Today I can proudly call me as a sadak after attaining my Guru’s Deeksha,my whole life has been changed .

As a person I was restless short temper and self centered until one day a sadak had entered my life, he had invited me one of the satsang which was held in Mangalore at Town hall in 2012 in December and he told me there would be a chanting of Durga Shapatadi.

I was happily accepted his invitation because I was trying to chant Durga Saptahati shlokas part by part through CD but the script was in sanskrit so it was a tough job for me.

As I heard Avadoot Babaji my first thought is I had baba’s connection from last 6 yrs every morning used to watch his programmed in TV.

I found his way of teaching is totally different TUM CHAHTE KYA HO he would say all the time it was a very impressive and wonderring...as the years passed I have forgotten the whole thing, my daughter’s marriage and the birth of my grandson, I was totally occupied with my own world.

After I attended the shibir for 6 days and I had started to chant Durga saptashati at home by Babji’s grace I have got and very positive energy within me and I found changes in my behavior i had become calm and very helpful and the guests felt very comfortable and felt the energy level is high at home and I was quiet happy for a period of time.

Once again my desire to attend the shibir become very strong.Last Year on 2013 when my visit to India,I heard Baba's shibir will be holding in Indore.But being very optimistic ,my meeting with my Guru not stopped me..When my husband was down I had expressed my desire to attend the Indore shibir and also told him if he is not interested to stay out and we both decided to travel to attend the shibir.While I am traveling I always felt my Guru is along with me and I could feel his presence all the time. For my surprise my husband enjoyed Babaji's shibira lot.

..My 7days shibir is one of the mile stone of my life.

I was totally surprised to see the big crowd all over from India it looked like another world people were very warm friendly and happy. While I see Avadoot Baba Swami Shivanandji’s my heart skip the beating ....because I was always praying Babaji and requesting him to see him personally . To be honest right from my childhood Lord Shiva was my favorite and I was sure Lord shiva connected me with my Guru.

And hear onward my journey went turned into another direction I start visiting to few shivirs and met few divine sadaks who has changed my life.
In chennai shivir there were many NRI's from all over the world,young and divine souls ..looking at them i start questioning myself where was I ? am I too late? And sincerely hope I am not so late ....I was surprised to see the young girls running to help a hand while serving,cleaning the plates etc.
Especially in Goa the foreigners were the highest followers of Babaji, their chanting of swadhya (bhajans) I really fell like hiding under my chair.....

Today

I am the creator of my own destiny.

I choose excellent health for myself,I choose prosperity for myself,
and I choose wonderful loving relationship for myself.

I am here not to have fear,anger,disease or suffering but just to give love unconditional love.

I don't give others the powers to choose for ME...Why let others choose for you?

Awaken your God you name it as Allah,Ram or Jesus he is within you! Before sleeping call Him and He comes.

Today's grandmothers lead full and active lives that include everything from working and traveling to attending meditation classes join clubs and lead a carefree life.

But that's no surprise. When we age we cast off the care and responsibilities of raising our children – as we move on with our lives, . Freedom comes, to do as we please, to stay in our pyjamas all day, should do as we desire, but something happens in the form of a beautiful baby who has the ability to twist us around its tiny finger. Yes, “I am a grandparent” now.

The joy of this tiny babe for one to fuss over, adore, and spoil with no responsibility and to be able to hand back to the parents, adds a new dimension to our lives. The first smile, the first tooth and first word not only swells the heart of the parent but also the hearts of the grandparents too.

We as grandparents, being older have something so special we can add to the richness of this child’s life; ‘time’. This is something busy parents rarely can afford. Somehow small children and an older person were designed to be together, small children take tiny steps and notice things a busy parent may not, and we older people are often slower, and have time – to study a caterpillar or an interesting bug with a young one at our side.

A bond grows between the small child and the grandparents; we can tell them and show the album what their parent was like as a child. . I do not mind reading the same story over and over again and the joy on their (and our) faces. When we see them fills one’s heart with pure love. This relationship also gives me a chance to find the child in ourselves once again, to sing silly songs and tell silly jokes, to laugh and color in once again.

Through the years, My grandson Dron have enjoyed many rich and wonderful experiences, and now it's time to share with him.I would love to treasure every moment of his every child act in his memory book.

This unique memory book gives a new generation of grandmothers to help a way for the beginners.

His knowledge about IPOD is simply amazing he is my teacher with this new technology .

My grandchild will love finding out more about me, a fascinating person in your own right, his passion for cars and the details and pics of the cars he is really interested in ,not only that he tries to explain me every small detail of his car collection.

