All over the world millions of people are committed to working out in order to tone up their bodies and keep themselves in shape. Building muscle to bulk up can take many months of hard work, lifting weights three or four times a week, and trying to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. It’s all too easy to be put off when you don’t see quick results and it’s not uncommon after a month or two for people to give up entirely – unfortunately, overnight improvements are never going to happen but it is possible to speed things up by taking the right sports supplements.

Of all the supplements that are available to buy, protein is by far the most popular as it’s the most effective at helping to building new muscle tissue. Every time you perform a strenuous exercise like lifting heavy weights, your muscle tissue stretches and tears slightly in lots of places – when the muscle recovers these tears rejoin, and this is when the muscle grows bigger and stronger. This regeneration process uses protein, and by building up a stockpile in your body you should be able to build larger muscles faster than ever before.

The most common way of taking a protein supplement is by drinking protein shakes, and these are usually sold as a tub of powder that you mix up with water to make a milkshake-like drink. They can be quite expensive to buy, but they are proven to have a significant effect on muscle growth. It’s usual to drink two shakes a day – one in the morning with your regular breakfast, and one immediately after you finish your workout routine – this should build up a stockpile of protein in your body, and give it a boost just when you need it most. Protein shakes have an acquired taste, and can leave you feeling a little bloated the first couple of times you drink them – your body soon gets used to digesting them, though, and the benefits of using these drinks definitely outweighs the drawbacks.

Many sports supplement manufacturers combine protein shakes with a variety of other supplements to make an all-in-one muscle building drink. These usually also include good quality pre workout supplements such as creatine, which will help give your muscles a boost of energy so that you can get the most out of any workout session. They can also include glutamine and a substance called HMB, which both help with the muscle repair and regeneration process, and sometimes also an additional source of slow-release energy such as oat flakes, which digest throughout the day keeping your energy levels topped up.

So while these supplements won’t provide a miracle solution, they will definitely help speed up the muscle building process. They’re available to buy at most sports stores, health food shops and of course online. Prolonged use of these products isn’t a good idea, as your body can build up a tolerance meaning they won’t be as effective and you’ll eventually just be wasting your money – using them on a month on/month off basis is probably the best way to help increase your muscle bulk over the long-term.

Sedation dentistry or also referred to as sleep dentistry, is a method of administering a form of sedation to a patient in order to complete the dental procedure safely and comfortably. Indeed, a lot of dental patients have phobia with dental treatments, so in order to overcome fear and anxiety, sleep sedation method is the best possible solution. This drug is given by dental professionals, so don't hesitate to ask for one if you have low tolerance with pain, or you need to overcome your dental phobia.

There are different levels of sedation that can be applied to a patient. It ranges from low to high level of sedative drugs. Usually the level of sedation can be adjusted according to the patient's need. For multiple dental processes, it is advisable to apply high level of sedation where in the patient will be in a state of sleep. When the person wakes up, he no longer remembers what happened during the procedure. For minor dental treatment, a low level can be applied leaving the patient to be awake, but will not feel any pain during the treatment.

For a lot of people, the sedation technique is an essential component of dental procedures. The primary benefit that any person can acquire from this method of sedation dentistry is to help them ease their fear and anxiety of dentists and dental treatments. Once the sedative drug is applied to a patient, the discomfort and pain will most likely disappear. This will then leave the patient to relax all throughout the treatment, and allows the dental professional to complete the procedure successfully.

Before even applying sedation dentistry, it is important that you are knowledgeable on the pros and cons of this method to help you understand

The Pros Of Dental Sedation

There are advantages of using sedation dentistry. The first benefit is to alleviate the anxiety that a lot of individuals experience when having a dentist appointment. It also makes the dental procedure possible and easier for people suffering from medical conditions that involve unmanageable body movements. Dental sedation is also applicable to children who can't sit still on the chair for a long time. If a patient have low tolerance with pain, sedation dentistry can be helpful because it will leave the patient to feel no pain during the treatment.

