style="text-align: center;">Here are some more pics of the quilt I'm making from my husband's&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">Pepere's clothing for my mother-in-law.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have already sent this quilt out to be finished so I should have the finished pics in a few weeks!</div><div style="text-align: center;">I used a dark navy blue border with a dark grey backing.</div><div style="text-align: center;">The top stitching will be navy blue, which will really compliment the colors in the quilt top.</div><div style="text-align: center;">When I get the finished pics up I will compare them beside the actual garments&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">so you can see what went into each square.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">Last month my husband's Pepere passed away.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">He was such an amazing man and we all miss him terribly.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">Today I have started on a memory quilt, for my mother-in-law,&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">from her father's clothing and accessories.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I thought it would be neat to show all of the different pieces of clothing&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">that I will be working with before I cut them up!</div><div style="text-align: center;">As you can tell from the items, George was a VERY proud grandpa</div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;as my husband is the one who attended West Point and is an Army Ranger.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">All of his clothing holds so much sentimental value for the entire family</div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;and I'm so happy to make this quilt for Denise (and one for Kim also).&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">For this quilt I'll be using his suits and dress pants, sweatshirts, ties, jackets, hats, t shirts, sweaters, etc. There are so many more pieces of clothing that I am using that I just haven't photographed yet!</div><div style="text-align: center;">Stay tuned for the progress!</div><div style="text-align: center;">I made this quilt for a client here in NH who wanted to give this as a gift to her mother, in memory of her father who passed away last year.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I was given his favorite pair of jeans, bandana, t shirts, Army uniform, PT T shirt, etc.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">My client chose the lilac as it is her mother's favorite color and she also chose the heart pantograph design.</div><div style="text-align: center;">In addition, she chose the "blocked" design with the color blocks so it could really highlight each individual article of clothing.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I also removed the patches from the uniform and added them in the squares, as well as her father's favorite hat (the Oatey patch), style="text-align: center;">Today we had a really nice time sewing Xmas stockings&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">for the NH troops that will be deployed for the holidays!&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">There was a great turn out and we made 70 stockings total!</div><div style="text-align: center;">The stockings will go to the Pease Greeters&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Her father was an Army Vet and has just recently passed away.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">She wanted to incorporate some of his favorite old t shirts,&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">a bandana he used to always wear, his uniforms,&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">a PT shirt from his Army days and a pair of his jeans.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">We decided on the purple border because her mother loves the color purple&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">and we wanted to make the quilt a bit more feminine</div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;since it would be for her.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">They chose a heart pantograph design&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">Here are some pics of the latest custom quilt top that I have just finished.</div><div style="text-align: center;">This quilt is for a couple in Oregon and they wanted the big OM symbol in the center.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I used fusible interfacing to stabilize the back of the area where I appliqued&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">the OM symbol and also used interfacing to stabilize the symbol itself.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I used recycled men's shirting fabric samples for the colored patches and I think it came out awesome!</div><div style="text-align: center;">They picked out a squiggly design for the pantograph and I will have it&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">finished with a navy thread to match the border.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I should have the finished quilt done at the beginning of December&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">and I'll post more pics then!</div><br style="text-align: center;"><br /> </div><div style="text-align: center;">Ok, so the design I'm working on is the "peek-a-boo" square which is actually two pieces sewn together in a square and then I cut out the square. I leave the edges raw because when I have the quilt top quilted, it will be so tightly quilted that the pieces won't have any opportunity to pull apart. style="text-align: center;">I used all kinds of t shirts and sports jerseys.</div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;I also used a couple bags, one cotton and one nylon.</div><div style="text-align: center;">What I really like about this quilt is how I cut the shirts and logo all different sizes<br /> instead of the same sized block look.<br /> I like the varied sizes much
