Just received this from a local police force in Bangsar. There is a new tactic used by the thieves and robbers & spreading into PJ & other KL areas. Be careful when there is a motorist approaching while you are driving alone in a car. These days, the thieves will spray some liquid on your tyre which leads to smoke outburst.

When you encounter such a situation, don’t panic. Stay calm & don’t ever try to park your car to check what is going on. This is the intention purposely created by these thieves to get your attention. Once you get out from your car, they will snatch your belongings or may even harm you.

So, if you ever encounter such an incident, drive to a safe place where crowded people are or to a petrol or police station. As for the stain, use water to clean it up, that’s all. Look after your own safety, especially to those ladies out there. What ever happens, don’t simply walk out from your car! This is a true case that has occurred before. Once you see this email, don’t forget to forward it to all your buddies!

Fury over ‘sex festival’

THE Seksualiti Merdeka festival became a “hot” issue, with several lawmakers questioning Bersih 2.0 chairman Datuk S. Ambiga’s role in the controversial event.

Zulkifli Nordin (Ind-Kulim Bandar Baharu) said the movement was promoting unnatural and casual sex which were against the country’s norm, religion and culture.

“This sex festival, using a false name as a human rights movement, did not consider the feelings and sensitivities of the Muslim community.

“Their actions are turning our country into a place with no morality,” he said when intervening during the winding up of the Supply Bill 2012.

Zulkifli insisted that the movement must be immediately stopped and condemned those who supported the movement.

“To make it worse, the event will be launched by Ambiga, who is also the former leader of the Bar Council.

“We urge the authorities to take action against the organisers who promote this unhealthy culture,” he said.

Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud (PAS-Kota Raja) said that although she was against the movement, the authorities should instead engage the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

“If it (festival) was not controversial, I would like to attend and hear the group’s problems so we can do something about it,” she added.

She also said the Government should consider enacting a law to make casual sex a crime similar to sodomy.

Earlier, Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) demanded that authorities block the movement from going ahead with the event.

“This group, supported by Ambiga, promotes same sex relationships. It will damage the country’s image.

“Events that support casual sex which will exacerbate baby dumping problems,” said Bung.

Ashraf’s parents reach out for help

KUALA TERENGGANU: “It’s easy to heap unkindwords on our family but nobody has tried putting themselves in our shoes,” said Mak Yah, 50, the mother of medical assistant Mohd Ashraf Hafiz Abd Aziz, 25, the transgender whose application to change his name to Aleesha Farhana was rejected by the High Court here on Monday
Eyes brimming with tears, Mak Yah lamented to the New Straits Times the pain and humiliation she felt when she read the negative comments about her and her husband, Abdul Aziz, 60.

“They accused us of being bad parents.

It hurts to read such reports.” Although they had noticed Ashraf’s effeminate tendencies since hewas a toddler, Mak Yah said they were still horrified when they found out t h at their eldest son had undergone a sexual reassignment surgery in Thailand in 2009.

“Wewere in Mecca performing the haj, and as far as we knew, our child was working in Putrajaya,” she said, adding that Ashraf had never mentioned about the medical tests and hormone level monitoring he had gone through at the Pantai Medical Centre for two years prior to the surgery.

At first, their anger and sadness over what Ashraf had done led the couple, who have four other children, to disown him.

“We burnt all his dresses and told him never to return home, but we knew that Ashraf, or Aleesha, often came home, spending nights in the car, instead of in his room.” As an ex-serviceman, Abdul Aziz had no problem instilling discipline in his children and meting out punishment if they misbehaved, but he had no answer to Ashraf’s problem.

“Our other son had even cut Ashraf’s hair as short as an army recruit, but instead of a man, we saw a short-haired woman.

“I realised then that we would have to deal with the problem, rather than continue to be in denial,” Abdul Aziz said, adding that he was sad when some quarters dismissed them as evil parents. He said the problem could have been avoided if he had sought expert opinion on why Ashraf did not have male characteristics as he was growing up.

“His voice did not deepen when he reached puberty and he walked with a woman’s gait, but it never crossed my mind there was a deeper problem,” he said.

Abdul Aziz said if upbringing had played a part in Ashraf’s condition, their two adopted children who were older than Ashraf would have had the same problem.

“They are normal and so are our other two children, Ashraf’s younger brother and sister,” he said.

Although he had heard of a fatwa by Jakim allowing those with questionable genders to go for sexual reassignment surgery, Abdul Aziz said he was unaware of it as there were no guidelines.

“The results of Ashraf’s medical tests showed that he had more female hormones in his body. Does this indicate questionable gender? I wish issues like this are made clear so that genuine cases can be assessed properly,” he said.