My Grandchild will help you open with the special young people . If he found the person sounds he will pull out their hands and try to open with them, I am Dron Prabhu your name please..
His . straightforward ,innocence smart behavior is simply drives me crazy .

For my surprise my Dron just whispered on my ears....ama a LAPTOP.... APPLE!!

when you don't get enough sleep, the body produces excess cortisol, a hormone that breaks down skin cells. Get enough rest, , and you'll produce more high human growth hormone., which helps skin remain thick, more "elastic," and less likely to wrinkle.

Sleep on your back.

Oats

In general, vegetables and fruits are great for your skin. Get at least 2 to 2.5 cups of vegetables and 1.5 cups of fruit per day if you're a woman, or 3 cups of veggies and 2 cups of fruit if you're a man. Go for lots of colors so you get a variety of nutrients.

Also try: pink grapefruit, tomatoes, parsley and grapes.

Avocados

What Can I Do About Grey Hair?

Some gray hairs -- especially coarse hairs, prematurely gray hairs and gray hairs around the temples and hairlines -- are especially resistant to color or quicker to lose color than other gray hairs.

Try the following suggestions:

· Apply color to gray areas first. (This gives resistant gray hairs more time to absorb color.)

· Leave color on longer. (Adjust your timing and try it first in the strand test. Grays could take up to 45 minutes to color.)

· Increase your hair color level. (If your grays still show up even after you've adjusted the timing on your semi- or demi-permanent color, you might consider going up a level.)

Science is also searching for a better solution to gray hair. I genuinely feel L'oreal which enables the natural process of hair pigmentation to take place biologically through a slow oxidation process. With the right proportions, everyone could get back their own natural hair color!

Researchers are using this new chemical to come up with a new way to enhance hair color or cover gray.

Colored Hair Care and Tips

Color treated hair has special needs. Follow these tips to keep your hair looking great:

· Use a shampoo created especially for color-treated hair (Revlon, L'oreal, Tresemme)

· Wear hats or hair products with sunscreens to prevent your color from fading and drying in the sun

· Dampen your hair with bottled spring water before getting into a chlorine pool (it will help dilute the chlorine)

· Condition regularly

· Don't brush hair when wet -- use a wide-toothed comb

· Blot your hair dry -- don't wrap it or roughly dry it with a towel

· Avoid over drying your hair, blow dry until hair is almost, but not entirely, dry

Troubleshooting Tips

· Getting rid of color stains on skin -- Baby wipes work well, but try to avoid getting color on the skin to begin with and make sure to wipe excess from the ears and hairline before it has time to stain.

· Coloring during pregnancy -- Some doctors advise their patients to avoid any kind of chemical service during pregnancy. While there's little concrete evidence that coloring during pregnancy is medically harmful so please avoid coloring during your pregnancy period.

· Color fading due to chlorine -- If your local water contains a high amount of chlorine, you might consider getting a filter for your shower. Chlorine can strip color out of hair and make it very difficult to re-color.

Can I contact a deceased relative on my own? ( collections)

Is there a way to have a real-time two way

communication with a deceased loved one? This is

much harder. This is what professional mediums are

doing when they do readings. It’s difficult, though, if

you’re not naturally talented in this area.

Probably the best way to communicate with the dead

on your own is through meditation. Open and clear

your chakras,as soon as your prayers - ask your

deceased relatives to join you there.

The only problem is that you may mistake an

imagined visitation with a real one. It will be difficult

to discern if you are just making up their presence in

your mind.

One of the reasons to go to a medium is because if

they don’t know the deceased person and they don’t

know you, and information comes through that is

valid, you can be reasonably certain they are talking

to deceased loved one.

I myself, would seek another medium if I wanted to

communicate with one of my own deceased relatives.

That’s the only way I would know for sure. Or I

would try to invite them to a dream because I would

know that was real. But nothing takes the place of

having a total stranger tell you about your deceased

loved one and passing on messages from them.

Whether or not you are able to initiate direct

communication with a deceased loved one, please

know that they are with you, can hear you, and still

love you. And of course, they’re okay.

The only time I see an unsettled spirit is when there

was murder, accident, or suicide, and even then not

in every case are they unsettled.

I know it’s hard to lose someone you love and feel

like you’re never going to see or talk to them again.

But nothing could be further from the truth. The

dead don’t leave us, they just change form.

Do your best to receive their signs and open

yourself up for their communication. When you think

of them,send some love , and who knows you may

feel someday your loved one coming down to you .

