It is extremely important that every web page on your site has a title. Without providing a

descriptive title that is search engine optimization with the right keywords, you'll not only hurt your ranking, but you'll turn visitors away. Consider it the equivalent to owning a store without a sign and with blackened windows.

To make sure that you're doing your best on that level, make certain that each web page on your

site has its own unique title that is specific to its content. Try to make sure that it includes the

primary keyword for that page, to ensure proper SEO for search engine spiders.

By using too many graphics, images, or flash animation, you may be pleasing the eye, but search engine spiders won't see it the same way. Search engines focus on the text content of your

website. Their spiders crawl through your site looking for text, keywords, and other indications

of purpose.

They cannot, however, understand images or flash animations, nor will they ever understand their appeal. Therefore, though images are great ways to add appeal to your visitor's adding too much to any given web page, you're decreasing the value of your search engine optimization.

To reduce this problem, try to create a balance on your page where the text content is given the true priority, and images, graphics, and flash animations are only a compliment, not a focus for the page. You can also help your website by adding alt tags to each of your images so that you are providing the search engine spiders with a bit of text, even when it's an image that

actually shows up on the page.

The menu system of your website is the key to being able to properly navigate around it. Search engine spiders are typically considered to be relatively basic programs and struggle with anything but the most primitive menu systems.

For example, if your menu involves JavaScript or a Java applet, the search engine spider will not be able to recognize any of the features, and will not be capable of properly navigating the site. Certainly, these can be very appealing to people, but search engine spiders don't have the same ability to interpret the features of a website as people do.

For proper search engine optimization, a simple textual link is your best option as it is the

easiest for a search engine spider to understand. It makes your site much more likely to be seen in full by the spider, and therefore receive the best indexing and ranking results.

Furthermore, the majority of the time, an extremely complicated menu system can quickly be replicated and implemented using textual links and CSS. This will make an enormous difference in your SEO results, and will be welcomed by all of your visitors who are still using dial-up and other slow connections.

If you must use a complex menu or site navigation system, then make sure that you at least

provide a site map that is readily available via a text link from the home page. This site map

should use text to clearly link to every one of the other pages of your web site. This way, even if a spider is unable to use your regular menu system, it will be able to reach all of the pages by way of the site map.

Refraining from working against your own SEO efforts due to simple errors, and will enjoy

much larger amounts of traffic to your website.

I find it absolutely amazing how the internet has just permeated into every aspect of our lives. Money used to be represented by gold, copper or other metals. The value of money used to be backed by the amount of gold the issuer had. Then when money was taken off the gold standard, it became represented by paper. The piece of paper in itself had no real value. It was who was printing that piece of paper that mattered. Money became an IOU of sorts. Today, with the internet, money is not even that piece of paper anymore. It is represented just by numbers. Money can be created out of nowhere, and can disappear as quickly. Making money has never been easier. Today, even virtual products can be bought and sold, for real money. All thanks to the internet.

So what are the ways of making money online ? My list is far from exhaustive, I'm sure.

Online marketing has been used in the real world, where real products are bought and sold. Supermarket chains now allow their customers to order their products online. Shopping used to take 2 hours, including travelling time. Not to mention, one had to match one's timing to when the shops were open. Today, you can do your groceries at 1 am, and get them delivered the next day. Just log onto the website, click a few items and pay with your credit card. Done. You don't even need to buy your things from shops in your neighbourhood. The shops don't even need to be in your country. In some cases, the shops don't even exist in the real world, just online. You can get books and many other products from Amazon.com. Ebay is virtually synonymous with online buying and selling. You never have to touch a paper dollar. Paypal transfers some numbers from your account to the merchant's account at a click of a button. Selling products online has opened a whole new world of customers. Now you can sell your products to people worldwide. All they need is an internet connection. Then the postal service collects the goods, and ships them over to you. And I thought with the advent of faxes and emails, the postal services will go out of business. Now they are busier than ever.