Mak Yah said the family would appreciate it if someone could come up with a solution to their problem.

“Making harsh comments is easy, but it won’t help. I welcome those who said Ashraf should be a man again and we can revert the process. ” Ashraf, who was present during the interview, said he accepted the High Court’s decision and admitted that there were weaknesses in his case as pointed out by judge Datuk Yazid Mustafa.

“I could not get a lawyer to represent my case. When counsel Horley Isaacs volunteered his services, it was almost at the end of the hearing ,” he said.

He confirmed his intention of appealing the court’s decision.

“Like it or not, I will follow through with my case until I have exhausted all legal avenues. People may wish that I could just shut up or die, but I just want to live a peaceful life.”

Hackers attack Malaysian government websites

KUALA LUMPUR — Hackers have attacked Malaysian government websites, authorities said Thursday, following a threat by the "Anonymous" activist group which accused Malaysia of censoring the Internet.

Fifty-one government websites were targeted, causing disruptions to at least 41 of them, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said in a statement.

It said the attacks on websites with the .gov.my domain started shortly before midnight Wednesday and lasted several hours, but appeared to have caused little damage.

"The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission confirms that there were indeed attempts to hack several websites," it said.

"However, we do not expect the overall recovery to these websites to take long as most websites have already recovered from the attack," it added.

The commission said it would work with enforcement agencies, security experts and service providers to keep the situation in check.

Malaysian authorities had Wednesday braced themselves for cyber attacks after Internet activists Anonymous warned on a website that they would target the government portal www.Malaysia.gov.my.

The website was still down on Thursday. MCMC did not specify which websites were hacked, only saying its own site was targeted but that the hacking attempt was unsuccessful.

Anonymous sabotaged Turkish sites last week to protest against Internet censorship.

Its Malaysia attack plan threat followed an order by the MCMC to Internet service providers last week to block 10 file and video-sharing websites that it said violate copyright laws.

The hackers explained the rationale for the attack in a YouTube clip, claiming that Malaysia's censorship was an erosion of human rights.

Malaysia's media operate under strict censorship laws but websites have remained relatively free -- despite occasional raids, bans and government criticism -- due to an official pledge not to censor the Internet.

The Internet freedom commitment was made in the mid-90s to attract foreign investment to the high-tech sector. Anonymous, an international hackers group, rose to fame with a series of attacks on websites linked to the Church of Scientology.

The group gained further prominence after launching retaliatory attacks on companies perceived to be enemies of the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks.

I have now received confirmation from a good friend who leases land to farmers to plant watermelons and these farmers out of courtesy told my good friend not to eat watermelons because of excessive poisons in the fruit. So, take care.

We all love watermelons right? It is a must as dessert at weddings and birthdays, or at the 5-star hotel buffets. But do you realize that WATERMELON IS DANGEROUS?

This is because the watermelon planters put Furadan, a powerful insecticide (a poison), into the soil before planting the watermelon to kill and keep away insects, especially ants.

Experts confirm that Furadan is active for one whole year(12 months), and is most powerful and effective during the first 90 days.

The problem is this: The watermelons mature and are picked after 55days, when Furadan is still powerful, and a lot of it is INSIDE THE WATERMELONS!

Woman, left in car, robbed and raped

PETALING JAYA (May 30, 2011): A 26-year-old woman was abducted, robbed and gang raped by three robbers who drove off in her husband's car with her in it at USJ, Subang Jaya early on Sunday.

The woman's 35-year old husband, who owns an event management company, briefly left her in his parked four-wheel drive with its engine running outside a convenience store in USJ 17 at about 2.30am.

It is learnt that within seconds, three men who are believed to have trailed them jumped into the vehicle. The shocked businessman rushed to his vehicle but the robbers sped off with his wife.

The victim was taken on a terror ride to several locations in the Klang Valley and was raped at an unknown location in Batu Caves.

Five hours later, the victim's attackers who also robbed her of her valuables, abandoned her near the Bukit Jalil stadium and drove off in the vehicle.

The robbers had also withdrawn RM50 using her ATM card after forcing her to reveal her PIN.

With the help of a passer-by, the woman telephoned her husband who went to her aid.
Subang Jaya police chief ACP Zainal Rashid said today that the woman was warded at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).

Police have set up a team to trace the car and hunt down the crooks.
Twitter users were also alerted of the incident when a relative of the victim sent out a tweet to help look for the stolen vehicle soon after the incident.

Wife who nagged about vacation beaten up

A WIFE's nagging about a holiday abroad pushed the husband into a rage and led him to repeatedly hit and kick her, Harian Metro reported.

