The RM600,000 annual scholarship provides an opportunity to Malaysian children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, who show a high potential for academic excellence.

The scholarship includes all fees, materials, uniforms and lunches, and covers education from primary Year 5 through to the end of secondary school.

CONDITIONS & PROCEDURE

I. Types Of Award
The above awards are not full scholarships but are financial assistance given to needy students in the form of half-loan half-grant awards. This means that half of the amount disbursed will be repayable to the Foundation as an interest free study loan.

Repayment will commence after graduation on a monthly instalment basis.

II. Value Of Award
(Subject to change at the absolute discretion of the Foundation)
The value of each award will be up to RM12,000 per annum per student.

III. Conditions For Application
a. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.
b. Applicants should possess good academic qualifications and should be active in school.
c. Kuok Foundation Awards are for needy students only.

IV. Procedure For Application

Please read the following instructions carefully before filling the form :

1. All applications must be made on the official application forms of the Foundation. Completed forms should be received by the Polytechnic or Foundation’s office on or before the closing date at the following address:

2. Applicants must enclose certified copies of the following documents :
a. SPM or equivalent.
b. School testimonials and school leaving certificates.
c. Acceptance Letter from Polytechnic.
d. Identity card and birth certificate.

3. Existing Polytechnic students should submit all results obtained in Polytechnic.

4. Particulars of all brothers and sisters must be provided irrespective of whether they are contributing any income to the family. Applicants should also ensure that particulars of parents / guardian, all brothers and sisters are verified by submitting copies of the following documents :
a. Parents’ / Guardian’s identity cards.
b. Parents’ / Guardian’s proof of income i.e. Income Tax Form J / B / BE together with EA Form for the last 2 years. In the case of business income, please also submit Statement of Income and Expenditure / Profit and Loss Account for the last 2 years. If parents’ / guardian’s income is not taxable, please submit other proof of income such as latest EA Form, official salary slip or official letter from employer confirming their income. Letter from employer should be on the company’s letterhead and must have the employer’s full name and telephone numbers.
c. Birth certificates of all brothers and sisters
d. If brothers and sisters are working, please submit their Income Tax Form J / B / BE together with EA Form and Statement of Income and Expenditure / Profit and Loss Account (in the case of business income) for the last 2 years. If their income is not taxable, please submit other proof of income such as latest EA Form, official salary slip or official letter from employer confirming their income. Letter from employer should be on the company’s letterhead and must have the employer’s full name and telephone numbers.
e. If brothers and sisters are pursuing higher education in colleges / universities / institutions, please submit letters or documents to confirm that they are currently students of the colleges / universities / institutions.

Note : If brothers and sisters are studying, please state level of education e.g. Std 1,
Form 6 etc. and where they are studying in Section ‘C’ of the Application Form.

5. Referees stated in Section ‘H’ of the Application Form must be able to provide information on applicant’s family background when requested by the Foundation. The referees should also be contactable by telephone during office hours. Please ensure that the telephone numbers given are valid and correct.

6. Please ensure that all documents and information requested are enclosed / stated. If documents mentioned in Section 4 above or information required are not immediately available, please explain why and submit them within 1 month from the closing date for application. Applicant’s name and polytechnic must be stated when submitting these documents.
Please note that all documents submitted will not be returned to applicants regardless of the outcome of their application. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.

7. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for interview. Interviews will be held at the office of Kuok Foundation Berhad in Kuala Lumpur. It is important for applicants to give their telephone contact to enable the Foundation to call them for interview if shortlisted.

7. Hanya permohonan dengan maklumat yang lengkap sahaja akan diproses. Permohonan adalah dianggap lengkap apabila pemohon menekan butang “SAH & HANTAR” dan seterusnya mencetak 1 salinan borang permohonan untuk dihantar ke Bahagian Biasiswa, KPT.

In 1993 the Government of the Republic of Indonesian started to offer postgraduate (master degree) scholarships to students from the NAM member countries.

However, since 2002, after the cold war ended, the scholarship has been offered to citizens of other developing countries such as Thailand, Fiji, South Korea, Suriname, Guyana, Turkey, Vietnam, Vanuatu and attracted more applicants. Over the years up to 2005, 243 students from 36 countries have completed the NAM scholarship program.

Considering that the international political development has made the use of the term “NAM” irrelevant, this scholarship program has been renamed Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship (DCPS) or Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB).

STUDY PROGRAMS
The scholarship is offered to postgraduate students (Master Degree) to study at one of the universities in Indonesia for 3 years, consisting of one year of the Indonesian Language and Preparatory Programs and 2 years of Master Program with the arrangement below.

Tawaran Biasiswa Sukan ini terbuka kepada semua atlet yang bergiat aktif dalam semua bidang sukan yang diiktiraf oleh Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) dan Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN).
Biasiswa Sukan ditawarkan kepada atlet-atlet yang mengikuti pengajian bagi kursus dalam Negara yang diiktiraf di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) merangkumi IPT Awam, IPT Swasta, Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti. Walau bagaimanapun, bagi kursus-kursus kritikal seperti perubatan, farmasi dan pergigian, tawaran biasiswa hanya untuk pengajian di IPT Awam sahaja.
Penerima Biasiswa Sukan ini tidak mempunyai kaitan kontrak untuk berkhidmat dengan kerajaan. Walau bagaimanapun, pemegang adalah digalakkan untuk menyumbang ke arah pembangunan sukan Negara apabila tamat pengajian kelak.

Tawaran ini hanya dibuka sekali setahun. Hebahan tawaran akan diumumkan melalui laman web rasmi Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia ( www.mohe.gov.my ). Pemohon hendaklah membuat permohonan secara dalam talian (online) sahaja. Setiap pemohon hanya layak membuat satu (1) permohonan. Pemohon boleh membuat kemaskini sehingga tarikh tutup permohonan. SEMAKAN PANGGILAN TEMUDUGA boleh dibuat mulai 21 JULAI 2009 (tertakluk kepada pindaan). Pemohon yang layak ke panggilan temuduga sahaja perlu membawa bersama DUA (2) salinan cetakan permohonan yang telah disahkan oleh Pegawai Sukan dari Pusat Sukan IPT masing-masing dan dokumen sokongan yang berkaitan semasa menghadiri temuduga. Permohonan yang tidak lengkap secara automatik tidak akan dipertimbangkan permohonannya.
