When I started this whole blog thing I think that I had the right idea in my head. I mean I wanted to put things down and record my thoughts. I wanted to be able to say things that helped me understand what in the world was going on in my life. This Technology is just rad. As I read God's Word and other forms of literature I figure stuff out in my head. There are times that I get mad and angry. And there are times that I havent posted stuff because I dont want people reading about it. There are times that I have wanted to say stuff to God that I don't think I would want other people to read.
So, I am saying goodbye to the blog world in regards to writing personal things. I have gotten a journal and I am passionately writing about the things that God is doing in my life. I think from time to time I will post pictures and stuff, but I think that I just don't want to post stuff so that other people can think good or bad stuff about me. I think that my blogging has gotten more about that than what I wanted when I first started this thing.

Say what Brother!!!!

One of good friend in Alabama sent me this today. I pray that we will see He has everything in control and we don't need to worry about a thing. I pray that throughout this day I will GIVE God back what is His and what He has blessed me with. Father you alone are worthy of that and you alone are capable of meeting all our needs.

May you give us two things today.....Not too much and not too little food, just enough that will give us a square meal. Also will you help us to speak the truth. No lies, just honest talk. I have been so good staying on top of this blog. I do it because I want to impact my own life and at the same time maybe encourage others. I have missed a couple a days trying to post.

I have gotten in this groove of listening to some amazing leaders. I like to go to his site and listen to the series, then his site, and then spend time with this guy. I try to listen to the messages and get pumped up. I try to sit and be patient for what God is teaching me. Soaking life in can be crazy. Being still and focusing on God's plan for me is just sometimes slow.... I am a fast pace person always looking for the solution behind every problem. I want so badly like most people to change the world, but what I need to be doing is first focusing on changing myself. Alan Smith introduced me to their music and their desire to serve the Christ Crucified. He is unashamed and passionate about giving God glory in his music. I love Leeland's spontaneous desire to sing at this Chickfila.

Watch the Man in the suit. At first he was like who are these crazy people singing then 2 min into Leeland singing it is almost like the Spirit Lord overtakes him and he is singing and praising Jesus. I have been married for 6 years in June. When I go shopping with Rachel and the kids I don't really get to go in the store anymore. I just drive around the parking lot in circles with the kids. How did that happen. They should have a parks in front of stores like target, lowes and walmart so that you can take the kids and play..... so that I don't have to drive in circles.....who likes to drive in circles? Steven Furtick solidified so many things today that I have been pondering in my little brain this past week. Bottom line is that GOD IS THE ONE WHO OWNS THE BAKERY.
Here are some of the things that he said....

Elevation: Steven Furtick
Luke 4:18
steven read it out loud
captivity is a result of strongholds that tear apart marriages and those strongholds can create financial burdens
-1 kings 17:6-17
-the god first factor is his motto
- she wasn't really about to die....
-steven furtick just imitated a preacher telling you to give. It was hilarous. He sounds just like the guys on T.V trying to get your money. If anyone has this on video.... I need it
-even in a time of famine He will meet our needs.
-FIRST to God ....THEN to u
-God owns the bakery
- he is handing out pies
Matt 6:33 God takes care of me when I put God in front of my finances
- prov 3:9-10
- just in this serous alone Furtick said that 500 people have given there lives to Christ.
- At the end of the service Furtick started handing out pies to people. Here's a picture

Riding God's Tale

4-11-2008 In a rush
I drove to Charlotte today. I-20 was busy today. The left hand lane was filled with cars bumber to bumber. I always hate for the person in the front being pushed to get out of the way. I admit I have been that person before. I have also been the person riding someones tale trying to get them to hurry up. It made me think about how I get so frustrated when I don't get my way. There are times when things just aren't going my way. I'm sure God gets frustrated with me,when I start riding his tale. You know those moments when I start telling him to hurry up. I hate that I do that......

Official masters badge

Well Byron Morris came over to my parents house last night and we had such a good dinner talking. SecureGive, kids, finances, being the man, my parents, and not to mention I am totally ADHD. I am like a mustang that needs to slow down. I am reading this book that is making my head spin. All I am thinking about is outsourcing different jobs....i have all these projects outside of work too that I want to do. I have this climbing wall project, the garden, and of course trying to finish the house. Not to mention I am married with three kids. I am writing a book at the moment and the chapter that I am on now is take a back seat. It is so hard to do that. i feel like if I miss the boat I might be in bad shape. Why am I believing that lie. I am on the boat. Christopher come back to reality. God is going to take you far as He sees fit. Do what you can and chill out. Stop being so uptight. Relax. Go for a jog and after you run sir and thank God for the things you have. Thank Him for what He has down and what He is going to do in your life.
You are such a monkey u remind me of Finn. Some awesome stuff in that book. In the last couple verses John claims that there were more things that Jesus did that just couldn't be written. In other words Jesus is so much more than what we know. I thought that was pretty cool.

Rachel and the kids are still in Charlotte N.C. And I came over here to the local Starbucks near my parents house to relax and drink a double tall mocha.

I am afraid to say it but their coffee really is the best. Once you taste that bold hit of espresso it is like a healing that comes over you. It is amazing to me that their will one day be something even better in Heaven.... This man made drink is just something my body calls for regularly. In the future each time I drink a cup of Starbucks warm brew I will lift my cup to the Lord and say "one day Lord, one day"....

Last night I started to write a book. Dave Willis has inspired me. He is two books ahead of me, but in all reality he has so much more to say than I do.

However, the book is called Who's your Daddy.....
Here are coupled of the chapter's: Water not Wine,Home is were your mind is, Where's the Iron?....etc
it will be compiled of many things including my experiences, but mostly it will be about how a man should love his wife & when we apply basic principles our marriage can flourish. If anything it could be a good potty seat read.