Death..? Is not the end of Life

Death is not the end of life, death is just a departure for the Spirit, which is our true home in the after life. People today know about earthy things in much greater detail than they did in the past but when it comes to the important spiritual matters such as death and the world after death,it can be said that the people of the past were much knowledgeable.

The death does not occur when the physical body stops functioning. It is usually Closely related to how quickly a person is able to accept his/her death.During the first few days,the soul of the deceased person usually remains close to the place he/she lived and tries to follow the lifestyle he or she used to. Souls that depart usually wander around their house during after their first seven days after their physical death ,but when their conscious becomes clear enough ,a “Spirit Guide” comes to help them to realize that they are already dead. This

Spirit Guide could be ,in an ordinary case parents. siblings, a close friend who died before.

Souls cannot begin their departure to the spirit world and becomes Spirits-because they lived with the totally materialistic view of life and strongly denied life after death or emotionally attached something in this world to the point of not being able to go.

Scared?? Yes I was...

Many souls who have an interest in persons life come down to watch his Life Movie.The movie shows what kind of person the deceased really,was,revelling his thoughts and all his actions.By the time screening is over only for 7minites,the person more or less realizes the results and if there are lessons he needs to re-learn,he will go to the most suitable place for learning in the spirit world.

The mental state at the point of death is very important.If a person is actually doing his spiritual practice such as chanting at the time of death then the influence of desires ,attachments and other souls are minimal possible for that person compared to his state not chanting. The name of God and it also in a state of surrender to God’s will then he attains an better life after death.

This makes his subtle body lighter at the time of death. Also the entire responsibility of his well –being in his life after death is undertaken by his evolved spiritual guide –Guru.

The fastest way to attain Moksha is said to be devotion. Sincere devotion no amount of temple visits the best way to attain salvation is through discipline-devotion ,self surrender and the grace of Guru or God.

Drapes and Your New Look!!

Are you bored with a Ghaghara choli yes I am, such a boring dress I feel money is spent, the fashion is out dated again you have to make some storing place for your expensive designer wear.

What next....Wait! in a few yards of a drapes you can choose to make a festival out fit. If you want to ghaghara choli for the Deepavali- pick up a sari from your wardrobe and try to give a new look-after one wrap around your body form a pleat but the pleats are tucked end of your hip and the pallu worn like duppatta.

You can choose a spaghetti top or heavy designer blouse..the choice is yours.

Sarong style - After one wrap pleat half sari on the left side. Take the remaining to the right hand side from the back pleat again to the right, and tuck the remaining part of the pallu in front..let me say once again-after one wrap around the body pleat the sari in the right hand side,the divide the remaining material into two, fold and tuck the on the left hand side and take pallu a neck around.

I love this...for my Bride.

It gives special effects it consists 2 chifons or crape with same or contrast colors. Both worn regular saris coming from back to front on the left side there will be two sets of pleats one on the right and one on the left side. Brides! Try to change e your sari styling you look totally differentJ

Drapes in a different style put knot for pallu looks elegant and stylish girls you look the best!

Go for conventional way of draping sari just hold it twisted around your hand,make a loop so you can insert your finger very comfy and stylish. leave the pallu left long on the left shoulder and wear it like duppatta without petals or twisted around the neck.

Here the sari is draped to create a skirt with pleats in front after one wrap around the body while the rest is down from the right hip to the left shoulder to hang down from the back.

This has regained it’s charm from sharmila Tagore to Aishwarya Rai .After one wrap around the body with one large pleat in the front showing off the rich border carefully tuck the sari anti clockwise on the front side.(over the bust)..then the pallu takes at the back from the left shoulder.carefully pleated behind and brought over the right shoulder in the front.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

keep a few things in mind while draping a saree to look slim. A few simple rules and you can look taller and slimmer in sarees.

Light weight fabrics like Chiffon, Georgette, Crepe etc. stick to the body closely, so they make you look slimmer.

Cottons, Kanjivarams, heavy Silk, Brocade, Tissue etc a sari can beery well draped over a churidar or a pant in fact gives a slimmer look.

as they add volumes to the over all look.

To look slim, opt for small prints or motifs.

Bigger or broader borders make us look short. For those who don’t want that, should go for slimmer borders or no border at all.

Opt for darker shades. Dark colours make you look slimmer and makes your skin colour appear lighter. They hide the flaws but accentuate your curves just as much as necessary.

Find a petticoat that matches the colour of your saree exactly. If it’s lighter, your saree will also look a shade lighter. The same applies to a darker petticoat.

Tip: Semi fitted petticoats make you look slimmer.