The assault left her bruised all over her body.

She reported the matter at the Kajang police station soon after the 1am assault on Tuesday.

A police source told the paper a quarrel started between the couple, both 32, after she asked her husband if he had already bought tickets for their vacation during the school semester break.

After about 30 minutes of nagging and argument between the two, the husband became violent and started to beat the woman at their home in Taman Sutera, Kajang.

“The victim pleaded with him to stop as it was not worth fighting over a small matter. The husband ignored her and kept bashing his wife till she could no longer move,” the police source said.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab confirmed receiving a report on the matter.

Malaysia's opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to again face trial on sodomy allegations

MALAYSIA'S High Court has ruled that opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim's defence has a case to answer in his sodomy trial, after finding the prosecution's witness "credible".

Mr Anwar is being tried over allegations that the 63-year-old father-of-six sodomised a 25-year-old former aide at an upmarket condominium in June 2008.

"I find a prima facie case... has been made out against the accused," High Court judge Zabidin Mohamed Diah told a packed courtroom.

"Therefore the accused is called to enter his defence."

"I found (prosecution witness Mohamad Saiful Bukhari) to be a credible witness. There is nothing improbable about his evidence. His evidence is reliable," he said.

The judge also found there was evidence that Mr Anwar and Mr Saiful were at the scene of the alleged crime at the time in question and that there was "opportunity for the offence to have taken place".

Sodomy is illegal in Muslim-majority Malaysia, whether or not between consenting adults.

Mr Anwar insists the accusations are part of a long-running government plot to derail his political career, but authorities deny any conspiracy.

Mr Anwar's original 1998 sodomy conviction was later overturned and he was freed after serving six years in jail, becoming an electoral threat to the ruling Barisan Nasional, which has been in power for half a century.

The trial is to resume on June 6, according to court officials.

I cannot stop myself from sharing this with all of you.

Its all started when I received a call from someone claiming that he was from Maxis and he asked me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for 3g update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting, I did not question and shutdown my cell phone.

After 45 minutes I felt very suspicious since the caller did not even introduce his name. I quickly turned on my cell phone and I received several calls from my family members and the others were from the number that had called me earlier - 3954380.

I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried asking me whether I am safe. My parents told me that they had received a call from someone claiming that they had me with them and asking for money to let me free. The call was so real and my parents even heard 'my voice' crying out loud asking for help. My parent was at the bank waiting for next call to proceed for money transfer. I told my parents that I am safe and asked them to lodge a police report.

Right after that I received another call from the guy asking me to shutdown my cell phone for another 1 hour which I refused to do and hung up. They keep calling my cell phone until the battery had run down. I myself lodged a police report and I was informed by the officer that there were many such scams reported. MOST of the cases reported that the victim had already transferred the money! And it is impossible to get back the money.

Be careful as this kind of scam might happened to any of us!!! Those guys are so professional and very convincing during calls. If you are asked to shut down your cell phone for updates by the service provider, ASK AROUND! Your family or friends might receive the same call.

Daphne Iking Baby Scandal:Baby not mine, says Daphne Iking’s ex-husband

KUALA LUMPUR – The former husband of TV presenter Daphne Iking said he has been excluded as being the biological father of her daughter in a DNA test.

Chong Yiing Yih, 31, was testifying in the magistrate’s court yesterday in a private prosecution he initiated against businessman Darren Choy Khin Ming for enticing Daphne Iking, knowing well that she was married.

During examination-in-chief by his counsel Wong Kien Keong, who is acting as the private prosecutor, Chong said there was a mention that the baby might not be his in emails he found between Daphne Iking and Choy.

He said he then took the baby to a clinic for a paternity test.

Chong said swabs of the child and himself were taken at the clinic and sent to Australia for a DNA test.

Asked what was the result, Chong said, “The test result said the alleged father, Chong Yiing Yih, is excluded as being the biological father of the child, Isobel Daniella Iking-Chong.”

Choy, 44, allegedly committed the offence at a condominium in Taman Tun Dr Ismail between July 2007 and September 2008.

Daphne Iking and Chong were married in Bali, Indonesia, on Jan 27, 2007, but divorced last year.
Chong also told the court that he and Daphne Iking’s blood group was “O”, while Isobel’s was “A”.
He said he found the emails and Internet chats in Daphne Iking’s computer.

He also said one of the chats aroused his suspicion when his ex-wife allegedly wrote to Choy on Aug 20, 2007, stating “she has your face shape, not mine, not Ryan’s (referring to Chong).”