Cons of Applying Sedation

There may be a lot of benefits of using sedation dentistry; however, there are also some cons. The first disadvantage is that this technique may be an additional expense aside from the regular dental treatment cost. Normally, this is being done in a hospital and needs specialized professional dentist to do the treatment. Sedation dentistry is also associated with negative side effects and health risks, especially if applied if the patient is having medication intake. This may also affect individuals with serious medical conditions like heart problems, breathing issues, obesity and high blood pressure.

Do not be afraid with the possible side effects that sedation dentistry may bring, because these are not severe issues. The fact is that, one can prevent these health risks by just informing the dentist of one's medical history. Usually, dental professionals will be asking questions regarding the medical illnesses of every patient who will undergo dental treatment. It is also advisable to provide the doctor with the current state of your health and the medications you are currently taking.

These are some essential information that every dental patient should understand before utilizing sedative dentistry drugs. This technique may help one in overcoming his dental phobia, but at the same time there will also be cons to be aware of. Simply find a trusted oral dental professional to do the dental treatment, to ensure one’s safety.

There are many pros and cons to being a freelance writer, and getting a full and honest review of the job and everything it entails can make a person question (quite legitimately) whether or not the benefits are worth all the pains, uncertainty, and frustrations which can also come with the job. Many people have a pre-conception of freelance writing as a job, and these preconceptions can often be put into two categories: the starving artist in a dive apartment scraping to barely get by in the most pitiful of way, or as a completely care free existence where a writer can be logging on at the beach, in a luxury European hotel, or anywhere during a job that looks more like a “best of” 1980’s montage of world travel. Both are often very untrue. The truth is, freelance writing is an extremely difficult and challenging job and while there are major benefits, these need to be weighed against a large number of cons, as well.

The following list consists of five reasons freelance writing is worth it and why even beginning freelance writing can be considered as a good profession.

Reason #1: Personal freedom. While the job is not nearly as care free as many people imagine it to be, there is a great deal of person freedom that comes with becoming a freelance writer. You get to be your own boss as you are self-employed, and you have the freedom to only accept jobs that you want to take. You can work the hours you’re at your best and from home in your Simpsons boxer shorts if that’s what you’re feeling. You can arrange your work around your personal life instead of being forced to do vice-versa.

Reason #2: Create your own job security. One of the major benefits of becoming a freelance writer is the fact that you are able in a way to create your own job security. You can work for websites who are always hiring writers; build a reputation for being skilled, deadline oriented, and clutch as a writer; and build a passive income which even takes away the need to work for others. While it may take some amount of time, you can essentially create y our own job security over time.

Reason #3: Stretch value of your income. This one might not be for everyone, but one of the advantages of being able to work anywhere with a secure and dependable Internet connection is that you also get to choose where to reside. In the United States living in the Midwest is ridiculously cheap compared to either coast, meaning $30,000 can go an extremely long way in Cedar Rapids, Iowa or Fargo, North Dakota while double that might be required to barely scrape by in New York or Los Angeles. Or if you love travel, you can go to Belize or Costa Rica where $1,000 a month can mean living on the beach with a level of life style that you couldn’t get for $10,000 a month in the United States. By choosing where you live, your money can go a much longer way.

Reason #4: Passive income options. One of the huge benefits of freelance writing is that you actually have the opportunity to build a long time passive or residual income online. This alone makes freelance writing a worthy career at least as a supplemental or long term supplemental form of income. Imagine making an extra one, two, or five thousand a month that just kept coming in from work that was already done and finished. That’s a life changer in every way, shape, and form.

Reason #5: Because it’s what you love to do. If you can’t imagine a better way of making a living than writing, then nothing should stop you from doing so. No amount of ridicule, difficulties, or fears should prevent you from grabbing your dream.

Hopefully despite all the potential difficulties and frustrations, this article has clearly shown you that these five reasons prove that making a living as a freelance writer is worth all the effort.

Nassau offers cruisers plenty of options such as shopping, gambling and even historical sites such as Fort Fincastle and the Queen's Staircase but when it comes to the Bahamas its all about the white sand beaches and crystal clear blue water. Whether you are looking to go para-sailing for the first time or just relax under an umbrella with a frozen cocktail, Nassau has a beach for you. Below are a few of the most popular and most convenient beach options for cruise passengers.

