			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>While males are often credited for dominating their fields in most societies, one field in which they have not made much progress in is life expectancy and their own personal health.</p>
<p>It might be our egos or just plain ignorance &#8211; males often rarely discuss the health issues affecting them. More often than not, these health issues are ignored until it is too late. Some of the major health issues that can affect males include colon cancer, prostate problems, sexually transmitted diseases and along with the stresses of a busy career and responsibilities of raising a family, psychological problems.</p>
<p>One of the factors that play a critical role in male health is diet and nutrition. Most guys rarely watch their diet and eat whatever appeals to them. More often than not, this leads to overindulgence in unhealthy foods that do not adequately supplement the daily nutrition intake. Admit it &#8211; it is hard to resist a well-cooked chunk of oily steak, a bit fat juicy burger or deep fried chicken thigh!</p>
<p>Lifestyle is another critical factor in male health. Cigarettes, alcohol and a wild night out with the gang sounds like fun but will only be a detriment to your health in the long run.</p>
<p>Everyone can and should play their part to improve their health by taking action and being more aware of their habits and lifestyles. Do watch out for future articles in this space that will share with you how.</p>