According to Chong, she was also alleged to have said “I want her to look like you, your intelligence” in the same chat.Chong said his friend, Harold Tan, had helped him get a copy of an invoice from the Banyan Tree Bintan Resort in Indonesia that allegedly had the names of Choy and Daphne Iking for one room on April 13, 2008.

Choy’s counsel, Datuk Jagjit Singh, said he would reserve cross-examining Chong for the time-being.When Chong took the stand, he started by revealing an email that was allegedly sent to Daphne Iking by Choy on Sept 13, 2006, before he and Daphne Iking were married.

Jagjit objected, saying there was no relevance as the two were not married then.But Chong’s counsel, Wong, said he wanted to show that Choy had started enticing Daphne Iking even before she got married.

To this, Jagjit retorted: “There can be no enticement before marriage, I also could have tackled Daphne Iking before her marriage.”The second prosecution witness, Harold Tan, a 32-year-old treasury specialist, said Chong looked distraught and cried when talking to him about his suspicions on Aug 10, 2008.

Hearing before magistrate Engku Ahmad Rashdi Engku Abdillah continues on Monday.

KOTA BARU: For the past five years, Kelantan has exceeded the national HIV infection ratio by four times.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said for the year 2008 and last year, the National HIV infection ratio was 13.3 and 10.8 respectively for 100,000 people.

However, Kelantan recorded a ratio of 47.0 and 37.2 ratio, he said.

Cumulatively, Kelantan also recorded the highest number of women infected by HIV with 1,211 cases, followed by Johor (1,124) and Selangor (1,107) cases, Liow said in his speech at the launch of the state-level World AIDS Day 2010 at Pengka lan Chepa here yesterday.

His speech was read by Health deputy director-general (Public Health) Datuk Dr Hasan Abdul Rahman.

Liow urged Kelantan and other states to implement the Gempur AIDS programme immediately to curb the spread of the disease.

On another note, Liow said as religion played an important role to curb AIDS the Health Ministry, with the cooperation of the Malaysian Islamic Deve lopment Department (Jakim) and Malay sian AIDS Council, had produced an Islamic manual on HIV/AIDS that was launched in August.

He added that the manual had information on prevention of drug abuse, treatment, support, counseling, discrimination and other relevant knowledge for Muslims.

“My ministry and Jakim have disseminated information on how to address this issue to more than 1,500 imam and religious school teachers to promote good health practices,” he added.

Principals who made racist remarks suspended, transferred

KUALA LUMPUR: Two school principals who uttered racist remarks were "suspended immediately" pending investigations, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said.

"The principal from SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, Kulai, was transferred to the Johor state education department while the principal from SM Bukit Selambau, Sungai Petani was transferred to the Kuala Muda district education office," he said in Parliament, adding that both were transferred on Aug 23.

He was replying to a question from Lim Guan Eng (DAP-Bagan) on the action taken against the school principals who made racist remarks.

When Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Timur) asked why action was delayed against the two, Mohamed Nazri said it was "better late than never."

He said this was the first time action was being taken against a civil servant for making racist statements, "so such things will take time".

He added that for the case in Kulai, there were many witnesses as the racist remark was made in a school assembly.

"The investigating officers had to take down the witness statements. We needed to investigate thoroughly to build a strong case and not one that can flip-flop," Mohamed Nazri said.

Datuk Sosilawati and three others missing maybe dead?

Four bodies believed to be killed before rentung found burned in a farm in Teluk Gadong near Tanjung Sepat, Morib here last night. The identity of the four were identified.

However, this can not be ascertained so far whether the discovery of the body are associated with loss of cosmetics tycoon Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya, 47, along with three others missing after the Banting said the sale and purchase transaction, 13 days ago.

All bodies are expected to be issued this morning for tests related, including DNA for identification purposes.However, until last night, police still have not issued any official statement on the findings, including verifying whether it is related to the case Sosilawati.

According to sources, following the discovery of the arrest key suspects connected with the loss of the founder of beauty products, the Nouvelle Visages.

"It is understood, the suspect who led police to the scene, last Thursday to lead to the discovery of the bodies," he said.

Until last night, six suspects have been detained to assist investigations regarding loss Sosilawati and three other individuals since 30 August.

Also arrested a businessman and lawyer Datuk rank with his brother, a doctor aged early 40s.

It is understood, both the main planners of the case and the identity of four more suspects are identified, but believed the same group that runs all the victims.

Members are expected to police forensic discovery of four bodies rentung location this morning to carry out further investigation.

