Facials - Real Benefits to You!

2011-01-13T16:18:00.000-08:00

Aloha Friends! People are often surprised to discover the major health benefits of regular facials actually surpass the obvious beauty aspects. Of course, pampering IS definitely a big part of a spa facial, but the real benefits are visible long after you've left the spa. Monthly facials help to regulate the immune system, reduce fluid build-up and puffiness under the skin, produce an even skin tone and help keep the skin clean and smooth. The exfoliation portion of facials removes the top layers of skin allowing younger, newer skin cells to surface which results in skin that looks and acts more like young skin.

Monthly facials are also beneficial as they have a calming effect on the nervous system ; this aids in reducing stress and tension. For the healthy glow we all want, both women and men, we're here for you. Give us a call to experience in person the benefits monthly facials can do for you.

P.S. Don't forget each separate service appointment at Malama Day Spa equals one point on your Makana Customer Value Card towards a free mini facial. :)

Thank You So Very Much!

2011-01-05T19:42:00.000-08:00

Aloha everyone! We are looking forward to seeing you in 2011 and welcome any and all suggestions you may have on ways to improve our services to you. Your opinion and your ultimate satisfaction is very important to us. Mahalo!! Oh, before I forget, just this one more thing...... :)

Our Gift To You! The Makana Customer Value Card

2010-11-30T18:40:00.000-08:00

In Hawaii, the word makana means gift and we've created a gift to show you we truly value your business. Every customer is assigned a Makana card to be kept here at Malama Day Spa.

How it works:

After each visit to our spa, (whether the treatment you received was at full price or special pricing, OR even if you redeemed a gift certificate), we'll make a note on your Makana card. Each time you complete five separate services, we'll award you a coupon good for one free mini facial. You can use this coupon yourself or gift it to a friend!

And YES, it's retroactive!!! We've gone back through our appointment books to our first day of business and accounted for each and every one of your appointments. :) This means some of you are REALLY close to getting your first FREE mini facial! And just in time for the Holidays!

The "fine print".......Five complete, separate services (not five separate visits) for a total of five points are all it takes to earn the free mini facial coupon. Each of the following counts as one point:

Facial
Makeup Application
Eyelash Extensions (The initial appointment and fills each count as one service!)
Leg Waxing
Brazilian or Bikini Wax
Back Waxing
Massage
Chemical Peel
Facial waxing treatments completed in one session are considered a total of one single point only. i.e., If you receive a lip waxing and an eyebrow waxing at the same appointment, this will only count as ONE point, not two.
and as a special bonus, earn one point for each $50 worth of gift certificates or spa products purchased!

Mahalo Nui Loa for your kokua! See you soon! 503-325-8233

Waxing - A few words...

2010-10-31T18:06:00.000-07:00

Waxing is beneficial in so many ways.

Waxing produces a soft, smooth appearance. (yeah!)
Results of waxing are immediate and long lasting. (yeah!)
Waxing also saves getting ready time (yeah!)

One popular form of waxing is the brazilian or bikini waxes. Please take a minute to read our FAQ we've put together to answer any questions you may have. It includes a few tips which even those who frequently wax may not be aware of. Our goal is to make all your future waxing appointments go as smoothly as possible so all you'll see are the blue skies ahead.... Aloha!
