Seismic Bearing Demo at Second Penang Bridge First Technical Conference

I took this video during a recent conference on Penang Second Bridge held in Kuala Lumpur. Among the speaker was a Director of Malaysia Rubber Research who was based in London. I must say the talk was good and should had impressed the audience on the role of seismic rubber bearing.

According to him a lot of rubber seismic bearing had been installed in the Penang Second Bridge.

Part of the 23km Penang Second already had the bridge deck installed.

My Own Version of Angry Birds

Last weekend was not that exciting at all. I decided to get my self busy again with the computer after a full month of computer free month during the Ramadhan.

I thought why not create my own version of angry birds. 24 hours after that thought I managed to create this
game called ANGRY BALLS. Since it used c++ instead of javascript I am not sure how to publish it on web.

Singa Pura Pura

Despite winning the soccer match against Malaysia I don't think Singapore is a team we need to respect. It was just like watching the match between Malaysia against South Korea during the 80s where dirty tactics are their biggest strategy . I think we should not allow them to participate in future Malaysian League. After all their players are not native Singaporean and the game does not appear to reflect the real capabilities of South East Asian.

Will the real Singa stands up ?

Floria 2011 - Putrajaya

Putrajaya Floria 2011 .

It was another family night out in Putrajaya.It wasn't planned due to all kind concern from the BERSIH 2 road block. Luckily there was none in Putrajaya. In fact there were few policemen on duties in Putrajaya. I supposed most of them were busy managing the crowd in KL.

The floats show was not that bad. The garden are really dull at night. I wonder when is the right time to see the garden as I can see there was nothing really exciting. Tourism Malaysia's float look awesome.

Fireworks display in Putrajaya had always been spectacular and my kids had really enjoyed the night outing. As usual I was unprepared for the fireworks photographies and I had to struggle to make the adjustment for the camera setting.

Kelana Jaya Extension LRT

The proposed LRT line that will be built in between Putra Heights and Taman Alam Megah had created many issues to the local. Whatever happen I need the LRT service. For many years I have to suffer stressful 45 minutes driving in order to be in Petaling Jaya before 8.45 am and I hope I can switch to LRT two years from now.

T means Trouble

In Japan T means Tsunami and it is a horrible natural disaster. Back in Malaysia T means Trouble and it is man made.

Maybe that is the way our stupid politician want Malaysia to be famous for. Never ending sex issue, porn video and all that nasty words that you wish your kids should had never see in the front page of our local newspapers.

When a real Tsunami hit Malaysia in future outsiders will have plenty of reason not to bother us. Maybe we are looking for a big trouble and God needs to send a big Tsunami to clean our dirty Boleh land.

The folk in Taman Bendahara (along the way to Kuala Selangor) must be really confused. After several permutation of seven letters they seemed to have given up. So is it WELCOM or MELCOM or WELCOME, MELCOME ......Finally a coconut dropped on their heads ..and eureka !!! it should be MELCOW+slanting E + reverse + halfway down.. That's it...Well done....

By the way they can't even spell SELAMAT DATANG...

Strange things always happen in Melaka. I am not sure if the people in Padang Temu just could not careless what the authority decided for them or they had just ran out of ideas. How could they named a road as Jalan Mayat. It is just strange and scary especially the road is just next to the school compound.

Just ask the students in that school randomly and I am sure they can suggest a better name to replace that scary name ....

i-City : Just Light and nothing more

I went to this place called i-City last weekend and there was nothing exciting as far as the place is concerned. There are no new architecture and no special structure just some artificial trees with colored neon.

The kids may love the light show but that is it , nothing more.

Anyway if you love night photography and has no where to go - just bring your DSLR and there are plenty of object to shot in i-City

Driving with or without license or a license to kill...

There are so many people writing on their blogs trying to blame the 15 year old boy from Shah Alam driving the car without license.

Yes he has committed some crime but you and me or any kids or even a 40 years man with or without license will sometime panicked when get chased by some mat rempit or several police cars.

But the question of the day - do we need to get a shot from the back of our head ?
Can the police radar detected the 'parang' (if there is any) in his moving car and chased him as if he had killed or robbed someone .

Just because public made all kind of comment, someone then decided to pull all the policemen from the street - don't be childish .

To all other good policeman out there : someday , you and me will have at least one 15 years old kid in our home or in the street one day.

Our duty is to protect and guide them -for whatever mistake they have done, killing them is not an option or the final option.

Second Penang Bridge

At last (26th April 2010) the consession company of the Second Penang Bridge , JKSB and CHEC Construction (M) Sdn Bhd and UEM Builder Berhad had agreed to sign the COntract Agreement.

The 23.5 km bridge which cost approximately RM4.5 billion will be operational at the end 2013.

Only the marine parts of the bridge had been awarded. The tender for land part of the bridge had been closed and is now being evaluated by JKSB.

Last weekend a 21 year old student died in Selayang when he tried to escape from being caught by local resident who suspected him spending a night with her college mate. Possible cause of death - panic response.

Last night a15 year old student from Shah Alam was shot dead by a policeman when he tried to escape from being caught due to "some reason"... Possible cause of death - panic response.

How can we trust the people around us anymore. How can we trust the people who has the power to protect our kids but instead take away their life.

Are death the ultimate penalty they have to pay for the mistakes they have done.

You can find all kind of ballons during the festival -from small bubbles, kids ballon to the biggest from 12 international participants.

Special remote control zepplin featuring PUTRAJAYA.

Off course the weather is really hot - even hot air ballon needs sun glass.

The show is more interesting after the sunset. More action and more colour and more glow.

I was too busy paying attention to the ballon up in the air - forgoten my kids water ballon had drifted away to the centre of Putrajaya lake. 40 ringgit per ride is a bit too expensive....

So the smallest ballons from the show made by kids - just blow them away to the street of Putrajaya

Long Wait at Maxis Centre

After several months of poor broadband service by Maxis I decided to return the modem last week. There was only one counter open for registration and cancellation of contract and I had to wait almost 2 hours before being served.

So guys and girls if you want to sign for Maxis Broadband please think of the day you need to terminatel your contract.

Worst of all their Collection Centre told me I can return the modem without being charged RM200 but the officer at the cancellation counter told the opposite.

Another Death Avenue for Our Kids

Our kids are now exposed to all kind of risk due to poor planning of safety for events and training organized by the government.

Year after year we have kids died during the national training. Today we have kids died because of 1Malaysia event.

If you do not know how to plan for safety don't organised anything.

There is no need to show your condolence in Parliment and expect everthing will be fine for the rest of us. We just got enough of your acting.

To all the parents who lost their kids .. May God bless all of them.

When a small pipe burst - LDP way

Well done LDP for making a lot of money by letting thousand of vehicles crawled along your highway for more than two hours.

You know you could inform the highway users to divert before the massive traffic jam built up but making money is your top priority.

Such a lousy PR from a public listed company only shows how greedy LDP is. Shame on you. No need for Selamat Hari Raya for your staff this year.

I hope LDP knows how to spend this sin money !
