There still an opportunity for you to succeed.

No chance? Why the world is just eager for things that you ought to create its store of true wealth is still meager its needs are incessant and great, when a man says he is hopeless, he is slamming a door in the face of God. Yearns for more power and beauty more laughter and love and romance, more loyalty, labor and duty, the world belong to the energetic. No chance--why there's nothing but chance!

A year after 50

Every 1^st of October will always remain an historic day; it will always be a day to be celebrated all over the Nigeria federation and that is why I will not fail to wish all faithful Nigerian ‘Happy Independence’.

This is day to celebrate but also a time to talk about what we so much long for which is CHANGE

It was said that the only thing that is constant in life is change; and talking about change I mean positive change.

I know only few people will agree with me that Nigeria is undergoing gradual changes; even though I might not be able to defend it but the truth is that if you have not develop then you can not see any developmental change in the country….for instance a business man whose net income increase from #200000 to #1000000 will not agree that there is no growth in the economy; he has some how manage to change his economy and develop. People who look for greener pasture are those who can not sow the seeds but desires fruits.

A man should learn to develop everyday by his attributes and choices which are the building blocks to build his life. If you want to change the world you must first change your life, your ways of reasoning…you easily change the world by changing your own world. One truth is that no matter how develop a country; it can not develop you if you fail to develop yourself… the country need you to develop and not the country to develop.

I don't despise the new fashions. I admire them, when they are good. What is good is not for only one man, will you please try to understand that a thing of beauty is a joy forever? Whatever is born of truth, whether in art or religion, belongs to eternity; it never goes out of fashion. Fashion is the act of demonstrating our culture; there should be regards for culture and fashion. There is more to fashion than beauty and style. Will you also remember that modern styles, modes, fashions, inventions, call them what you will, are the mere average product of human thought and labor during a few years; the ability of man to always desire new styles, the act of putting art into images.

There are different types of fashions, and so many things are categorize under the umbrella of fashion. The one I shall be talking about is the one that deals with dresses, the production and market of new styles.

Certainly it is easier to say what to avoid than what to accept, for there's more of it. Broad is the road of error, and the faults and follies, vices and sins, the right thing to do cannot be told in detail for another, since every man must manifest his own individuality as he must work out his own salvation. Am not here to criticize what we put on or how we dress but just to share more light on what look to us to be in folk. I have heard about a conversation between a priest and a boy in whom the priest tries to comment on what the boy was putting on, the boy told the priest that he is putting on what is in fogue. Yes we love to flow with the current whether good or bad; we don’t want to be labeling oldies, thereby closing our eyes to the evil that can be cause by what we are wearing. There is what to put on and when to really be in it; you don’t wear flashy clothes to place a sad event has just occurred.

There should be decency in what we wear, you dress the way you want to be address. What you wear determine the type of people attracted to you. If a lady always put on skimpy skirt tube or different kind of uncovered wears, she may just be attracted to guys who put on crazy jeans. Fashion should be trendy and gorgeous but not erotic. Some ladies don’t care about what people feel on what they are putting on especially by the opposite sex. A man sexual drive is stimulated by sight. The moment a guy looks at a lady, he only has two options either to be a true friend or to have you warm his bed. At first sight people tends to judge us by outward our look. A guy saw a lady in my present and referred to her as marriage material, indeed she is if to go by what she is putting on. No matter what you are putting on if you are not confidence you are not sexy, you don’t need to be half naked before you look appealing to a guy. Let him not only see your beauty alone but also who you are in what you are putting on. In our fashions and styles, decency should be included when considering what to choose or wear.

To conclude by what the priest said to the boy. “It’s truly what is in town right now but you can live without it”. I expect we shall find no two houses built or furnished alike. No two human with the same body structure and characters. Why been like them when you can be yourself. If you wish to be "utterly other". of course you are hollow, artificial, insincere; moreover a nuisances. It’s only a fool that try to be somebody else.