Lay out your saree and figure out which side is inside and which is the outer. The Pallu ofcourse will be the outer side and the other end, the inner.

Hold the inner end of the saree in your left hand around your waist.

Make sure the hem is touching the floor and tuck the inner end border into your petticoat.

Pass the saree onto the front. Maintain the same height so that the hem is even.

Keep the top edge level and tuck in a little to keep the saree in place (safety pin at this point)

Start folding the pleats from right to left while holding the edge of the saree.

Hold all the pleats together and tuck them into the petticoat (make sure the length of the saree remains the same and the hem is even) (safety pin the pleats to your petticoat)

Bring the saree around your body.

Hold it in your right hand and pass over the left making sure the border is even.

Drape on your left shoulder. Here, you can either let the border sit on your shoulder and let the rest fall casually. Or, following the pleat lines, create pleats on your shoulder and let the pallu fall in a thin strip.

Tips for blouse(tops)

If you are slim then heavy work will be best for you, if you are overweight and fatter side light work is suitable for you.
A designer blouse can give a woman more beautiful, sexy and gorgeous look.

If you want to look gorgeous and beautiful then you should also consider the designs of latest trendy blouses.
There are so many types of beautiful designs of blouses like sleeve less blouses and blouses with short sleeve, long sleeves, short neck, deep neck, deep back, and backless blouses.
Apart from sleeves you may also consider blouse length, various sexy neck and back designs depending on how much you want to expose your back and front.
Embroidery, sequins, stones work also make a blouse very attractive and give women a rich look.
So be careful while selecting a blouse for you it should suit your personality.
Now it is not compulsory to buy a matching color blouse, you can also buy a blouse in contrast color.

I want to experience games, music, nature, reading, story telling and other interests with a curious young mind and support and encouragement to our grandchild "Dron".

The best grand parenting activities flow naturally from the interests of both the grandparents and the grandchildren. You can create a deep, loving relationship with your grandchildren by sharing the things you love with them, and by being available to learn about the ideas and activities according to their interest.

Make an effort to enjoy leisure time with your grandchildren. As a grandparent, you get to interact with your grandchildren without the same daily pressures of a parent—you don't have to worry about juggling making dinner for the and grocery shopping. Allow yourself to slow down and become really absorbed in an activity. Moving at a slower pace than usual can give children a sense that time can be 'stretched'—that you don't need to hurry through activities. And, as with adults, it gives them the psychic space to feel, reflect, and express emotions without feeling rushed.

Children love the outdoors, and trips to the park or the beach can be a great jumping-off point for some wonderful adventures and happy memories. Nature walks and day hikes can provide lots of interesting things to talk about, and water activities can be especially fun. Throwing stones into the water or watching the current play with sticks are simple activities that can be fascinating to children. You can start these activities when kids are toddlers, and expand the games as they get older.

Engaging in hobbies and activities that you love or your grandchild loves can be a great way to spend time together and learn about each other. Sometimes, activities that you might not expect your grandchildren to be interested in, if you take an interest in something they are passionate about, like trading educational cards or the Harry Potter books, they get to share their special area of knowledge and may open up in new ways.

If you are still working, a visit to your place of work can add a dimension to your grandchild's perception of you. If you are retired, pictures and stories about what your working days were you can always do .....

My Dry Skin

One morning while I was chatting with my daughter she has raised her brows and asked me.. what happened to u mom -your skin look so dull and dry has lost it’s glow..pl take care of yourself, but "me" as usual with over confident ... I snapped her back- I am a grandmother now!! I don't care for my looks ....but deep inside me I knew, my skin is showing it's age.

This is the major problem with my age group friends now. Yes it's time to pamper our skin now.

First of all have to stop hot water bath which robs skin of moisture causing dry skin, so it's best to shower in lukewarm water.

I can't bear this rule I really can't – but I will try to keep my showers short and try showering only once per day.

This also means skipping hot tubs (another rule I simply cannot bear). The hot, hot temperature, combined with drying chemicals, is torture on dry skin.

The same rule applies to hand-washing: Wash hands in lukewarm, never hot, water (this is a rule I firmly abide by). If your skin turns red, the water is simply too hot.

Dry skin conditions are a common problem for many people, especially those who live in colder regions and experience the winter season. Keeping your skin healthy is important for your well-being. This should be the most important reason to get your skin hydrated.

I learned the secret of year-round skin care years ago. In just a few weeks, you can transform your dry skin into a healthy glow.

Dry, cracked skin is a direct result of a lack of water causing dry skin and premature aging. In order to tackle dry skin you must first know the factors that cause the problem.

