So, somehow I managed to pull off another win this past weekend. And I somehow slid my way into fighting for 1st place in my fantasy league.

How?

I'm awesome.

Why?

Well, my lineup looks chitty on paper but I guess I have to account for my opponents chitty team for the week. Thanks, by the way:)

Last 2 weeks.

I'd say I need a miracle because I've been asking for that the past few weeks.

Then again, I may not even need it.

I made it to the playoffs....

Here's how it went down. Shooting my way to the playoffs by losing nearly every game since the start of the season and then I pulled the same shiz I did last year.

That is, pretty much winning every game leading up to the playoffs after all those ugly losses.

But here's why I'm even more awesome....

Thought it was Top 4 (can't keep track since I'm in like 5 leagues a year, except this year), made Top 4 only to find out it is Top 6.

How I pulled this awesomeness off is only done by pure greatness and you know...

Missed my 4 game winning streak by ONLY 40 points!!

Ok, so Suisham didn't pull off 50 points for me to win this week. But he did give me 10. It was worth a prayer or 2 to the Football Gods for Suisham to do some extra leg action last night. It didn't work as you can see.

Did I ever mention that Byes blow? Oh, and Bush's failure to gain any yards this week.

I really don't think week 10 could be a more painful start for me than getting my business waxed.

Right off the bat, I need to whack a few boys in their business. Ok, so I had to find a QB for starters. My beloved, RGIII is on a bye. I know, Byes blow. I don't have a good backup. I really didn't have any. I initially had Cassel from the get-go and had him dropped a few weeks ago. Really wasn't holding him, just waiting to get rid of him when I needed to pick up a good waiver wire pickup. Anyway, I ended up with Tannehill. Or should I have picked Cutler? Cutler makes me want to tattoo my eyeballs with a branding iron when I watch him toss the ball around so I just couldn't bare to pick him.

I know, I know. I know what you are thinking. Yes, I am a Bears Fan. Yes, I should stick by my own QB and team. Root for your team, then your players. But everyone must know what I mean though, right? It's just brutal sometimes. Not reliable for points, no INT, no Fum. If I am watching the game, trust. I will root Cutler.

Anyway, It's about time for SNF. Just wanted you all to know that I got a whole 2.6 points from Tannehill and .9 points from Reggie Bush. Luh-hu-huve it!

Week 3. Wish my a** luck.

I won. And when I say won, I mean I won big in the worst way in Week 2 of the Fantasy World. Basically, if you follow closely, I have RGIII and Reggie Bush on my roster.

Enough said, right?

Now come Week 3, I've got junk. You see, this is when these players start breakin legs and arms and schtuff. And they are always on my roster. ALWAYS.

I've got Forte. I've got Jennings. I've got a weak RB situation on my roster. I've got so-so's as my backup WR's. This leagues flex is only WR/RB. Ugh. What was I thinking at draft time?

RGIII better keep his shiz up and Bush better pull a Week 2 Bush this week.

Chances are I'm going to lose. Yeah, I know it. And don't think the guys on my league don't know it. It's pretty obvious. But, I sometimes have the luck where my nobodys start scoring and pulling yards out there yahoo. Yeah, it doesn't happen very often and who am I kidding, I have no luck at all. I'm just hopeful. VERY hopeful.

That's OK, right?

Well, that's all I have.

Eh, I don't care what you're going to say about this post. What's that? Ok, so what if its been over a year and a half since I've written anything on my blog. If you're a true follower you know why. And if you're a true, true follower, you know that you can always catch my tweets @mamalikesports and of course Facebook.

Anyway, enough promotion.

When I tell people I blog about football. They immediately:
1)...want to know what it's called. I tell them. Mamalikesports {dot} com.

2)...want to know if I am a Mama. No. I'm not. Really, I'm not. Far from it.

Well, that is until July 2010.

Yes. I became a real life Mama.

Got my own RB in the making right here in my own home. Yeah, he's probably not going to be tall enough to reign in on the QB status, but ya never know, right? Oh, and again this past June...2012. I really nailed it into Mama-hood. This one will most likely be Veronica Tafoya or Erin Andrews for ya geeks who only know what she does because of the negative publicity she got from the "peep-hole" shenanigans and "DWTS".

Ok, this blog isn't going to take a negative turn down to Mama town where arts & crafts and baby binky's are my thing to blog about now. No thanks.

Just trying to explain my disappearance and now my reappearance into football mania...which is in overdrive. Big. Huge. Grande tiempo. Not sure if that's a real saying in Spanish, but it translates to "Big Time".