Cabbage Beach
This is the most popular and therefor most crowded beach in Nassau mainly due to its location near the resorts on Paradise Island, including Atlantis. Cabbage Beach is also convenient for the masses of daily cruise visitors docked at Prince George Wharf and taxi drivers are quick to recommend this beach since it is the closest and they can load a van full of people paying per person. If crowds, jet skis, and hair braiders are your thing then this is the beach for you.

Cable Beach
Cable Beach is a great alternative to Cabbage Beach if you are looking for all the amenities such as water sports, lounge chairs, food and drinks without as much of a crowd. Cable Beach can still get crowded at times but it is a little more laid back than Cabbage. Look for a day pass at one of the resorts for access to loungers, umbrellas and resort pools. Passes should only run about $25 and a cab ride from the cruise ship is $10 a person.

Love Beach
Love Beach is often touted as the best place to snorkel in Nassau but the reef is actually almost a mile off shore so unless you are a great swimmer and have your own life vest I wouldn't recommend Love Beach for snorkeling. The beach is also a night time party spot for the locals so you may find yourself with a trashy beach on some days. Compass Point Resort is located adjacent to the beach and they sell day passes for $20. This is probably the best way to go if you still want to check out Love Beach on your next cruise.

Junkanoo Beach
If you are looking for the most convenient beach from the cruise ships and you don't want to pay for a taxi then Junkanoo is about a 15 minute walk from the ships. This isn't the best beach by far, but it offers a few places to eat and chairs can be rented for around $5. The money you save on cab fare can be used to buy a couple Bahama Mama drinks.

These are some of the beaches that are the most convenient for cruise passengers who may not have all day in Nassau. If you are on a cruise that has a longer stay in Nassau such as one of the 4 night cruises out of Jacksonville, FL ask your cab driver to take you to one of the more secluded beaches on the Southwestern part of the island. Not only is it possible to have the beach to yourself but this is some of the best seashell hunting on the island.

TV advertising has made the idea of having a beautiful "Hollywood" smile extremely popular. Nowadays, you see a celebrity who has a perfect smile with white teeth, and you want it for yourself. The question is, though, can you afford the cosmetic dentistry costs?

The field of cosmetic dentistry encompasses a wide variety of procedures starting from traditional metal braces and removable dentures and ending with Invisalign and porcelain veneers. In 2011, the most popular teeth straightening treatments are Invisalign, Damon braces and lingual braces. Tooth whitening has always been popular, so nothing new here - your options range from over-the-counter products to professional cleanings in dental offices (and don't forget about dental veneers). As for dental prostheses, dentures are becoming less widespread, and many dental offices are offering dental implants instead of them.

If you want veneers, you need to prepare yourself to pay anything from 1000 to 2000 dollars per one veneer. Composite veneers are cheaper than porcelain veneers, but due to their inefficiency, most dentists have stopped offering them. Other brands of dental veneers include Cerec veneers, Lumineers, and many others. The cost of these veneers should also linger in the range from 1000 to 2000 dollars.

If you are considering to straighten your teeth with braces, Invisalign and damon braces are probably your best options, although traditional braces are still good. Invisalign should cost you anything from 3000 to 8000 dollars (depends on the amount of aligners you order), and damon braces are approximately the same - above 3000 dollars. You need to consult with your dentist, though, so that he could explain you the pros and cons of all these kinds of treatments.

For teeth whitening, you can either buy over-the-counter products, like crest whitestrips, or go to a professional dentist who will bleach the teeth for you in an office. Most over-the-counter tooth whitening products cost 30 dollars on average, but the results may not be very satisfying. Dental offices will provide for better results, but the prices start from 500 dollars.