There are many factors that cause dry skin. Most traditional soaps and moisturizers in main stream stores contain harsh chemicals that irritate and dry the skin. It is very important to buy organic soaps and moisturizers that contain nutrients to hydrate and condition.

Environmental pollution is another cause of dry skin. This can be a tough one to avoid depending on where you live. However, you can help combat the effects of pollution by eating smart foods, drinking plenty of water to hydrate and remove toxins, and using organic lotion and oils to protect your skin.

with it's highly revered Shiva temple. Omkareshwar has been the prime destination on the pilgrims trail is one of the highly 12 jyotirlingas and recently started luring travellores significance and exotic offerings.
Omkareshwar means "Lord of Omkaara or
Lord of the Om Sound and another temple is amrreshwar means Immortal lord" or lord of the Immortals or Devas But as jyotirling, which is on other side of narmada river.

It is often referred as Mini Varanasi of Central India, the holy island of Omkareshwar is serene (except during festival time) and offers a well worn trail to the holy confluence of Narmada and Kaveri River. The Ghats, River, temples, colourful lanes and Sadhus make Omkareshwar an exotic destination and will make you extend your stay at Indore.

After visiting the temples on the shore of Narmada and strolling along in the island, I decided to sit for few minutes closing my eyes and take some deep breadth off to rejuvenate. Exhausted and famished, I descended to the bank of Narmada with a last hope of finding rest within. Those deep breadth did a magic and infused strength to my drained out soul. Bathing in Narmada at Omkareshwar was the best thing happened to me in Western Madhya Pradesh.

On my way back to I have busy looking for Maheshwari,chanderi and batik prints tie and dye saris all these traditional Saris made me so excite until I heard my husband’s voice.. Looking around he was caring my bags and whispered me will come again...

But I always had it in mind the rich art of our Indian Tanjore painting .. is not my cup of tea ...so I was there to enjoy unique paintings are made over the basic drawings with precious stones which gives three dimension effect..The picture are of various sizes,ranging and small miniatures no longer than 6-inch square.

The paintings really took me in AAWW...as I was strolling around, lucky me nobody was there to stop me :) and I was enjoying the paintings are having a rich heritage and it is followed by many experienced artists for past two centuries.Laxmi,Saraswati and Ganesh are widely used and sure to add divinity to your pooja room.

To my surprise the price range starts from Rs 1800 and goes till Rs 5000 depending on the size and work of the painting Indian classical art cannot come alive any better than this.

Nowadays everybody has become more conscious about the ambiance and interiors of their house.

Bangkok was formerly known as the Venice of the East.A floating market is a market where vendors sell things right off their boats, from the side of the canal.

it’s a fun to watch where many boats dock together and serve an array of amazing Thai food!

Floating market seems really like an unique experience to get a sense into thai life. I was truly impressed by the parking lot of boats on the canal and the way they served food rapidly to all the demanding orders. Many people got around by boat, or even went to the market to sell their goods directly from their boat.Floating in the canal are numerous wooden boats all weighted down with food and produce and other cooking accessories necessary for a self sufficient boat bobbling eatery Each boat owners proudly specializes in their own specialised

My Memories of Egypt

One lazy afternoon while watching tv show about Egypt it reminded me of the museum I visited and made me write some of those remembrances of my visit to Egypt-

When my daughter came up with one more holiday destination of the Eid holiday to Egypt I simply loved it, because Egypt and mummification was an very interesting topic for me right from my school

days.

Egypt is one of the most populous country in Africa

and Middle East ,and the most populated place in the

world;Egypt has one of the longest histories of any modern state.Its monuments, such as the Glaza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx,were constructed by its ancient civilization, which was one of the most advanced of its time.

Exhibits had real mummies and also had close to 4000 artifacts in display. The artifacts tells us that ancient Egyptians worshiped hundreds of Gods and Goddesses, about kings and pharaohs, their lifestyle, mummification, burial practices which tells about their belief in after life..

I loved my stay especially in Cairo . Cairo it smell beautiful.There is a certain desert and palm tree beauty to the smell of Egypt.Pretty much as simple as that,and the Egyptians themselves are very scent oriented ,it is very big business in Egypt
Shopping in Cairo can be great fun, the tiny shops with goodies including tourist souvenirs of alabaster pyramids and toy camels to traditional crafts of hand-blown glass, jewellery spices handmade leather shoes and traditional perfumes.

King of souks is Khan el-Khalili in Islamic Cairo, a world-famous attraction.

Egyptian museum is an excellent introduction about the ancient land.