Despite of the two complaints below (please refer to the mails below if TM is ever concerned about customer satisfaction), I continue to encounter EXTREMELY poor service in TM ………………

I was at the ………….(TMpoint) AGAIN at 1.29pm on 25/8/2010 (Wed) as I did not receive my monthly statements in the last two months. The front desk customer service personnel, ..................(CSR) was being rude and NOT willing to assist as she was too busy playing facebook. She was so engrossed with her facebook that she did not realize that I snapped her photo while she was playing it. She was subsequently stunt when I took the photo of her face. The photos are enclosed for your evidence. As you can see, there are other customers waiting for her to serve.

The matter was brought up to the Team Leader Puan……………(TL)

I cannot believe a national icon GLC like TM with strategic KPIs set by the government could tolerate such service level. In addition, despite of writing to some the key personnel listed in TM annual report, no one take us seriously!!!!!! I hope our beloved Prime Minister is able to get the RIGHT PEOPLE to behave in an ACCOUNTABLE manner before the RAKYAT lost faith totally..... He has make many progressive changes, unfortunately it is disappointing to see that such basic service is still a challenge.

By the way, I am not just a RAKYAT Malaysia who paid tax but I am also a responsible TM customer who is trying to pay my streamyx bill despite of not receiving my monthly statement.

I am not here to break anyone's rice bowl but the company should diligently assign the right people as front-liners as it is extremely disturbed to see that a company can BE RUDE to a customer who is trying to pay the bill.

Aiyo, what is wrong with our media nowadays? Day by days it’s getting suck and unacceptable.
TV3 has just withdrawn a Hari Raya greeting which apparently tried to be too creative by depicting a Christmas theme rather than Islamic flavour.
It has been a sudden protests in the internet based media on TV3′s Aidilfitri advertisement for this year. Be it Facebook or blogs, certainly TV3 have failed in the first place by approving the idea of the advert.
Announcing this on its prime time Malay bulletin, TV3 decided to withdraw the clip after taking into account protests from Muslims, and offered its apology.

What is wrong with our media nowadays? Everything seems so wrong. Everyone’s like compete again each other to promote 1Malaysia concept that they suddenly not aware of what were they doing. Although they are trying to promote 1Malaysia, don’t overdo it to the extent of ignoring the sensitivity of religion and Muslim way of life.
I’m sure TV3 will pulled this out but for a such thing to happen in this country and from a leading TV channel in Malaysia, it’s such a shame for Media Prima corporate! Somebody should get fired dude!
Watching this ad is like watching Christmas ads and guess what, it’s not even December yet!
Among others, the one-minute or so greeting attemped to combine elements of Christmas, as well as Hinduism and Buddhism, showing a Santa Claus-like old man riding a trishaw, only that it has lotus flowers and oil lamps instead of reindeers.
This is a mockery to Islam and gives the impression of polytheism especially to the young viewers. It hurts the feelings and sensitivity of Muslims. It’s like watching ad made by someone who didn’t know what Islam is or don’t have any religion sensitivity.
Even with the withdrawal of Santa-Hindu-Buddhist-themed Raya ads still not enough to make Muslims all over Malaysia happy. We are being ridiculed by this ad, it's not only the audience that are being insulted but the people in the ad especially the kids and old man. We taught our kids to beware of strangers; and yet they happily accepted to go for this ride and the old man left the kids on this deserted lalang-grown hillside.
And I'm quite puzzled why it was approved by the Information Ministry at the first place. Maybe Dato’ Rais Yatim have some explaination to do.
Otherwise maybe it’s time for us (Muslims) to boycott some of TV3′s and Media Prima’s television networks programme.
They presumably religion ignorant people – TV3 and Ministry of Information. When comes the case of non-muslim enter the mosque, they never stop barking like all the time. But when TV3 humiliated Islam, nobody want to bark or say anything. Is it fair?
So TV3 and the Ministry, we the Muslims citizen of Malaysia demand not only a PUBLIC Apology but also action to be taken on this serious matter!
Bottom line is religion celebration is not a fairy tale, guys! Somebody should get fired!

North-south highway - the new 3rd lanes

This is true! I have another friend who works as pavement contractor and he shared the same thought!

I am a frequent user of our North-South Expressway and I have this IMPORTANT experience to highlight and share:-
I am a building contractor based in Penang with over twenty years of experience and I have been driving my 5 series BMW (latest generation and a dammed solid road-holding car) each time I travelled to KL. Lately, the new extended 3 lanes highway had been opened up for use and since then, I have also been using it quite often.