If you want to replace your natural teeth with false teeth, you can choose from tooth bridges, dentures, and implants. Dentures are the cheapest option - they can be found at 1000 dollars. (It is, however, possible to find even cheaper dentures that cost below 500 dollars, but the quality of those is questionable.) Dental implants are the most expensive false teeth - an implant costs 2000 dollars and you will also have to pay for the restoration procedure which can cost another 2000 dollars, or even more. If you want cheap dental implants, your best bet is to either go to a dental school or another country - Mexico, for example.

If you don't already know a cosmetic dentist you can trust, you need to experiment - search for dentists in your area, whether on the Internet or through recommendations of your friends or relatives, and visit them to see what they have to offer. Be sure to ask your prospective dentist how many years has he been working in this field, what kind of procedures he is specialized in, if he is telling the whole pricing information (As in, are there going to be additional fees and cosmetic dentistry costs or not?) and be sure to ask him for his portfolio.

If you live in an area that is prone to electrical blackouts, or if you’ve ever lost power in your home, then you know the importance of having a back up power source. Sometimes we don’t even know how long the power will be out, or we may need to have power in case of an emergency situation.

With the advent of better solar energy systems, you can now have a safe and cost-effective back up plan in place. Maybe you thought about it before but never realized how affordable a solar system would be. Now is definitely the time to start looking in your area for solar system installers so you can be better prepared for the future.

Solar energy can be used for a variety of things. The important thing to note is that a solar energy system will capture and convert sunlight into stored electrical energy, so you can use it as a primary energy source for your home if you really wanted. Of course, since we are talking about a back up energy source, we’ll stick to the more immediate needs first.

You can have a solar energy system set up to heat your home’s water, which can be a big burden off your conventional water heater bill right off the bat. Older homes used to heat their water this way, before gas and coal water heaters came onto the market. So you see, people used to utilize the sun as an energy source a long time ago. It’s just that it was brushed aside in favor of “newer” fossil fuels and eventually buried under all the newer energy sources.

Aside from heating your water, the sun’s energy can also be used to heat your home and power your lights and ceiling fixtures. Remember, you don’t have to run your entire house on solar energy alone. You can choose what parts will be solar-powered and which will be regular electrical energy.

If a household energy system is not something you’re after, you can choose to have individual solar powered appliances instead. These can have their own solar-powered batteries or run off of a solar collector panel that is positioned on your home’s roof. Having the option to run a stove or radio on solar power really has its advantages.

Remember those blackouts that tend to occur when least expected? Now you don’t have to worry about how to cook a meal or about staying informed during major storms or blackouts. Solar cells normally store energy in solar batteries, so you run these appliances off of the stored energy for short periods without depleting the batteries entirely.

Even more importantly, you’ll have some stored energy that will be able to supply power to a phone. Solar energy systems don’t collect energy during days with extreme cloud coverage, or at night, so you won’t be able to continuously collect more sunlight at all hours. If you plan ahead, though, you’ll have plenty of back up sources already charged up and ready to go in case you experience another blackout.

A lot of people aren't sure where to begin when it comes to getting their cholesterol back on track. It can be quite an intimidating experience because you may feel like you have to overhaul your entire lifestyle. While you definitely have to make some strong changes, you don't have to do everything overnight. Sometimes it's better to set small goals for yourself and then work on achieving while getting used to new eating habits. You should also get over the misconception that fighting high cholesterol has to be tedious or boring. You might just find a new diet pattern that you enjoy even more than your old one, especially considering that you'll be a lot healthier in the long run. Here are some things you can do on a daily basis to get you back on track with high cholesterol levels.

Start with your doctor - your family physician is going to become your new best friend and you're going to see him more than ever. It's important to keep in regular consultation (within reason) because you need to know if what you're doing is actually effective. There is also the option of getting medication for your cholesterol levels, but in many cases it's not absolutely necessary. Sometimes if you take care of the basics then you don't have to complicate matters with certain medications that can end up being a crutch.

Saturated and trans fats - these are two elements that you need to avoid especially if they come attached to foods that don't add to your nutritional levels. Saturated fats are commonly associated with processed meats or animal products. Trans fats are contained in anything deep-fried and they are a major part of fast food. Both of them are bad and come attached to a long list of high cholesterol foods to avoid.