So what else can one buy with online marketing ? Digital products are becoming increasingly popular. E-books, computer programmes etc can all be sent through the internet. No need to wait for the postal service to deliver the product to you. Just click on the button, pay with paypal or your credit card, a few numbers disappear again, and the product is yours ! Huge business. If the google advertisements are to be believed, many people are getting rich just selling digital products online. The production costs are minimal. Outlay doesn't cost much. It is hardly surprising these products are able to pay out as high as 50-70% in commissions.

Google and Yahoo! function almost entirely in the internet world. Look how rich their creators have become, and their wealth is still increasing.

Then you can make money online with advertisements. Google adsense is probably one of the best known ones. People pay google for its pay-per-click ads, called adwords. Others allow google to put a few little advertisements on their websites. Hardly complicated. In fact, for the google people, it's almost nothing, as the advertisements are written by the advertisers themselves. The computer helps them find places for the advertisements to appear. People who want the advertisements simply apply to have them appear on their websites. Someone else clicks on the advertisement, the advertiser gets charged, and the "advertisee" gets paid. Hopefully a sale also results. And google makes a fortune. They must be hundreds of digital products and blogs / websites all tailored towards making money using adwords or adsense. These products in themselves generate millions of dollars.

There are also many websites set up specifically for people to get their websites noticed by those searching for similar products. Some are free. Others charge a fee. You can always get a website set up by someone who is technologically savvy, or use one of the many services available.

Then there's affiliate marketing. Wonderful way of making money online. For this, you don't even need to have products. You just borrow other people's products, market it for them, and get paid commissions if the products are sold. Add this on to websites that get created for you, and you barely need to do much work yourself. I've found that you can even pay people to write articles for you to promote the products !

If all this sounds too complicated, there are the old easy ways of making money online. Enterprising people have put together lists of companies who are happy to pay people to answer surveys online. For a small fee, these companies are able to get surveys to find answers to how their customers feel, what they want and what products they like. They don't have to hire people to do it for them anymore. At a click of a button, they can send the surveys out to many who have registered with them to answer surveys. In the past, someone would have to call each person up and speak to them. As for those answering the surveys, it is really easy money. For a few minutes of their time, at their own leisure, they just click a few answers and the money comes in ! Wonderful concept.

Just a side comment. Trading in stocks and their derivatives have been around for a long time. All this has become so much easier with the internet. Traders no longer need to call up their brokers frantically trying to buy or sell their stocks. That's another way to make money online.

And finally, this one took me by surprise when I first read of it in the newspapers. People are now selling virtual products online. There are many online games, some where players from all over the world meet in the virtual world. Some games involve creating characters with particular powers, or with particular weapons that can be used against other players. The article mentioned that some people were actually paying others real money for virtual weapons !

There are so many ways of making money online. Money is being created everyday this way. And all it takes is a lot of imagination , eyes to see where the money is and a little technical know-how.

4) Offer an RSS (Real Simple Syndication) subscriptions.

This is simply taking a commission for any customer you send to another product (considering they buy the product). So, every now and again, make a blog post about the affiliate product you are promoting. When your readers see this, those who are interested will click on your ‘affiliate link,’ and if they buy, you get paid. Easy as that. Becoming an affiliate is always free, and there are thousands of products begging for active affiliates.

By the way, affiliate commissions are typically 50% to 75%. Gigantic, and very profitable.

6) Create your own product.
The only problem with affiliate marketing is that the product is completely out of your control and you only take a part of the cut. Once you have a bunch of blog posts, you can bundle them together and make an ‘ebook.’ Sell this to your loyal readers, and you’ll be surprised at how many of them will pay for the content they’re getting for free anyway!

There are bloggers out there who are making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for writing about their passions. My instincts tell me you’d be happy with a few hundred or thousand dollars extra per week, so start taking action on these ideas. They’re not complicated, they just require action. The best part is, once they’re set up, they can all be automated and can take place without your presence!