HOWEVER, when I used it each time it is WET, I can really 'feel' that the new road surface is extremely SLIPPERY! To share with some of you, my car comes with a built-in traction control mechanism ( skidding prevention mechanism ) and you can feel it each time it is activated. Previously, I don't come across this kind of slippery feel except when I drive over a paddle of water at certain speed.

From my observation as a building contractor, the 'wearing course' of the new road surface could be TOO FINE OR TOO SMOOTH and TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for highway use!

The wearing course ( top premix layer ) mix design for highways should be of minimum 20mm coarse aggregate mix that will give us the required bond between the surface and our tyres. Fine wearing course ( 14mm coarse aggregate size and below ) is only suitable for normal road. ( A proper test need to be carried out to determine the mix design of the wearing course). Technically, this comment on the size of the coarse aggregate (or "stone" in lay language) for the wearing course (top most layer of the road) is correct in that it should not be too fine for better grip between the tyre and the road surface.

Since the opening of the three lanes highway, I had seen cars skidding in front me or in the opposite direction and approximately 2 weeks ago, one of my friends who is also a frequent user of our NSE, came to share with me about his slippery feeling as well as the many skidded cars he had seen lately.

I am highlighting this to TV3 and The Star with the hope that a thorough investigation could be carried out immediately to find out how or what causes the bus to skid. A proper and independent test need to be carried out urgently to determine the design mix of the wearing course. THIS CAN SAVE LIVES.

We wish to inform your goodself that for years, our consumer group as many other faithful consumers have been using “QQB” Ghee for various delicacies and religious functions without doubt, with full confidence that the said product is manufactured from the milk of dairy cows by its highly reputable manufacturer based in Queensland , Australia .

However, lately, we found that although the colour and aroma had now varied much, the taste seemed to be somewhat different. Therefore, we investigated this matter and concluded the following matters:

· Its manufacturer Butter Producers’ Co-operative Federation Ltd (BPCF) addressed as No. 489, Kingsford Smith Drive , Hamilton , Brisbane , Australia had ceased operations in September 2006 and was no longer listed in the website of Australian trade authority being http://www.austrade http://www.austrade.gov.au http://gov.au . In fact the satellite picture as the website http://maps. google.com http://maps.google.com shows that the following site is vacant land.

· Printed on the tin is that the said product is manufactured from milkfat of dairy cows of Australia and in even smaller and rather unclear script, it is mentioned that its manufacturer is Q.B.I. Packaging Sdn Bhd, No. 19, Lorong Keluli 1C, Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Raja Selatan, 41050 Shah Alam, Selangor DE., Malaysia and that the said product is manufactured under license from QBB (Pte.) Ltd., Singapore .

· QBB Pte Ltd.., Singapore was originally the sole agent for “QBB” Ghee for Malaysia , Singapore and Brunei and it is not clear whether at the time when BPCF ceased operations in 2006, the “QBB” trademark rights were transferred from BPCF to QBB Ptd Ltd., Singapore . We suspect that Q.B.I. Packaging Sdn Bhd and QBB Ptd Ltd., Singapore are together carrying an act of piracy i.e. producing and selling a product whose legitimate manufacturing and sales rights were not transferred to them by its original manufacturer BPCF who was since wound up.

· The report of an analysis conducted by a reputable food technology laboratory in Australia on the contents of a 2-lb tin of this product, where the said tin was taken from Malaysia to Australia by one of our group members, mentions the following:-

“This product constitutes of decolorized and deodorized lard (pig fat) in semi-solid state with permitted additives giving the product color, flavor and aroma similar to that of pure ghee color, flavor and aroma.” (Original report is with the sender of this letter).

Therefore, our consumer group had to boycott the use of this product as:-

a) Our muslim members cannot use this product as it is haram by religion

b) Our Hindu and Sikh members cannot use this product for burning of ghee lamps, religious functions or for preparing sweetmeats as places of worship which forbid the use of any animal oil/animal fat.

c) Our vegetarian friends who only consume vegetarian diet cannot consume the said product.

We believe that the “QBB Ghee” sold in Malaysia , Singapore and Brunei ever since BPCF closed down, is a product which is violating the related laws on the principle of “misrepresentation of label”. Therefore we hope that your goodself will take the appropriate action to stop the sale of this product.

Saiful Apek busted for having marijuana

PETALING JAYA: Popu lar local comedian and actor Saiful Apek was busted for drugs just minutes after watching Argentina score a goal in its World Cup 2010 match against Nige ria.

The 41-year-old comedian, who had his breakout role in the popular sitcom Senario, was watching the match at his home with five friends, including a woman, when police raided his house at Jalan PJS7 Subang Jaya around 10pm on Saturday.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar confirmed the arrest, adding that when police entered the house, the group was busy cheering for their favourite teams in the match.

