been wearing it through the summer. The rich, warming ingredients of tonka bean and vanilla, are mixed beautifully with the spice of pink pepper and cinnamon and a touch of rose. The blend of 15 world’s most precious botanicals really envelopes you in it, wrapping around you and warming you. I picture myself sitting in front a wood burning fire with a hot drink on a cold winter day. It's a comforting fragrance. I also like the fact it is derived from over 90% sustainably sourced natural ingredients, carefully picked and created by award winning French perfumer Alienor Massenet.

Revamping my makeup bag - Bases

Laura Geller Balance 'n' Brighten, Laura Geller The Real Deal Concealer and Clinique Stay Matte Foundation

A few months ago I totally revamped my makeup bag, looking to try new products that would give me my desired medium-full coverage finish but without the dreaded caked on and heavy feel/look to it. It all started one day when I wasn't feel well and resigned myself to a day in bed and happened to switch onto QVC and it was a Laura Geller show. I was immediately drawn to the Balance 'n' Brighten after seeing it demonstrated on a girl who had quite bad pigmentation and scarring problems. Similar to my skin type and concerns, so I kept watching and the end result really impressed me. I swiftly placed an order for two shades - medium & light - not sure seeing them on tv how true to life the colours would be. A few days later opening my parcel I had plenty of doubts in the fore front of my head doubting how well it would cover and conceal. I did a half face so I could compare and wow was all I could say looking at my skin and seeing it perfectly evened out, no hint that there were any discolouration or acne scars hidden underneath. It looked natural, glow-y and it felt light weight. The colour correcting swirls allows it to adapt to your skin tone, so no matter your concern it will help to brighten your overall complexion, thanks to the silky swirls of 7 different shades of pigments. It is packed with skin loving ingredients and anti-oxidant protection from the Centella Asiatica and White Tea Having being used to a very definite feeling of "yup I'm wearing foundation today" it was nice to not feel like I was wearing anything at all. The Laura Geller The Real Deal Concealer was another buy that I wanted to try as I was getting a little tired with the work needed to make my MAC concealer stay put. This little tube has been my favourite in covering some horrible breakouts recently, it literally blanks out the skin with a semi matte finish. I wear the shade light and it works perfectly, even when I have a slight tan it manages to adapt well. From covering my dark circles to my breakouts and acne scarring this little gem hides them all. It is a silicone based formula which I usually stay away from however it doesn't feel like your typical silicone based product. It glides on smoothly and is incredibly long lasting on me. It's oil free and apparently packed full of "healthy vitamins" which I'm not sure on as I can't seem to find any information about what exactly these vitamins are. Laura Geller claims it is water-resistant and while I certainly haven't tested that claim out, I can say on the incredibly hot weather we have had recently in the UK it stayed well on my skin, no need for any touch ups all day! I was impressed to say the least, usually even with my other favourite concealers I have to at least sort of creasing especially under the eyes - not here. You can pick one up here - Link!

Last but not least is Cliniques Stay Matte Oil-Free Foundation has actually been sat in my 'products to test box' for quite some time, I couldn't even tell you when it was sent to me. However it was left unused simply because the weather didn't warrant a matte foundation. Recently though I definitely needed to break it out and I adore it. It leaves me skin looking even and fresh, however although it does say 'matte' on me it appears more of a semi-matte texture. I love it, I really can't say that enough. For day to day use I just apply a little bit of this with my Laura Geller The Real Deal Concealer and I'm set all day - no blotting required. When the weather is particularly hot and humid (which has been quite a few days down south this summer!) I set it with either a little bit of the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder or my Laura Geller Balance 'n' Brighten if I'm looking for slightly more coverage. The lightweight gel-cream texture is lovely on my skin, it does feel very light on me, another reason I'm really enjoying it for it's comfortable feel. It keeps my skin shine free and even throughout the day, the shine absorbers control any trouble areas that get especially oily and keeps enlarged pores refined. The coverage is buildable you can easily build up thin layers if you want a more moderate-full coverage or just a single layer for a sheer look. I use a very small amount (probably about the look of 2-3 grains of rice) and that is more than enough to even out my skin. For me the best application method is my fingers, or if I am going for a fuller coverage I use a flat top kabuki brush. It comes in a brilliant 17 shades from the very fair to the very deep. Vichy Idealia Moisturiser Review

Vichy is a brand that I am slowly that I am getting to know and there are a couple of products that have really stood out so far for me. The Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating cream has been my go to day time moisturiser for a few weeks now, in a bid to help inject a little bit of radiance back into my skin. They enlisted the help of hundreds of women across four countries, of various ages and ethnicities, to which they identified that there was a loss of 'ideal skin'. This 'ideal skin' doesn't just include wrinkles and loss of firmness but also the challenge we face to maintain an even, smooth complexion whilst also keeping a youthful glow. So using this information Vichy created their Idealia skincare products aiming to restore healthy looking skin that is more even, refined, youthful and radiant. I have certainly noticed a difference in my own skin after 8 weeks of using it, my skin is slowly becoming smoother, more radiant and even. It has a lovely refreshing feel to it, the cream itself is quite thick but somehow has the lightness of a gel, melting into my skin leaving no residue behind but still injecting moisture. Enriched with Vichy thermal spa water helping the skin to fortify and regenerate itself whilst soothing even sensitive skin. The immediate effect is a soft radiance that creates a natural glow, there is something about this moisturiser that feels like it is bringing my skin back to life. I have been wearing more BB and CC creams recently and pairing them with Vichy Idealia, they seem to be a perfect partner both working to create a dewy even finish.

Obviously I can't comment on the claims of youthful, plumped skin and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles as I don't have any of those problems yet. However as I said above my skin is certainly more refined with my pores appearing reduced, my uneven skin tone is slowly becoming more even and the biggest improvement I have noticed is the overall look of my skin being healthy and radiant.