Team Work is everything

It is not looking good. My three kids are in the back seat with me. Riley is sleeping, Finn is doing something and baby girl sounds very angry. There is nothing I can do. But wait for someone to come and tell me what the damage is.......i hate entropy.....it can cost so much money sometimes.....the wait is killing me. Six men sit around talking not working on my brakes, but just talking about who knows what.

Rachel and I were coming down the mountain about 30 min ago and we started feeling this weird sensation on the car. Of course as a man I am just fine with the feeling, but to Rachel this is detrimental. Rachel is like a fierce lion and if anyone messes with her three cubs you better believe she will be eating you my friend for lunch. This new feeling or shaking sound on the car was like a hunter gazing at her children about to make them a trophy on his wall.

So here I am in this car just sitting. I am just waiting for the damage. Rachel sits inside Big T Tire & Automotive reading a book, while I am in the car suspended in time and suspended waiting to sign a receipt that will be three times what I just spent in the mountains.

At least Rachel will be O.K. she will have new brake pads, new roters, and new seals. The bad part about all of this is that $600 dollars will not be used as fashion, or a nice weekend getaway. No this $600 will not ever be thought of again. Thanks Mr.T for my new brakes. You are the best.... I guess it was just a late birthday present....Happy Birthday critter from me to you....

The best part of the day was when we left the cabin and headed home. We had 6 cupcakes leftover from my birthday extravaganza and 6 thru-hikers who just started hiking the AT started coming in from the trail heading to mountain crossing. I went over to the group and asked if they would like our leftover cupcakes. The smiles were infectious. I would say that those moments that Rachel and experienced thru-hiking in 2002 were the best moments. Unexpected.....happy....filling my belly with the love of others....no motives just real giving from the heart. When we were leaving later you could hear this one girl on the phone talking to someone telling them how the cupcake was helping her stay on the trail.
I will say in 2002 I felt that more from some hikers than some Christians....challenging is it not. Rachel and I have a dream one day to own a Hostel on the trail. A place were thru-hikers can come off the AT and relax. See some people that love Christ and want to serve Him for His glory by giving back our talents and resources to hikers. Who knows maybe one day we will be able to do this one day. Until then we will see......

4-7-2008 Monday

today I turned 31. the kids p@nted me pictures for my office. They loved singing me happy b-day.

later on in the day we met the willi's and we went to Chestatee animal reserve. It was cool we saw lions, tigers, monkeys and a ton of other animals. The kids had a blast and the adults got to talk about life, fatigue, and tell children stories.

Later we went to the Wagon Wheel for lunch and headed up to the mountain to go to sleep. The kids sorta slept in the car.

Mountain crossing was great. There looked to be some thru-hikers up there and later that night we got to feed them our spaghetti leftovers. Speaking of which we had a great meal with the Willi's, and after we put the kids down to bed we had such a nice time talking. Dave and Ashley are in the same faze of life as us. Raising kids and copping with finances. We talked about some of the books Dave has written and the "X" factor his new theory on a book. I can't wait to read it. Dave hurry up and finish.

Later in the night Rachel and I went up stairs when it was time to go to bed. We suddenly realized that cooper had locked himself in his bed room. We eventually got him out. Later the evening seemed to never end. I will save that story for Dave for his new book.

4-6-2008 Sun

the boys had an awesome day. We ran around Mountain Crossing. Riley loved walking up and down the trials....i think he might be a born hiker or a born climber....Winton's staff built this cool workout gym and Riley showed me some of his moves....Finn he loves watching his brother.

Mountian people are cool....no cares or need for fancy stuff, just a home grown simplified life.

Later on in the day we took the kids to the square in Dahlonega. We ate at the smith house and sat with a couple a little older than us with three kids as well. We had a dreat meal. Homestyle fried chicken, cream corn, green beans, all the works. It was like being at Grandmas house just without grandma and it wasn't free.

Dave and Ashley Willis were up here for the day. Dave was doing a wedding for a couple up here in the mountians and after the reception we met them at a coffee shop on the square. I couldn't have asked for a better day with my family. I tell you this is what life is all about. Chillin with my family and making memory's that will last a lifetime.

4-5-2008 Saturday.

Man what a day. It thought for minute that we wouldn't make it. Rachel and I cleaned, painted, and hung everything from blinds to pictures. Shawn who is the cadie for Mark Omera wanted to come a day early so let's say we were in a rush. The breaking point for Rachel was when Rachel painted the edges of the wall the wrong color. Then there was a monsoon that came through town and the rain started leaking down our chimney. And not to mention our unfinished front door kept getting wet.... Oh and did I tell you that the kids watched TV for like 8 hours straight.....

Shane called me at 2:00 to tell me that he had been in a car accident. Which if that hadn't happened we wouldn't have had the 2 hours we really desperately needed. Let's just say when we drove out of the drivway we were exhausted and still will be for 14 days.

Well it has almost arrived. my birthday. Renting for masters is great. We get to get out of town and take a break with the kids. This year we are going to up to North Georgia and be near the Mountains. We are staying in one of Winton's cabins for a couple of days. He is the owner of Mountain Crossings. Rachel and I have many memories here. She went up to school here and she and I thru-hiked about 1600 miles of the A.T for our honeymoon. We meet many travelers here. We had many memories. I am just ready for some blue grass music and the ambiance of being in the mountains.

We are heading up with the Willis Family and I think it will be great. I will say these past days leading up to tournament have been stressful. As I was driving to work I kept thinking to myself, "Christopher, turn on." I felt like I was just moving through time and that was weird. I realized this morning before I got out of the car to go to work that the zipper on my pants was down. That was when I realized how tired I was.

It will be nice when Masters is over and we can get back to moving in our house and do it at our pace.