He said police found around 40g of marijuana. The comedian’s friends, who are in their 20s, were also arrested.

“All of them have been remanded for five days until June 17,” he said.

He added that the case was being investigated under Section 39A(1) and other provisions of the Dangerous Drugs Act for drug possession.

The actor became famous with his roles in popular movies like Senario Lagi (2000), Senario The Movie (1999), Nana Tanjung 2 (2007) and Cicak Man (2006).

Doctors and paramedics attending to Xing

A man almost lost his penis from humping a steel bench in Hong Kong.

Police received a disturbing call from Lan Tian park in the middle of the night. Xing, a lonely and disturbed 41-year-old man, had apparently thought it would be fun to have sex with one of the steel sit-up benches around the park.

The bench has small holes in it, which Xing used in an attempt to satisfy himself. However, once he became aroused he found that he was stuck and could not get his penis out of the small hole.

He panicked and called the police for help. When police arrived, they found Xian stuck to the bench face-down.

Doctors then tried to release some of the pressure by removing some of his blood, but the penis was so swollen that they had to cut the entire bench and take it with Xian to the hospital.

Doctors took four painful hours to separate Xian from his bench. They stated that if he had been stuck there for even an hour longer, they would have to remove his penis.

I have been meaning to write to you. I know you love getting notes from your AirAsia customers. You have a blog, several websites, wiki page and even Facebook, all for people to get in touch with you. I decided against writing you a direct email because I think what I have to say is widely shared by other people as well. So if you do reply to me, I can share your reply.
Let me congratulate you on your appointment as F1 boss and a trustee of 1 Malaysia Foundation. Second, congratulations on your titles after such a short career in aviation — I mean less than five years ago you were “call me Tony” then you became Datuk and now Datuk Seri. At the rate you are going, I suspect you will be Tan Sri by the end of next year!

The reason I am writing is because I keep reading how well your airline is doing— it’s making tons of money and ordering a massive number of Airbus planes. You have gone international with AA X, insurance, hotels and goodness what else!

Yet somehow I think you have lost your human touch and are now solely interested in making money, just like the blood-sucking Malaysian elite you joined recently. Yet you keep telling us, in your public interviews anyway, that making money is not your main aim but providing a “service” to the rakyat! How can we, the poor rakyat, not remember that before you descended from the mountain, we had to pay “sky high” prices just to fly. As you say, now “everyone can fly”. So, a big Terima Kasih from me and 28 million other Malaysians!

What I am talking about is your reluctance to use the passenger-bridge in all airports in Malaysia . You put the blame on MAHB’s high charges. I’m sure since yours is a volume business, MAHB will be happy to offer you a special deal since you must be their second biggest customer after MAS. I cannot believe that with the millions you are making, you cannot afford to use the bridge. Or if you are really desperate, I am sure you can add 50 sen to every ticket sold to cover part of the costs.

I say this because I took a flight recently from LCCT to East Malaysia . When we arrived, it was raining heavily. Several mothers with children, and old people, were reluctant to leave the plane. But alias, your crew literally pushed them off since they only have 25 minutes to fly out again. I felt so sorry for one of the old aunties who had to carry two bags (she was trying to save RM10 because of your no-free luggage policy) and there was no one from Air Asia to help her with an umbrella. One mummy with children fared even worse. She was carrying an infant and could not hold the umbrella properly. I asked one of the flight stewardesses to help her but she gave me a dirty look. I guess nobody wanted to be caught in a mini-typhoon. I tried my best my help her but she got soaked because the umbrella was designed for one person only.

I can go on and on, and described the scene at the staircase since we all had to walk up to the “arrival hall”. Let’s just say it was a heart-breaking scene. The old people had to climb up the stairs totally soaked, and I will not be surprised if they came down with pneumonia. One of the children slipped because the staircase was wet.

So, Tony, can you please show us your heart? Now that you travel first or business class, and no longer a member of the working class, can you just do this little favour for the rest of us? I am sure it can be counted as CSR and win you another award

Malaysia police teen shooting, Aminulrasyid Amzah

Four Malaysian policemen are being investigated for fatally shooting a 15-year-old boy who allegedly tried to run them over with his car after being asked to stop for a check, an official said Tuesday.

Aminulrasyid Amzah was shot Monday in central Selangor state when the four patrolmen tried to stop his car, said a state police official, who declined to be named citing protocol. He said a passenger in the car escaped.

The officers tried to flag the car down after seeing Aminulrasyid and his passenger "behaving suspiciously," he said without elaborating.