The museum describes the mummification process in detail and also the daily life of ancient Egyptians

The highlight of all the exhibits was to go into a small dark doorway which led us down to where there was a display of recreation of a mummy, Myself, having studied history in college, thoroughly enjoyed the Egyptian museum.

Malls are not a huge part of Cairo’s shopping scene, but The First Mall,have over 60 designer boutiques, including brands such as Prada, Dior and Yves St Laurent.

Egyptian cuisine

Egyptian cuisine combines many of the best traditions of African, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking, and is both delicious and healthy.

Fruit, such as dates and olives, picked from the trees combine with vegetables, meats and fresh fish, aromatic herbs and spices to create colourful and flavoursome dishes.

Typically, a meal will start with soup made from pulses or beans, onions, tomatoes and leafy green vegetables with a large helping of garlic or spices to give them a kick. Soup is served with flatbreads like pitta (flatbread made with fenugreek seeds and maize flour)

ful Medames and koshari. It is made from spaghetti or macaroni, or sometimes rice, which is cooked together with pulses, garlic and tomatoes and topped with fried onions and herbs.

Falafel, the spicy mashed bean or chickpea and herb patty delicacy that is found throughout the Middle East can be found everywhere and makes makes a tasty snack. Throughout Egypt there are both large hotel restaurants and smaller specialist ones in the main towns.

Cairo Museum

If you prefer international cuisine, head to the larger hotels in Cairo and its environs, which boast kitchens serving top-quality dishes. In the centre of Cairo there are cheap ‘fast food’ cafes selling traditional food in simple surroundings.

Desert is usually pastries filled with figs, dates and nuts, and drenched in honey, or a mahallabiyaa (rice pudding) made with rosewater and sprinkled with spice. Yoghurt and fruit, especially oranges, dates and figs, are often eaten as a dessert too.

I've written so much about everything on my blog,Today, I realized I haven't written much about the person who I am more attached, I trust, my best friend and my companion for my life time and the very special man who helped me to grow into a beautiful women who accepted my childlike behaviour, my tantrums with open arms he who is that is my husband, known each other for 33 years! Plus 6 months of eventful courtship that eventually led to a happy marriage by God’s grace.

REASONS WHY I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!
He loves being a grandfather and he really makes an effort to take care of our grandson Dron.

He is loyal, honest and trustworthy and he knows the
repercussion of his actions. I've never doubted his
faithfulness to me.

He tries his best to help me out in everything I want to
do and pursue,it was him who really gave me the
courage to push through.
He is my personal cheer leader, he has faith in me and in what I can achieve.

He understands my moods and know the right things to say when I am down.
He is not an alcoholic and he doesn't smoke.
He is rarely complains, he is not moody.
He knows exactly what I'am thinking even if I don't say a word.
He understand my moods
He waits for me when I am in the beauty saloon.

He is really easy going.

He packs my laptop for me and then he would charge all
my gadgets and phones, and set my watches,ironing my
clothes without me knowing.
He still hold hands while crossing the road.
He understands my moods and know the right things to say
when I am down.
Whenever he is around I never have to peel my shrimps and
onions he does this every time for me.
I have a worst temper he is so much calmer this combination
so amazing...
He rarely complains he is not moody.
Whenever I ask him if my outfit looks great he would always
say " YES' even if I know I look terrible.
He is very handy around the house ,he fix and clean up my
kitchen gadget.
He is true gentleman opening doors and carrying my things
for me.
He is so compassionate and caring.
He laugh makes everything light,it is a ray of sunshine.
Every night he brings me a cup of milk before we sleep or whenever I'am working on my laptop.

The reddish brown colour of Mehendi which stands for the prosperity ,and a bride expected to bring to her new house So mehendi most considered most auspicious for all wedding –related ceremonies. There are many customs and traditions associated with an Indian wedding and Mehendi ceremony is considered among the most auspicious ornaments in married women.
When I got married this is about 35 years back Mehendi function was not in much of status symbol ,mehendi was applied as a part of wedding. And it was considered most auspicious I remember I went to the beau ion they are known as Mehendi Designer who spent 5-- 6 hours to work very simple design on my hands

and I remember she has charged me rs 100.

However over the years, it has gained popularity even is south.The mehendi function is organized by the bride’s family and is a primarily women’s function,where the bride’s friends and family get together to bless her .As a part of of the tradition the women and the family blessing at the ceremony and everyone gets mehendi design applied on their hands and feet as it is considered a beauty accessory and part of the wedding.
Mehendi function is very old custom which was followed very traditionally in north India.Even the groom’s hand is decorated with mehendi patterns.There is strictly sacred or spiritual about it,but applying mehendi is considered as blessed and beautiful that is perhaps why Indian women are so fond of it.

