Calgary Gets First Glimpse Of Extraordinary Boat

Wizard Lake Marine unveiled Canada's most prideful wakeboarding boat on Thursday at the Calgary Boat Show in front of a crowd of eager fans. This Malibu "Canadian Edition" VLX is highlighted by a Maple Leaf Flag graphic down the side and also embroidered into the carpet, plus several other customized features, making this vessel a must-see at the show.

"We took an award-winning boat and created a tribute to our enthusiastic Canadian fan base," Nick Skally, Malibu's Director Of Marketing said. "The flag graphic on the side is actually in-laid into the gel coat instead of using a decal wrap. And the red metal flake graphic really pops. There are features on this boat you won't see on any other Malibu or any other wakeboard boat for that matter."

Wizard Lake Marine, located in Calmar, Alberta, is Malibu's highest volume dealer in the world and just won the coveted "Dealer Of The Year." Their staff will be on site all weekend with the "Canadian Edition" on display through Sunday in booth E1-A, E2.

Canadian Industry Legend Chooses Malibu

Much love to Bryan Gardner and his cousin Mark Fullerton of Muskoka, Canada, who are proud new owners of a 2012 VTX and VLX through Gordon Bay Marine. Gardner, former team rider for Hyperlite and founding editor of SBC Wakeboard Magazine, is also known as one of Canada's "Top Ten Most Influential People in Wakeboarding."

Currently a producer of CBC's Hockey Night in Canada, Gardner is psyched to spend his free time in a Malibu this summer. "I chose the VTX to enjoy with family and friends at our cottage. We needed a boat that can do it all from wakeboarding to wakesurfing, teaching kids and loading up the family for a cruise," Gardner said. "It's been a long time since I've been this excited. I'm ecstatic to rekindle a relationship with Malibu because they were such a major part of my wakeboarding career."