Eat fiber - while staying away from high cholesterol foods is essential, eating more good foods will also be an important part of your plan. Fiber is one of the best things you can eat a matter what your current health situation. It helps to keep your system regular in addition to absorbing cholesterol as well. It comes in many forms, and not all of them have to be boring. For example, there's no easy way to start off your day than with a big bowl of oatmeal accompanied by fresh fruit and a touch of honey.

More fish - in addition to cutting down on red meat, you should replace your main meal choices with things like clean chicken and fish. Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids which is an excellent component that helps to keep your skin supple. More importantly, fish can help you to raise all those of good cholesterol while being absolutely delicious in the process.

Time to exercise - it doesn't matter if you are dealing with cholesterol or you're already in shape, exercise should be a main component in your daily life. You don't necessarily have to start off by running marathons every day, but if you are dealing with cholesterol then exercise is essential. You don't necessarily have to torture yourself either by forcing yourself to do things you don't enjoy. Try to find an activity that you can maintain, and don't be afraid to ask a friend or family member to help you do it.

Are you one of the many people worldwide who at times feels that you are simply working to pay bills? Do you realize how much of your monthly salary goes into buying food from the supermarket and green grocer, paying electricity and gas bills, buying petrol for the car or cars and on unnecessary items that you feel your family must have due to the latest media craze? Have you ever considered an alternate lifestyle where things are simpler, bills are cheaper and the family has a greater feeling of togetherness? Or perhaps you feel like that is impossible for you. You might be surprised how easy simplifying - even just a little bit - really is.

An eco-friendly life style is one in which you try to live as a part of your environment and to live within your means so there is less pressure to acquire worldly necessities and in many cases, there will be more money available due to your spending less and having smaller household and utility bills. Adopting this green lifestyle will greatly enrich your life while teaching you to reduce, reuse and recycle and bringing your family closer by enhancing key values such as hard work, team work and togetherness.

Using renewable energy sources is one way to embrace this type of living and the use of solar power for your home is one way to drastically cut costs. If you cannot afford a standard system, then there are DIY solar kits to make solar panels which are quite efficient. Reducing electricity costs needs to be a family effort; each member has to make an effort to turn off lights, unplug appliances, turn down the heating in winter and turn it up a bit in summer; spend more time together in the family room and reduce the number of activities going on all over the house at nights and increase family activities like introducing family game nights which can help in this effort.

Take Small Steps

The important thing is to to take small, manageable steps, that can gradually add up to big changes. So first you might try challenging your household to reduce your electricity bills by 10%. Ideally you should do a home power audit (or have a professional do one for you) to see where exactly you are using the most power, but as a rule of thumb, an electric hot water system could account for up to 1/3 of your power bill, turning appliances off at the wall, and never leaving them in 'sleep' mode, and turning off lights every time you leave a room, are all good places to start. If you have an electric hot water system, try washing clothes with cold water, never washing dishes under running water (and don't pre-rinse with hot water) and cut your shower times down by 10% (or more).

There are other changes you can make besides saving electricity, such as walking/biking/bussing more often, to cut gasoline use, having "no spend" weeks, where you use up all the food in your cupboards and avoid buying anything new, buy clothes only from a charity shop for a season... but the best way to make lifestyle changes is usually to start with just one or two areas you feel you can change with confidence and then move on from there. So make your choices, research what you can do in that area, perhaps find yourself a challenge group online, and get moving. Nothing will change until you make a start. But once you do, the sky's the limit!

When I moved into the world of freelance writing, I was blessed with the ability to eschew the 9 to 5 and control my schedule more than most of my ex-coworkers, friends, and families. It became clear to me that working for yourself from home (assuming you are single!) makes it a lot easier to get enough sleep. One of the most common problems that comes about as a demand from our work-based life and hectic schedules is that we simply do not get enough sleep.

This is really unfortunate because not only does it endanger others when you're driving or working with heavy equipment, but it means your overall quality of life is simply reduced. Not getting enough sleep literally effects your brain, your mood, your memory, or your ability to live life to the fullest.