A deeply colored mehendi design is generally considered a good sign for the new couple to start a new life.It is a common belief among Hindu women that during the nuptial rituals the darker imprint left on the bride’s palms, the more her to be mother-in-law will love her.

My New Cell

I have been proud of the fact that unlike many of my friends, I had never lost my cell phone until I got a call one evening.

I had gone to meet my client 15km from my town. On my way back, I got a call from a my vender asking me whether I had lost my mobile. I checked my handbag frantically, yes it was missing, that too my business cell.(usually I carry 2 cells )

I used my another personal cell to dial my own number, and a boy who answered said I found your phone he said excitedly. He spoke with a strange accent - I have been trying to find you here, it was getting late so I decided to go home he gave me the address of a coffee shop.

Next day I went to meet him I didn’t dare go alone so took my husband luckily he was in town at that time. I needn’t have bothered much ,after driving 15km we got a petty coffee shop where we met a laborer called Shiva and his friends, migrate labors would hang out after work. Shiva did not own a cell phone himself, so i had to call my own number to locate him.

My fears were unfolded, Shiva was just a young boy who addressed me as “akka” respectfully .How did you inform my vender I asked Shiva he explained that when he found my mobile on the road side where I have got down from my car I went to see outdoor location with one of my client)And he had called me in my personal number to inform me.

I was totally delighted to get my phone back with all contacts messages and pictures of my stage decorations and my bridals snaps, I could have lost it forever .I am so happy to get back my cell, which had a very sentimental value too it was a gift from my daughter:))

Meaning Of Vishu

Lord Vishnu, the preserver of creation,is focused upon during Vishu.In Indian astrology,Vishnu is seen as the head of Kala Purusha the God of Time.

A rice mixture of turmeric is called as Akshata,which is devided into halves of husk and un-husked rice,is placed in a special bowl called 'Uruli'

The uruli traditional is made of pancha-loham. Panchaloham being symbolic of the universe,which is comprised of the five elements- Earth,water,fire , air and space.A nice well starched cloth is pleated like like a fan inserted into a sprouted puja vessel used for pouring sacred water. As special kind of mirror with an extremely long and thin handle decorated with gold is also inserted.and urli is placed on top of rice.

Gold-both in color and coin is placed the central of the Vishukanni .Kanikonna golden colored flowers, jewelry gold, fruits and vegetables,such as banana, jack fruit etc.A spiritual Bhagavad-Geetha (symbol of knowledge) is made part of the arrangement.

Two Diyas which are from the two halves of a split coconut,are also kept in the uruli. The wicks are made from pieces of starched cloth. The lighting of the diyas welcomes God into our lives and it also symbolic knowledge and the remover of the darkness of ignorance.

Tradition of the Vishu

The women of the house who arranges the Vishukkani .On the auspicious hours she will light the oil lamp and take in the auspicious sight. She will then awakes others (family members) and leads them to the pooja room, covering their eyes

Upon opening one's eyes ,one is overwhelmed with the darshan of the Lord the mirror which symbolic Devi -ma Vishukkani is not reserved only for those who come to the puja room,but is taken around for viewing of the elderly people.Vishukkani points to a year of abundance both spiritually and materially.Food,light,money and knowledge all should fill our life.

Vishu also means feasting that day!The items prepared for Vishu are of all tastes spicy,bitter,sweet and sour. Dishes are usually prepared from mangoes, pumpkin gourds and jack fruits.

Street Entertainment

There is abundant street entertainment during Vishu.Young people put up tradional dance performance after dressing up in a skirt made up dried banana leaves and wearing masks.

Legend of the Kanikonna Flower

The Kanikonna flower is an integral part of Vishu hasan interesting legend behind its origin.Once upon atime in a village a boy named Unni used to love the stories of Bala Krishna, he start visiting Krishna temple near his house.Lord Krishna moved by his devotion and offered him his golden waist chain it to Unni.

Because trust me I do it is just that I never quiet understand how one object could be such a defining function of a marriage from the way some girls going about it, you would think the ring is ever more important than the –hubby- to-beJ.

Though most of the people believe that this trend of- ‘Engagement ceremony’ came from the west but if you look deep into the Indian traditions the engagement ceremonies exist in one form or the other in different communities of India from a long time.,One of the most important pre-wedding rituals amongst them is the Engagement Ritual.

An engagement ring is a ring indicating that the person wearing it is engaged to be married. Engagement rings are traditionally worn only by women.