Dream and Achieve Your Dream

Oh! Why did you have to wake me now this is what a friend said to me long time go, then I asked him what he dreamt about and he told me he saw himself in the future world. There dreams we all want to come to reality, believe me, it is possible if only you put them in your mind and heart because the image you carry on them echo out to the universe for manifestation.

A dream is a goal without legs; you need to make it walk, and carrying it along everywhere you go. You become successful the moment you start moving towards your goals, the moment you belief in your dream and want it to come to reality. Many people killed their dreams by remaining stagnant , what do you think would happen to any carnivores that failed to search for its preys; starve to death I guess, that is what happen to a dream that is not set in motion. Think about the benefits and rewards you stand to gain from achieving your dream because this will help you to work towards making it become reality. Imagine how you would feel and what it would be like reaching your goals in life, all you need to do is start seeing yourself as an achiever because goals is like a fuel in the furnace of achievement, the only thing you need is to BELIEF, develop a passion for your goals and this will guide you to achieving your dream; goals is a passion of life that is deeply tied to our sense of fact that we no longer question why we work towards them. The moment you realize your goal in life and work towards it you don’t seem to know how far you are heading to and how long it will take to get there. I know it as not been easy but you need to keep pushing on and remember that winning isn’t everything but wanting to win, your burning desire to succeed can make things easy for you because it will makes you not only notice your opportunities when they come knocking but to also creates more successful people doesn’t wait for opportunity but create opportunities. The more your opportunity, better your chances of winning and making it to your goal.

Set your mind free of doubts, a mind that focus only on failure can never achieve success, for you to achieve your goals in life you have to show the right attitude and optimism. There is a saying that you don’t value what you have until you loose it. Thank God I haven’t lost you my friend before realizing it. Friendship is one of the cheapest and most accessible of pleasures; it requires no outlay and no very serious expenditure of time or trouble. It is quite easy to make friends, if one wants to... but there are people you really need in life. There is surely no greater pleasure in the world than to feel one is needed, welcomed, missed, and loved and that is what I feel my friend when am around you, you understand me even when I fail to say a word, you only need to look on my face and the puzzles are solve.

Friends are like spices they add value to your life, giving you the ingredient you need, they are like watch that beat true for all time and never runs down. Multiply joy and divides grief, enter into the word sorrow and friends break the word into pieces, one who understand your silence a volume of sympathy bound in cloth, one who lift you up when your wings have trouble remembering how to fly. Though I am far away separated by vision and mission, you don’t seem to a long distance away because in everyone’s face I see you, in my dream I see you my friend you are so close to my heart.

Am not the best shoe in the market, still you bought me with priceless money, polish me when am dirty, never put me out on my own so as not to be stolen, put me on to a special occasion were people can always see me, and I always feel proud to order there step. Time without number have failed in carrying out my functions by stepping on thorns, stumble and inflict pain and shame, but still never throw me away or even exchange me for money or another shoe. They learn to cope with my abuses and disappointment. We both share the fault and move on in life. You never judge me by my outlook you take your time to see what others did not see in me and that; that has been so dark to me

