Many thought the day would never come but, I have quit World of Warcraft for good. I’ve vendored all my gear, given away all my gold and cancelled my subscription.

Now before you think I have quit because of the new expansion or changes, guild politics, raid drama, raid progression, etc., I just wanted you to know I just don’t have the 3-4 hours a day to sink into the game anymore.

Further, I of all people did not expect to have a stroke at 33. So its time for me to sit back, take a break and enjoy the simpler things in life :)

The carelessness of a contractor has wiped out all phone and Internet access in my development as they "accidentally" cut and removed the fibre optics from the exchange as they were laying cables for a competitor. This marks my 20th hour on mobile Internet. I sincerely hope the contractors lose their license.

Dark Souls is by far the best game on any platform right now !!! Never has there been a more compelling game and more white knuckle moments in any game that I have played

The immense freedom you get to play your character the way you see fit is just amazing

There has been a lack of updates lately as my little man took it upon himself to join us a couple weeks early :)

With my new foray into fatherhood, I've actually stopped playing World Of Warcraft (we'll see how long this lasts, so far its been 7 days) and I'm gaming less on Steam... However, I am still gaming, what on and what am I playing ???

So far I've beaten the Bellfry Gargoyles on all four of my characters and I'm just taking the game at a leisurely pace to explore everything that the game has to offer...

Oh, if you plan on playing the game properly, I would advise you get this for "all" your characters...

Not only is it easy to get but it will be the most powerful weapon you see for a while (it doesn't hurt that you can get it really early in the game as well)... Just remember to have the required 16 STR and 10 DEX to wield it effectively...

A Tale Of Two Logitechs

The "W" and "Left Shift" keys have stopped responding on the Logitech G15 (top pic) possibly from my Dead Island marathon over the weekend...

After mulling several alternatives, I finally settled on the Logitech New Touch (bottom pic)...

I know the replacement seems a little spartan in terms of it's feature set as compared to the G15 which still retails for 11 times more than the New Touch, but all I need know is a functioning WASD cluster and a "Left Shift" key...

Over the years that I had the G15 I probably used the LCD twice and the macro keys in no more than five occasions. Therefore, I will have no problems adjusting to a keyboard without those features...

League of Legends !!!

I’ve played my fair share of action RTS games (Demigod, DOTA, etc.) and I have to say that League of Legends is in a class of its own… It’s a lot easier to pick up (I only started on Sunday night) and the level of customization is insane !!!

I also like the fact that it has a MMO feel to it in the sense that you can level up your character and go on different build trees !!! NICE !!!

The matchmaking system is also awesome and from what I have seen, you can not only track your stats (screenshot below) but you can also see how your item build worked out !!!

With this many positives, this is one Free to Play game that I won’t be putting down soon

It appears I have stopped "Killing Floor" from crashing when 1920 x 1080 resolution is selected and being soundless on the Xonar sound card... All you need to do to rectify this is change the display mode to "OpenGL" in the ini file and making sure that "NvidiaGpu=True". For the sound, the Xonar control panel must be open and the profile must be set to "GX"... Hope that helps...

So you’re bored with all the random heroics and progression runs (or lack of) and you’re looking for a short distraction from your daily World Of Warcraft routine… What could you do, if you wanted to take a break and yet still play the game???

Do you sit idly in Orgrimmar and toon watch, or do you do something productive???

Well I opted for something productive and leveled Herbalism from scratch to 525 !!!

After having the customary victory drink, I thought to myself, “Why stop at 1 when I can do 2???”

I guess the achievement log above says it all eh???