It is known as ring ceremony, Aashirwad and Mangni in different Indian communities.One of the most the engagement ceremony is the ceremony that restores - the fact from the family ancestors, which means they bestow good luck and blessings on the bride and bridegroom.

In some families the sagai ceremony is clubbed with the engagement itself. This is another pre- wedding ceremony, which strengthens the bond between the both families. In sagai, the bride is given jewelry, clothes, make-up kit and baby toys by the mother of the groom.A havan is also performed at times.

On the other hand, the groom is put tilak and given gifts by the family of the bride. A havan is also performed at times. Here also a lot of gifts such as fruits, sweets, clothes are exchanged between the two.However,the essence of all these ceremonies is the same.Besides quiet often ,the date of te marriage is also decided and confirmed at these ceremonies.These ceremonies thus,conclude with the blessings of the elderly and the Almighty.

Different Kinds of Engagement Ceremony

Christian Engagement

Gujarati Engagement

The Gujarati engagement is called as “sagai” or in some parts as the ‘gol dhana’ which literally means jaggery and coriander seeds referring to the practice of distributing a small amount of jaggery mixed with coriander seeds during the ceremony. The bride’s family presents the grooms family with a steel container filled with sweets and gifts and is called as the ‘matli’.

The Muslim engagement ritual is usually with a ring exchange between the future bride and groom. The grooms’ family then presents the girl with a dress and jewellery.

- Then massage your body with sesame seed (til) oil
- Now apply the uptan, leave it on for half an hour, and wash off while bathing.

Do this thrice a week. It helps to clear the skin of dead cells, leaving it smooth and bright.

Pedicure

For a quick pedicure, add some foot salts in half a bucket of hot water and soak your feet for ten minutes. Use a heel scrubber or pumice stone to remove the dead skin on the heels.

Remove your nail polish and re-paint your toes. Moisturize feet with foot cream. Tie a piece of clean cloth, like a bandage, wear cotton socks and go to sleep. This will help soften the skin. Do this thrice a week.

Manicure

For dry and dark hands, take two tablespoons of sunflower oil, two tablespoons of lemon juice and three tablespoon of coarse sugar. Mix together till it becomes a paste.

Apply and rub into hands. Wash off after 15 minutes. Do this thrice a week for best results.

Hair mask

Give yourself a hair treatment twice a week using simple kitchen remedies. Try the curd-egg-beer mask to give for a volume hair mask.
- Take two tablespoons each of curd, honey and olive oil, three drops of almond oil and half a banana and make sure you mash it well to avoid lumps.

- Add half a cup of flat beer and a raw egg to the mixture
- Mix the ingredients together and apply evenly all over your hair
- Cover your hair with a shower mask to prevent it from dripping
- Let it soak for 30 minutes and shampoo off with cold water .

I think it's because of the face wash my cheeks and around the mouth I really had dry skin.

I have peeled at it a bit there is a red mark that looks like a new scar. I really have no idea if that's what it is because i don't remember scars burning if rubbing alcohol gets on it.

Anyways, mainly it's got a bunch of dry peeling skin around my mouth and it's almost impossible to peel. The only thing moisturizer does is cover up the fact that it is peeling, but not for a long time at all.

I want to share four of my favorite ayurvedic beauty secrets that I employ on a regular basis. They are simple, effective and inexpensive.

A sandalwood face mask will give your face an instant lift, the natural way. Sandalwood detoxifies the skin by removing impurities directly as it dries on the skin. It also removes toxins by increasing circulation in the skin, leaving it glowing and feeling tighter. Sandalwood also has an alluring fragrance.

To make your own sandalwood face mask
use about 5 teaspoons of sandalwood powder and slowly mix in water until you have a thick paste. If you have a tendency toward acne or rashes, add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder. If you tend to have dry skin, you can add some castor or almond oil to the paste. You can apply the mask for 1 hour on a weekly basis for regular skin care, or leave it on overnight every few months for a deep skin cleaning.

This daily oil massage provides several benefits by reducing stress and removing the accumulation of toxins (digestive and environmental) from your skin. The accumulation of toxins causes premature aging. Doing this simple massage on a daily basis or a few times a week will markedly improve the texture and elasticity of your skin.

For the majority of people the best oil to use is organic, sesame oil. But if you tend to produce a lot of body heat, get rashes easily or are susceptible to inflammatory conditions, then organic coconut oil is a better choice.

The massage can take anywhere between 5 minutes and 30 minutes depending on the time you have available.

Place a quarter-cup of oil in a small plastic bottle. Heat up the oil by running it under hot water in the sink.
