Religious Woman Decides to keep unborn baby

2010-05-16T14:10:00.000-07:00

Seriously People... What is this?

Link to main article

Someone woman's religion states that she has to keep her unborn baby and treat it like and actual human being.

Call me harsh but getting this attached to your unborn baby is rather unhealthy and introducing it to your children is just down right scary. It looks like an over sized jelly baby.

What do you think?

Sin'Dorei - In Honor Of The Fallen Preview

2010-01-09T16:26:00.000-08:00

Chapter 1
Reclaiming Sunstrider Isle

“The sooner you begin your education, Harrnes, the better for us all. There is little room for error, so listen closely. The Burning Crystals - the green floating objects to the west of the Sunspire here - have long been used to power the isle's experimentations. The mana wyrms were their guardians, but the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas has driven them errant from our lack of magical control over them. There is little choice but to thin their numbers for reclamation. Do this, then return to me.”

-Magistrix Erona

Blood-elves, or as they are known in their native language of Thalassian: Sin’dorei; Named in honour of their fallen that were killed by the scourge in the battle for Quel’Thalas during the third war. The Blood-elves joined the allegiance of the Horde in hope of reuniting themselves with their leader Kael’thas who resides in the extra dimensional realms of the shattered remains of the world formerly known as Draenor or Outland.

In Kael’thas’ absence Lor’themar Theron helped them to reclaim their home city of Silvermoon. Lor’themar Theron along with Halduron Brightwing and Grand Magister Rommath lead the people of Silvermoon city and have kept the race in check.

The story we see begins in Eversong Woods, an area dominated by the trees and greenery that surround it. I say greenery, but, even the green of the woods seems to correlate with the race that habituates the land and seems somewhat, red. Harrnes, the Blood-Elf, practising in the ways of necromancy, along with her brother are two of the many who are seeking to reunite themselves with their mighty leader, Kael’thas, in hope of reaching the haven they were promised. Matoran, her brother, contrasted Harrnes in the way that he was a warrior of the light, a paladin. An unlikely mix to come from a similar background, but nonetheless they had the same goal. Harrnes, being a warlock, was accompanied by her lesser demon. An imp by the name of Jubkin.

Culling the mana wyrms that fed off the unstable energy being release from the green crystals that inhabited the island was their first task. A mixture of holy energy and shadow magic would ensue as their numbers were thinned.

"Sin'Dorei - In Honor Of The Fallen" Story.

2010-01-09T16:18:00.000-08:00

I decided to try my hand at writing a piece of fan fiction based on the popular MMO, World of Warcraft. Yes i hear the boos and the hisses coming from you but i started writing a while ago and was quite fond of it. I tried my hand at creating some images to go with parts of the story.

The storyline is based on the Blood Elf race, namely two particular Blood Elves, Harrnes and Matoran. The names derive from mine and my brother's original Blood Elf characters that we created a few years ago. There isn't much content in the story at the moment but i will post a preview of a snippet of the story so far. I will even include some pretty pictures with it :P.

I hope you like what you see so far, and if you do, keep checking back here as i update.

Thanks.

BARON GEDDON: DEAD

Another one bites the dust making out total four out of ten!

The Strategy:

The things needed to take into consideration in this fight are the spells that this boss uses. Even though he is a level 60 raid boss, your character will very rarely resist any of his spells. There are two ways of dealing with this fight and i will explain each tactic. The spells used by the Baron are as follows...

-- Ignite Mana -- This spell burns mana and health at the same time. Whatever mana you lose from the effect, the same amount of damage will be done to your health.

-- Inferno -- This should be no issue to you at all. You tanking demon will have avoidance, reducing what little damage this spell do by 80%.

-- Living Bomb -- The bastard spell of this guys arsenal. Will explode after a certain amount of time and throw you into the air and thus taking falling damage.

GARR: DEAD

Another boss down. This time it was the molten rock elemental, Garr. Using an exploit made for a slow but easy kill.

The Strategy:

For starters, a lot of trash needs to be cleared in preparation for this fight and the spell 'Fel Domination' needs to be OFF cooldown (check my character's armory for talent spec). The map below shows which trash needs to be cleared. Anything along the yellow line will obstruct this encounter and will need to be killed.
After the trash is cleared, the next step in preparation is to drop a 'Demonic Circle' and the right end of the yellow line, just in front of the lava. Next you will need to summon your Imp pet and run to the end of the tunnel just before Garr. Once there, send your imp in to attack Garr and as soon as he engages LEG IT!
Use you 'Demonic Circle: Teleport' to get yourself back to your tanking point. As soon as you re-appear quickly pop 'Fel Domination' and summon your Felguard. This next bit needs to be done with SPLIT SECOND timing. When Garr is close, quickly set your Felgaurd to attack him and then jump into the lava. If done correctly Garr will be attacking your Felguard and the adds he has will be hovering by the side of the lava targeting you, but evading. That rules them out of the encounter.
From here, all is a simple tank and spank being careful to not overaggro your pet or else Garr will evade and thus restarting the event. Keep yourself alive by draining Garr and keeping corruption and curse of agony up to dps, heal yourself and heal your pet. Keep your pet alive and he will drop in no time.
Matoran in this encounter acted as a threat reducer to lower my threat (so i could nuke and kil him faster) and to throw heals will i focused on dps.