However, Aminulrasyid allegedly sped away and was finally cornered by two patrol cars, said the officer. One patrolman opened fire when the teenager tried to reverse into them, he said.

One bullet, supposedly aimed at the car tires, hit Aminulrasyid, who died at the spot, the official said. The officers are being investigated for murder, which carries the mandatory death penalty, he said.

A machete, believed to have been used in robberies, was found in the car, he said.

Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar promised a thorough investigation. The four officers remain free but have been reassigned to desk duties.

"I deeply regret and am saddened with what had happened," he was quoted by the New Straits Times as saying. The official confirmed his comments.

Malaysian police frequently shoot allegedly armed suspects who they say tried to attack them. Usually, no probes are ordered. But the age of the suspect merits a probe in this case, the official said.

Local human rights group Suaram called for an independent probe into this and other cases of fatal police shootings, saying dozens of suspects had been shot in recent years without any police officers facing action.

"This is a larger problem of impunity in the police force," said John Liu, a Suaram coordinator. "It's obviously a big problem now."

The Difference between FOCUSING on PROBLEMS and FOCUSING on SOLUTIONS

Case # 1 : When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens would not work at zero gravity (ink will not flow down to the writing surface).

Solution # 1 : To solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

Solution # 2 : And what did the Russians do...?? They used a pencil.

Case # 2 : One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of the empty soapbox, which happened in one of Japan 's biggest cosmetics companies. The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soapbox that was empty.

Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly Line, which transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some reason, one soapbox went through the assembly line empty.

Management asked its engineers to solve the problem.

Solution # 1 : Post-haste, the engineers worked hard to devise an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors manned by two people to watch all the soapboxes that passed through the line to make sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but they spent a whoopee amount to do so.

Solution # 2 : But when a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with the same problem, he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc., but instead came out with another solution.

He bought a strong industrial electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched the fan on, and as each soapbox passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes out of the line.

Marijuana is pretty much illegal everywhere. Ever thought to wonder why?

It's a pretty similar story to the electric car.

Hemp can be used to make:

Plastics - biodegradable too

Paper - 4.1x as efficient as trees

Clothing - durable, the fibers are stronger than that of wood

Fuel

Food - the seeds contain lots of protein and two essential fatty acids that clean out cholesterol and can barely be found elsewhere in nature.

It also has a massive carbon absorbency rate, can be grown nearly anywhere & reaches maturity in a matter of months.

People have argued (and it's very disputable) that hemp could:

Make America energy independent

Solve world hunger

Help curb carbon emissions

So why is it illegal?

Historically:

As has been evident throughout history, many people with power curb the world to best assist themselves.

Harry Anslinger was appointed director of a division of the US Treasury Department called the Bureau of Narcotics in 1930 by his uncle in law named Andrew Mellon. Anslinger was an avid racist, and pot was known to be associated with blacks and hispanics. He built a great deal of his campaign on marijuana's use amongst what he considered the 'degenerate races'. So, personal career advancement was a big motive for him, but wait, there's more..

Andrew Mellon; who appointed him his position, was a primary investor in Dupont, a company that had just patented a method of making various plastics. Making cannabis illegal would rule out the competition for companies like Dupont, because this would mean making hemp illegal as well. The image pot had developed in the media due in part to folks like Anslinger was a facade based on racism and circumstantial evidence with no scientific or medical substantiation that would serve the purposes of corporate greed.

Anslinger's campaign was also supported by William Randolph Hearst, who owned a chain of newspapers that were printed on paper supplied by the hundreds of acres of timber forests he owned. His paper empire was threatened by hemp and its ability to produce as much paper in 1 acre as 4.1 acres of trees are capable of, so his motives are pretty obvious. It is also important to note that the racist, sensationalist articles he published in his newspapers that demonized marijuana helped him sell papers. Tarnishing the name and legal status of marijuana and in turn removing hemp from his competition was an extremely profitable endeavour for this guy.

Right Now:

Arguably hemp is a superior candidate to almost every resource our society runs on, which isn't exactly a favorable quality in the perspective of let's say, oil-tycoons. Not to mention alcohol and tobacco corporations (holding politicians in their pockets) would also lose profits due to the availability of a much cheaper substitute.

The fact that marijuana is illegal really has virtually nothing to do with its psychoactive properties, aside from perhaps the fact that its users feel it has medicinal effects and it would be too cheap and easy (given its adaptive, un-patented & durable nature) an alternative for people to buying pills.

It won't happen. The big wigs have too much money on the line. They allow very few clinical tests and a fear has been incited into the minds of the general public. But maybe.... Maybe hemp could save the world.