Nigerian, we need to wake up from our slumber, if we want to reap the blessing of freedom we must undergo the fatigue of supporting it. Why do we wait for someone to start, majority job is no man job. If we want to build a strong nation it must be in love and with unity. Individuality can not make us one, we can only grow tall when we live in one community and peaceful society. Forget tribalism and ethnicity, put the motive of the power belong to us behind us, if the west are pivoting the affair of the nation; that does not generalize them to be the FOOD BASKET OF THE NATION instead of their individual motto. The change begins with you. Be the visionary that the country is looking for, if you think the country is corrupt check yourself if you are a saint in making.
Corruption is everywhere in you home and in my also. If truly we want to eradicate corruption in our society it begins in our individual home and community; in our sphere of contact. Remove the peg in your eyes before removing the log in other people’s eyes. Our country needs those that can find solutions to our problem, people who will make new discoveries and proffer new thoughts and ideologies that we make the nation great not people who will create law for their own self interest. We do not need to wait for help, be a source of inspiration to others, and be a helper, a giver, a solution provider. “Nigerian can no longer be a potential”…Jide Salu. We know we have what it takes to be a great nation; we have the strength, the youth and the resources. We don’t need to be force into what we never want to do just to have a loaf on our table and wine in our belly. In the Roman and Legion army it is said that there can only be a bad leaders and no bad followers. The country needs to grow so also the leader need to change. We need to treat the corruption in our society in Chinese way. We need leader that can be a Cat in the midst of the Rat around us, someone who we not be bully by the so called god’s fathers. The politician are what they are because we give them the power to be, we allow them to rob us of their right and duty to the nation, we gave them the power when we failed to make the best use of it. Though it look that we can not do anything against this disease of epidemic proportion in our society and one that has the greatest effect on more people than any other single interaction that occur on each one of its. The politician are not the only one concerned in this, it is at every places where leadership is excise, in our various house and working place, at every fields and areas of life. If we want to wash Nigeria clean, we need start washing our dirty linen first. Corruption is everywhere at every places you can imagine. It does not start and end at the political arena; it is what affects you and I. Politician in Nigeria need to stop acting like a magician, they should stop drawing our attention away from what they are doing. We need our eyes open to be able to see things that need to be done in our community. Many people rush into things without giving it full consideration, they are too anxious of getting what they want against all odds. Raising a child is very much like building a sky scraper. If the first few stories are slightly out of line, no one will notice, but when the building is eighteen or twenty stories high, the mistake are then notice and confusion begins. A child rearing can be compare to building, if a child foundation is faulty, it become a problem to the society when he attain the age of maturity and every attempts to teach him good manners become futile. It is better to train a child than to repair an idiot. The capacity of children to retain impression made upon them in early days should not be neglected. If you criticize them, they learn to condemn, no matter what you do or give to such a child he will never appreciate it. If they live with hostility, they live to fight. If they live with ridicule, they learn to be shy. If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty. If they live with tolerance, they live with patience. If they live with encouragement, they learn confidence. If they live with fairness, they learn to justice. If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves. If they live with love, they learn to find love in the world.

The best time to mould a clay pot is when the clay is wet; the best time to bend a fish is when it is freshly killed. Training a child can be compare with planting cocoa trees, clear the ground, cut the trees and remove the lumps, till the ground, create a nursery bed with good soil and shade before exposing it to the harsh weather. If you failed to do the necessary pre-planting and planting activities, then you may end up becoming an unsuccessful farmer with no fruit to harvest. If you don’t give a child the important things in life; then he may not be able to survive and give you the glory you deserve. The best time to instill the best character into a child is during the early stages of his life, when he love to cuddle in your arms, play with your bears, love you reading him a story book or singing lullaby on his journey to dream land (sleeping time) and the most time he stays around you . Not when the child as become a dry fish.

The greatest gift you can give to your child is root of responsibilities and ways of independence. Teach him how to walk and he will learn to run on his own. If you don’t show him the way to be responsible life he will never be independent. All he knows to do is to become a parasite to both you and the community he live. He is so weak to think and too lazy to lay his hand on things that can be beneficial to him and he will end up becoming a nuisance. Teach your child the good and bad side of life, teach him to appreciate the good and show him to manage the bad side of it.

We are created to be happy and live in love with one another, to be contented with what we have and to avoid jealousy, envy and hatred. In spite of the gift of nature to man, something in him repels him at times; it makes him loose the sense of himself. He is affected by angers, jealousy and most especially revenge which is as a result of pride in him. Anger, jealousy and revenge are dangerous emotions and it’s milieu allow these vices to control him, he become easily irritated and always ready to fight on every issues.

A pride man learns to win people by argument he sees himself as the God father and you are either with him or against him even when he seem to be on the wrong track, his belief is only in himself and set himself above others. The deflated ego wages war, war that can cause harm to man who may mean well but misunderstood. He never wants anybody to be above him, in his working place or even in the community. Pride makes us think we are wise, it make us to forget our true identity and makes us claimed to be what we are not making us to forget that there is nothing to boost about in human.