Asking for a pay rise can be a stressful and worrying prospect. However more and more we are forced to go beyond the boundaries of company reviews and request more money as individual bargaining becomes more commonplace. Here is a simple list of DO’S and DO NOTS to help you get that raise!

DO

1. Arrange your meeting in advance.

It is a good idea to prepare your boss for the meeting rather than just marching into their office because you have had enough and want that pay rise now! If you place the meeting to link in with something like the completion of a project especially one you were involved in heavily it may produce better results.

2. Do your homework well in advance.

Before you meet you should have a clear record of your achievements with your company that you can quote from to prove your worth. Do not go overboard with this however, keep it simple and concise and if possible provide testimonials from happy customers or managers within your company.

3. Think about your demands from the boss's point of view.

Why do you deserve this pay rise? Why would your boss give you this pay rise? Your boss must be convinced of the merit of giving away more money to you so you must ask what factors would influence his or her decision. Have you brought financial benefits to your company or helped your department in significant ways with new ideas or procedures?

4. Explain how a pay rise will help the company.

When a company considers giving you more money they must not only be convinced of your past merits but what benefits you will bring to the company in the future. You should be able to explain what you will do for the company over the next year or two that will make their investment in you worthwhile. However do not over commit yourself with unreasonable boasts you cannot fulfill.

5. Investigate salaries.

Try to find out what people in comparable positions in the firm or at rival companies earn. Look at job ads in newspapers or on the internet. Trade magazines frequently carry out salary surveys.

6. Be open-minded.

Pay is only one part of a package your company offers you. Sometimes your boss may refuse you a pay rise for a variety of reasons but may be well disposed to giving further benefits such as medical cover, life insurance, extra bonuses, share options and many more. Sometimes these benefits may be worth more in the long run than a simple pay rise!

DON'T

1. Expect too much.

Rates of pay may be on the increase but most companies deal with pay rises and promotions in a standard way of annual pay reviews. If you want your case to be treated as special and outside of the normal review you must be sure your reasons are very good.

2. Approach your boss at the wrong time.

Make sure you do not approach your boss just before a stressful meeting or after your company issues a profit warning. The mood your boss is in and the constraints and pressures he is under will affect things greatly.

3. Expect your boss to offer you a pay rise as a matter of course.

If you do not advertise your worth to the company in some way your achievements will hardly be recognized. Make sure your supervisors and managers know who you are and what good work you do. Do not go too far though as boasting will not earn you too many friends.

4. Plead on emotional grounds or get confrontational.

Just because you have a baby on the way or are buying a new house does not mean the boss will grant you more money. You still have to prove you deserve the promotion. Companies exist to make money and are not charities.

5. Threaten to walk out if you are turned down.

You are not indispensable no matter what you think. This also shows a lack of commitment to your company and will not go down well. If you do not get your raise now try to set a date to review your pay in the future as another option.

There are literally thousands of Paid to Read Email Programs on the Internet. As with any other business opportunities some are legitimate while others are nothing more then scams.

The difference with Paid to Read Email Programs is they are free to join and you are not aware of the scam until it is time to cash out or request your payment.

Once you do request payment you either simply are not paid or your account is terminated. Some Paid to Read Email Sites will only pay you a percentage of what you have actually earned and others will not pay you at all.

Some tips to avoid wasting your time and money:

Do the math. If their ad prices are unsustainable or they do not revamp their ads to remain sustainable prices as the site grows, RUN! How can they afford to pay 10,000 members $.01 (10,000 x $.01 = $100) to read an email when the advertiser only paid $20 for the ad?

Just because the traffic you might be getting free does not mean that it will not work, and you will not earn any money from it. In fact I started my online business using nothing but free traffic, and believe me it worked, and it still does work till this day. So if you are using free traffic and you are not making any money from it then you are doing something wrong.