So, basically, I'm back. And it's goooooood to be back, I tell ya. I missed you. Yeah, you. I got busy. I apologize. Thanks for understanding. The end.

Nah, seriously. I started to get emails and calls and stuff from people about my blog. That's when it hit me. People liked to read my schtuff. Even though I probably have a lot of grammatical errors and my Engrish is really bad at times, (sorry, I don't have an editor yet) people actually told me they liked my writing. Can we get the just-because-I'm-an-awesome-QB-and-heading-to-the-Super Bowl-and-got-off-on-being-marked-a-sexual-predator to lay off my boy Cutler? Ok, he's my boy by default. I am a die hard Bears fan. I'm supposed to love my QB even though I do question his abilities myself. I back him up. But can we not have Big Ben rub it in our faces, please? It's done we lost. Let us rant and rave about our QB if we want. I blame then all. Collins and Hanie...even if Hanie did a better job than the other 2 combined. Easy for you to say, huh Mr. Ben. I still need some time after the Bears loss to the Cheesenuts, aka, the Packers.

I am a diehard Bears fan. I am a Bear. We have lost. I am in mourning. I need time to recover from this terrible loss. Help me.

I should have been fully recovered at Pro Bowl time, but I am missing out, yet again, this year even though its back in Hawaii. I do love the Steelers and will pull for them to win, but watching the Packers against them instead of my beloved Bears is just heartbreaking. Utterly, heartbreaking. Help me.

I can't even begin to tell you where we went wrong. Ok, let's not hash it out again. It's done. It's over. Someone help me.

Like I said...give me some time. I will survive. Til then...

Hello, Ben Roethlisberger!

Now that Ben's all patched up and ready to go after his 'it's not broken, okay it is broken nose saga', don't forget we still have his right foot that is being protected in an unflattering, no way of disguising, protective boot.

Then his oh so, not a pretty picture description of his x-rays has got me skipping breakfast for the next 10 years or so...

Ben's nose bones in the x-rays "looked like corn flakes", he says.

Barf, puke, retch. I'm re-enacting the technicolor yawn all over my seat at 30,000 feet. I'm on my way to Atlanta taking advantage of the free wi-fi on this flight. Yes, I know, I rock. I just HAVE to tell everyone!

Anyways, back to Ben...

I really did like corn flakes. Really. Guess I'm going to have to switch to Grape Nuts for awhile til my stomach settles after thinking about Ben's nose.

Great game, by the way. Steelers pulled it off, somehow. Jeez, I guess Ben pulled it off too. Especially after some dumb plays. Really...keeping Boldin open? What is that about?

Keeping up the running game? I love Mendenhall, but he ain't no Bus. And the bf likes to pick on Mewelde. I was a fan back at Minnesota a few years back. He doesn't produce, the bf is right. But he did get a very important 1st down.

Well, I'm out. I gotta finish the rest of the inflight movie. Even though I actually brought the DVD with me to watch. Go figure. Salt.

ESPN has taken aim towards women and sports and found a home over at espnW.com. There are some women contributors and a handful of the women who make up the espnW team etc...

They blog. They Twitter. They talk sports. They know their stuff...

Except there is one enormous thing missing from this site.

The talk about town is to bench or not to bench Peyton Manning.

What?! Bench Peyton Manning?!!!!

I know. It's tough.

Fantasy players need production. It doesn't matter how much you love a particular player. You need to pick and start a player that will get you points.

Trust. I had this problem with Tom Brady this season. My backup is Kyle Orton. But now Orton is not considered a backup to me anymore. After the first few weeks of the season, I realized Brady was not producing. And guess who was? That's right. Orton. Former Bear. Former non-producing QB.

But do you? Do you bench TOM BRADY? The answer is, YES! I did. I had trouble with that concept. And I'm sure you did too if you had a better backup. Honestly, the only time Brady produced more than Orton this season was when New England played Detroit last week. Mm-hmm. Brady scored only 4 points more than Orton that week. That was a big game though.

Tough decision now? Is that a one time thing for Brady or will he keep this up?

Now. How will you decide if you have Peyton Manning?

I'd start him. But that does depend on who else you have.

What do you think? I'll be honest. I probably would've reacted the same way Derek did. But I get defensive like that. I mean, he's right. Who's business is it what I was talking about with my teammate? Maybe they were talking about last night's bedroom antics or maybe one told a joke to the other. I mean they do say laughter heals the soul or some garbage like that. It's ok to laugh, really. Even if you are losing.

But then again...should you be laughing when your sitting at 3-8, last in your division?