NEXT UP: BARON GEDDON

2-Man Molten Core - 2/10

2009-06-16T15:34:00.000-07:00

MAGMADAR: DEAD

That's right, moments later the big doggy was tank and well and truly spanked quickly throwing us to two out of ten bosses dead!

The Strategy:

The room, as you know, is filled with doggies, lots of them. There are two ways of doing this. If you want to be cautious then you can have your paladin friend round a group of hounds up while you pop every cooldown you have a AoE them all. Alternatively, you can use an invisibility potion and hug the right hand wall on the way to Magmadar and climb up onto the small ledge that is on the right hand side in the back corner. This will be you tanking position.
Both me and Matoran stood at the top of the slope and sent the Felguard (Flathuun) towards the boss. As soon as we engaged, i pulled Flathuun back to the tanking position.
From here is is more or less tank and spank with the exception of a fear every so often. One word of adive would be to bring your insignia of the alliance/horde with you and ONLY use it if you are att risk of being feared into a group of Core Hounds (if you cleared the room, you wont have this problem).
Fire resistance aura was a must here with aggro shifting between the three of us quite regularly. If aggro is held well by the pet then all you need to concentrate on is keeping him alive and not running into the doggies!

NEXT UP: GARR & GEHENNAS

2-Man Molten Core - 1/10

2009-06-16T15:07:00.000-07:00

LUCIFRON: DEAD

First boss of this massive instance dead within an hour of starting, although only with one member inside. (Matoran still doing his attunement...). A solo effort brought down the first boss quite easily, albeit a few aggro issues and getting killed by the doggys on the first pull.

The Strategy:

Firstly, choose you Felguard as your pet for maximum dps and better aggro handling and get ready for the initial pull. It is crucial that this pull is done right.
Wait for Lucifron to walk along his patrol path until he is closest to the entrance that you came in at and wait for him and his adds to turn around. When they have their backs to you, send you pet in to agrro them, set it to passive and run back to the end of the cave. If the pull was right then no Core Hounds will have aggroed.
Simple Aggro control is needed here. Put curse of agony on each of the three so as to not make life so hard with healing your pet. When enough aggro is established start to single target on of the two adds and drain them down whilst keeping your pet up with health funnel. One thing to remember is the curse Lucifron does which increases the cost of spells. Because of this you may need to pack a mana potion, health potion, health stone or bandages.
When both adds are dead it is simple 'tank and spank' keeping your pet alive with health funnel and draining the boss for health. Bandages are very useful here.

3.1: Argent tournament and soul shards

2009-04-24T16:53:00.001-07:00

The argent tournament once aain shows how well Blizzard can implement in game events.
This time it certainly excells the 'Quel Danas' addition.
As you can see at the moment I am slacking and have not yet championed my faction...

Urgh! Soul shards now limited to a maximum of 32!?
After Blizzard implemented the new idea to drain soul (causing it to have a chance to create a shard each tick) i went on a shard hunt only to realise i was capped...

WoW Calendar

2009-04-18T16:47:00.000-07:00

Yes, some of you may have heard about it before but at the moment i am currently compiling a World of Warcraft calendar that runs on your PC. The insperadó came when i saw my brother's 'rip-page' calendar and thought, 'I could get better pictures,' and i did; For about three months worth of pictures...

That's where I need your help!
I need you to send me pictures of ANYTHING in the world of Warcraft game. One idea would be to send me a picture of your in-game character, character name and an idea for flavor text to follow. It's that simple. Let's see what we have so far...

So there is a snap of the code and there is a HELL of a lot.

And there is a sneak peak of the GUI in the builder. As you can see, it contains the picture, a name and some flavour text.

And alas, the program running in its current alpha form, displaying what it would on my brother's birthday.

So come on people, help me make this work :)

Patch 3.1 and twinks.

2009-04-16T13:13:00.000-07:00

It happened...

Patch 3.1 hit and twinks got hit with a big swing of the nerf bat.
Head enchants were given a 50th level restriction and legs, a 60th.

Head over to Almost Evil to see more.