It's not the life I want you to live!

Nor is it a life you should want for yourself. To that end, here's what you should be aware of when it comes to the quality of your sleep and making sure you aren't cutting it short.

1. Limit or cut out your caffeine intake. People have different levels of sensitivity towards caffeine. I have a friend who can drink it at 11pm at night and go to sleep two hours later but I suspect his sleep is a bit jittery. For me personally I try to not drink any coffee after 12 noon as I have seen it effect my sleep more than once. For best results, I suggest you do the same. One way to baseline this is to get rid of caffeine entirely and see how it makes you feel once you've gotten through withdrawal. Is your sleep better or worse with it out of your life?

2. Look at your sleep environment. Is it any good? For instance, do you have to deal with loud noises throughout the night such as sirens or dump trunks? What about loud neighbors or perhaps people on the street? Other factors that influence your sleep include the temperature in the room. Is it too cold? Too hot? What about your pillow and bed. Are they too soft or too hard?

3. Consider how your work relates to your sleep schedule. Does your schedule consistently interfere with your ability to go to bed on time and get enough sleep? Do you have a job in which you are so stressed out you wake up in the middle of the night or unable to fall asleep thinking about work? This is a big one and having a problem with work is one of the most common causes of sleep deprivation.

4. How you eat effects not just your weight and your mood but how you sleep. It's the same old story you've heard before just applied to one more healthy habit - in that case, getting a good night of sleep. Eating more processed foods, fried foods, and overeating result in less than stellar sleep. Conversely, eating more raw fruits and vegetables and ensuring adequate intake of your vitamins, protein, fiber, and carbohydrate levels is tied to improving the quality of your sleep.

I'd like to conclude by encouraging you to really make sleep a priority in your life. Don't just push it aside for everything else - especially the most boring things in life, like watching TV and working for your boss! Make a commitment to yourself to get the sleep you need.

Bangkok is one of the best known places for shopping and you may definitely want to grab some good products at affordable prices when you visit the place. This article gives some useful tips so that you can have an enjoyable shopping experience in Bangkok.

Plan your shopping timings

The most important tip to be remembered for shopping in Bangkok is that, the timing needs to be planned in advance or else you may land up in a mess due to excessive heat, traffic and other problems. You need to make up your mind first regarding the things you want to buy the most and decide on visiting the suitable places. Simply venturing around the town with hopes of finding the things of your choice, is not a wise thing to do. You can choose specific areas for shopping, for example, China town, Siam and other places.

It is good to visit the markets in the evenings when it is cooler but make sure to avoid the rush hours, that is, between 5 to 6:30 or else you may get stuck in traffic for a long time. But in case, you are able to find time for shopping only in the morning, then moving around the air-conditioned malls is the best option for you.

Most of the shops in the city start at around 10o’clock in the morning and are open for about twelve hours or more than that. A number of shops are also open on Sundays to cater to the large number of tourists visiting the place on off days.

Check quality and compare prices before making a purchase

If you buy something from a shop without comparing the price and the quality with the other shops, you may end up regretting later. It is always a wise idea to look around the place and compare the prices of different shops before making the purchase. Another important tip to be remembered while shopping is that, you should not let the shopkeeper know that your are a tourist. Vendors tend to raise the prices of commodities in case of tourist customers.

If you are buying from pavements, make sure to check the quality of the product carefully as these places tend to sell goods at highly discounted rates which are often ‘rejects’ and hence highly questionable.

Bargaining

Except the branded shops of the shopping malls, any smaller shops are ideal places for bargaining in Bangkok. While bargaining, make your approach positive, that is, the willingness to buy should be visible from your expressions. Through efficient bargaining, you may end up buying good products at quite reasonable prices.

Safety on the street

While moving around the streets of Bangkok, you need to be extremely alert and careful about your belongings as pick-pocketing is not an uncommon thing in the place. Busy areas like market places are more prone to theft and pick-pocketing and it is advisable not to carry any expensive things while shopping.

Adhering to these simple tips will make your shopping experience in Bangkok a pleasant and memorable one.
